Hey guys nationally here today, with a non tutorial, please non tutorial. This is not as a Toro. This gives me showing you the process of what I do to fill their quest, to see my hair straightened and to do a left check. So I deep condition my hair overnight and all I'm doing here is just preparing my hair for the blowout phase. All I did was just separate into two sections and yes, I did using heat protectant on. That is what I was basically dousing myself in earlier. I'M using the tension method, as you guys can see, and I'm just doing a speed up or it's a sped up kind of process, because I've done a video like more in-depth on this before which I'll leave below so yeah. I'M just gon na do these in small sections and I'm just going to show you guys. I got that I do the whole portion on that side. I just take all the hair, and then I just do the same thing and all I do is I just twist it up and then just throw it to the back and move on to the next section. So, after a while, I noticed that the heat protectant was a little drying on my hair, so I decided to go for my mango butter, moisturizing growth aid. So that's what you guys saw me just throw in there and they just actually helped to make. You know my hair a little bit softer to make it more shinier and just to make the process not as that now. One thing I will say is that I am impressed with this face of the whole process of trying to blow up my hair, because it looks like my hair is pretty much about the same length of what it used to be when my hair was colored, and That'S crazy because I cut my hair like last summer, so to see all this growth is kind of like wow, that really quick. So I'm going to show you guys, women flat-ironing! What this is the diamond. I can't read the rest of that, but I'll have it down below the Diamonds, something another flatiron. I will have all the information down below. So I'm just building my hair into two sections same thing like with the blowout. You just do the same repetitive, step over and over again, so I'm gon na be starting on small sections, and I thought this was pretty funny because I was going through this and I was combing through it. I was getting my heat protectant and then I realized that oh yeah, I'm showing the Flatiron. Yes, that is a flag and then I wasn't recording you guys can see. I already did that one strap but okay, here's the good stuff, so um yeah. What I'm doing right now is already combed it, and would you guys see me doing now is just going through the roots just to make sure I can get it kind of straight and I'm just taking my time with the flat iron. I know you guys are seeing a bit of steam coming from it, I'm using this some thermal heat protectant from Chi and it's actually like a spritz. So it's more like liquid, as opposed to a serum, so yeah there's some in here burning off or anything. That'S just like some of the liquid on my hair, which kind of concerns me now that I'm watching this video but yeah moving on everything is fine, like my hair is erased back to Coley right now and it's time so that's the first portion and that's what My hair looks like straight: I'm just gon na show you guys a little bit more of hair action, what I'm doing just getting it through the hair and all of that and I'm on my last portion here yeah. I gave up at some point. So this is the last step here and it's just me doing the upper portion, I'm letting everything out and you guys can see by my reaction. Why do I do this so yeah? This? Is it and yeah I'm trying my best and salvage? What we have here struggle ponytail yeah. So let's just hear my thoughts in this situation. Oh my god, but it's a neck! You all right! All right! I'M done here! Listen to my thoughts, okay, guys! So I think we're doing the voice-over and it is now. It is now 2:30 two in the morning. I'Ve started this at 10:57. You guys just usually want to see like a limb check of my hair. I haven't really straightened my hair, I'm like Oh, probably a year from like when I had to test out that other product, and this is exactly why I don't straighten my hair. It'S exactly why I like I. I don't know what to do with it. This ponytails, like stiff, is howling, look at that. That is terrible, so this is exactly the reason why I do not come on work with me. Work with me see. This is exactly the reason why I do not straighten my hair. This is the reason why I don't Flatiron blow it out for this particular reason, because I just feel like my hair is just I don't know, I don't know what, where it got so thick like my hair used to be kind of fine when I was relaxed So I don't know where all the thickness came from, but I am NOT going to risk any more heat damage or whoa. What I just said hold on I'm tired. I didn't say that no we're not risking anything because we're gon na pray, the Lord, that we are not damaged in anything but um yeah. This is basically the outcome guys you guys want to see like a left check or whatever um I was talking. I don't really care like as long as my hair is healthy. I don't care what month it is and that really stays the same um it seems like my hair is about the same length as when I last did a blowout like when I still have my color in it might actually be a little bit longer. To be honest, like they're sure, to have all right now isn't doing it justice. I think I might a bit, so you guys see what I mean. Let me change it sure really good. So I'm back with the better shirt, so you guys can see what I mean it looks like it might be a little bit longer. Maybe this thing: no, you know what it looks like. It is probably a little bit longer from the last time when I did decide to like you know straight high or whatever you guys can be the judge based on that video um. I think our not a straighter at this time around. I will say that and of course, due to my crazy, thick hair, this side is usually where my looser curl pattern is, and then this side over here is like my really kinky kind of you know pattern to it. So I'm not surprised that this side looks like it has a little bit more swing than this side over here. So yeah. I don't know you guys, can tell me so um, you don't know the crap that I had to go through. You were to record this video, but I like to please my viewers: don't believe that going up to the highest setting or a higher heat setting would help. I don't think so. I went to 370 the highest setting after that is for is it for undoing. Ya. Know 450 and I'm not doing 450 - I'm not here to get it bones shrink. So what I've had to do that? So, if I do once right here, I am just going to opt for, like you know the wigs. No! This is the front. It starts local right there, so it's past my chin at this point come on down here. Beside it comes down over here, it's like passing the collarbone other side is for the same thing, that's the collarbone and then for the back. This is the back. Do you guys see that you can click right down there, so it's gone out and that's cool but um. I look Mattie ball right. Try to like put some type of wall. What do you call it? Some bantu knots in it cuz again, I'm not really a fan of streak here, like even when I get my wigs. I don't really go for the straight unit. So listen I've been doing one there. Alright, that's cute, so I could do like a bun. Now that's pretty cute, so yeah, I'm probably just gon na like throw some pin curls or something in it. I have to try to wear this for a week. I don't even know if my hair is going to survive this for me, but it's probably gon na. Be sweated out by them, but I don't really carry so there you go guys. That is my video on my hair being straightened. I look hella tired and just not here so cut that the bed it's about to do a o'clock in the morning and all of that for what so you guys can. Let me know what you think. Of course, I'm pretty sure some of you will suggest some things, I'm being honest, I'm not really gon na hear it, because I know my hair and I've done this countless times professionally and at home, and it's always the same outlook. So please, let me know your thoughts anyway in the comments section. Thank you guys so much for watching, and I hope this difficult. The requests of you guys wanting to see my hair blown out and also straightened and um yeah I'll see you guys in the next video

Pattie laTaco: I feel the same way about straightening my hair, it doesn't like to be straight and I refuse to risk heat damage, not happening lol my boyfriend told me he liked my relaxed hair and I snapped on him, telling him I'm not relaxing or straightening my hair so get over it low key snapped but I didn't go three years without a relaxer just to relax again. Thanks for the vid nellz

Avery Bateman: Girl! My hair does the same thing. I have 4c textured hair, and for some reason- no matter how many times I blow it out (using the tension method) and straighten it (again, using the tension method)- my hair will just be stiff as a board with minimal movement. Idk, but good try! I love all of your videos! <3 Ms. Avery Baby

Kirsty Shawntae: You gotta use lightweight products. No butters. Just spray leave in, spray the heat protectant further away.

rayrayallday817: My hair is just like yours minus the length, (mine is shorter) but I always have the same results just about when flat ironing. I just leave it to a beautician to give me a silk press about once a year to get my ends trimmed lol. The beautiful textures natually straight did a decent job as well, not beautician straight, but better than me on a normal occasion. I love your videos!

Black Medusa 🖤: I straighten my hair and it puffed right back up like 30 min after. It just looked like a blowout but I rocked it anyways. Then I did things like braidouts and Bantu knots and it work out well.

Shaniyah D1981: The one pass silicone strip flat iron is awesome. But you can't weigh your hair down with oils and butters. A very light Heat protector will do but when wet spray at the most 2 to 3 pumps all over your head and rub or comb through because a little goes a long way. I personally let my hair air dry because I don't like too much heat so I don't bother with blow drying, but you don't wanna wait then set blow dryer setting on cool. Once dry, flat iron it with the one pass silicone iron and it's very silky. Try it. And I would like to see you do a video on it to see how you like it. BTW, the flat iron is called the red pro silicone protection. The one by kiss is about $30 but the one I have is $60 which is still a heck a lot cheaper than the babyliss pro nano which is close to the $200 range.

Roxanne: I would wash with silicone based products, it will add another layer of protection to the hair. Use a less heavy product that won't weigh your hair down and add too much grease to it. Tresemme's spray heat protectant is pretty good without stiffening the hair. Also, the method of blow drying can make a BIG difference, I notice that the tension method won't aid as much in the straightening process unless you plan to roller set afterwards to stretch your hair even more. Might want to try using a paddle brush. And lastly, I agree with the whole trim trim trim, to have more bounce and flow :)

rainbowbrite621: I feel the same way when I blow my hair out sometimes!!!!!

MyNaturalMyChoice: Thick healthy hair beautiful hair! Great progress!

Sarah Fears: I know this is different than your hair tutorials.. but can you do a everyday makeup tutorial, please? thank you! :)

Ra _: thanks for mentioning the tension method....never heard of it but it looks easier to do....I hate brushing or combing while blow drying

ISayToMyself: Yah. When I went natural I basically had to kiss straight hair good bye. My natural hair just doesn't like to be straight. Takes too long for results that aren't sleek and don't last. Your edges are amazingly thick and healthy. Thanks for sharing.

Conquering.Chronic.Illness: Don't blow dry from soaking wet hair. I normally use a cream heat protectant on my wet hair. Braid my hair tightly (medium to small braids) and let it air dry to about 90% (however long that takes). Then I blow with a a oil heat Protestant. If you want sleek moveable hair ditch the leave in conditioners, moisturizers, and styling creams. And don't get heavy handed with the protectants either. They make my hair stiff, and that may be what's ailing you. Hair type 3c - 4b (seriously), super thick, low porosity (I think. I always get low and high confused. Whichever takes forever to dry.)

Colleen Marie: I made a great video on straightening 4b hair. Hopefully it'll help next time you decide to straighten!

Erika Dee: It has a lot to do with the products you use and the technique. You should use a shampoo for frizz reduction. I use John freida. Also, use argon oil as a heat protectant but be careful not to put too much because it can weigh your hair down.

mia Smith: You should try blowdrying with a denman or paddle brush. My hair is very thick but it doesn't take very long When I do 4 sections and split each section in half. It helps get my hair and ends pretty straight so that When I flat iron I get a smooth result from root to tip with lots of movement. And you should def try using a spray heat protectent that has coconut or argon oil in it and blow dry it into your hair so that way it's sealed into your hair and it won't weigh Your hair down!

Stephanie Burke: When was the last time you had the ends dusted? I think if you dusted or clipped the ends it wouldn't be so stiff when looking for that bounce after you blow it out and straightened it out...

Tiffany: just a suggestion, maybe you can try letting it air dry because I have the same texture as you and I find that air drying help and also I tried the beautiful textures texture manageability kit and I works wonders for straightening your hair, no it is not a perm either. so I recommend because I feel your pain

aria corryn: I have 3c hair and my hair looks the EXACT same way whenever *I* straighten my hair. It flows when I get it professionally done lol

summer Oliphant: It' maybe the mango butter that weighs it down after the heat.. I used bio silk and it was awesome ..

Shaniyah D1981: Also try a banana conditioner (diy). I mix a one ripe banana table spoon of neem powder (not the oil because it's stinky) about two table spoons of coconut oil, olive oil (same measurements) and aloe vera gel (using the plant works better to me ) blend it in your blender (which ever kind you have) and apply this to clean hair. Let sit on hair for 30mins to an hour. Then wash out using your favorite shampoo and condition like normal ( I also add the neem powder to my shampoos and conditioners). And I'm telling you it flat irons like silk afterwards.

Ashley Opal: I love, love, love your hair!

Fyusha: The trick to straightened hair is to not try to keep it straight once it starts to look less amazing you braid it and unbraid to make it wake and just work that till you are ready to go back to curly

DWBehindTheLens: You crack me up! I can't ever get mine to look how my beautician does. Lol

P: This is why I hate straightening my own 4c hair too I end up putting it in an ugly ponytail the struggle lol

Chantel Watkins: Same thing that happened to my hair when I flat iron it.

memphisdime88: Put some curls in it,can curl it with a curling iron then pin curl it or use rollers. Or lightly mist it and put in some rollers in, might give you some movement and body. Hope it helped, don't want the process to be complete waist for you.

Linda Lynn: All that matters is that you kept your word and you came through for the folks who wanted to see this type of video from you. Brush your shoulders off girl! You still wore a smile!

Shellie Powers: Please do heatless wand curls while your hair is stretched out!!

crybaby_dia: Exactly what happens when I straighten it.

NothingLikeTheSun FNV: Try using the 'Vidal Sassoon Shine Envy Titanium Plates', hair straightener -on a moderate heat setting... The result would be much better and longer lasting...

Jasmineshairboutique: Your blow dry routine is what makes it either bouncy or stiff and also the products and flat iron

Princess Ren: You gotta use a stripping shampoo before you deep condition, your hair should be making that weird squeaking noise, and use spray leave-in, nothing heavy, I can get my hair silk pressed and bouncy by using those two methods together

NovaaKane: you should try using a tiny bit of Coconut oil as a heat protector instead of a sprits. it will make it soft & shiny without making it stiff. idk lol It works for me because my hair reacts the same way when I use a store bought heat protector so I had to change it up.

Alexandria: Love ur personality. Great video

SanAndrea X: your hair is so pretty and thick but try chasing the flat iron for with a fine tooth comb so the hair will separate better and your hair will be straighter, it also helps so you won't have to go over your hair so much with the flat iron. I also think you need a really good professional trim. you probably won't care for my opinion like you said but it's all with good intentions!

SWEETGA BROWNIN: What do you mean? Your hair looks gorgeous, so nice and full. I love it natural or flat ironed

Chin94: Lol I loved your honesty in this video

Jazzy Unplugged: Lol this is what happens when I try to straighten my hair

Shaleah Pickett: when i flat iron my hair i shampoo and condition it the nitght before and leave the conditioner in over night then the next day i rinse out the conditioner and put some oil in my hair so when i straighten it it'll be shiny and soft then i blow dry it with a big comb to get it as straight as i can and to dry it then i take small sections and straighten it. but i wouldn't listen to me cause im only 13 but this is how i grew up straightening my hair.

TheyloveCarrie23: biggest reason why i dont straighten my hair

Gayle Friend: Let me tell you; it starts with a GOOD hair dryer! A stylist initially was trying to blow my hair straight with a raggedy dryer, and I could tell my hair was getting stiff, dry and flakey. I asked the stylist to stop and find a better dryer in the salon. She came back to the chair with a Babyliss Red dryer, and the outcome was completely different. My hair was silky, not stiff and flowing all over the place.  I know it's the dryer you use, because when I used to suffer the same effects even when I had relaxed hair and would opt to use those cheap flat hair dryers with the comb attachments from Walmart and Sally's.  Even if you don't want to invest in a Babyliss dryer, I would suggest at least buying any brand of ionic hair dryer.

Hazel Chioma: Maybe the sections wasn't small enough. That's usually the problem when it's puffy.

repostme: I feel you my hair is extremely thick

Muslissa: Deep conditioning with a silicone deep conditioner makes the hair less stiff and more flowy.

NaturallyMe: Omg, I ho thru the same thing. I just stopped trying. Too much work for the crappy results. My hair only get Straight if someone else does it for me.

SerenityMoonVA: I really hate that CHI spritz, it makes my hair feel like I slathered gel all over it

Brii Rene: Your reaction it's okay girl !

MaiWorld 2 yourworld: New sub. You have lovely thick hair!

Skarlet Brown: it's so pretty and thick omg. I'm probably the same exact length

Shadae Henderson: Try perm rods or Bantu knots to keep it longer

Panicatthejazz: Your reaction is funny lol the struggle of thick hair it'll be okay.

N Mills: i think maybe you didnt stretch your hair enough before hand . i felt i could tell before you even started straightening it wasnt ganna workout . idk but i feel like before flat ironing try to get your hair as straight as possible . the flat iron should give it that final smoothness . but im no stylist lol

- 𝘿.𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙨 -: You are too funny! Thanks for sharing love

TressesOfAlexis: I. Just. Can't. Get. With. The. Tension. Method it takes entirely too long on my thick ass hair lol.

ComeAtMeBro: Love it

Nik Lovely: If you use the olive oil oil sheen spray it certainly gives you shine, sleekness and body. In addition if you used a hard brush to chase the flat iron you would have got a straighter sleeker full look... lol just keep trying tho

Desimonet: u need to clip ur ends and use lighter products in your hair when straightening your hair

Nikki Philips: It's your technique but as you don't wear your hair straight often I wouldn't worry

s katie: I had the same problem as far as it not being straight enough the next time I did it I bought one of those super soft bristle brushes and hair gets super straight at 350

prettyinpink9893: this is why I don't straighten my hair either lol

GiftedChica242: Lmaoooo I love your personality!

s katie: And argon oil helps my hair too

ImJustJackie: I'm going to try and straighten mine one more time...if it comes out stiff ....next time salon

A: TITANIUM !!! YOU NEED TO GET YOURSELF SOME TITANIUM PLATED FLAT IRONS! I don't think it's the products that weighed your hair down (could be but I doubt it) but the type of flat iron a person uses is also very important! My hair would do the same (not move, stiff etc.) until I got a titanium flat iron. Yes it's a bit expensive but it's Soooooo worth it and the material is great instead of ceramic for Afro textured hair. I got the babyliss pro 1" 1/4 inch and it's amazing works wonders check it out if you get a chance you have such great hair DONT GIVE UP on a straight style every so often for a switch up

OOFnitsu: Love The Videos Boo

ESOTERICMELANINQUEEN: ......."struggle pony tail!" That was hilarious! :)

Ebony Lashawn: How i felt the first time i tried to straighten my hair, did not come out the way expected, my hair is so thick now. But one day i am going to try mo knows hair silk roller wrap straightened method and see if that helps me get my hair straight.

Imani: if you used a dryer with a comb attachment and not as much product it'll wouldn't be that heavy feeling and looking

Celine Fri: I have the same issue! Smh, the struggle

marquita83: your hair grew a lot! lol @ the struggle pony tail comment you are a mess,  girl its cool please i dont like straight hair anymore no way i dont think i will ever flat iron my hair because i think the same thing may happen it will be stiff lol smh a mess, but i like the bun thats cute, yea some bantu knots would look nice!! tfs!

Beat By Derris: You should've just thrown some tiny wand curls in there.

Celeste Simmons: Good morning mznaturallynellzy. I have been naturalist for about a year now......well this pass may I recently had a birthday and decided to throw your infamous red hair color on my hair. It was going great til about 3 weeks ago.....now all I have is dry damaged hair... I really don't know what to do besides cutting it and starting back over. ANY SUGGESTIONS???? P.S. I ALSO AM HAVING TROUBLE FINDING A REALLY NICE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER.

Quill L: pin it up buttercup....amazing progress.

talltalllady: You've probably never heard this before, but you remind me of Dawn Lewis aka Jahlisa from A Different World :)

IssaJ: You should probably wrap the hair and leave it wrapped over night and then brush it out. Or do a roller set on it. Nevertheless it looks great to me :)

Ashley T.: Too much product and you need to try a higher heat setting and the chase method! It should work

Panicatthejazz: You're welcome :)

Rania Chiha: You're so cute !! I wish i could play with your straight hair !! You're so so cute !!

fran maultsby: It's nothing wrong with your hair it just because it not train enough yet to hve like that bouncy type of hair cuz ur hair Ben in its natural texture for so long it hve to get use of the heat again that all its is I no I experienced that an now my hair is bouncy n soft an not stiff

repostme: And my ponytail is stiff also

She a Real Savage 1979: need that 450 heat and cut them ends and light oil...u look cute with both curly and straight hair but the oil and 450 heat looks more professional ...

Kiara Wyatt Bradford: The ponytail is stiff as hell LOL

Kaileb Elijah: It's the amount of product you put on your hair

Alexcia France: Chi flat irons are the best

BeautyEffect: your hair is in dyer need of a trim. Your styles will continue to fail and your hair will keep breaking until you trim it

wanna benatural: Thanks

Jasmineshairboutique: Also if your ends are bad it won't be silky

Olive Williamson: my hair is the same

Brandi’s Dream land: Try old school hot comb the flat iron that helps me

JesusIsLoveTR: Same!

Nicholas Hendricks: i want do it

lita.: Who’s watching in 2018?
