Slick Bun Tutorial On Short Natural Hair

I know y'all want to see more natural hair videos for me, but y'all. I am not the best at maintaining my natural hair honey, but we're trying this video was very requested. You guys were like. Can you show us how to put our hair in this bag, but coming at y'all with that today? I know that it's really hard, sometimes when you have short curly hair, to put your hair in a ponytail, because there's so many like layers and curl patterns in your hair, some might be harder than others to stretch out. I'M going to show you guys my method of putting my hair and you know a little cute, tiny one, because you know when you have short hair, it's not about how much hair is in the bun. It'S about your edges. That'S really the most important part of the bun. As long as your edges look nice and clean, and you know you look nice and fresh fresh face fresh bun, it doesn't matter and when you have the butt in your head, you can do different things. Like add bundles, you know so you have a ponytail, add a braid. You can do different stuff, so the best way for me to get my hair in the button is to get it first off the shower. I like to do that because it's the easiest to maintain. Yes, you can do it when your hair is damp and, yes, you can use a spray bottle towards your hair, but if you have short hair like me, it's easier to do one as well - and i know some girls do um blow dry, their hair and flat. Ironing to get into a bun because their hair is so short and i don't want to put a lot of heat on my hair. So i don't do that method. I do a while as wet so i'm going to take this rat tail comb and i'm going to comb through my hair and really comb through, like the middle and the back, because that is the really the thickest parts of my hair and when it goes in The ponytail, you really want to try to get it as less bumpy as you can. Yes, we have short hair, so it's not going to come out as smooth as you would like it, but we're trying to get it the sleekest to where it can be, and i do the bottom first because the bottom is always like the most um bumpiest. When i actually put it in the ponytail, so i'm trying to get the bottom to be smoothed out as much as possible. That'S important to do the comb that really gets every part of the hair. Now our hair is all combed down. Y'All see my little inches. Don'T tell me, but now our hair is all combed out, so i'm going to take some eco styling gel. I have the big bucket, i'm going to put it all around my hair before i use this brush to actually brush it down to the ponytail. If you got long nails, you know you got to put the gel on the nail we're going to do the edges later so sweep the edges back, i'm taking this bristle brush and i'm going to start actually trying to get it smooth to put in the ponytail. Now i'm going to take my hair tie and i'm going to tie it, i put it in a hair tie as you can see, it's not sleek. It looks bumpy. This is what i just like one of the steps i do to make it look better. I'M going to put more gel, and now i can see where the bumps are gon na be at and if you're like me, and your hair sucks up moisture because of your texture of your hair, you wan na keep your hair moisturized. So it's easier for you to work with and then you wan na brush again on the ponytail. You see how i have like the bumps right here, i'm taking the comb and i'm brushing that okay and on the back, i'm doing the same thing. I take the hair tie out and now this time when i put it in the ponytail, it should look like how i want it to look, because i fixed my errors from the last time and make sure when you're combing in the back you're scooping the hair. In the ponytail, so it's not hard for you to grip and it's easier. I see bumps on the side here, i'm taking it. So i have a nice tight grip. So now i'm just taking some more gel y'all, probably like girl. How much jug do you need but listen, honey? My hair is short, so if i don't put gel on it and i lay down or something you're gon na see, all the layers of the short hair fly up and i'm gon na have to redo the butt again, and we don't want that guys. We don't want that so now you guys could see the sleekness yes ma'am, she's sleek she's, here she's, not playing with anybody, i'm taking the brush and i'm taking it from this way, and i'm just going like this to smooth it out. So now i'm taking some got to be glued hairspray and i'm going to put it right here, because this is where the hair sticks up at because there's shorter hair right here. So i'm just going to take the spray and from afar and then take your hands and just smooth it back, and that will give you the hold you need to where the hair doesn't stick up throughout your day and you can do stuff without worrying about your Little hair is coming out with hair ties that hairstyle i use from dollar tree and it's really thin. It'S not thick ones. If these are the thick ones. Okay, when i had long hair, i didn't use any hair just like this, but i have short hair now. So now i have to use the thin hair ties. These aren't really considered thin hair ties because the elastic in them is thick. The thin hair ties have no elastic these break so fast, and with these you can't do them over and over and over again without them breaking the thin one. In my hair, with no elastic, you can do them over and over again and giving me the hole that i need with the hair. So now we're gon na fix this one, so we're taking the spray just to get it wet and i'm wetting my hand. Instead of the hair, because i don't need a lot of water on the hair, i'm gon na put some gel on the top of the hair like this. I'M gon na brush the bottom see and i'm done i'm playing, but now i'm taking that and i'm just gon na fold it under and then take this hair tie the ones i don't use, i'm just taking this hair tie and i'm gon na just tie the Folded, hair and boom y'all. You got your butt, it is cute, so now we're going to my favorite part, and it is the edges okay, so my edges are done, but the cutest part of the bun is this little scoop right here that i love doing so. I'M going to just take my brush, take some gel and do this. You could do a little curl, but i like the little spook because i have long sideburns and it took me a long time to embrace them. But i was like whatever i can't help it. So yeah i'm done with my bun. As you can see, it's cute, it's sleek! It'S fresh. I put some lashes on and some lip gloss because you know what this look. That'S all you really need. You only need to do too much. You can go and write.
