Kinky/Curly Afro Deva Cut Crochet Braids: Freetress Urban Soft Dread Hair

ɞღ♥♡❥❤*PLEASE READ THE DETAILS BELOW*❤❥♡♥ღɞ

Hi everyone. I decided to play around with super short crochet braids after removing my wig. I've really loved the kinky/ curly look. I later cut the hair some more and wore it kinda messy. I like the messier, shorter look better. I'm really loving the short curly 'fro and it looks pretty natural since the hair is kinda coarse. It also mimics a perm rod set with small rods.

Hi everyone, so today's video is going to be a tutorial on my crochet braids. I have my free tres, equal urban soft dread hair, and this is what it looks like when you take the curls apart. So I have about five packs in the color too, and I'm hoping I don't have to use all five, but this is the hair. The plan is to kind of grab each bouncy piece by the end. So that way, when I cut my hair, I don't you know, cut too much on one and too little on the other, pretty long it actually goes up. It goes down from here. It goes almost to my knee, really I'm not kidding and I'm five nine. Okay. So this is the hair I'm gon na cut this first, so I can be really difficult to cut this hair, but I don't think it matters too much for me because I'm going for something short and it might end up actually being shorter than what I'm doing. I'M just gon na install my hair and then kind of unravel it. So that way, when I remove the hair, I have bigger sections to remove as opposed to the little sections so before I put the hair in gon na make sure my latch hook is closed. Okay and I'm gon na start right here, go all the way through open the latch hook. This hair is so bouncy, okay, pull it through. Thank you our end. What I'm going to do is the middle part and I'm separating the hair. So that way, it can look a little bit more natural. What you'll do is you'll go in towards the midline or the part that you choose and latch the hair on pull through and secure it. That way, this will give you a more natural looking part. I do have a video that you can reference that really goes into detail on how to do this, but that's pretty much all you do just go through to the middle. Wherever your part is that's a direction you'll go in your hair, pull it through and then slide it through the opening. Alright, let's cut this hair, and that is pretty much it for now. If I think of something better I'll go ahead, and do that, I might add a little bit more hair in this general region, but uh yeah. What do you guys think? Let me know - and I will see you guys in the next video, where I'm going to talk about this hair and what to expect when you use it for crochet, braids or whatever you're going to use it for, because I think it's really important.

Damaris Roulette: Love love love the result! Frames your face beautifully!!

AR Chery: Love this!!! I was looking for something short and appropriate for my 5yr old and THIS will do nicely!! She natural so I could even make this look Sven more fro-like! Thank you!!!

Yvonne Friend-Fields: Love love love the curls. I used the same curl pattern but different brand for my first crotchet / latch hook install. I wanted a fuller look so I just used more hair. I love how forgiving this hair is. I did the cornrows and install myself after watching dozens and dozens of how to videos on YT. I love the fact that this hair is not heavy yet very full. I also love that I can care for my hair and scalp with ease. I liked your braid pattern and may try it in the future.

M.R. Howard: Thank you for this tutorial. I've been wanting to use the soft dear hair but didn't know how the curls would turn out because i didn't want to leave them in the Shirley temple style. Thanks for sharing!

MizizBundy: This was short and sweet. I love the results and would like to try this hair. Lovely!

sebhb38: I love this!!!!!!

Déjah King: I looove it! Love the curly look. This might be the one I use for the winter instead of the Marley braids. How long did you keep it in? How did you keep YOUR hair moisturized during that time? I'm thinking of using my water & oils spritz on my scalp but would that disturb the texture and curl of the hair? Please let me know. Thank you for the tutorial.

trashagal: I use a pack n a half...I had it in since June and it still neat..I love the hair!

ShellzBelle876: I love it and will be trying it for a fuction at work soon.

Tonya Pulliam: Gorgeous!

LaWinter: Looks so good!

Tracie Wallace: now that is a gorgeous look!

Kemi .A.: I leave my hook open as I go into my hair and close it on my way out. Don't mind me, I was installing this hair and was on to see what style I would end up with.

MistressPixie33: Cute, I never even heard of this type of synthetic hair.

Nina C: I think I found my new crochet hair thanks for the review:)  I have a few ?'s did this hair last a good six weeks, how did you prep the hair for sleep, how did you moisturize the hair. Thx!

Taliana Riettien: This is beautiful

Jennette Yallery: l love it!!!!!

QP Reads: How long did the install take? Also you wrote you used no product. Does that include on your base braids as well? Great video. Please keep them coming :)

DESEREE Young: Love your video. Just wished you would have shown your braid pattern since it sets the foundation for that awesome hair style you did. Saw this hair in my local hair beauty store and was NOT interested. But after seeing your video I am out to purchase it now. My daughter is 12 and she experienced some hair falling out this summer (breakage in the back of the head). She has always been a fan of braided bobs and now wants her hair to be open. Thank you so much for your video. I'm guessing in reference to the braid pattern you braided 2 braids back down the middle and the rest to the sides connecting them. Thank you again

MeMe: omggggggg.....love it!!!!! I just hate hair on my face.  I break out really easy when any type of hair touches my face :(

Jessica Hale-Tann: Very cute... if only I could braid my own hair....

Tamiou: Thank you so much!

Sunny D: its looks great on u. do u think if i got this hair wet it would hold the curl? u did a fantastic job

AwaWorldArt: It's beautiful !!

Tamara Netus: did you separate the hair before installing or after. thank you

stephanie love: I love your outcome. It would have been nice to have seen your braided hair pattern before you started. Also, it really wasn't clear how you did the top and front part. otherwise this is just the type of hair I'm looking for. If you get it wet (like swimming) do you know what happens to this hair ...will it frizz or tangle and will it have to be removed. Thanks for keeping your video simple and straight to the point without a lot of filler convo.

arvietta: REALLY CUTE

Sabrina Houston: I love your hair. Especially the way you cut and styled the hair. In taking good care of the hair besides sleeping in silk bonnet is there anything special you put on the hair?

Dee: Beautiful

Mojisola Shabi: Is there a way to see the braid pattern on your entire head? Particularly the back? Thanks.

Blackey The chihuahua: you are looking very very nice i like it

Felicia F: So I come in the beauty supply to buy some more Boheiman Braid hair (didn't buy enough the first time) and saw this hair and found your video. All I need to know is did you try washing/rinsing your hair while you had it in?? I'm sure due to texture your would want to disturb the curl but because it's a crochet style you should be able to get to your scalp. I workout and need to be able to put water on my scalp... HELP!!! I'm in the store now. Lol

Anita Ford: How many packs did you end up using?

Tiara Johnson: I like this

Be Jubilant: Hey...Im 5'9 too. Nice video.
