Petkit Cozy Smart House Review | Meet Our New British Shorthair Cat!

Tell me a bit about hugo, so higo is a one and a half year old british shorthair. We wanted to get a different breed from our previous cats before we had persian chinchillas and we always wanted to get british short hair and also i've got three-year-old and we didn't want to have kittens so we decided to get an adult cat. Hugo'S personality is amazing. He is really calm, he's not scratching any furniture, so we're not worried about that at all he's going around the house, so we adopted him and a special shout out and thank you to the previous owner yasmin, who we adopted, hugo from and yeah just a disclosure. His previous name was ollie, so he changed it to hugo, but he's uh he's extremely well behaved to be fair, like there's nothing negative, and i can also imagine um. The pain uh previous owner must have gone through by rehoming him because we're going through the same experience and it was um, it was really sad but um. I really hope we look after hugo um, and you know this. Our house is his forever has um. So we're trying to spoil him with all sorts of things and and we're in love with him he's really calm and um. The fact that he comes to you for petting is so nice and, like he's not a laugh cat, you can't put him like hold him and put him in your lap. He will come to you, but he will sit next to you and be like at me or if you're in the bed he will come and sleep next to you. So i'm in love with hugo malcolm is in love with hugo um. So we decided to let's go back to the smart house, so we decided to get him something where he's very comfortable it. We don't have to worry about him getting cold or hot in summers. It'S really hot here, um in london. Right now the temperature is like 26 28.. So obviously i can't get him an air conditioning system, so we just we decided um to get him this house, which is effectively an air-conditioned cat house yeah according to dammit um, so guys um, you will i'm gon na open the box and i'm gon na show You guys how it exactly looks like, and i'm also going to show you how hugo is going to react towards it. I really hope he likes his new house. So melvin you go, do a review for us go and talk to us? Okay, whose house is this girl, okay, people's house? Okay, and who are you guys watching? So what's in the box, i'm not coming in the video guys, because my face is swollen. This air conditioning system guys um, obviously there's a mains plug um. It looks like a pretty long, cable um. You want to show it to us. Okay show it to us. What is this? That'S all right, it's not very long! I think it's a meter where we want to put. I think you should be fine. Then we have this. I think this is the whole motor which kind of cools it down and keeps it warm as well. So we got a book in there, so this is how you connect it i'll show. So i think you link it to your phone and effectively once you set it up. Look you can connect, see that pad the unit soft pad inside and effectively the end goal is, i think you get your phone and you can control it with your phone. Yes, let's open this, i'm more excited about this um. I also heard that you can't keep a cushion in there yeah, that's true, because it's got its own pad, so it's got its own pad so guys, because then it um kind of contradicts with um cooling system and the warm system as well. So it's pretty sleek and quite modern, very modern, okay. So that's the cushion in there. Let'S have a look inside. So inside is the mechanism, it's um, pretty spacious, for the cat. So this is not really a cushion it's not very soft or anything. It'S like very thin, but i'm not sure if but cats normally like places which are warm so instead of getting heat pad. You can just imagine like this is like a heat pad um. I think it will go like this with the p-e-t k-i-t pad kit, so this is it guys and then i think um. This is the like this. It goes in no, this one will go in there, so the mains cable will go in there. It says pretty simple guys and then i think this has gone in properly and then you plug this into a plug-in over there and then you test it out so guys we are just downloading the app always connecting to the pet cozy house and yeah. Sorry for the slight downgrading video we just switched cameras guys. The bed is finally connected already and we've got the app connected to it as well. So at the moment you can see it's giving you some information on what the current temperature is. So it's 25, as you see it's extremely hot, it's trying to aim for a target temperature 24 and it also tells you how long it would take to get there so seven minutes currently showing now you what you can do is you can set an auto. So you automatically make sure that you know the temperature goes up and down or if you want, you can manually, select what temperature you want. So you can turn it down all the way to 10 or you can increase all the way to 42 inches yeah. You should never really hardly appreciate all of this, so let's cool it down and it says the current ambiance too higher you choose under so basically it kind of warns. You, though, if you go to such a low uh temperature, it kind of warns you as well that you know don't go so low so again we're setting it 10 just to kind of see if it does cool down. If the ac system works and yeah, hopefully he was going to like it right now. I'M thinking like we spray some catnip in there to get him to like, while going he's behind the sofa. I thought he's gon na go in, but he just he will pass. Let me spray some catnip and see if he goes in, so we just got hugo he's currently inspecting what this is. Let'S see if he goes in, we have put some catnip in there. So again we are trying to trick him he's very happy and excited he likes it. Oh you better appreciate yeah and this use it as well. So, okay, let's discuss the price point, so this is 135 pounds so um it is 135 pounds yes, but we were looking at other beds which are like 40 to 60 pounds like normal beds for cats and we decided to invest in something which is like, obviously, Good in terms of weather as well, because they are all other beds, look really warm so um. That'S why that's the reason we spent that sort of money, because we wanted him to stay cool in winter, in summers and warm in winters um. I think he started to like it um you can order this online guys um. So we we got it from argos yeah. We got it from argos, but yeah you can order it from all major retailers, even pets at home. I think salad and uh yeah. You can get it from most places. I think it's a good investment. Look if you're going to spend 40 50 60 pounds on a normal, you know so just pushed in bed, it's not worth it! You might as well spend slightly more and the hassle of cleaning it putting in the washing cleaning and the maintenance and then getting these pads separately yeah for 20 30 pounds again you're gon na get to this, and it looks very smart guys. It looks very stylish. You know this is something we can put. Our house has like a white and grey theme, so we can put this in any room and it will go quite nicely now that you know you played around with the pet kid hugo hugo's kind of sniffed a smile there. So, what's your view on this product um, i really like um the overall look of this smart house, because it's very sleek, very modern and my cat kind of liked it he did go in and sat in there for two three minutes um. Obviously, it's gon na take him some time, so i can't really say he loved it, but i think he liked it um, because it's quite cozy and cats do like things which are like closed up spaces, so i think he's gon na love it hopefully, but i Think um it's an amazing um home for your cat. So when i touched it it was really cold, so the pad itself gets really cold. The temperature was 18 degrees, but now we have put the temperature up to 24, so it's getting warmer um and i presume cats do like even in summers they do like warm places. So i think he's gon na be really happy. If we keep the temperatures towards 20 or 25 degrees, so that's pretty much about it, guys um! This is the end of this video.
