NEW Video: "Our First Family Boat Ride Went Horribly Wrong"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sX3UM6...

-~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Hey y'all, so somebody left a suggestion that I do a video on haircuts for curly hair and I thought it was an awesome idea. So I put together six possible haircuts that you could get so I'm just gon na show you some pictures for each type of haircut and please keep in mind that your hair is not going to come out exactly like in the pictures I'm going to show, because We all have different curl textures, so please keep in mind your curl texture, so the first haircut is short hair with high layers. As you can see, she has her layers really high up about here now. This haircut is the fastest way to get the most volume and curl definition. Having short hair takes some weight off of your roots, allowing your curls to have more volume and then having layers takes off even more weight from your root. This haircut is also a fast way to get a cute fro, and if you don't want an afro, then don't get a short hair with high layers. Next is short hair with low layers, and this is actually me and one of my senior pictures as you can see. My layers start right about here. This haircut will give you a bit of volume and curl definition, because you'll have short hair with a bit of layers, but having the low layers will allow your curls to be weighed down a little, allowing your curls to loosen up and to lose a little bit Of volume, if that's the look, you want to go for, if you have high layers, just grow your hair until they become low layers, and if you have no layers, then go for low layers. Next is short hair with no layers. She actually does have a little bit of layers, but only framing around her face, but she doesn't have them all around her head. Having short hair with no layers is the easiest way to get the infamous triangle head. The reason a triangle head is formed is because there is no layers and because there's no layers, there's a lot of weight being put on the roots, thus dragging down your curls and putting all the weight at the very bottom forming a little triangle. If you want to loosen up your curls and lose a bit of volume, I recommend you grow out your hair into one length. Next is my ultimate favorite haircut and that's long hair with high layers. As you can see, her layers start right about here. Getting high layers is the fastest way to get a butt load of volume and curl definition. So if you have long, hair and you're looking for a way to get more volume and curl definition definitely look into getting higher layers, but be careful because you might end up with an accidental mullet depending on your curl type and the hair. Stylist. And next is me: I actually have long hair with low layers. As you can see, my layers are really low. They start right about here, having low layers, pulls down my curls, controlling them and taking away volume and a little bit of definition, but having the layers. Also gives me some volume, so if you have high layers, just continue growing out your hair until they become low layers and if you have hair, that's one length and just get low layers. The last haircut is not really a haircut at all. Actually it's having hair. That is all one length, as you can tell. She has absolutely no layers anywhere having long hair with no layers is probably the best way to get rid of volume and curl definition, because there's just gon na be so much weight on your roots and on your curls that they're going to loosen up and you'll Lose volume so, if you're looking for a way to like calm down your hair, growing it out long with no layers is the best option for you, alrighty y'all, that's it and I hope you liked it comment like And subscribe leave more amazing suggestions. Oh gosh leave suggestions. I love making videos for you guys. If you need to contact me, you can contact me here on YouTube or on Facebook, on KK or on Instagram and I'll leave all those links in the description box. Thank you y'all for being so amazing, and I hope this helped you out, I was gon na say in Jesus name. Amen have a great day. I bye-right

jus jaz: in Jesus name amen.

MiZZ TiFF: I'm actually getting my hair cut in 2 weeks hopefully & this really helped! my hair is long & all one length & I am definitely getting high layers. I love big, curly hair so that's what I'm aiming for for! Thanks for the video!

Princess Puke: You're videos SAVED my (hair's) life. I didn't know how to take care of my 3a-3b curls and I straightened it all the time. I wouldn't leave the house without straight hair it made me so anxious. Your videos have helped me out so much and now I always embrace my curls! I haven't straightened it since I started watching you videos <3 x

waymire01: If you want to avoid the mullet you need to reserve a portion of the outline.. an inch or so around the bottom of your head, and layer above that. It really helps reduce the stringy outline. Also watch out for short layers.. my hair actually curls more the longer it gets, anything too short goes straight. For example my bangs which are 5-6" long stretched have next to no curl. Flat or waves on top of ringlets looks really strange.

Kelly Manana: Just discovered your channel. Love your personality girl! Thanks for being YOU in front of the camera. Your videos are very helpful & I'm inspired to be more myself in my videos too (still very much of a YouTube beginner). But yes, just wanted to say thank you & I look forward to watching more videos!

Makenzie Rodriguez: I love her videos they help me and my curls out so much! ❤️❤️❤️

Kelsey Wimberg: you're actually my favorite person that makes curly hair videos! I just watched all of your videos and I've learned more than I've ever known, and I thought I knew everything to know about curly hair!! so thank you, thank you, thank you!!

milkman: thank you so much for making this vid. I’ve been struggling to figure out why my curls are so flat even when I scrunch them, why I have no volume, and why the framing of my face is not how i want it to look. I realized that I have the last hairstyle you mentioned which is long curls with no layers which doesn’t give as much volume. I’ve been meaning to cut my hair shorter and get layers so thank you ! <3

Anita Bruckner: I was really impressed! You actually helped me alot with my curly hair. I am at the point where I just want to cut it all off but I am letting it grow out now but not the bangs! Thanks.

fátimah oxx: I love how you can keep your videos short but still give lotss of info :) very helpful

CRAGGEV: Hey! Thank you so much for the video :) I had actually no idea that haircuts could avoid the "triangle head". Now I know what to ask to a hairstylist. (Now I just have to find one, where I live my hair type isn't really common so finding one with enough experience to cut it right is a nightmare!) Also, your hair is beautiful

Momma Bubbly: I absolutely love the A-Line Bob Cut. I got it on my very curly hair to help get rid of my heat damage. Check it out on my page ;)

Johanna Häusler: i love your haircut in your senior picture!! <3 did you cut your hair by yourself? and if you did so, how did you do it? i really love your videos and you encouraged me to embrace my natural curly hair!! thank you so much!! :*

JulesSaphire: Second day curl advice? My curls always end up flat, messy and kinda oily over night!

Chloe Rose Art: Ugh, I had one of those haircuts (1:30) but slightly longer. She didn't give me any layers whatsoever and my hair looked like a complete triangle. It was awful :( Layers are a NECESSITY

doodle68: Love the high-layered long curly hairstyle, it's gonna take a while for me though :P Love your videos! <3 :)

DasiaBlue: This is so helpful. For some reason, I always thought that only certain hair types could have levels of a layers (if that makes sense). Like people with 2-3 type hair usually have low layers while 3-4 have higher layers. I have type 3c and it's frustrating seeing most of these youtubers with big voluminous fros and having to deal with short puffy roots and thinking that's the only option. I've always gotten my hair cut with layers (not really knowing what the term meant) Im going to grow my layers out now though for longer/no layers.

CookieMeister: I currently have long hair with no layers. My salon lady recommended it to me to keep my hair under control so it wouldn't be so poofy. I really want to try the long hair with high layers though. That looked sooooo cute. Your style is really cute too, and it would be really easy for me to just go get low layers. I'm not sure which I want to try first :)

GriGore: I got haircut long hair with high Layers and i love it !! Thank you for this video <3

C Berry: great vid it gave me the exact info i needed. girl, u know ur stuff!

bdg: Having curly hair is such a hassle so the next time I get a haircut I'll keep your video in mind because this was really helpful ^_^ THANK YOU SO MUCH! I subscribed and I can't wait for your next videos <3

Hanna Amanda: My goal is to have long hair with short layers, currently i have long layers and kind of short hair (like in the picture of you). I cut it of to my shoulders last year but since i stopped using heat last fall it has grown quite a bit. Hopfully it will grow more during the summer :) I so wish I knew all of what i know now when I was a teenager because man i did some serious damage, LOL.

Rahma Sofiane: Hey gurl. Could you share with us some tips on how to style curly (2B/2C) hair on a round face? Many thanks !

Penny Tovar: +Ellie Gilbertson I think you should apply conditioner to your hair until it feels silky. As for shampoo, I like the brand Shea Moisture. I recommend gel for frizz control :) gel by LA Looks

S B: Heeyy! So first i just wanna thank you so much for your videos. My hair is much prettier and healthier now because of you! :D But here's the thing, my hair is very thick and i know that's good, but every time i wanna wear it loose it's just soooo annoying. It gets in the way the whole time and in the summer it gets way too hot in my neck. How can you handle that? Also, i really like the short hair with low layers. I love that length, my own hair is a bit longer and much thicker. I really want that hairstyle, but do you think it will look good if i'll get it cut like that? Cause i'm afraid, because i have thick hair, that it'll look like some kinda brushed down afro or something xd Do you know what i can do? Sorry for this long comment but i hope you'll reply thanks byeeeex

Michele Huerta: This video answered so many questions for me!! Great video!!

Amal Alharthi: Thank you .. very informative! I really needed this video :D

Just Because24: I have long curly hair (all same length) and ive really been wanting to get some layers to add volume, this video helped me figure out what kind i might like (long hair with high layers)

Marisol Estrada: your hair is exactly like mine! Love your videos by the way(:

Laura Pritchett: So I'm a 40 year old Native American/Caucasian with curly hair around my face and wave/curl in the back. The lampshade effect was the only cut it seemed I could get from 1984-2003 until various layering techniques and other styles came along. Here it is 2019 and I feel like my curls are changing and the only hair style I can wear is "YE OLDE BUN" please help me, Mizz Penny!!!

Kaire Caballero: finally a great video on great haircuts for curly hair!

Straingelove: That was super helpful thank you so much !!!

Scarlett 2326: you should do an updated curly routine :)

Helene: I love your videos! I have hair like yours just a little bit curlier and its also long but I have SOO much hair it makes too much volume at my roots and by my head! My hair is just above my butt so it's long already. I wanna get layers to reduce volume by my head but I'm scared it will make it more huge!

CatieWrong: Your hair is all of my hair goals; I'm so jealous. I'm trying to grow mine out (it's about ehh.. boob length?) and to avoid using heat styling, what would you recommend if I wanted to go for a more styled curl look, similar to what I'd get with a large barrel curling iron? Words are hard.

lyricsbloom: Love love and you were very helpful. Now I know what to do when I get my haircut. Just subscribed

Asia Shima: When you get your hair cut in layers, do you tell them how you part your hair? The past two trips I took to get my curls trimmed and cut, I honestly told the stylists that I part my hair to the side. But it made it nearly impossible to part my hair any other way and still look decent. My sister's hair isn't as curly as mine is on account of frequent straightening, but she's trying to go back to natural and told me when she gets her hair cut or layers trimmed, she tells the stylist she doesn't part her hair in any way. Which do you suggest?

Rachel Ann: Hey penny! Can you do a tutorial for trimming low layers at home?

Sydney Kahlil: My hair is actually quite frizzy and it's all one length...but I want more definition and really get rid of the frizz. What would I do to achieve that?

Carolina Castelán: Gosh thank youuuu, helped a lot!

Anita S.: I love this style of long hair with short layers (your favorite). But how do we know if that long hair are extensions or not? I'm just saying that because it's very difficult to have hair that long with layers that short without getting straggly ends. I'm not sure I explained that right.

Amanda Daniel: I'm currently waiting for my triangle head to grow out hahaha

Julia Marszal: Omg I love you so much, I watched all your video's yesterday, and I actually have really poofy hair too. I always straighten my hair.. but now after I watched your video's I'm going to change my hair care routine up and I hope my hair is going to be like yours.. cuz girl your hair is perfection..  But what do you recommend me to do ? xo Loveyaa

Dr. Sharon Kainth: If you have hair that is on the finer side, having your hair at one even length when long is good, if you get layers your ends can easily look very thin when it gets longer.

Mahmuda Hoque: It's been 3 years I'm growing my hair and now it reaches my whole back, My hair type is 3a with thin and less I just want a mdeium volume and curl texture. Any suggestions which one I should go for?

Ava Murphy: I have the very last type of hair and I love it!!!!!

Dylan Dubois: you are so awesome and down to earth. I've spent an embarrassing part of my day watching your videos lol

anna g: this helped so much thanks!!

Melody Plz: Hahaha randomly saying "in Jesus Name Amen"..Yep. Happens. You rock girl!

America Rodriguez: Hello I followed all your tips and I see a huge difference! But my hair is very frizzy do you recommend any time of gel? And I want less volume cause my hair is very big and I don't want it to be that big haha

Leaf: I just recently got short side bangs and...not to brag but they look really good!

Mili Mask: Hey penny can you do a video about how to fix dry ends that won't curl up?

Jenni Tulls: I couldn't help myself, I busted out laughing when she said "triangle head". LOL

Caitlynn Caldwell: Very informative. Thanks.

Silem Ochoa: Omg thank you! I was looking for this!!

Lisa Lentile: my hair is like yours I never thought I would find someone with hair like mine thanks for your help even hairstylist font know these things

BooknerdJebbi: My hair is a bit shorter than yours, somewhere between midback and waist when the curl is pulled out, and I have no layers. It's getting super heavy and impossible to control, and I don't feel as if the curls are loose or tamer at all. I am afraid of cutting it and getting like diamond shaped hair, which might be worse than the infamous triangle.

nutzerwutzer9: Thanks for the video! Now I know to say high layers instead of just layers to my stylist. It's like they never get it exactly right.

AnimeFreak792: Long hair high layers! Yes! That's the one I want!! The top of my head is so flat and I can't stand it. Now I have to find someone who isn't a complete idiot with curly hair to cut it for me. The hardest part of having curly hair......

Kneely_Knight: I have long thick hair with no layers, and I've been wondering why my hair never curls at the root and I get no volume at the top, now I realize my hair is probably weighing it down. Thank you!

marissa maggard: My hair is actually no layers and pretty long but it surprisingly has a good amount of volume

discobella101: Super fab video Penny, best I've found on hair cuts yet!

Alyssa Hopkins: Our hair is so similar and we like the same cut. I’m just scared of high layers haha

Jodi-Kay Edwards: Loving you with layers, super cute on your face! :)

Anusha K Murthy: I like low layers on long hair. But problem with layers is they give longer layers splits where shorter layer causes friction to it.

Stevie Ray: Just got a haircut and apparently my hair dresser believes you cant cut layers in the back without cutting the hair short...she said it makes it "imbalanced" :(

The Cynthia Navarro: I’m learning so much thank you

Time to Invest !!!: I have curly hair and I'm cutting mine like the 2nd or 3d girls one the one you said you personally loved because I love it too!

Marta De la Vega: My hair used to reach my butt lenght but it was really curly and frizzy (as always) that i was also so voluminous but it has also been one length, and now that i got it cut it is even more voluminous and now it reaches under my boobs lol

Erika Sanozidis: Long hair with short layers soo pretty, i have medium hair with short layers and I'm planning on growing it out c:

blmchenhippie: So helpful!

Ellie Gilbertson: Thx:) also how do I know when I've rinsed out all the conditioner

Scrappicat: Can you please talk about gray hair?  I colored my gray because it makes me look so much better (and younger) but I think the color is damaging to my hair.  I am afraid to color it again but I really don't like the gray.  I am mid 40s and very gray.  My hair feels very wiry but I have noticed some improvement since watching your videos.  The gray hair has a mind of it's own.

S. P. KALE. DM: I have search about this EVERYWHERE! thank youuuuuu

Guera Cabrera: can you do a video on what detachable shower heads have the low/gentle setting? i haven't been able to find one yet. thanks.

Daisy Rivera: Omg thank you so much for this!!!!

Ori O: Nice video! I like the first one

Ayo: Could you do a video about different curly hairstyles? :)

Ewelina Antoszczak: Your hair is so beautiful <3

Salem Getayawkal: I'm literally re-watching the last part where you said that you almost said 'in Jesus name amen'I'm dying every time!!!! So perfect

Amethyst Hinamori: Long hair and high layers. What curl type do you need for this?? <3 love the video (you're saving my curls! hahah x3)

Miren Mier: I realy love it, thank you for sharing the tips, realy realy Love it,, i know how to cut my curly hair now,, Finally,,, God ! Thank you ^^

Phoenix Butterfly: Long hair with short layers! My hair is more springy and I still need to grow it out even though it's in the middle of my back when straight. It just shrinks up to my shoulders lol

Kys Mista: i actually have super long curly hair (super duper curly) and plan on getting short layers tomorrow hope it goes well

connie black: Wow really beautiful!

Scarlett: Could you do a video on how to grow your hair long ? plleassee !!! because your hair length is perfect X

Maria : Love these ideas ! Tkank you

Ruth Acosta: long hair with short layers was my favorite but my hair isn't curly for that to work out. My hair isn't that long and most of my layers are around collar length although my bottom layer is below my chest

MeRona: The ending was do cute- made me laugh! Thanks for the video.

PuckEshuis: I want my hair to be longer. But when I let it grow it get's really heavy and it makes my face look very long, which makes me insecure. Do you have advice? (:

Ellie Gilbertson: Can you do a video on how you know that you've gotten all the conditioner or enough of the condition out of your hair and what are some good shampoos to use. I have short hair with sorta high layers and have no idea what I'm doing. I really love to straighten my hair but not that often , what would be some good products to keep my hair healthy and non frizzy

Teresa Land Hamilton: Omg once I got mine done with high layers on long hair and ended up with the mullet!!!

Frost Night: I have the infamous triangle hair because the lady who cut my hair was so incredibly mean. The ends of my hair were dried out and I went in to get it trimmed. I had layers like your senior picture and the lady told me I needed to cut it to one length because I looked "like a mushroom". No joke. She said this. Repeatedly. I really liked my hair like it was... I told her how my hair would behave if it were one layer and she told me I was wrong and proceed to call me a mushroom. I was already having a horrible day so I just told her to do whatever.

Malak Amir: Can you do hairstyles for thick curly hair?

Bhavika Malik: Is it important to have layered haircut for curly hair?

Claire R.: I was thinking of getting the high layers bc right now i have the "no haircut" do you recommend it ? and if so what should i say to get it?

jennie w: The past 2 times I wanted to go for short hair with low layers at the hair salon, but i only got layers on the "bang" section of hair and the rest was just flat at the bottom. The second time I showed a picture too and they were both different people.. what should I do?

Full-Time Dreamer: YOU HAIR IS BEAUTIFULL TT-TT you're perfect guuuurl<3

dayy journal: Hi, Penny, I need your help! I have long, curly hair, similar to yours but I can't get volume on the top of my head to save my life. I think it's because I don't really have layers but is there other ways to get volume? My hair grows so slow, I don't want to cut it if I don't have to. I've tried mousse, curl cream, oils, sprays, nothing helps, it falls flat after I take it down from drying (using the t-shirt technique). Ugh, so frustrating!

Penny Tovar: +gabby hairstyles It took my 3 years to grow my hair out :)
