How to braid short hair? Unless you have a pixie haircut or super layered hair, you can pull off mostly anything! :)

My trick for this and many other hairstyles, is to simply tuck in the ends of the braid and pin them in place with bobby pins. It will look more elegant than leaving the shorter peaces down. Another upside is that nobody is really going to be able to tell what your hair length is ;)

( upbeat music, ), Hi guys and welcome to another hair tutorial. Today I want to show you this Laced braids into French Fishtail braid updo, because it's been requested after I posted it on Instagram. Feel feel free to leave me any comments or suggestions as to what You'D like to see next week. Now, let's begin., Start off by sectioning a little hair close to your parting and divide that into three equal strands.. Let'S say the strand closest to your face is number one. The middle one is number two and the one for this back is number three. Start braiding a normal braid by crossing strand number one over into the middle. Then number three over into the middle, then add a piece of hair from your hairline to strand number two and cross it over into the middle. You'll continue to braid, like you were braiding a French braid, but instead of adding hair from both sides, you're only going To be adding hair into the braid from your hairline and not from the back. ( guitar strumming ), Once you've added your final piece of hair right above your ear, continue to braid a normal three strand, braid all the way down and tie it up with an Elastic. ( guitar strumming ), Now repeat the exact same process on the other side. ( guitar strumming ), Once you finish, braiding both braids gather them in the back of your head and tie them off with an elastic. And remove any unnecessary ones.. Next you're going to pick up a slightly wider section of hair underneath the braid and divide it into two pieces. ( guitar strumming ) Take a small section of hair from the left side and cross it over to the right. Side. Now take a small section from the right side and cross it over to the left. Side. Again take a small section from the left side cross it over to the right side, but now we're going to incorporate new hair into the braid.. So pick up a new section from the left and cross it over to the right. Side. Now take a small section from the right side cross it over to the left side and pick up a new section from the right side and also cross it over to the left, side. ( guitar strumming ). By incorporating new hair into the braid. We are doing a French Fishtail braid. Continue repeating these steps until you get all the way down and there is no more hair to add from any side. ( guitar strumming ). Once you get down braid a normal Fishtail braid all the way down and tie it off with an elastic.. Now, if your hair is long, I would recommend you leave it at that., Just pull out the braid, so it appears fuller.. However, if your hair is shorter, like mine, you might find it more flattering to tuck the braid under and pinning it in place with bobby pins. ( guitar strumming ), To finish it off, pull the braid apart as much as you like., And this is the finished Look., I hope you like it., Don't forget to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to. Pooja Anna Abraham: I finally understand what lace braid meansThankyou!

Sara Jane Pohlman: Your hair is so shiny and beautiful! How do you keep it healthy?

Lillian Jasso: beautiful

Daveonarave: Regal and radiant! :)

Kelly: This one is beautiful.. I don't understand how people on YouTube section cross over then add hair. I section add hair then cross over. Maybe because I cornrow hair. Idk I think it is simpler to add the hair prior to moving it into the braid, rather than leaving the piece behind it seems like creating a whole other step. I see many of you doing it though.
