Let'S talk about one of the best words when it comes to describing a wavy curly wash day, plop plop all right now that you're thoroughly tired of hearing the word plop we're gon na talk more about it. So the reason i'm making this video is that a long time ago i originally made a plopping video talking about several different ways to plop wavy curly hair. But since that time it seems that we kind of gotten some semantics twisted and when i am describing the method and technique i'm using to plot my hair, there's a little bit of confusion. So we're going to cover not one, not two but six different ways to plop your hair, but first off, let's talk about what plopping is plopping is what you do right after you are done, washing conditioning and styling your wavy curly hair. It is usually the time where you start removing some of the excess water from your hair and the drying process has begun. So these are just different ways to kind of start drying your hair, because when we start taking really good care of our waves and curls, we no longer use a terrycloth towel and put our hair up in a turban like so to dry. Our hair, the terry cloth, causes way too much friction roughening up the hair cuticle and while the hair is wet, potentially damaging, it also keep in mind. I am talking about six different ways to plop your hair, but there are many, many more and finding the right method, for you is kind of like finding the right pair of jeans, you gots to try on a lot of pairs before you find your fit. So this is just meant to be helpful to you. It'S meant to give you more information to make your life easier. Perhaps you've been using one method of plopping, your hair, that isn't best suited for your hair type. So there we go if you want to hang out with me, some more go ahead and subscribe and click that notification bell. Also, if this video is helpful to you, please give it a thumbs up and share it. It really does help me out, and it lets me know that the video accomplished its purpose. My whole reason for being here is to be as helpful as humanly possible. So let me know if i was helpful all right before i get into showing you all the different methods of plopping hair. Let'S talk about, what's going on with my hair right now, this is what my hair looks like washed conditioned and air dried, absolutely no product. In my hair, not even leave-in, i know i don't usually recommend going without a leaving conditioner in your hair, even if you're planning on going completely product free, but my hair was needing nothing on it, so my hair is very prone to being over moisturized over conditioned. So, that's why i didn't do a leave-in, but do not recommend, even if you are going product free use, a leave-in. Okay cool do, as i say, not as i do wow, but also this is my hair with no plopping whatsoever, just cleansed conditioned and air dried. Let me turn around and show you exactly what it's looking like without plopping. It is a very humid day here in texas we got spring showers, hopefully it'll bring some may flowers and because there's so much humidity in the air, my hair is having a lot more wave and bend to it than it does. Sometimes, when i air dry and go product free, but i thought it would be fun to compare no plopping product free, hair, no product interfering with how the results come out and hair that has been plopped and diffused product free. All right, i'm gon na go wash my hair and i'll be right back to show you all the ways to plop your hair. Alright, i'm cheating a little bit because i'm already doing the first method of plopping that i want to show y'all. This is called wet. Plopping, this method of plopping is really magical and really good, and i don't think enough. People try it out, so i'm dripping all over myself. I did not put this on very well. It'S going down my neck, but what i did is i shampooed. My hair did a really good, thorough, squish chicken dish where i really spent some time giving my hair some good, hydration and love. Then i thoroughly rinsed out my conditioner gave my hair another good scrunch, like i normally do, and all i did was to tuck and put my hair up into this shower cap. This method of plopping does kind of gently scrunch and hold your waves and curls in place, while not removing any of the water from your hair. If you have really really high porosity hair, if you find that your hair and curl clumps really break up very easily and you get a lot of wet frizz when plopping or you are within the first six months of starting to wear your waves and curls on Your healthy hair journey, i highly recommend this method of plopping your hair. It gives your hair time to really soak up all of your leave-in conditioner, your stylers, and it allows your curl clumps to get really big and juicy. Now there are some downfalls to this method of plopping your hair, and that is that your hair will take forever to dry because you are not removing any of the water from your hair. Now, if your diffuse time tends to be really really short, let's say you have really low density, hair or very high porosity hair. You may not find that the increased diffuse time is an inconvenience to you, but if you have very very long high density thick hair, this might just make your wash days a marathon. It might just make your wash days a marathon if you find that product really wants to sit on top of your hair and not absorb into your hair. You might also try this giving your hair just a little bit more time to soak up leave-in and stylers is amazing. Now i personally cannot take off the wet plop and go into diffusing my hair there's just no way it would be a drippy wet mess. I'M pretty sure i would fry my hair dryer, my diffuser, because there would just be water going everywhere. So i'm going to show you how i put on this plop and then i'm going to show you the next step that i use on days. When i choose to wet pot, my hair, i choose to still wet plop my hair on days when i really want to encourage some serious curl, clumpage, okay, cool all right. Let me show you how i knew this come down here. There we go so after i am done, shampooing conditioning and applying stylers i grab. This is a reusable shower cap. I got in a gift set eons ago, but you could use any plastic shower. Cap reusable shower cap plastic, shower cap i'll, have several linked in the description down below for you to check out what i like to do is start on one side and then gently gather on the other, and there you have it. Sometimes i will push it up. So that my ears are out now, let's say i've, let this wet plop sit on my head for about 10 to 20 minutes. That'S about the sweet spot for allowing my hair to soak up all the stylers and leave-in conditionery goodness. It also allows me to get out of the bathtub or shower and get dressed, maybe wash my face. I really like washing my face after i apply all my stylers because sometimes there's some ingredients that are really good for my hair in my hair care. But it's not good for my sensitive face and it breaks me out. So if i wash my face, while i'm popping my hair, that's a good thing. This allows me to do that, and today it's extra drippy, it's not normally this drippy but get dressed wash my face. Then i can go into diffusing alright. This is what i do next, once i'm ready to diffuse my hair on a day that i have wet plopped, i will do something that has been called a micro plop. Basically, this is just scrunching, your hair, with a microfiber towel or t-shirt to remove some of the excess water. This is actually a scrunching towel from the perfect hair care. I don't personally love microfiber towels that you get like that dry, your car, or that you use for cleaning because they grab and cling to every single dry flake on my hand and i'm thinking. If it's doing that, to my hand, it's going to be grabbing and clinging to every little lifted, hair cuticle on my hair, so for me i prefer a microfiber towel. That'S really really smooth that feels like t-shirt material, but also has the absorbency of microfiber. That'S why? I like these okay micro plop, you gently scoop and scrunch, there's no pulsing, there's no violent scrunching happening. It'S just very, very gentle, think ringing the water out of your hair. This method worked really really really well. For me, when my hair was in transition - and i did not have really good curl memory in my hair micro plopping - worked way better than the traditional dry plopping, which i'm about to show you, so that is micro, popping i'm keeping all my hair forward. So my wet hair doesn't touch my shirt, but let me show you the next method of flopping all right. This next method of plopping is what i like to call traditional, plopping or dry plopping, meaning that you are using a dry piece of fabric to dry. Your hair a little bit this method is where we're going to be removing some of the water from our hair. Some people say dry plopping is where you plop your hair when it's 100 dry. Sometimes i call this dry plopping to distinguish it from wet flopping. Some people call all of this wet plopping because our hair is wet anyway. I'M explaining the semantics that i use the terms that i use so hopefully i don't confuse people all right, i'm going to show you how to do a pull up with a cotton t-shirt. This is actually one that i stole from my husband. Shh. Don'T tell him it's okay, he doesn't watch my videos. I have got the neck hole on this side got the sleeves on the opposite side. For me, i'm going to fold up one side and i like to fold down the neck just a bit. Then i take all my hair. Take it forward and plop it into the shirt this then i'm going to fold up the back, keep everything nice and tight and tie the sleeves here in the front, and this will gently remove some of the water from my hair. I don't use this particular method anymore, because i actually like using the perfect hair care towel. I will explain that more later, but this can be one of the most cost-effective ways to start embracing your waves and curls. You don't have to run out and purchase anything. You just grab something that's already in your closet, so there you go. That'S one way to dry plop your hair. Now i'm going to show you another now. This is the perfect hair care towel. It'S a microfiber towel. I'Ve had this for a year year and a half maybe longer, and they wash and wear beautifully they're. Very gentle i travel with these life is a very good good. Life is very good when i use this. So, let's say, for whatever reason you didn't purchase this particular towel: that has the closure, i'm going to show you one way to plop your hair. There are also other towels out there that don't have this kind of closure, but that are the same giant rectangular shape. So what i do i plop my hair in the middle gather up the back. Then i gather up the front, grab two pigtails twist and tie that's one way to plop your hair, but i'm going to show you my last and my most favorite way to plot my hair. Now that my hair is out of transition, i find that my curl clumps and curl families are a little bit more resilient they're, not constantly trying to break apart. So i don't always wet plop and micro plop anymore, because my hair will stay together a little bit better. So here is courtney's certified favorite way to plop waves and curls. I put the towel out in front of me like so i have this little closure away from me. I pull up my hair hold on. Let'S make sure that's in the middle there we go. I plop my hair right in the middle. Then i grab the closure and put the closure at the nape of my neck. Then i really pinch everything right here in front on my forehead and then i just grab all the excess fabric right there in front give myself a nice twist. So i look like a unicorn, then i tuck everything the excess in this back part right here. There are other ways of tying this towel, but this is my favorite. The reason i like doing it this way. So much is, i feel like it, doesn't really crush. My hair to the top of my head, there's some room up here for the curls to have their shape, while also really drying my hair. Well, so anyway, there you have it. There are several different methods of plopping, your hair, the one that i haven't showed you today is net plopping, simply because i don't have any fishnet hose, but you basically pull up your hair in some fishnets and allow your hair to dry. That way, it really holds your hair in place and also has really good air circulation, because it's fishnet hose so yeah there you go i'm going to let this sit on my head for about 10 to 20 minutes. If i plop my hair too long, i find that it creates some wonky curls if you're prone to wonky waves and curls, don't leave this on too long. Also, i personally don't recommend plopping your hair like this overnight, while it's damp, because warm moist dark environments are breeding grounds for nasties buggies fungus bacteria. That kind of thing you can sleep with your hair, wet and in the plop. If you want to, i, just personally am not going to do that so there you go all right, i'm going to let this sit for 10 to 20 minutes diffuse, my hair, and i will be back to show you the difference between unplopped hair with no product. In it and hair that has been plopped to see, if there's a big difference, all right here we are here is my hair 100 dry after plopping and honestly, i didn't even diffuse all that much. I realized that i air dried, my product free hair at the beginning of the video, so it wouldn't be completely fair if i showed up with plopped and diffused hair, so i did air dry most of the way i just hit it with the diffuser for, like A little bit to finish up the drying, but anyway here are my results with my hair dry and out of the plop and diffuse and all that stuff, pretty big difference, huh, it's crazy! How much a small change in technique can yield such big changes in results? For me, a dry plop is when your hair is soaking, wet and you're, using something like a t-shirt or microfiber towel to slightly dry. It that's my version of a dry plop and a wet plop. In my mind, is when you are not removing any of the water. You have soaking wet, hair and you're using a shower cap to flop. Your hair micro plop is when you gently scrunch out or wring out the excess water from your hair and, as demonstrated by this video, there is a big big difference between not plopping your hair and plopping your hair. Alright guys, i hope you are having an absolutely fantastic day and i will talk to y'all later bye and, yes, there really isn't any product in my hair. How wild is that? I was not expecting the difference to be that big, all right, bye,

Nemie Miller: You have gorgeous hair with without styling! Healthy, shiny and just beautiful!

Terry: Your hair without your usual products and including not plopping STILL looks healthy, shiny, and beautiful! All of your hard work to take care of your hair has definitely paid off even when you don't use your regular routine! Lovely!

prue winnefred: I went to a job interview and the interviewer literally told me to go to the bathroom and fix my hair (I have no ac in my car) florida humidity plus hispanic curly hair =...you do the math. The thing is it was already up in a bun so...not much to do. I remember in high school kids saying they wanted to attack my hair with a straightener. Im so happy I found your channel ❤ never getting rid of my curly hair

Gabriela Vincent: Thank you so much for making this video. I have been working on my hair for a couple of years. My hair is 2b-3a thick, corse, wiry, unruly , uneven, dry frizzbomb. For years I have tried everything silk pillow, silk bonnet, tried following the CGM, used good products, tried many different methods and combinations, perfect towel, you name it. My hair soaks up moisture and loses it just as quickly. Small amounts of protein are ok, but anything more it was even more dry and brittle. I’ve always had to hydrate daily, at least wet and condition daily. I stopped dying or using heat on my hair over 5 years ago to let my silver start to shine. I had never seen the wet plop method, I tried that today, it has made a world of difference. Absorbs all the good stuff I put on it, it clumps and stays that way. I have never seen my hair look the way it looks today. I can’t believe it. I just wanted to come on here and express my gratitude. You have led me through a journey. Thank you so much for doing what you do.

LadyKC67: Instead of paying for a t-shirt type of towel, I went to the baby section of my local Goodwill and bought receiving blankets for cheap and they work GREAT. They’re a good size too. Just make sure you get ones made out of t-shirt material.

Geneva W. Mixon: It would be fascinating to see different ploppiing method end results using the same stylers.....I adore you hair experiments. You channel has really helped me to gain confidence about my hair. ♥️

Tracy: Thank you for the inspiration to try plopping again Courtney. I tried plopping early in my journey to healthier hair but it just didn’t work for me - my hair would dry funky and I didn’t see any improvement in clumping. But I’m much farther down the road now. I’ve been plopping again since watching this and it’s made a big difference in my clumps staying intact while I air dry.

Kayla H: When I get out of the shower, while my hair is soaking wet, I take the end of a rattail comb and I poke around my hair and lift the hair off my scalp. My hair tends to plaster to my head and if I don't do this before plopping, then it sticks and I get no volume. This does cause quite a bit of water to drip, so then what I do is spray my hair with water before or plopping so then I can easily apply project and still have the squishy sound & clumps. I have very fine, 2b/2c hair and it dries very easily. I recommend this to anyone who gets hair plastered to their head after getting out of the shower.

RvrGrl80: I cannot tell you how helpful your videos have been for me. Just starting my wavy journey but you have made it so much easier.

IrishRose.: I wet plopped my hair after reading your Instagram post the other day and I love the results! I'm definitely doing it from now on.

hellsbails: Starting my wavy hair journey and the micro plop I think will be my saving grace because last night it took forever for my hair to dry with a diffuser haha. Thank you for all of the info!

kryki_cha: I just recently went back and watched your video where your husband does your voiceover. I cannot ever see the perfect haircare towel and not think "expensive black rag". I woke my husband up by randomly laughing at that line in the middle of the night.

Kelsey Raposa: Thank you for clarifying! I’m new to doing my hair this way. I appreciate all of your help!❤️

Rachel Fouts: This was so helpful! I've been struggling with the perfect haircare towel. Can't wait to try it.

Ruby Blue: Thank you for this! I’m coming up my second official curly wash day, and I low-key messed up my first with the aftercare, fingers crossed!

Lore Carreras: Hey Courtney!! I really like your videos. I have been doing the CGM for two years now and the change is unbeliable :) but i have a question: I dont usually plop bc my hairline disappears into the wilderness (i mean, i cant define a straight line across my hair) and it looks weird. Any advice?

Tracy: Because I have bangs that get wonky with traditional dry plopping I’ve been micro plopping with my perfect haircare towel. I hold each section about 90 seconds, which does help a lot with my clumping, but my diffusing time is still pretty long and I don’t get much root volume. Now I’m curious to try dry plopping for 10-20 minutes and just deal with bang situation separately.

Julie Bruce: Great explanations! I use the perfect Haircare towel with “pigtails” also but I just gather them in the drawstring I know people also wet plop with fishnets or a hairnet to help it dry as well. Have you ever tried it?

K. Souzon: Thank you so much for this video! My PHC towel’s loop snapped and I haven’t had time to purchase a new one, so finding a different way to tie the towel is a lifesaver. Micro-plopping is my favorite way to plop my waves and curls though.

Chrystal Thornton: I'm having a really good hair day (for me). I look like a water spaniel as opposed to a Hogwart's student.

A LT: I love the volume I get from plopping but all the hair product runs to my scalp, it makes my roots greasy and my scalp itchy. Microplopping works better but not as much volume I love your waves in this video! You legit have model hair my son has the same waves and I’m so jealous of how effortless they look.

Vanessa Malik: Hey Courtney, Great video! Have you ever tried the scrunching microfiber gloves? Based on your definitions, I think they would be used for micro plopping. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!

Candace Roberts: Thank you for this! I'm going to try the wet plopping method because my hair has no idea what curl clumps are I get beautiful waves and curls but they are a stringy separated mess.

Nuralia Mazlan: I found this video useful. my hair is similar like yours when it's dried w no product but with more frizz. the first time I plop, my hair turned very wavy-ish (between 2a/2b?) so that's very surprising for someone who has been "straight passing" her entire life lmao. tbh, it made me feel like such a poser, cuz I thought...well maybe its like that cuz if you put your hair in plop like that, it definitely would be wavy/curly right? until I started to regularly plop, my hair ACTUALLY remain that style for entire day. I feel like I have been duped my entire life thinking I have straight hair. My hair disagree and now I identify as the wavy girl lol. Also learn not to brush my hair unless I want a lion mane from all the frizz.

adventures in family building: I have really enjoyed your videos. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into these.

STORMSHlELD: I love your videos! They are sooo helpful. When you wet plop do you put all your stylers in first and then put it in the plop? How long do you leave it in the plop?

J Britt: I'd love to see another more recent diffusing hair video! This one was helpful too.

Terrie Redmond: I love that you stole your husband's t-shirt for this! I did the same! I stole a Calvin Klein t-shirt my hubby loved but it is SUCH a perfect fabric! It's so soft, perfectly stretchy and is thick enough for sleeping with my wet hair after it's wet plopped and I can scrunch and diffuse in the am and be out the door in legit 10 minutes after getting out of bed! Which is clutch because I have to be in the office by 6:45am! I do like my perfect haircare towel (I have 2, bought the perfect haircare towel with the brush, one set lives in my travel toiletry bag) but t-shirt is just a bit thicker and gets it drier faster! I keep editing my comment as I go through the video! I just have to comment on the "warm moist dark" RE overnight, my sleeping temp is 57 degrees Fahrenheit! ❄️

Jessica Sopolis: I just discovered the wet plop n it works perfectly for me! I love it! Less frizz, more definition AND volume! N it keeps the hair out of my face when i do my skin care and get dressed! I actually wet plop after micro plopping with a t shirt! I find that the wet plop after micro plopping actually speeds up my dry time! I wet plop a total of around 15 mins. Xo

Jenn Leah: IMO you're using the different plopping types correctly Wet plopping means you're plopping to keep wet, dry plopping is plopping to dry. Just like you said. I personally "wet plop" only with my leave in, in order to do skincare, get dressed, etc, without any drying happening AND to let the leave in soak into my hair. Other stylers I apply after removing the wet plop

strngenchantedgirl: I love the curl I get from plopping but I can’t stand how cow-licky my hair gets from plopping and upside down styling.

Miss Joy: Courtney, have you ever considered doing makeup tutorials / recommending makeup brands? I would watch, your makeup always looks so good!! :)

Brandi Schoch: I've tried plopping and it's a no go for me. I realized when I tried it few times my scalp was terribly itchy. All the product dripping onto my scalp made it very unhappy. I just use my perfect hair care towel to gently wrap my hair much like I did with a terry towel before. So my hair is gently wrapped but not dripping onto my scalp, only for as long as it takes me to do my skin care and get dressed then it comes off right away and I air dry. Thankfully my mermaid waves seem to stay. My scalp just can't stand product on it. Shampoo is for my scalp and the rest is for my hair so i don't usually apply anything else to my scalp. Unless I'm using the curlsmith scalp line but even that conditioner is use sparingly.

Megan Rarick: Girl do you even need products?!!! Look at those no product curls! If I went product free I would look like Monica on Friends when she’s on vacation!

Michelle: Wow....6 ways! Fun to see your hair straighter; what difference your methods & products make! Thx to you I tried some new products (for me) & don't use a towel; too-small T-shirts are a perfect frugal solution for micro/dry plop of my shorter hair.

Judith Bauer: Thank you so much for this video. That was really helpful. I bought the perfect hair care towel and brush and I love them both.

Ida Ida: The way I do it is: I put the leave in and squish my hair. When I'm done with squishing I micro plop. Then I put gel and squish my hair and then again I micro plop. After all that I finish with dry plop with microfiber turban. I hold the dry plop for about 20min then diffuse. I always have the best results that way. (I'm 2a/2b,thin hair)

yensid: I use the same exact towel (it's easier for me than trying to tie anything) & plop in the same exact way. I leave it on long enough to apply all my body lotions, powders, skincare, deoderant etc & get dressed then I put a smaller towel around my neck & shoulders & let my wet hair settle & air dry for a bit before diffusing. My hair is curlier when damp or when the air is more humid. I have to lock in that curl pattern & moisture with a light weight but strong hold product like mousse, & if it dries too quickly it will just go straight. It's always less wavy in the drier Summer months which is frustrating. I might try the wet plopping then. Thanks!

Bonny Hicks: That was very helpful thank you so much for the video!

Sara Smith: Wow. I am just amazed at the difference plopping made. I was NOT expecting that. I would love to see more videos like this.

Crystal Rapose: I used to just micro plop because dry plopping left me with super stringy clumps. I watched the bowl method video and tried wet plopping and loved the results. So now I wet plop and then micro plop each wash day( twice a week for me) and am always very happy with my wash days. My hair is past my mid back, high porosity and medium density. My diffusing time is quite a bit longer but it's worth it for me.

Charlene Turgeon: I appreciate the demonstrations and explanations!

LINDA MARVIN: Well, I was pulsing while micro plopping. Thank you for teaching me the proper way.

Ruby: I can't get t-shirt plopping to work for the life of me! It smashes my hair down onto my scalp no matter how loose I tie it and creates clumps ON my scalp, which in turn creates really weird parts and pieces going every direction. Not cute next to try is wet plopping!

Mar Cruz: The issue i have is that the front looks great but when I let my hair down after plopping the hair on the back of my head does not release like the front, it kind of stuck together and weird. How do you avoid that?

Elizabeth Thomas: I got the Perfect towel from your link a while back and I love it! Good to see a few ways to do it.

Melissa Andrews: I’m a traditional/dry plopper. I plop in a t-shirt for 30 minutes or so after styling.

Alyson Knop: So helpful, as my plopping (and air drying the rest of the way-- can't use a diffuser due to joint problems) was just messing up my curl clumps and creating weird kinks in my 2a/2b hair. I think you should know that the word plop is used frequently in our house by my husband, but as a noun, and slightly modified, as in, "I need to go take a plopper" (dump) or "I'm going to take a ploppity." He said this once to one of his grad students during a night of observing at a telescope in Chile, and the student looked at him and said, "Did you just say 'ploppity'?!?" End of digression. Love your videos. Have you ever reviewed Ouidad products?

kawaii heather: You have such nice hair without any stylers in your hair! You're so lucky. I look like a frizz ball without anything in my hair!

Melika Aziminia: This goes to show that we’re all different. For me,plopping just doesn’t work. The product from my hair runs onto my scalp and causes itchiness. So what I do is, after I get out of the shower. I use all the stylers that I have. And then, I diffuse on soaking wet hair. It works for my thick, course, low porosity 2c/3a ringlets.

Baozi: I still giggle over the line in the last plopping video, something to the effect of, and this is how you will attract any man you’ve ever wanted Thanks for the update, always eager for more tips!

Rose Anna Ramirez: Hi courtney! what products do you use on your hair? Do you use moose or leave in conditioner?

Elizabeth Ann: I have 2b/c hair. I squish to condish, then scrunch in leaving, then get dried off, take a few minutes to drip dry. Then I will mircroplop, then assemble my final plop. I will let the final plop sit for 30min to an hour. If I feel like it I will diffuse to 80 percent dry. This gives me such pretty shrinkage and definition. I have tried finger coiling/ forming once and I got very pretty uniform curls. Today I am going to try the coiling and then using a diffuser to speed up dry time.

Denise Trujillo: How long do you plop for? Until the hair is totally dry, mostly dry?

Laura Sinclair: Great video. I was really hoping you'd show how to plop with the Perfect Haircare Towel from standing (as if in the shower). Maybe next time??

sherilynschneider: Hi Courtney - Great video! Have u tried the Scrunch It Curls Breathe Cap?

Laura Bolt: QUESTION!! I've been searching desperately through your videos and on the internet in general, but I can NOT figure out how to get my hair to lay correctly and not separate into a stringy snarly mess after I turn right side up after doing methods that have me be upside down. Please help!!

Gwendolyn Dodge: I microplop when I first get out of the shower so my hair isn't dripping wet and weighing down my hair. Then I plop in a cheap hairnet I got from Walmart for roughly an hour so my hair can air dry for a little while. I take it down, add a little more mousse (the Aussie mousse) and diffuse to 90% dry. Then I dry plop it in the hairnet again until it's completely dry to encourage volume and shrinkage. I find the hairnet preferable to fishnet stockings as the holes are smaller and none of my curl clumps fall out of the plop but there's still plenty of small holes for air to get in.

Kara Talks about Stuff: Okay, I'm not the only person who HAS to wash her face after washing her hair. Good to know.

Zosia: Some people use a wig cap instead of fishnet pantyhose. I've been meaning to try it.

Beth B: I have always wondered about this. Thanks!

Bella Shawol: Watching this as I attempt to plopp my hair for the first time ever.

Stephanie T: OMG the word PLOP makes me cringe - but wow, all the things you’ve said are so true! Got to master that plopping technique

Celeste Ortins: very helpful

Hopi Schwopi: I only have a t-shirt right now and I only did it once bt I was so confused how the people tie it. This helped, thank you.

Kara Talks about Stuff: Why did that ridiculous "plop" montage make me laugh so hard?

Hannah Lynn: Question about wet plop. Would piling your hair in the shower cap get leave on on my roots?

Rachel Enochs: The Ulta Gorgeous Hair Event starts tomorrow...would love a video of your recommendations or items you want to try from the sale!

devondunn7: Have you ever tried plopping with a thermal shower cap?

Angela Link: Can you do a video that shows the defuse drying method?

Lori Stewart: I found a shower cap that has microfiber liner. So I put that on right out of shower but i dont press my hair to get water out until, once i take my hair out i micro plop with a Tshirt and then I defuse half way and let it all air dry. I have found this works for me. so combing ways can also work. If i dont plop at all my hair looks awful

Stefany Flores: Could you do a follow-up on fishnet plopping? I've heard of it but idk how you get your hair in it without squishing your curls and ending up with wonky curls...

Crocheted with LUV By AJ: That’s awesome. Thanks!

Peach Tea: Can you get all science-y and talk about why our wavy/curly hair takes SO MUCH LONGER to dry with stylers in it versus when there are no stylers? I'm an air dry girl and with a toddler it's becoming impossible for me to figure out when I can wash my hair so its has time to dry but also not stay up til 1 in the morning or not take my daughter outside cause my hair is still wet. Ugh the struggle is real. Anyway that would be an interesting video to me. Thanks

Kelly Marie: Your hair is beautifully wavy!! Don't worry so much about trying to get curls. I wish mine was more wavy than curly.

Merce V.S.: If you have hygral fatigue the first way of plopping isn't bad?

Jennie M.: I didn’t know there was an actual term for the way I put my hair up after the shower. Lol

Shell Jewell: Her natural hair looks like mine!!!!!

Rebecca Minicozzi: I have long coarse hair, I like plopping for definition, but I always get a mess in the back on my scalp after I finish plopping.. It always ends up wonky, or tangled, and if I fix that area, I lose all the definition I just worked on. So sad lol. Not sure how to fix this issue??

Tracy D: You are helpful and thank you

taylorandcarolina: Your hair is beautiful just s-c-air dried as you showed in the very beginning.

Susan Emerson: Too funny I never use leave in. My hair is too fine thin density for leave ins

A Joyful Sound: Lol I didn't know that there were so many different ways to plop. I'll have to try them

Lori Rieder: Wow! That's a huge difference.

Stefanie Morgan: I wish I could plop my hair. It's long and tangles easily so the moment I stand upright everything is stuck to my scalp and tangled If I stay upside down, my part is so weird. I am so jealous of the girls who can plop!

Davina DeCamp: I also think your hair is pretty in the beginning of the video. I get bored after awhile and like to switch things up.

Rose B.: I have low porosity hair, I'm not sure all of it is lp and I don't think it's naturally lp(I remember when I was a kid that after swimming [air/sun drying] or showering and putting my in a towel that it didn't take as long to dry as it does now). Wet plopping sounds like a good idea despite the increased dry time

Stella Clark: Plopping doesn't work out so well when you have a short, inverted bob.

Jessica Worek: Hey wavy girls I need some hair help. No matter how much gel I use and whether I use a curl defining cream first or not, I still get some sections that fall completely flat and straight. Any tips?

Rollita: Plopping made me love my hair

Wendy Mullins: My hair is shoulder length. I micro-plop. Personally don’t have much space in bathroom to do any other plopping. I do have low density,& fine hair.

Star 123: Great video!!

Ariel Whittington: I adore these videos and your help. It is evident you are a believer (aside from decor and t shirts) due to how humble and benevolent you are in your speech. :) Thank you.

Brenda Fleming: you are so lucky to have the hair you do...it looks fab after a wash and air dry. Mine would slowly grow into a Bozo frizz ball!

Deborah Duthie: Thankyou very helpful.

Etienne Marquardt: Is this towel the same material as the decathlon ones?

Araleigh Rane: I get so insecure in wearing my hair down coz my family would say i look like a witch

Susan Finn: Thank you!!!

Bekki McGrath: Your hair is beautiful omg I'm so jealous.

Bobbe Mundt: Hmmm what if your curly hair is short, will this work?
