Hey guys welcome back to my channel and if you are new here, what is up, I am Alana Simone y'all see we got the hair blown out for today. I I am going to be attempting to do some passion twists to my hair and if y'all didn't know this about me, I do not like doing twists braids any kind of style. That'S going to take longer than six hours to my own head. I will always pay someone to do this for me because it is just so so time consuming, but I did have a not so great experience the last time that I got my hair done. So I was like um trying to just hold off for a little bit, so I got boho passion twist done in my hair a while ago, and it was just terrible experience. The lady was extremely rude. All of her tools, weren't really clean, especially the edges brush. It was like all cakey and, like you could just tell she never cleaned that edges brush and when I told her I didn't want her to do my edges, because, obviously I see the brush you ain't, putting that in my hair right. She she cut a little attitude with me. So, needless to say, I was like I'm not I'm not trying to deal. You know what I'm saying so, I'm just gon na do it myself. I know that I probably we will be able to how it's going to look to be determined, so I just came back from the hair store. I bought like 10 packs of hair and I got two different textures of hair because here's my plan right. Here'S my plan, so I like the passion to his hair, the water wave hair. It'S really pretty it's nice, it's curly, but for me I mean my hair is not naturally shiny, like this hair, so I did get some kinky hair as well. I think it's called Cuban twist hair and I'm planning on mixing these two textures to kind of get it to resemble my hair a little bit better. That is the plan. That'S the plan. It all makes sense up here. It does so I'm gon na go ahead and get started. So what are we going to be using for this style? I have my comb for parting. I don't have the one with the metal tail should I have gotten that one it's too late now, so I have my comb. I have my crochet needle because I'm going to be doing the crochet method, but I won't be doing it with rubber bands. I'M going to just do a braiding type of situation, um and then I have my shine and jam also before we jump in don't forget to subscribe. If you have not already - and let's jump in I'm not even gon na stress about whether the parts are straight or not because at the end of the day it's the back and you're, really not gon na see it anyway. So this is the first first little section here and then real quick, I'm going to show you the two textures that I will be mixing. So the first one is the Cuban twist mojito twist braiding hair. I feel like this more than anything resembles my hair. A little bit better than the passion twist hair, but I do want it to have some shine, so that's why I am going to mix it with the water wave hair parting. I don't really know how small I want them. I think this is good. I think this is good. Okay, so we're gon na just pin the rest of this back the Cuban Swiss table. This is kind of rough okay. This is what we wanted. I need scissors to cut this or I could just cut the top off call. It Amber Rose, oh okay, a water wave hair. You guys can see it has more of a curl, and then this is the Cuban twist hair. So I'm gon na go ahead and just do my braid first in my hair and I'm adding a little bit of the shine and jam to the situation. And then I'm gon na take out the little nape area here, because I hate when they be trying to twist this up with the rest of the hair, be pulling it's all tight. Okay. So what I'm gon na do is just do a regular braid. I'M going to make sure that the braid is pretty tart, not too too tight, but tight enough to wear it's nice and secure all right, oh and then I'm gon na stop right about here and I'm gon na just cut the bottom just like that. Just to make sure that you know everything's gon na look, look nice and even I'm gon na twist. It together in the middle like this, because that's where you're going to um catch the hair to the crochet needle and what I'm going to do. I'M going to crochet the needle through my braid right, I'm going to catch the hair all right, so that's not going to work okay, so we're gon na have to do it. One texture at a time because that didn't work. Okay, okay, hang on hang on! Hang on, I'm sweating is hot. We'Re gon na try it again. So we're gon na push this through we're going to catch the hair right and then pull it through: okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, we got it and then we just pull one side out. Okay, come on now all right, so we pulled one side out now what all right and then we're gon na do the other texture and do the same thing, because obviously it's too much hair to do all of it together. Y'All are watching me struggle. Okay, close it and pull it through. What'S up pull it through? What'S up come on now, right? Ah, okay, all right now we got ta twist it now we got ta twist it come on y'all we're gon na take out the braid just a little bit. Nothing too crazy right and then we're gon na split our hair in half right like so, and then we're going to mesh everything together like this and then we're gon na start twisting we're gon na just start twisting and everything's gon na blend together and it's gon Na be great y'all, I am so nervous. How is this gon na come out? Oh God? Oh God, all right all right! All right! We'Re not gon na worry about it. We'Re just gon na start twisting we're just gon na start twisting and we're gon na continue and we're gon na just keep swimming and I'm adding some more Jam as I twist down as I keep going okay well, this is the first twist y'all we we did It, how long did that one twist take first twist down, I'm already tired, I think so far, not doing too bad, and what I do is I kind of just separate it like that, just to kind of give it more of a little. You know get a little more volume, so it doesn't look so formed and defined, and then I put my hand up on your hip when you dip, I dip, we dip, you put your hay light Nails, close it and pull it boom and make sure everything is Even before you start twisting and then I just start twisting y'all, I really should have had this energy before I went to Jamaica when I tell y'all never again with the natural hair on vacation it it's cute, it was cute in theory, it was a cute idea. I think the pictures came out really nice. You know what I'm saying, but it's just. It was just a lot to have to deal with your hair on vacation. You know what I mean so, the next time I'm going somewhere. We definitely we throwing in some braids and some twists. We doing something four twists down. We about to just keep it pushing, keep it moving. It is y'all real, real, bold of me to assume that these parts are straight back here. That is quite bold of me. All right guys, so we are like one fifth, maybe one. Fourth, one-fifth of the way done. I decided that I'm going to start changing up my method just a little bit, so I was really trying to not do the Rubber Band Method, but I think that I'm going to start with the rubber band method. Just because I don't know if you guys can tell what's happening, you guys probably can't see it, but you can see a little bit of the braid at the top of the Twist, and I definitely don't want to see that at the top of my hair. So um, I'm going to, like, I said, start doing the Rubber Band Method. It'S kind of the same thing. Instead of doing the braid at the root, I'm just going to take a tiny, a tiny, rubber band and just bend the root because I feel like that. Might be a better method for me, I know that different things work for different people, but I'm just gon na take my rubber bands and wrap it around and I'm not gon na. Do it too too, tight um. I know you guys can see. It looks pretty loose now, but I'm gon na pull it just a little bit. So it's not super super tight at the root. It still has some wiggle room there. Whoever invented this crochet method is actually genius because for somebody like me and I'm sure a lot of you all out there, I'm not. I don't know how to do the twists, like just start doing it to my roots, um, I'm not that skilled when it comes to doing these, so this is kind of like a little cheat. If you will, you know to kind of get the same, look without having to you know, start from the root of your hair. Before I start doing my twists, I make sure that I have an even amount of both types of hair right in both, and I also want to make sure that my hair is dispersed evenly to both sides as well. I think the same way every time. I know that the passion twist hair can be kind of tricky when it comes to twisting, because if you twist it the, I guess, the wrong way. The twist can kind of look a little jumbled, but I mean I've been twisting the same way, the whole time and it's been fun. It has been fine. I really do like how it looks mixing the two types of hair because, like I said my hair is not super shiny, like the water wave hair, so I think it's a nice balance. I want to say I started at 11., we've been working for an hour already - oh my God, I'm gon na be here all day. Oh gosh! Okay. I don't know if anybody else thinks about this, but I have been to the gym like four days this week and I purposely did not do arms at all at the gym, because I knew that I was doing this today. I was like I'm not trying to add any additional stress to my arms because they're about to get enough work in with this one day. I also like the fact that these twists are not super heavy. I don't feel like I'm going to be breaking my neck towards the end. When I'm done and y'all know, I do not like my sideburns in the twist pull those out what it is that I'm doing here, because it's up in the front we close her down. We pull her through two piece to choose. You know what I'm saying: pull it through. I'M not gon na lie to y'all. My arms are already starting, but we really. We can't even think about that right now we got to just push through because we ain't even halfway done yet. I need y'all to just just hold on just hang on a second and make sure everything is. Even you know. Okay, I got some beads at the beauty supply store, so I'm gon na try and put some of these on okay, yeah yeah. We did it do you know why? Because I put beads on the twist that I did for Mexico and I just thought it was so flipping cute now, what does my focus face? Look like I am like really really trying here. I might have to use my crochet thing to pull the hair through. Look at me not me, being Innovative. Oh, what's up thought she wasn't gon na get through come on now. Okay, oh, this is cute. Y'All want to hear my Horror Story when I got my hair done the last time. I got my hair Twisted a couple of weeks ago and I found this lady on Instagram because I looked at her work and I was like okay, so she can do what it is that I'm that I'm looking for so my appointment was at nine o'clock. Am I always try to get the first appointment because I want to just get in and get out, and so I get there at 8 45. I get there 15 minutes early and when I pull up, the lights are completely off in the shop and I'm like. Okay - well, maybe she's gon na get here right at nine, like maybe it's not open yet cool, I'm early. So I'm sitting in my car I'm waiting and nine o'clock comes. 9. 10 comes, don't see her, so I call her because obviously I have the number and I call her and I'm like hey. You know I just wanted to make sure you know we're still on for nine, because it's past nine and you're, not here she's, like oh yeah yeah yeah like I had just stopped real quick to get something to eat, and I was like okay well I'm here. You know so whenever you get here and she's like yeah I'll, be there soon she pulls up at 9 30.. She pulls up at 9 30. and me everyone who knows me knows I am a punctual person. I am always on time, if not early, like I hate being late, so I'm already in a little mood right now, because it's 9 30, my appointment, was at nine. If you knew you weren't going to be here at nine, it should have been on you to reach out to me to say: hey, I'm running 30 minutes later. Whatever the case is, I had to call you so I'm already like um, so 9 30, whatever she strolls in with her McDonald's, and she has like a full-on attitude because I guess they messed up her order at McDonald's, and so I'm like. Okay, all right. So she about to take this out on my hair, because it's looking like she about to do my hair, real aggressive. So I have a seat. I give her the hair and she opens up all the packs and she's putting it on that little whatever that little board thing that they hooked the hair on so she's doing that. But she puts her coffee like right next to where she's setting up hair on the same little table and I'm like. Okay, it's a little close to the hair. She might. She might knock that over. So as she's putting on the hair, I watched it out of my peripheral. I saw her elbow knock over the coffee onto my hair that she was about to you, know use so I'm like okay she's like gosh, and she you know, brings it up and she runs to go. Get like napkins and she's like trying to Pat it down and I'm like all right, so she's still gon na use this hair, even though it's sticky with coffee on it. So that happens, then she he starts doing my hair and after she finishes with the first twist I'm trying to like turn around and look in the mirror to see it and she's like. Oh you, one of those you got to keep turning around to look yeah, because I want to make sure you're doing what I'm asking you to do. Y'All already know, I had a situation like that before I went to Mexico and I had to end up taking my hair out because she didn't show me as she was going and when she was done. I didn't like it. So I was like yeah we're not doing that again, so I do want to see what you're doing. Yes, I do, and so I was like yeah. I just want to make sure that I, like the size of the twist, that you're doing and she's like. Oh okay, so she finished my hair and obviously it came out the way that I wanted it and when she got to the end, I could see that she was about to take up her dirty edges, brush that she obviously has not cleaned. Ever. When I tell y'all this edges, brush was so Caked Up with product, it had other people's hair in it. It was like super stiff and she was going to use that to do my edges, and I was like oh foreign. What we're not doing is that so, rather than getting into it about the cleanliness of her tools, I just told her: like don't worry about the edges, you know you don't have to do the edges, it's fine like I'm, not going anywhere, I'm going home and she Was like? Oh, it looks real raggedy though you should just let me do them and I was like. No, I'm fine don't worry about it and she was like oh well. I was gon na take a picture of your hair, but if you don't want me to do your edges, then you could just pay me and go gladly. So I paid home girl - and I left I was just like this - is terrible, and so of course I go on Google just to just to Google her just to see what everyone else had to say about her, which I probably should have done before. I had her do my hair, but I just wasn't really thinking about that. Do you all know that everybody had something negative to say about their experience with her, so I literally left her place and I was like yeah it's gon na be a while before I sit in someone else's chair to get braids or twists again, because that was Just awful I was like for all that I could have just done my own hair. For me it wasn't even worth it like it like. It was terrible, a terrible experience experience I didn't feel comfortable. I wanted to leave, but I couldn't because I needed my hair done so it's like and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had an experience like that with some of these braiders out here I just don't understand, but any whoms. That'S why we're here doing our own hair? I'M curious, though, have any of y'all had an experience, a bad experience like that with a hair stylist because, like I said I know, I'm not the only one. Oh all, right y'all. I think it's been what five hours four or five hours, but we're almost done. We just have this section left. I ain't doing this Nomo. This is the last time because I um now I see why I pay people to do this because y'all I tell you my arms, my back everything is just on fire. Well, I think, coming out all right. I have been putting little accessories on certain twists just to do it as I go. I think this little combination has been my favorite. So far, I've been mixing the gold and burgundy together and it has been a Luke. So I'm going to show you guys how I do that, so it's literally, I just take the two pieces of string and just go back and forth with it. As I was twisting my hair, I had another thought, I'm like because I'm doing my own hair, I can control, obviously how tight I want the twist to be so since these are more passion twists and I feel like they're supposed to give more of a natural Feel I don't mind how frizzy they get. I don't mind how frizzy they look now they don't look super super neat and super defined, which is the look that I was going for, but because I'm doing them myself, I can do them as tight as I want or as Loose as I want. I know that I'm doing them probably a little bit looser than a lot of people, but that's fine with me, because I don't want a lot of tension on my scalp, because that's not why I'm doing this hairstyle, I'm not doing it for it to last. For six months and be super tight at the roots, I'm just doing it to not have to do my hair for the next week and a half two weeks. So thank you, foreign yeah. I can't even eye candy. I really I don't know how y'all do this. This literally It's Five O'Clock y'all It's Five O'Clock. We started at 11., all right, everything's, fine, guys everything is fine. I have four more, I have four more and then I'm done four more than a minute. Okay, all right come on. Let'S knock it out, knock her out knock her out. I sectioned off the ponytails beforehand. Just so I could see how many more I have left. I literally spent my entire day doing my hair. It'S crazy! It'S wild! It'S wild! Can'T get this time back. No ma'am! Eight hours eight hours, I basically worked a full day shift. We only have four more like it's. Not even it's not even gon na be bad. It'S gon na be so quick. I won't. I won't even notice, that's the thing you know. What'S even more crazy is that I was thinking about doing the twist smaller than I did them. I would have been here until next week. We are working on the last piece now, oh, my goodness, y'all see my energy level has drastically drastically dropped. Okay, all right! We'Re done we are done. We are finished. Oh my gosh, okay, oh my God. My homegirl just asked. If I want to go out tonight, should I do it y'all, you know what we gon na. Do it we gon na? Do it yup, I'm gon na? Do it because you know what why not we're young and hip and we should be able to do our hair and go out in the same day like why we can't do that. I'M gon na go get ready. I'M gon na slick an edge, I'm gon na. Do some makeup and I'm gon na come back because I think I really and truly think I ate this hairstyle it's hard for me to appreciate it right now, because I'm so tired. What am I gon na wear tonight? Is it supposed to rain cause? I never knew a level like this before never never knew who sings that song again, I want to hear it. I ended up unraveling some of the twists and taking out some of the water wave hair just to give it more of that boho. Look, I'm sure. It'S gon na start knotting together in about two seconds because it is synthetic hair, but overall I think the hairstyle came out really cute. I I don't know like I said how often I will be doing this just because it did take so long to do the only I guess, annoying part about this hairstyle is that you can kind of see the rubber bands. I don't know if you guys can tell from it's not a huge deal: it's not the end of the world. They are black. So from afar, you can't really tell I love the fact that I added the beads, because I feel like it just adds a little bit more of a boho. Look. You know to the hairstyle and what's nice about these twists. Is that the older that they get? It doesn't look raggedy. You know what I mean, because it's kind of how it's supposed to look the older it gets the better. It looks in my opinion, so I'm gon na back up, so I can show you guys how long they are, and hopefully I can get all of them in in the shop, but they are about here they stop about here. I think I did a pretty good job for my first time. I'M not gon na lie, I'm mixing the two textures together. I think it gave it a really nice look and I think it gave it more of a natural feel, as opposed to like I said just using the one um, the one texture, to give it like that shiny, really, shiny, look, but that is it for this. Video, thank you all so much for tuning. In again I am Alana Simone and I will see you guys next time. Foreign

indicakitty: "I can cut the top off and call it amber rose" I'm dead when I twist my hair I actually twist my natural hair. I use the fake hair and tuck my twist into the hair. That way over time when the twists get bigger my hair is completely protected and not exposes. Completely a protective style

candigyrl_82: You did a great job!! I want to try this style!! Thanks for sharing! ❤❤

tlcarter77: I love how all of your "attempts" result in pure perfection! ❤️❤️❤️

Ty. W: Literally your video came in such an amazing time . My hair lady was so unprofessional and so I decided I need to set boundaries and not move forward with her … it was hard cause I’m feeling desperately upset !. I have a trip to go to and I’m thinking maybe I should just do it myself as I’m tired of the struggle of finding a professional hair stylist . Your video inspired me so much! Thank you! And woah you did amazingly you made it look so easy!

Kisha Nicholls: This tutorial had me so ready to get some hair...I want this look I just don't wanna trust someone else to do it. Loved the finish ❤️ so worth the work x

Renee Mosley: You did great!!! Looks amazing!!!

Rae J: I love this you were so care-free about the parts and not focused on the perfection of the style. I will try this but make it a 2 day process i’m too lazy

MJ: I love your hair! It turned out really nice! By the way, you are gorgeous ❤

D W: Great job! It turned out beautifully.

Sweetmamarms: I’m loving the style time consuming but it came out pretty, you’re so gorgeous makeup looks amazing

Tempest21: Hey girlllllll, you did amazing and sorry you had that experience ugh I hate bad service.

Iyatash Hartley: You, your personality, your way of expressing yourself is a whole vybe! i like your videos . Good job girl! Gave me the drive to go do my own head , you kept cheering on yourself and we all had faith in you ! lol

CrazyNaturalPrincess: Love it! ❤️

Shelbee Marie: OMG!!! I am so sorry about your experience. As a cosmetologist hearing these stories makes me so upset!! I do multiple services. And.....shampoo comes with everything. I do NOT have my clients come shampooed. Even my braid clients.....UGH!!! I hate that!!! Not only do I braid but I color, silk press, teach my clients how to take care of their hair at home. I teach product knowledge. I'm actually my state board test away from being an instructor. When I was student teaching I made sure to teach them about customer service. This makes me so freaking mad!!!

Donna Mcknight: It looks Beautiful!!!!

Tay9sdaughter: You did an awesome job.

Huntress Yalena: I've known people to just mix their natural hair with the twisting hair but braid first (to make look like it goes more just split your hair into 3 put the twist hair under your middle strand and your index and middle finger should be holding the twist hair braid down then twist as normal) twist when you feel like you braid enough And my only bad experience i kept hair in for like a week and half because the lady braided so tight that between the braids my scalp was red and i guess swollen looking, itchy because its like air directly to scalp and i have high porosity hair so fast drying she didn't get my edges in there luckily but i didn't realize how tight they were it was my first time but i found other braiders since then and they were amazing and not so harsh with my scalp

Phyllis Davenport: Beautiful

iPikastars: I was JUST thinking of doing a style like this, sept with color since my natural hair is currently split pink and purple.

Magí Moonstone: I love them sis!!! How many packs did you use?

Jen C: Great turn out girl! My arms, shoulders and back were hurting just looking at you do it! Now I would like to get my hair done...I have NEVER had my hair done in any braid styles. If I did I would have to sit to do my own. I do not trust anyone else to do it as well. I had bad experiences in the past. Alana is the hair itchy? Does the hair make you hot? So do I but crochet hair to do boho twists? Because I had itchy extensions many times and it made it hard to enjoy. I would hate to start my hairstyle and then it starts to itch. Trying to think of a style now to do on myself (Im no pro either) for Disney World soon. I do not want to deal with the time it takes to comb and style natural hair on vacation. I too like the styles to be easy. Blessings~

Starroze aka Kawaiicutiebaby: It came out so good and that hairdresser is out of order

Donna Mcknight: Lady you are so brave. I have never had braids, wigs or weave. I would only want the braids and I would love to do it myself but I'm so nervous, lol!

Holla At The KI D: Stephanie Mills is the singer of the song you wanted to hear.

Holla At The KI D: I’m watching you tell your story and you said it was 9:30 when she got there how about it’s 9:30 when I’m watching this?! I gotta go to work at 10 am. Sigh!!! Thank God I work from home….

Patricia Taylor: My biased opinion-Us Capricorns are the most beautiful people

Tay Bagley: Lol you were singing Stephanie Mills

Sandy B: Ok Bohemian Queen, you better slay!! The singer is Stephanie Mills.

Healing With J: Hey beautiful, Just wanted to let you know as being the true Jews/ Hebrews or in other words Israelites there are laws on this earth that we have to keep. The reason why we into slavery and still on the land of our captivity where our ancestors were raped, beaten and murdered on this land is because we disobeyed Gods commands as his people and followed after the ways of the other nations. He is only the God of the Hebrews. 2 Samuel 7:23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?” Joel 2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. And I am required to let you know that wearing dyed hair/synthetic hair/or real weave hair is following after the heathens customs. I used to wear that type of hair too but once I found out it broke one of Gods commandments I had to let it go. Our hair is gorgeous naturally (as you know since your hair is so healthy and bomb) in how God made it. And sis I did some research and a lot of times the synthetic hair is doused in chemicals, our hair is an extension of our nervous system and our glory so those chemicals actually are seeping into brain and body, and our people are number one people leading in many health issues. As far as the real human hair goes it’s sacrificed unto idols or fake Gods and they do it in the spirit of cutting their hair to get rid of bad energy and then we go and put someone else’s DNA onto our head with that spirit on it. It’s a set up Sis from the enemy. Jeremiah 10:2 KJV Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them Also wanted to say I’ve learned so much from your videos, thank you so much! Again just wanted to reach out to you and let you know sis! Much love.

Alexis Craig: Hey girl hey
