Hi everyone, it's Jen thanks so much for tuning in it's great to see you today, I'm gon na be talking about hair and how to do the perfect bun. I'Ve done a video on how to do a top knot before, which is super simple, and I put the link below in the description for that video. But this time I'm going to show you how to do a perfect bun and you need something to help you out a little bit, but it's super easy and I think that you'll really like it. So let's get started okay. So what you're gon na need for this perfect bun is just a few things. So, first of all, you need your brush I've. My new Mason Pearson brush here and you'll, need two different hair ties. I'Ll explain to you why later one of them, you know have it normal, like you would use for a ponytail and then the other one. Have it a little bit wider? I think we all have those stretched out. Hair ties that we have that we like have. No use for anymore, but this tutorial is gon na help. You put them to use and then you also need a hair sponge, and so this looks like a little donut here and it's like net. I don't know how to explain it. It looks like a donut. I got this at Sally Beauty, Supply they're, all over the internet, I'll put a link below in the description of where to find these. They make them in different sizes. So, depending on how long your hair is, you might need to get a bigger one or a smaller one, but I can tell you with my length hair: this is the medium sized one, so you can kind of see like how big it is. It fits just like in the palm of my hand there I can grab on to it. This is the perfect size. I have one that's smaller and I think it's more for a child. I don't know um well this one works really well and it helps you create that perfect fun. Alright, so you want to pull your hair up into a high ponytail. I prefer to have mine really high. I don't know I just like the way it looks better on me. I just recently got it cut, so the back is a little bit shorter. So what I'm gon na do is take my tighter rubber band that I use for normal ponytails and what not so me use that one kind of figure out exactly where I want it. I, like this height there, alright! So now you have your high pony. So next you're going to go ahead and you're going take your donut sponge thingy and put your ponytail through the donut or I'm just calling it that, because it looks like one now. What you want to do is fan your hair around it. So you just want to make sure it is perfectly over and it's not okay, I say perfect, but it's never gon na be perfect and if you try to be a perfectionist about it, you're gon na drive yourself insane. So you take that big elastic that you thought you would never use and you take it and you place it over like that now. What I do is I take the extra pieces here. That'S my radiators going off it's about to get real hot in here and I just kind of sweep this around and I take a bobby pin and I just stick it in there. You can't even see it and then, if I want to, I can pull some pieces out. I can make it look a little. You know whatever I want to and I can tie like another bobby pin like I have some behind here that I can see. So I want to tuck that in there we go and then I because I have those short hairs, I want to make sure to get those up and it starts to look pretty perfect, which, if that's, what you're going for it's an easy way to do it. All right and then take some hairspray just kind of get those flyaways and you should be all set. I like to spray like right here too, because you just want to make sure it's holding. So this is what it looks like in the back. I hope this tutorial was helpful and you go out there rocking a bun this week. So thank you so much for tuning in subscribe to my channel and if you like, this video, give it a thumbs up and I'll see you next time. Bye,
