I'M getting ready to do some afro um twist springy twist, and someone asked me to do a tutorial. I will warn you now that i'm strickland amateur um, but i will also link the video where i learned how to do this method. Um down in the comp and um comment: section uh: this is the hair you'll use uh. It'S called spring afro twist, i'm using the 24 inch and i'm also using the color number two, that's a full pack. I have some i had from last time. So i'm going to start out with this. You will also need some type of gel, i'm just using some eco styler gel. Today, you will need a rat tail cone, a pair of scissors and something to tie your hair up you're, going to start out, hopefully on some clean hair and i'm i normally start in the back. But i don't even know how to set the camera up to do that so y'all. This is straight and i'm going to put this up. Okay, i'm not trying to edit that part out, because i want you know this is strictly an amateur doing this and you're going to start out, like i say, part in your hair and you're, going to start out parting, your hair to the section you want to Start and you want to put the rest up and that's what the hair tie is for you want to put the rest up in a tie. This hair is how it looks. It comes already pre-sectioned and pre-fluffed, and you're gon na take one strand of the hair. Now this is how i'll do it. I split it in half and i go ahead and take those two sections and cut them in half. This will be the same size, i'll use over my entire head, because that's the length i prefer you can also, alternatively, leave them. You know long if you want longer twists, so i have these four sections ready to go. First, okay, to get started, you're going to take a little gel part off a section and there you go. This is the section that i will do. First with the quarter of the hair. I have from that first strand. I personally take and pull it out. Just a little bit on the ends, i will start by braiding it in first just a little ways down like this. I don't know if you all can see me good, but you know the three strand kind of uh plait great and once i get down a little bit and get the hair securely in, i take and split that in half and put it on each side, and I twist it i twist it down just take your time and twist it down, and if i can do it guys, you can do it. It may take you a little time, but you can do it. I remember when amber was growing up. I used to take my time and and some stuff i was good at some stuff. I just couldn't get you know and i learned how to do a lot of styles. You know i knew i always knew how to kind of comb her hair and everything kind of braid to her head and stuff, but a lot of styles and learned how to do braids. I would watch you know when i went to get our hair done. I would watch the ladies that did our hair and just mimic what they did and then i also you know, watch the youtube videos now this hair, you won't need to soak or anything unless you just want it curly at the ends. But you see this. I'Ve twisted it all the way down to the end, and i will snip off just a little bit and i snip off as i go. I don't wait till i get done and that's one. That'S one twist done: okay and you complete this process all over your head, so i'll do another one for you and the gel kind of just helps you. You know to hold it in place and, like i said you can, it will take more hair. If you do the longer ones, a one pack will probably do me good. So and like i said, i started out with the three trim three strand braiding down and then i taken split that my natural hair into two and start the two strand twist on down to the end and that's why it's best when you're doing your own? Not to leave too much hair out because you can easily, like you say i just caught a piece of that so and the young lady video like why she does actually two methods. I don't um like i said this is just the method i prefer. So i can't you know, really speak to the other method, but again i will leave her video down in the comments below. Let me go ahead and finish up and i'll come back when i'm closer to finishing beauty of doing your own hair. Is i'm a couple hours in and i got about 35 uh twisting so far, but i'm taking a break, so i can't stand up that whole time, but anyway um. I take a break here and there you may be able to stand up and finish a lot quicker than i can and my pardon is not the best, but you know i guess that's. Okay, too so, like i said, um just keep at it. Take your time and you can do it: okay, y'all! It'S been a long four and a half hours, but i did take a brief break. This is the last one though, here and i'll finish it up and if i'm not mistaken, it's a total of 72. In my hair, so you can judge. Of course you can always make yours smaller too. You know you don't have to go with the size that i have so like. I said you braid it down and what i didn't show y'all i do now. This is just a personal preference for me, because sometimes this hair can be a little bit um kinky. So as i twist, i take my thumbnail and kind of go down the hair. Sometimes, if it's fizzing a little kinky and i'll show you what that does at the end, it helps your twist to be a lot smoother and you don't have all the little stray hairs to kind of get out, um and cut off, because i generally don't cut You know straight hairs off of mine. You know you can't clip around them. There'S nothing wrong with that, because i will have some. As you can see it's a few here. I will have some you know if you you can and you feel up to it now. I do try to do better with my parting up at the top, but it's not the best. I don't part my hair well, but when i do other people's hair, you know i part a lot better, but i try not to too much hair anymore, because it's very hard on me to kind of do. Hair like i used to. I take a little gel after i'm done and just rub it and i mean just a little bit and just rub it and i didn't tell you at first, you will need some mousse and that's why i don't really cut mine. I just happen to have the got to be glued, because i think this is all they had in the store today but anyway, and take it and rub it that feels good on your head, rub it down and if you want to i generally, i don't have Very many of these left because normally when i take them out, i put them somewhere they're, so small that i take and put a couple of them of the clips on my hair and all you do is just kind of you know and i'll put a few Here and there on my hair - and you know you want to secure them so make sure that they're tight on, because you don't want to follow my falling off of course, and i put a few two or three on on my break when i have it. So that's it guys, like i said, i'm an amateur. I can't call her name, but i do have that video that i'm going to link. You know in the description for you, because you may, like her other method, a lot better than you know. The method that i showed you so it will um definitely it's an easy. Hairstyle i'll, probably have this one up for about six weeks, so it lasts. You just have to take care of it right, wrap it up at night. It'S how i care for it. A little bit more mousse at the back, oh and that's it guys, of course i wear it in different styles, as you know, you've seen it before, but that's the finished look and it took me like i said four and a half hours to do it, but I did take a moment break, it may take you, maybe a lot faster and guys i came just so. You can see the back of it. This is how much of the hair i had left. I used one and a half of the new pack and i used the rest of that little bit. I had in that old pack. So that's what you will need uh. So one pack will probably do you try it out if you like it, and i hope it works out for you, but that's it. Thanks have a good night bye!
