Hey friends, how are you I am doing pretty good um? I am excited to do a new kind of you learn with me tutorial today. I actually have not ever tried these to put these on my pixie cut and you get to pretty much see me. Do the trial and error process through seeing if I can make one of these stretchy headbands work for my hair? So I got a comment on one of my videos. I think it was the pinup style video. I did and I got a comment asking: could I do a video on using stretchy headbands on a pixie cut so today I actually ordered some from Amazon. These are the Ken's Lorenz stretchy hair bands, and I don't even remember how I think there were four in this package. How many came in this package I'm going to try them out today. I will definitely link these in the description. Okay, so man there's more than four so there's a white one, a yellow one. This is like a dark kind of gray and we've got a light gray. Then we've got kind of a taupe color and a black. So what I'm gon na try to do is try a few of these on I'm gon na blow dry. My hair put some product in it and see if I can come up with a few different styles that we can use with these. So I'm actually excited it would be nice to be able to just throw your hair and hit band real, quick, and I don't usually I have a few headbands. I have more fancy headbands. I did a video on adding a little bling one time and I use this and it was actually ended up being super cute, so I don't know why this wouldn't be cute as well. So as an update about what happened this week, I had a crazy week at work this week, if you're one of my new subscribers and you don't kind of follow my story um, I work in a curriculum company and I've been working there for like five years And I work remotely from my house and some manager roles came up this week and I applied for one and I got it so I got like a really great job opportunity and but let me tell you, it has been super super stressful. It'S been long days and it's you know when sometimes when organizations change their structure, everybody is all kind of nervous. So yeah, it's been very exciting, but I am exhausted and hopefully can get some rest in this weekend. I'Ve been watching football. This is crazy. I would have laughed at myself if I said this of like five years ago, because I've never been into football or whatever, but my husband loves the Chiefs and they're doing really good this year. So I have been watching only the Chiefs game every week and um. I got ta say it's actually kind of fun. So do you guys like football out of curiosity? I know it's mostly a guys kind of sport, but I know a lot of women that actually do like football. That'S about all! That'S going on the news with me. This week it's been mostly work, work, work, work, work and make it to the weekend, which I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm talking about all right. So the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to blow dry, my hair and I'm gon na use the gin Reed hot airbrush. If you are a subscriber that subscribed based on seeing that video cuz, that video has gotten a lot of piece now, which is really surprising me, it just kind of took off. Unfortunately, this ginrei hot airbrush available on Amazon, because it's a the smallest one you can buy that has the smallest barrel size, which is one inch and they sold out. So if you're looking for one of those, I will keep checking because I do love my hot air brush. I use it all the time, but I will definitely keep checking and see if I can find a replacement. Let'S get started. Okay, hairs, all dry. I'Ve got some texture paste, I'm going to use. This is the one I've been using forever. I do need to get some new texture paste here pretty soon, because this is about out and I'm probably gon na try to try a new brand, but this is just the road auntie Beverly Hills. Texture paste for men get a little bit of this here. I don't want to really put too much on here, because I want to kind of do a couple different styles, so just going to use about that much and you really get a rub it into your hands and then I'm just gon na transfer it all. To my hair, all right: let's make a first pass at this, so I'm gon na try, maybe something that will match. Maybe the white one that might match my outfit. You know I'm I'm such a sucker for grey grey is like my favorite color right now. It'S just a weird color to say it's your favorite color, but I love all things gray. I love dark, Gray's and like graze, and we you know we just had this house built about a year ago, the house I'm living in now and we'd get to pick everything out. You know that we wanted because it was a custom house. So I I don't know I picked out like grey furniture and a gray tabletop and I haven't like great blankets and all of our walls are wide, so I think and they're kind of modern. So it kind of looks I like that. Color combination in our house just gon na throw this on there and see what happens okay, so this almost looks kind of like a 1950's style with my bangs down like that, should we go with it? Maybe we should, I think, the key with bands and the fact that you know I've got short hair. I have to make sure it looks good in the back like I don't want it to look like. Oh I've got this band around the bottom of my neck. So I'm gon na have to adjust this maybe a little bit, but what can we do here if I pull my hair down kind of take some of this other hair out? Could I style this in such a way that it would keep just like 1950s? Look going on doesn't get a little more texture pace going on here for the back part, what do you think guys isn't that cute? I think that is so cute. I'M actually surprised just that. I just happened to have done. My bang is kind of pointing down. So I think that's super super cute alright, so that was number one. Let'S try a different one, we'll go with great this time since I'm so in love with this color um. This time I'm gon na, like put my hair back, I almost even think I could pull this in half like this, so it's not so thick might take a little bit of combing here. Okay, so that's definitely more reserved um, but not. This feels, like kind of like a quick thing you could do in the morning if you didn't want to feel like dealing with your hair. So I think this is actually also very cute. All right that was number two try a different band. First, maybe this brown one, actually, this yellow one. Alright, I'm gon na just try to flatten these things a little bit and also what the rest of us hair down. So I'm taking the hair kind of out from underneath it and kind of laying it over there. Maybe even a little bit more right here. Alright, I'm gon na do a little bit more straightening on my bangs a little bit finer comb. Do you guys ever when you're doing the straightener use a comb, because our hair is so short, it's so much easier way to do it without burning your fingers. Okay and I'm gon na straighten these a little bit too. I don't usually like to straighten anything with hair stuff hair product in my hair, like because I use that texture paste, I just have to be really careful when I'm doing using the flat iron. So it's not to burn my hair. Usually I do the flat ironing before I put any product on, but just since, I'm being all trying out some new things out, I think this is this. Is fine, okay, ooh? What do you guys think? I think this one is maybe my favorite now I'll just kind of get a little bit of more texture paste on my hands to separate this front down a little bit. You know I think I like it guys. I think I'm gon na leave this on today. Oh and I'm gon na use my camera perfect medium spray. To finish this off, that's another thing: I was thinking about getting the firm, the perfect medium. This is the medium spray which leaves it real flexible, which I like most days, but sometimes I just want it to be there and not move. So I think I need to also get another thing of hairspray. Maybe you try a different brand. Well, alright, thanks for joining me today, I hope maybe this might inspire you to get a couple of cheap headbands and try them out with your pixie cut or your short hair. So don't forget to subscribe and like this video and I'll see you next time, bye.
