Hey my name is adam. I make natural hair videos on youtube and instagram and tik tok make sure you follow me to me. So i i dm'd you, i idmv okay. First, the first one instagram instagram, okay, after seeing her work, i wanted to get my hair. So pressed i saw her work, i fell in love, i had to dm her um and yeah. That'S that's how it kind of came about. She told me to come in for a hair evaluation for proud to see my hair. She was like. Oh, we have a lot of hair a lot to deal with um, so yeah we booked to do a collab in like november, but i went to ghana and then it just kept going push back push back we're in um august next year uh. But you know better late than never and i think we're going to make an amazing video. So let's go let's get into it. She'S got that ghanaian hair yeah that garnier hair. I don't know what you guys eat, but, oh, my god. Oh this is my hair. It looks so picky guys i used to relax my baby hairs. I don't advise that. Oh i used to do this yeah because it just makes it easier so much easier and when you want to do a ponytail, that's slick, my edges are full c. So if you know about that, you know what i do: um texture release now, instead of relaxer, it goes back to curly mm-hmm. This is the comb that you're using yeah, but don't you think that the closer is the more hair it drags out, because it's small because there's no but it's better, because the hair you're trying to get out is the dead hair. Oh, so that's why your hair ends if your hair gets naughty when you're washing it, because the dead hair is still in there. Yeah tips tips to do it, though sometimes your hair's, like sometimes their hair's better, when it's um, because some people, their hair, will detangle when it's wet yeah. That'S my hair yeah. Some hair is better when it's dry, you just don't know your hair. My hair is better wet and confusing what you're able to like. If it's dry, it will fight you until you put water on it. Yeah i have different textures in my hair, perimeter is 4c and the inside is like a 4b. I know people don't like hair typing, but i personally feel like it helps it helps you understand. It definitely helps it does. So what do you think? Your hair type is definitely 4c around the perimeter and 4b in the middle. If you want to stretch it then 4a, but okay, but you know you're not here typing is just your curl pattern. Yeah, it doesn't explain your actual hair yeah, it doesn't explain the porosity or anything. So do you know the other stuff yeah. I have low porosity hair okay, so what's that the one that drinks, water doesn't drip, water doesn't drink, doesn't it so you have to create an environment, yes for it to absorb, moisture and stuff yeah. So what do you do? What'S your routine, i like to steam? Okay, are you a girl, i'm a wig girl that that that we keep in for time, yeah? Oh you're, one of them. This is just came out of my formula. How long would the cornrows in oh boy, i'd like to know that information myself actually not too long before they think i'm dirty that's hair grows? Is that true, because i feel like my hair grows dirty? It'S not that it's dirty, it's just growing in its own oils, all the sebum yeah, it's grown in its own oils and you're, not touching it you're, not manipulating you're, not manipulating. Most people have long hair. It'S because they don't really do nothing. No. The thing is your garnier: let's, let's see what is that? What is this you guys have it doesn't matter what you're doing my hair wasn't always long in there? I was struggling shoulder length for years shoulder length shoulder. I can show you pictures, you know how many of us are still at: oh, that's, four inches or the garnier minimum. It showed that, but i was there for years. Do you still document your hair on youtube um, not on youtube a lot, but i would start i'll start you'll see i'll use this video to describe the video. Yes, i like that the camera's facing my face head on so yeah. So do you normally put treatments in your hair yeah? I do, but i make them myself like, as in from scratch, like oil phase water phase emulsifier, you said all your face. What is that so, when you're making conditioners there's two phases? Ah, you need to boil them up to the same point with the emulsifier in the oil face and you blend them together, and it literally creates a conditioner. And where did you learn this? I learned it from. I took some chemistry course: formulation for your hair yeah, oh wow, because i'm allergic to like a lot of products. Okay. So when i was growing my hair um, i bought all these store-bought products. Yeah wasn't helping me. My hair was not growing. It wasn't even breaking off. I said you know what let me try this like natural thing and start making things myself. So what are your allergies? Like? Hey? What i don't know. I mean even like shea moisture, the popular ones as i nothing was working. My scalp would be itchy. Okay, it'll be itchy if it's not like a raw organic oil. That'S interesting, yeah yeah, because some people are allergic to the natural stuff. Yeah i mean coconut oil makes my scalp very itchy and dry, oh really, costly. I love very well made mine, really aloe vera see mine is coconut oil and castor oil see everybody has their own thing. This is why i sometimes even follow in somebody's routine, routine yeah yeah. There'S a lot of that on youtube. I know you have to find what actually works for you. I heard now. The new one is the onion some onion thing. Oh my gosh i've seen that that's not happening dude. There was rice water yeah that face. I don't think that was good, because rice, water is just a lot of protein and if you're protein sensitive, your hair is going to break off making me angry. You know it's like we angry, but i've heard of the chippy powder and everything oh chubby. I'Ve got you know: i've had chubby in my house for like two: is it good? Two years? Sorry, oh tears, i keep saying i'm gon na try because a lot of clients ask me about these things because they see on youtube and i'm like. Okay. Let me try it first. I'Ve never tried it. It'S just been sitting in my cupboard. I don't blame you, but people swear by chebe they because they say that it. It originates from one village in the chat, yeah and their hair is, and i've seen their down to the floor thick healthy down to the floor. Yeah well think about it. They'Re not manipulating their hair, that much they're just they wake up, walk around hunt or something and go back to sleep. That'S it yeah. I don't think the women are coming in. It'S not racist to say that i don't think the women are hunting, though, but i know what you mean: they're, homemakers, yeah, so they're not they're, not doing instagram reels and all that they're just chilling and looking after their children exactly what a nice life you know. Honestly, sometimes that piece is what you need. Can you see the different textures come in? No, not yet not yet do you think your textures are different everywhere, though, because i'm just seeing to me it's one really at the moment. Okay, maybe you haven't got there yet. Also, i've got gloves on so i can't feel your texture. Yet, but later when i start even summer's like a bit smooth, something is rough yeah, it's possible. It happens a lot with afro hair. Sometimes the texture is just not consistent. Do you ever feel like? We need to treat different parts of your hair a bit differently. My hair is consistent. I'D say it's tough everywhere. Okay, my clients told me they do that. All the time so they'll use like they'll have different portions. Maybe the front is 3c or whatever. The back is 48 and they'll just be doing different things for different areas, so there are some products that you can use on it all over the head. So, for example, i tend to when i'm doing so press i tend to use all the plaques a lot, because i find it's the one brand that i can use on anyone's hair and it works so yeah. Even if you're white and you come to know you. Okay, because i know it's going to work in your hair, but it works on all types of afros: i'm not even trying to promote them because they ain't paying me to say this. But it's the truth like it's the one they should come on sponsor. They need to come and pay me, but um yeah, you got ta find products that you can use all over the head so that you're not having to spend so much money things or you just make them like you make them yourself, yeah. It'S even making my own products. I want to learn how to formulate champions, but i thought that's a bit unnecessary, but i still want to learn. It'S not unnecessary. I even feel like shampoo is probably one of the easiest things to formulate. I think conditioners are more difficult really because with shampoo you can use things like um custard. Is it what's that um castell soap? Oh, that's what i don't know. That'S that basically yeah it's rough on there, though i used the um, the baby one does it. It doesn't need that there's one that doesn't need that yeah, a lot of shampoos have that as a base yeah. Once you get the mixing of the moisturizing agents in right. It'S i don't think it'll be that hard to make a shampoo but conditioners you think about. In most companies, the shampoos are fine, it's the conditioners is the conditioner. Oils are easy to make. Oh yeah, my very sister has a haircare line. Actually yeah. Oh my gosh. Yes, i know them very well yeah. She started at uni by mixing oils, and then it got business partner. Now the brand is really it's really expanded, and now i really like them like, i follow a lot of what they do actually yeah. I was really inspired by because it seemed similar to like what what i did yeah and they're single, that's so cute. They always wear their afros out, so cute yeah they're, all about the natural i feel like if you have a natural hair care brand. I feel like you, should you got to represent your breath. You have to this is why i'm trying to wear my hair natural, but it's hard, though easier than that it's easier than very much so, and i think we've only just got to a stage in the uk where we're embracing natural hair for so long. It was when i was in school. Everybody had a relaxer. Of course. Can we go into the workplace with our natural hair without it looking unprofessional, yeah? Well, they exactly to them it's unprofessional. So then we just start feeling like we need to look professional, but what is professional? What is that? Look? I don't know. Let me not stop. Let me not start this conversation yeah man, sometimes, i feel confident with my natural hair, but i also feel like i like the switch up too, and it's nothing to do with how i look. I just want to have a ponytail, that's going down to my back and you know what's crazy, i feel, like i, like the middle part slick back, there's one go-to hairstyle with my actual hair, a little slip back. Who wants to be putting products on their hair? Every single day yeah it's long yeah and i like the fact a sleek look - is just different. Yes, if the dress yeah, sometimes the curly waves get with the outfit, and i think that's the benefit of us having africa, we can do that switch up, but society will tell you you're trying to be white you're trying to do this you're trying to look professional. Sometimes i'm not trying to be anything i just like the hairstyle exactly that is done. Finally, yeah, your curls are curly curl, curl yeah, your hair wants to be curly yeah. It doesn't actually want to be straight. No, it doesn't want to be straight we're forcing it by adding heat and doing all of that and you're straightening it once again like this and curl up again yeah yeah yeah, my clients that have that who don't really care about curls. They get like texture release because the texture releases it coats the hair and stops the freezer. It'S keratin based. Okay, it's like a keratin treatment. It is the texture. Release is actually keratin, but i think it's because it's branded on the texture of these people think it's different, but it's just keratin that's formulated for afro, hair, okay, it's not as harsh as what we know keratin to be. Do people say that their curls come back or do people have it does come back, it's supposed to come back. Let me say it's supposed to come back after four months, but it really depends on the state of your head before you get it done. So if you always straighten your hair and you get a texture, release, you're less likely to see your natural afro again, but you never straightened your hair or you don't really put heat in your hand, you get a texture release and you don't over. Do it with the maintenance in terms of heat within four months, you start to see your natural hair come back so with my hair in the state, do you think it would come back? Would you feel like it would i think you stayed straight. I think your hair would come back, but you might not get your exact afro back. That'S why it's going to take some people want their natural hair, but they just want it to be manageable. So it depends. If you do a texture release with heat, you won't get your your natural afro back, because it's it's released. Your texture, which is what it's supposed to do so yeah it's possible to do a texture release without straightening your hair and just have the effects of you, know your hair being easier to manage, rather than the texture itself changing completely. This is the last one. Oh wow done a great job. Thank you, yeah! Okay, so is that okay, that temperature? Okay? So so so you have to be careful with your hair because it because of the tangling the potential for for your hard detangling, it just tangles so so um. This is. I'M trying to twist it to stop it from doing that. Three! It'S okay, but twisty, because i wan na do your scalp and i don't need to map. Does your hair snap easily? Okay, i can't tell you it's like stretching in the yeah. Has it always been like that? Yes, okay, it's just almost like that was the worst. When i was relaxed. I can imagine because obviously relax eyes like yeah. The harshest thing you can do to your hair is a relaxer, so so so so so hmm, so so! Oh so so so uh, so heads up um um! So yes do so do oh wow. It looks so much healthier and fuller wow. Can you see oh wow? This is really nice. I felt like a woman. You are a woman. You

Temi Danso Art: Her hair is sooo beautiful! You did a great job

Dacia Drummond: Curly or straight, her hair is absolutely beautiful! I love how knowledgeable she is about natural hair care products to use to maintain healthier hair.

docinho: Você é uma excelente profissional , tem mãos de fada Meus parabéns !

Marlyn: I keep my hair short, but seeing your natural hair makes me want to grow my hair out and try different styles. Thanks for sharing!

CeCe X: Gorgeous client! Flawless makeup! Her hair texture, grade, and density reminds me of mine!

Carol Sander: Beautiful, young lady! You did an excellent job! Her hair is so beautiful!

Thai Sonkesak: I’ve got a Brazilian blow out, which really is the same thing as texture release. I love it tbh. Same curls but it really is easier to detangle and style. And I find that I don’t have breakage because I’m never ripping through my hair because my texture is smoother.

Adomiiee: I had an amazing time filming this video! The only person I trust with my hair!!

JeniWoo: She is gorgeous! Like a mix of Chloe Bailey and Naturi Naughton. And her hair is so beautiful! Thick and dark and perfectly coiled, real hair goals I loved the beautiful styling and great conversation. You always give the best shampoos, I hope I get to experience one someday.

Jessica: Paddle brush all the way! It makes it easier to get rid of all the knots and it only takes about 10 minutes

Heavy on the Chai: My left side is more textured, stands up, afro or 4C on my right side is smoother, looser, hanging 4B. After it dries it is harder to recognize. It has helped me in cutting or trimming to make both shapes the same.

Ashleigh B: The conversation throughout the beginning of this video is definitely on I enjoyed. The young lady mentioned a lot of things that I also have felt about my natural hair journey. From the switch up, to the what is professional hair conversation. The results are beautiful!

Ashley Ballesteros: omg i love when they do anything to my hair. and this video is so relaxing to watch

Corn Pop: I could watch your videos all day - so satisfying watching straighten hair!!

kassjazzy: Your videos have quickly become my favourite, just so relaxing :)

Devine Beaut: You should be excited. You are very talented and her hair is so beautiful. You didn't cause any damage, took your time. This treatment and professionalism is what we all have in mind when we go to any salon but most of our brothas and sistas get the complete opposite. And thank you for not talking while shampooing cause we really can't hear well when under that water.

Mindset In Bloom: Just beautiful!! What a lovely hairstyle to showcase your work and compliment the customer

Southern Gurlz: Thank you again !!!! I have fine, medium density, high porosity, extremely dry, extreme protein overload, breakage, 4c hair. No color or chemicals, I trim every 2 months, I do not use heat. I have lots of shrinkage. I have mechanical damaged from a brush, prior to Stylist using brush my hair was percent healthy. Should I use Olaplex? Thank you!!!

FRO OUT: Beautiful client with that healthy head of hair. This video had some good conversations. I just cling when I hear people say "dirt grows my hair". Thanks for clearing the air/educating the massive.

Tanya Petersen: The client has gorgeous hair and flawless skin..

Tawana Maria Parker: Beautiful! I enjoy watching your YouTube videos. Thank you for providing outstanding content!

Thefleming: Great job Jennifer! She is a such a pretty lady, and her hair is gorgeous. Love how the ladies sacrifice, and grow out their natural tresses. I have seen some really beautiful long natural hair. I end up big chopping mine every year or two, because the strands are fine with 2 to 3 textures. It grows back fast, but I don't want to cut it any more. It's tough, if you cannot find the right products for your hair type. TFS Jennifer.

Here for It: I don’t believe in the hair chart, but if we are going to use it, it should start with the coiliest hair as “A1” or “1A” and go down from there. After all, African peoples were the first people on earth. Ours is the first hair type. *Everything* starts with us.

Ms Ms: I loved the washing process so thorough, I love my scalp and hair to be washed thoroughly.

sherry phillips: Beautiful hair, Awesome curl pattern Olaplex is the Truth!!

Cara C.: Hey JC! Your work is amazing. Please keep showcasing real 4C hair in all its splendor! Amazing to see full blooded Black women with such beautiful & healthy hair.

Miesha Dejesus: Absolutely beautiful I have the same texture hair only patches on the perimeter is 4c rest of hair is 4B with some 4a. They never knew how to take care of my hair as a kid . I was was always laughed at and made fun until it grew out. Then they were all jealous

Michelle Rodgers: My favorites...I actually just recently got into Keratin, so Ive really been enjoying a brand called Nutree. I use their Hair Botox as my protein treatment a few times a year, I use their S&C when I straighten my hair and I use their hair growth spray nearly everyday my hair is in a protective style because it really does grow hair. I also really enjoy ColorWow products. I really enjoy African Pride and Garnier Fruictis products for "normal" wash days. I also really like Yadain Cultural Solutions shampoos and conditioners when I am prepping for a longer term protective style (like mini twists, knotless, passion twists). I pretty much only have ____ styles...mini twists, knotless box braids, passion twists, strawset (with flexirods, looks like finger coils)...I usually get my hair professionally straightened like 4 times a year. Thats pretty much my "forever" products.

Robin Harris: Absolutely beautiful and STUNNING!

AG: Beautiful people, Beautiful conversations, laughter, nothing but Love. Beautiful hair Jet black hair is magnificent.

gabbygabby386: You did it again Ms Cynthia! Beautiful!

Here for It: It is interesting that Jennifer Cynthia mentioned Olaplex and that it “works” and works on every kind of hair. I have not tried it. One, because I cannot see myself spending that kind of money on a few ounces of product. Two, my current methods and products are working and I am seeing the results I want to see. Otherwise, I would definitely try it. ❤️

bmw: I would be in that chair ASLEEP! This looks so relaxing, omg.

LadiBarb: You did an amazing my job!! I wish they bring back stylist like this!!‍ GORGEOUS

Sharon James: ""What a beautiful transformation ,you did that Jennifer Cynthia, her hair looks amazing ,, Westcoast Listening ""

Sarah Grace: I so badly want you to do my hair as well. I’m also a long 4c hair gal, based in the US. I would literally fly to the UK for you to do it. I’d love to set something up some day

Tommy Santa: cynthia as always you are a miracle worker. this girl is very pretty and that change has exalted her beauty.

Jonie: Absolutely beautiful ❤️❤️

Country Gal: What a gorgeous young lady with a beautiful head of hair!

Robin Cookie: So pretty looks healthy and shiny great video

meandmycamry: This is really beautiful. What did you spray in her hair before the blow dry?

Jaye Room: This stylist is the best that I have EVER seen. She is so patient and so knowledgeable. My hair is long but it’s thin. My hair is wavy but not tight and kinky. I would love for her to do my hair. What did you spray before the blow dry?

NIKKI Dupoux St Jean: I took want to use Olaplex shampoo but I just learned there are number, such as Olaplex 3 Olaplex 4, which Olaplex do you use on your clients. My daughter has the same hair type as this beautiful young lady with the gorgeous hair in this video, yet I have another daughter who I would say has 4a hair.

Devine Beaut: I cried when she said that she feels like a woman. Thank you for saying that she is a woman. It breaks my heart that black women and black men have strands that are so beautiful, it could be considered art. But when we wear it in our most natural stage (like a fro) we are asked questions like, so what are you going to do to your hair or when are you going to comb it or get it done? People think it's and we are most beautiful when it's straightened but I disagree. It takes so much pride to even wear a fro. I wish they knew but I wear mines because I know. ❤

Rita Clarke-Evans: Beautiful your work is amazing

🧁 Curls n Cupcakes: Yes, Ghanian beauties are true hair Goddesses. ✨

Life of Trina J: What is the purple spray used before blow drying ?

Toni Broome: You Did That

Khulania Frost: They wake up, walk around, hunt and go to sleep. You sound like my parents describing me in my teen years.

Heather Yearwood: She is a doll baby. A real live doll baby ...

Eliza Bowers: after all of that I just put my hair in a twist and let it naturally wave up, I don't want to torture it lol

Frobie: Gorgeous.

marie brii: Amazing results. Absolutely amazing. Chef kiss
