For lockdown or stay-at-home order, we also made a few other videos.

When you go out shopping or bring in things you have purchased after your trip, have you investigated every step so that you have the lowest probability of picking up invisible germs? In this https://youtu.be/3xNTNRehrE4 video, we share with you things we do to minimize the risks. Depending on your own situation, you should examine your process to see if you have additional possibilities of cross contamination, and you can modify based on the principles we discuss in this video.

We have quite a few other videos about face masks and face shield (PPE). For masks, we use higher pressure to test filters in https://youtu.be/8mCPB8n065Y. If your material led to a different conclusion, i.e. filter 1 is better than filter 2 under one pressure but the opposite is true under another pressure, please let us know because we have yet to find such a case. Is your face mask effective? How do you test the quality of your mask, especially your own DIY masks? In this video, https://youtu.be/25lDoBSsQG8 I have given you multiple strategies, you may choose to use some of them depending on what you have, and varying materials, different particles and different tools. This video can also be used to check filtering effectiveness for things other than masks such as DIY vacuum bags, DIY air purifier filters etc.

After our video "DIY face masks in 10 seconds & improve cheaper masks" https://youtu.be/Wg-cwD4Edac went viral, our viewers asked us many questions about reducing the gaps. This video shows you how to reduce the side gaps with no cost, and with filters being used efficiently: https://youtu.be/79cleCN1oiY Please subscribe to our channel, we will be making more similar videos.

Besides the issues of face mask shortage, we also have a shortage of toilet paper. What do you do if toilet paper is sold out and using other kinds of paper will clog the pipes? Americans use an average of 23.6 toilet paper rolls per person a year. Here is my DIY solution to resolve that problem:

The best part -- it won't cost anything.

What do you do if face shields are in short supply? Face shields are especially critical for medical staff, but a lot of suppliers are out of stock. This video will show you how to make your own, with two different designs you can choose from:

Have you ever tested how effective your handwashing is? You still get a cold every year even though you swear that you washed your hands very well, right? This video will provide a way for you to test your handwashing skills or you can use this as a way to convince your kids to wash hands well. Also this test method can help us to try different methods.

I'M the genius asian welcome to the genies family. Today i am going to show you how to cut your hair yourself without mishaps. Instead of using mirrors, i sign into a zoom room from both a cell phone as well as a laptop. I put the laptop in front of me and cell phone on a tripod placed behind me or on the side. The phone's camera shoots the back of my head and projects to the laptop in front of me. This way you can cut your hair easily if you prefer to do your hair cutting in a bathroom. I have eight different setup suggestions for you. If you don't have a tripod. One tie two legs of a pair of pants together with a shoelace. Hang the pants on the door of a medicine cabinet use another shoelace to hang the belt loop to the medicine cabinet door as well put a cell phone into the back pocket adjust the angle with socks. You can move the door to change your shooting angle. Put a box on a chair in front of you and put your laptop on the box two. If your bathroom does not have a medicine cabinet on the side, i will show you four different ways to hang a cell phone on your wall. I use a paper clip to tie a rubber band onto a piece of cardboard. Put the cardboard behind this towel ring fasten the cell phone with the rubber band. You can adjust the angle with a toothpaste, tube three. You can hang a piece of cardboard on the light adjust the angle with another piece of cardboard: four, you can hang a phone from a nightlight using dental floss check. My other video on using dental floss 5. put a suction cup on the mirror, tie a phone to the suction cup. Six. If you have a vanity counter, i have three examples for you: put your phone in a mug and adjust the angle with socks. Seven put your phone on a cardboard box. Eight put your phone next to a soap dispenser held onto it by dental floss, check out my other video to see a dozen more ideas on how to tie your cell phone to anywhere. If you have enough skill to trim other people's hair, you should be able to trim your own hair if you don't have much experience or skill after solving the problem of how to see the next most important thing is how to cut evenly for shorter hair. You can use a trimmer with a clipping guard. I know beginners usually do not have much confidence, so my first demo just shows some quick and basic trimming so that you can last another month until you visit your regular barber or hair stylist. The easiest part is to trim the neckline spray a little bit of water comb, your hair straight down and flat. If you want a squared neckline, you can use a wire as a guide or template place, the wire around the back of your head and twist it together in the front, adjust it to the length you want to cut to. But i like a rounded neckline, so we will make a simple neckline guide to guarantee. You can't make a mistake. This is the plastic lid from a large container of coffee mark. The two diameter points then cut the center of the lid out cut through one of the marked points to open the ring. The other marked point will align with the center of your neck, use your thumb to press this ring to the center of the back of your neck on that mark and place other fingers to the side. The top of the circle should be pointed towards the top of your ears. The clipper's taper lever should be up and you flip the clipper to trim. If you find you are not used to directing the blade while watching a video, you can close your eyes when you feel the blade reaches the plastic circle, you can just press it to the hair and drag it down. If you are not sure how long you want your hair start low, you can always decide to move up and make it higher, but not the other way around. Since i have made this template, i have never failed on the neckline. This task is a simple one and it is really hard to fail on this. Next, we trim the hair behind the ears. Here are clipping guards for left and right ears. They are marked left and right, and the taper lever is at the down position spray. A little bit of water comb, your hair straight down and flat hold the top of the ear down and move the trimmer upward from the back and around the ear. Unlike the neat trim on the neckline, my hair overall does not show as significant an improvement from just this trim, because the surrounding hair is too long. It would be much better if i have short hair all around or if i complete the haircut with feathering for fine tuning around the ear. There is a separate ear trim guide. Are you worried about the ears rubber band masking tape to mask out toilet raw? A hundred percent protection: next we shave the sideburns. If you shave the sideburns higher than your ear, then you will have to cut more to blend in with the rest of your head. Therefore, if you want to keep it easy, you should only cut up to this point where the top of your ear joins your face, the sideburn could be cut, tilting down or tilting up or straight. I will demo with my left, sideburn going down and the right going up so that you can make your style choice. I spray some water on my left side and comb flat. I wrap a wire under the top of the ears and under my eyes the clipper's taper lever should be up, but don't turn it on yet. First use the other hand to guide the blade to find the position once your blade rests on the position. Make sure your thumb is touching your face. I call the point where the thumb touches the face. The anchor point, the anchor point, brings you close to the rough location and you rotate or pivot, along the anchor point to reach a more precise location. This way, the operation is divided into two steps: anchor your thumb on your head and then move the clipper without moving your hand. Without this anchor point, your head may move your hand may move, and your brain is not trained to control multiple moving objects. Next, i will show a higher sideburn on my right side. I spray some water on my right side and comb flat. I wrap a wire under the top of the ears and over my eyes, the clipper's taper lever should be up and you flip the clipper to trim. It is easy to do very neatly short. Hair is relatively easy because there are fewer steps i prefer short hair. So all the above three techniques work very well for me since my last haircut video many years ago, i have become pretty quick and efficient in hair cutting. I learned that i can use a single clipping guard. In this case, i used a short clipping guard about 22 millimeters to have a rough cut and i don't need any mirror or video chat. I just go all around my head with vertical strokes. Many times since i cut hair above a trash. Can it is easier and little cleaning is needed? Then i trim the ears, the neckline and sideburns. In my next video i will discuss medium and long hair for longer hair. You need to create multiple sections. The most important skill is to blend from one section to the next. The transition from this line is called taper when your hair gradually changes from one length to another. The blending for the neckline is called fade. A fade is shorter than a taper and ends when it reaches the skin. In case you don't have my setup, i will show you some alternatives. Zoom video is easy to use, but it requires internet with good bandwidth, skype or webex or other video chat. Programs also require internet connection. The bandwidth bottleneck may limit your video resolution or cause freezing that limits. The effectiveness of your video camera. I may make another video to show you how to use only local wi-fi to connect your phone and a laptop, or, if you don't have wi-fi you can use a usb cable. I should also note that when you use zoom enable the video on cell phone but disable the video on your laptop to conserve bandwidth, please leave comments below so that i know there is interest in this subject. If you don't have a tripod, you can attach your cell phone to a stationary place and move the laptop as you cut the side or back instead of moving the cell phone check out my other videos that showed you how to attach the cell phone to your Windows and to your cars that will give you ideas on how to attach to any place you want. I will show you how to attach a cell phone to a tripod. I remove the tripod's quick release plate. If you don't have this quick release plate check out. My other video that shows you seven other ways to attach a cell phone to a tripod. I put a coat hanger through the gap on the bottom. When i close the quick release plate this coat, hanger wire is attached onto the tripod. I remove the air vent cell phone holder from my car and the clamp from the holder will fasten on the coat hanger. If you don't have a cell phone holder, i have a video to help you. You can also use a selfie stick. You may have seen another way to use this phone holder in this video, so the holder is clamped to a can. The can is held by cardboard clamped onto a brick, very simple and sturdy. Isn'T it a tip about the trimmers? Some clipping guards are adjustable length and some are fixed length. The fixed clipping guards are better when you perform a self haircut with the adjustable clipping guards a few times. The setting changed without my intending it in the middle of cutting resulting in an unintended mohawk cut to avoid accidental slips. I now tape over the adjustable clipping guard if using it share this with people who you know that need needed. Leave your own genius tips in the comment section below, don't forget: i'm the genius asian subscribe for more useful videos. You
