Easy, Carefree Flat Iron Curls Tutorial

Hey guys, so I just flat iron, my hair and it's looking just a little flat. So I'm thinking I'm gon na need some Carl spruce it up a little bit. So what you'll need is a paddle brush, a comb, some duct clips and a heat protectant. I have the Carol's Daughter, macadamia, the alternative bamboo heat protectant and the caviar CC cream, I'm going to be using the Carol's Daughter, macadamia oil. I like the shine that it gives so I'm just going to distribute that evenly throughout my hair. I want to make sure that my hair is protected during heat styling. So I'm going to split my hair in half and I'm going to put one half away and then I'm going to section that other side in half again top to bottom and I'm going to put that section away as well. Once I do that, I'm going to get a vertical sliver about half an inch thick and I'm going to use my t3 single pass flat iron and I'm going to do spiral curls. So basically, I hold the flat iron to my root and then I twist it until I do one full turn and then I just pull the flat iron all the way down and you'll get a curl that looks like that. So I'll show you again pay attention to the color of my flat iron, and so you can see that it's black on that side and then I'm going to twist until it's black again and then I just pull the flat iron down gently until I get all Of my hair through it, and that's going to give me that nice curl, you can see like that and I'm going to keep going all the way until I reach the front of my hair, making sure to comb out each section and make sure that they're smooth Once you get the hang of it, it literally takes no time at all. So you can see it's black, I'm going to twist it until that black side is showing again and then I'm going to pull it all the way down, and that is the bottom half finished now make sure that you get any missing pieces. Sometimes you miss pieces. So just make sure that you get them so that way everything blends well, I love doing it this way, as opposed to a curling iron, because the curls just last a little bit longer without having to use any holding spray. I don't like the feeling of holding spray it. Just I feel like my hair, doesn't last straight as long because of the aerosol and alcohol. I just try to keep my products to a minimum, so I'm doing the same on the other half of the bottom of my hair that curl up a little droopy there, but once you twist around yeah there, you go it's fine, so I'm just keep I'm just Going to keep on going until I reach the front of my hair, and that should be the last section and then I'm going to twist until that side of the Flatiron is in the front again. So one full turn and then I'm going to pull it all. The way down cute little curls, i section the top portion of my hair differently than the bottom you'll want one big section, almost as wide as your flat iron plates, so that the crown will have tons of volume. With this technique. This concept will get a lot more clear once I reach the front of my head this time, I'm taking a thin section horizontally, and this is the way I'm going to curl my hair until I reach the front so pulling the hair straight up into that. One section I'm going to turn the flat iron one full time again, and this is going to get me those curls, but it's going to add more lift into the roof. At this point, you can add any hairspray to your route for lift and hold, but I like to keep my products to a minimum, so this is going to give you a better view of what I'm doing. I'M slicing the hair at the top sort of how you would do if you're, using a heat, rollers or any sort of rollers to set your hair, but instead I'm going to be curling the hair that way, because it just adds more lift to the root. So we're going to do one full turn, so that way the hair is curled and it goes backwards like I said you can always tease it and add some holding spray just to add some more volume to the roots. If that is your main concern, so I'm just going to keep on going until they reach the front of my hair. I have one more section left and I like to curl like bangs backwards, because I like the way that they make my bangs lay now. That'S funky yeah, but if I just kept it like that, so I'm just going to adjust the curls just to have them lay the way that I want them to lay and you can pick out the curls as well. That'Ll. Add more volume at this point. If you want to add any holding spray, you can add some holding spray as well, and I'm going to part my hair to the side, because I feel like that gives me the most volume. Then you know to part it in the middle slicking down the baby. Hairs and I'm just going to adjust it until I like the way that the curls are falling. So you can see the curls are very carefree and they're just going to fall into beautiful waves. So it's like a two-in-one hairstyle. I absolutely love it.
