Hey y'all welcome back to my channel, so in today's video i'm going to be showing you guys how to do this really cute diamond studded, braided ponytail, now y'all! This look is super easy. It'S really really affordable and, most importantly, it is natural hair friendly. So, if you're interested then keep watching okay, so i'm starting off with freshly washed clean hair, and i also blow dried it off camera, so we can just jump right into it. So the first thing that you're going to need for this look is, of course the braiding hair. Now you can use one or two packs, depending on how big you want your braid. I personally just use one pack and you can use whatever brand that you like now, i'm also going to be using a hot comb and a flat iron elastic hair bands, small rubber bands, a hair brush, a few hair, combs bobby pins and you're going to need Any type of styling gel that works for you. This is my personal favorite. The got to be glue, ultra styling gel okay. So the first thing that i'm going to do is take my rat tail comb and, as you guys can see, i am trying to map out the perfect middle part now y'all. I want to make sure i make this clear that you want to take your time on this step because baby, if that part, is crooked, then it's not going to look right so make sure that you take your time and you just keep going until the part Is perfect the way you like it to be okay? So now that i have where i want my part to be i'm just going to take small sections at the top and i'm just going to press that out using my conair infinity flat iron now y'all, i'm one of those type of people. I really don't like using heat on my hair, so, as you all can see, i literally only you know passed it through my hair once or twice that's no edit. I didn't want to get it bone straight. I just wanted to lose some of that texture and then you're going to see me following up with my hot comb, just to press out the roots where the part is. The reason why i had to do this. Y'All is because my hair texture is really really funny. It just was not going to lay down as sleek. If i did not do this so yeah, i just needed to do that, but that step is optional because, like i said i know some people just really do not like putting heat on their hair and baby. I don't blame you, okay, so now that we're done with that, i'm going to take my got to be glue and a brush and y'all are going to see me trying to slick my hair down for the ponytail now y'all. This part right here was where i started to struggle because of my hair texture y'all. It did not want to lay down for nothing, okay, y'all. So since that wasn't working, i decided to go ahead and use my got to be glue, free spray. I went ahead and pulled out my blow dryer and i also switched brushes because i realized the brush that i was using at first was just too soft, so i would definitely recommend using a very hard brush when you are trying to slick down your hair. Of course, if you're natural, if you're relaxed, then you shouldn't have this problem, but if you're natural then definitely make sure your brush is hard because it's going to make it so much easier to sleek it back, especially when you use that spray and you use that Hair dryer and right here, i'm just making sure my baby hairs are laid and then i'm going to go ahead and slick it back into that ponytail, so so, okay, so this is how it should look and y'all. This was the slickest that i could get my hair, but you know i'm satisfied with it. So now i'm just gon na go ahead and take a scarf and i'm just gon na wrap my hair and i'm gon na. Let that sit on there for about 10-15 minutes just so it can lay down even flatter and then we're going to start on our braid, okay y'all. So now we're going to take our braiding hair, and i decided i only needed one pack for this. You can always use more than one, but i personally only wanted to use one pack and now i'm going to go ahead and take that hair out and, as you all will see, i'm going to take a really small piece and i'm going to sit that off. To the side, y'all will see me using that a little bit later, but right now, i'm just going to start working on my braid, so really y'all. This is the easiest thing ever i'm just going to take my elastic band and i'm going to pull it through. The hair literally like this okay, so now i'm going to turn around so you guys can get a better view and right here, i'm just taking the ponytail and i'm going to literally start wrapping it around. My hair, like you, would any other regular scrunchie and then i'm going to take the braiding hair and start spreading it around my natural hair, so that you cannot see it at all. And now i'm just going to start braiding the ponytail and i'm just going to use a few bobby pins to just flatten out the top where my natural hair is okay. So now that we're done with the braid i'm going to go ahead and take this small rubber band and just secure the end of the braid, and i'm also going to take that small extra piece of hair that we left out. I'M going to use another small rubber band and just loop it in the same way i did with the braiding hair and i'm going to just start wrapping it around the hair okay, so you can leave it like this. If you want to keep it plain and simple and just wear the braid but y'all know i'm extra, so i'm going to stud mine out so y'all when i got to the hair store, i was hoping that i would find some really cute hair pins. But i wasn't able to find any hairpins that i like so i'm going to show you guys this hack so right here. I'Ve just picked up three different sets of earrings from the hair store and they were all literally just a dollar a piece so yeah, i'm just showing y'all the back of the earring, so y'all can see just how long they are and now all i'm going to Do is just take each back, i'm going to bend it a little bit and just stick it in the braid and y'all. It literally worked like a charm. I was happy that the earrings were as cheap as they were, because it just made it easier for me to bend them. So if you're going to use this hack, then make sure that you bend the end of those earrings, because if you leave them straight, then they're definitely going to fall out. Okay, y'all! So now we're done. I want to give y'all a little bit of a close-up. I want y'all to see how blinged out this braid is. The earrings that i chose to use were the pearl ones and the iridescent diamond ones, and now i'm just going to go ahead and take these hair clips and i'm going to clip them to the back of my head just to complete the look okay y'all. So this is the finished look and when i tell y'all i am so in love with this braid like it's cute, it's stylish, it's really trendy and i don't know i just really really love it, and not only that y'all. It was very easy to do and it's really really inexpensive. The braiding hair was 199 and the earrings were a dollar a piece. So it's a very inexpensive protective style for all my natural hair girls or, if you just want to take a break from the wigs or whatever. So i really hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did make sure you like comment and subscribe to my channel turn on your post notifications and as always, i really appreciate y'all for watching, and i will see you in my next one bye.
