Sock Bun Hair Tutorial! For Short Hair As Well As Long!

Hey YouTube. Alright, this is a video tutorial on how to do sock, running and the result of it. This is currently the result of it, which I prefer to sort of normal, big curls. It'S kind of you know it's messy. It'S you know a little bit fun. It'S a bit: Oh tea. Tea, which is kinda, look like known for spikes, are going out to a rocker party. Fancy dress type thing, which is meaning that I can whack out all mild stuff from my goth emo days, which is a little bit weird because I never thought I'd wear them again, but you know lace, crop top, ripped, skinny jeans and combat boots. I'M not gon na complain, alright um yet keep watching. I will warn you now. This look takes about three hours. I'M not gon na lie because it got ta, let your hair set. So, if you're not up for something that'll, take you a long time, don't bother, but if you've got the time, if you're, how much if your home or afternoon like I am you might as well, give it a go because it only takes like, however, Lots do I mean this is after three hours and yeah. That'S quite impressive, really so keep watching, and I hope you enjoy right. So, as you can see, I've just gotten out shower and, as you can see, I'm also talking quite loudly. This is cause then my flatmates are in so I can be normal for once sort of probably right um. This look better i'll, starting with wet hair. As you can see, I said I took out the shower, so my hair is completely soaking wet right now. First off you want to towel dry it. I will not show you how I do that and for this look, you're also going to need some volumizing spray, I'm going to be using vo5 pump it up as I quite like it and you're going to be needing hair spray, I'm using a Sainsbury's, no boots. Hair spray firm hold, you want a firm hold hairspray. You want a hair brush this normal hair brush. You want a back combing comb or a teasing comb. I'Ve got one of these one, so it's quite cool cuz. It'S got little jagged edges in it, as you can see, and you're going to be, wanting lots of lots and lots of other things, a hair band and you're also going to want. This is going to be a bit weird to some people. If you cannot have this technique and a sock put with the toe cut off like that and you're going to want to roll it from the elasticated end downwards, into the shape of a donut which I'm going to do now, consider interesting, really lit anyone that be Quite tight, don't up sounds really weird, so amazing that loud and wonderful, not gon na lie t this look works better if you do it overnight. So so, if you do it just before you get to bed, which is what I normally do and then it will last a just during the day, but I've really got time to focus on going out in about four hours. So it's case: if I'll do this tutorial I'll eat I'll get dressed I'll watch a film or do my work? Do my makeup? Do the Tudor on the makeup and then show you the rest of this video because it's not very difficult? Okay, so once you do that you'll end up with a bum like that, basically right, okay, I'm gon na go tower dry. My hair I'll show you very quickly look at what you got to do and you blow dry up and yeah. That'S it all right! I'Ll see you in a second right, okay, so now my hair is messy tied round, so it's kind of pretty much dry um you want to. I sorry I'm just ours are not hugged in what's up problems yeah there we go um, so my multi-plug went off and I said, cut off okay, so basically it has pretty towel dried, it's still quite damp because you need to blow-dry it. You want to take a volumizing, mousse or if you've got very easy, because my hair's really short, but it's really heavy. If you've got quite fine hair, you don't need to worry about this day so much because if you bow dry head upside down, which is what I'm going to do, no, it stays up a lot more easy today, volumizing these. I want about that. Much from your palm, so you know golf-ball-sized rub it into your hands. Flip your hair over digest! You rabbit, then not too difficult right. One sit on lap. Let'S take a hair, dryer and blow dry, your hair upside down. You another good message: you can use just sort of sorting out your hair and scrunching it like that when it's drying little white works, but it does that's. One reason why I love having short hair really dry right. I just kind of volumize anyway, and but for this look you are going to see this brush it to make it all nice and smooth. Otherwise, it doesn't work quite so well and also the tough to find out if it's actually completely dry or if it was just hot. If that makes sense. Obviously, when you dry your hair, your hair heats up quite a lot and some people stick off when it's actually dry. When it's not, you can understand why I have the nickname. The garage for my friends can't leave early also feel special people, I'm not wearing any makeup at all today, because I just got out the shower all right now, that is all nice and smooth and dry. So next time I'm doing and take a headband without the hair on it all right and you're gon na witness something quite interesting um you want to stand up and ship your hair over and just gather your hair, like so on the top of your head. They look a little bit special, this kind of takes for me. It takes several attempts, comply, has quite shots and it's a bit difficult to get all the bits of hair in you, don't necessarily need to, but they're making a heck of a lot easier. We have done and then you got paint on top. We have to look a little bit like I'm sporty spice, so you know that um and then you want to take your sock bun up. You want it happen so that the unrolled end so that bit they're pointing down like that, and you want to have it so that the oils on it easy to up my head upside down. And then you want to get the ends of the hair in like that. Thank You Sven to them. Actually, that's wrong. Ignore me! You tubers, I think, do it so that it's like that and you want to tuck it in tuck it into the UM actual sock. Bun itself, then you want to roll it over your hair, continuing to tuck in bits of hair as you go, but basically you end up at the donut. Only Heather look look a bit like that. It'S not a very neat one. I will admit all right. Only good fine for events all be back in a moment back my bobby pins. You need anything between 5 and 20, depending how neat we'll try. He wants me and literally just need to take the bobby pins and, if you've got pieces like that, because you know rub them round and then tuck them in this is continuing to do that. You know to spread out a little bit because you know you want quite big waves of this and you want to tuck it so that it kind of goes into the sock bun, underneath any stray bits that you have at the bottom. So, like those Bitzer, because my head's quite sure it works best this up if you've got quite long hair and then you can just take the ends 12 of them around a few times until next to the ball then slide it in put, it just gives it A little bit of a curl to it, which the rest of your hair will already have. How do you love having an empty house? It'S quite naturally means I can talk to myself in that shadow music on. I look like a weirdo right so now you want to leave that for as long as possible, I'm going to leave this until quarter past nine and then I'm going to show you the rest of it. I'Ve got change, I've eaten a dollar a cup and I'm currently waiting for confirmation that I can actually go out to a friend's to chill out cause, I'm so bored being here in my own moment. I do like the fact my friends have gone, but it's still really dull. Okay, so we've got the sock bun in you're gon na start by taking out the bobby pins. I'Ve had you a little bit of hair. Well, any loose fall out at the back pinned up. Alright, you can take those out and they're gon na be you know slightly messy, slightly curly, just a little bit so just a little bit messy and wavy. As you can see, you only tag house for this. Look if you want it to be quite not neat and tidy the wrong word the tears, but you know me like proper, alright and also in my absence, I put an extra rubber headband over the top of it to kind of keep the ball in place. Alright, so you want to start to slowly take up the bobby pins holding your bun in place. While you do so, you know that's wrong and that's not the depends you can you can skip. You can interchange these next two steps, but I prefer to do it like taking out bobby pins and then hair spraying it I find it easier sound all of them. That'S one reason why I don't like my hair: it seems to eat bobby pins. Quite a lot now, all right once all your bobby pins are out where you think they're I know, take the hairspray just spray, the balm and leave it for a couple of minutes, and while I'm doing that I'll grab, my shine spray I forgot to take right - Has been left to set for about a minute minute, a half and slowly, you can fill it when the hairspray is dried, chuckling, no, more bubbles right and I'm gon na slowly and we'll be suck them. As you can see, it's quite quite big, quite curly and I'm just gon na slowly I'll, take up the hair band and tie my head upside down for this. So you can actually see what it looks like thumbs up. The dress code tonight, Rockstar rule room um. Oh and as you can see, it's quite you know big and curly. It'S gon na take hands and rub it through all that, because it separate them up a little bit and then into the hairspray again just spray, the roots, my hair, just right down just fold. A little bit you'll mess it up, it doesn't have to be. This. Hairstyle is not about neatness in the slightest. Oh, that's a bobby pin, so I mean I got you some completely right and once he done like you want to just flip your hair up and see what the damage is. Oh Jesus Christ: what's the thing about this look cause it's never the same, no matter what you do with it. Okay does can see big WOW poof um. You'Ve got some nice random waves in there, but I kind of always want a bit more of a curl to it as well. So I've got my hair colored hair. These are the Amy ones and they're absolutely fabulous. I'Ve had this about six years. It'S never broken, never had a fall and never proceeded to be extremely hot. So what I can do is I'm just going to flip my hair. Damn I see any sort of sections that I kind of strayed or not so strip or a straight. It'S been wrapped around the hair wand, one two three, I just pull back and then you get a nice little comb like not a messy wave like a proper curl and I'll. I'M not going to do many of these today, because simplistic is all about mess and you can do a few round and bit suits look kind of too straight or don't look earlier now for the whole Massachusetts curly, like team, I see annexing fit more cull ture And SoCal few at the ends as well: okay, paraffin, you can see you can see this one here. Um last will not need to know, take a nice light, hairsprays I'm using the Loreal Elnett satin. It says it's extra strength, but you know it's genuinely, not it's quite a light weight. Hairspray just going to pin my friends out my face a lot there um there. We go, I can see what I'm doing right. Then you want to take your teasing go um. Actually I take the upper layers of your hair and just squish them down a little bit. You don't get massively take your nice lightweight, hairspray spray that hold up for when I get a bit of wave. A lot of drop around as Lucy is bigger and slightly curlier and yeah. That is pretty much the tutorial. If you want new carriage shine spray, I'm using bed head head references, I love it so little left now I should be present, isn't stop it! All of you.
