Don’t Forget to Love Ur Self & Love Ur Curls

Okay, this is my no product, meaning I have no styling product in here and it's like day, I don't know day, four or five. And basically put working from home. So last time I washed my hair shampooed and conditioned it. I decided not to put any styling products in it and then, of course, I've been lazy and no upkeep, and this is what it turns out into after a few days of not having product in here which never happens when I use styling products. So I'm gon na have a fun wash day today, detangling this mess and getting my curls back to normal. I going to need help with these tangles today.. I watch real influencers, curly hair videos and their makeup's always on point in the point in the shower.. I don't know how y'all do it. Man. That didn't work.? Okay, we are out of the shower and hair has been shampooed conditioned using our steps, one and two and deep conditioned as well, and now it's time for step three.. Actually, before I get to this, I'm gon na answer some common questions that I always got about. Why I wrap my hair in a towel, why I don't apply the styling product in the shower, so I'm gon na say this is personal preference.. I have always found that getting out the shower letting the steam escape from the bathroom and then applying my products to my hair. After just does better for my hair., I have heard both sides from our customers. Some people like applying the products in the shower some people like applying the products afterward like me, so just a personal, choice., Trial and error for you, hair and see what's best.. The other question I get is: why should we use a t-shirt towel? This is our Love: Ur Curls, 100 % cotton t-shirt towel. If you don't have our towel just use any hundred percent cotton t-shirt., It's a lot better than conventional towels, because this material, you see all these little terry cloth, materials fibers. They basically cause frizz to your hair before you've even had a chance to start styling it.. I used to wrap my hair in a regular towel and as soon as I stopped doing that and I started using cotton t-shirt, towels I've just seen better results., Again trial and error.. So that answers your question as to why I step out of the shower to apply my styling products and why I use a t-shirt towel to wrap my hair. Now. This does mean that my hair has obviously dried up a little bit. Today in particular, I got a call happens all the time where I think I'm gon na be. You know ten minutes between getting dressed and putting on a little bit of makeup and go to work, and then I get a call, and now it's been. I think it's been like forty-five minutes since I stepped out of the shower., So my hair is naturally gon na be drier.. You guys will see when I take this down, and so I'm gon na spend a lot of time, basically wetting each section down with water. This is just the Infinity Spray Love, Ur, Curls bottle, and I like it, I used to use just a plastic spray bottle from the dollar store. I'Ve always said it doesn't matter.. I like this baby because you, prime it up hands-free and I'll, keep spraying basically.. That'S it., So I use that. Today, I'm gon na sneak peak our Love, Ur Curls brush as well., So as far as applying the products to your hair. If you guys have watched my other how-to videos, you'll see that I basically apply the products to my hair when my hair is wet and I usually use my hands., I rake the product through scrunch it and that's it.. I discovered this brush at a trade show in 2018 and I never used it. Honestly. It sat in my cupboards for two years until I actually started playing around with it. No 20 yeah 2018.. Basically, because, like look, how short the bristles are, and I'm not one to normally brush my hair and I'll, take my hair down, so you guys can see what it looks like my hair is really long and when it's dry, it's quite thick - and I just was Like what is this gon na do for my hair., But it's got a patented technology. Detangling technology, it's amazing., Some people use it to detangle their hair. Even when it's dry. I have members of my team that do that.. I personally like it for applying the products. I find that it helps, distribute the products through my hair really easily and it cuts down on my application time, which cuts down on my styling time and yeah, I'm all about time saving.. So this is the Love Ur Curls brush. If you watching this video right now, it's April 2nd 2020, so these are in production. We'Re hoping to have them out by May hopefully May June., But yeah personally love it. I don't do anything without it anymore, but if you don't have this brush, any brush will do.. This is my other one that I used to use it's just a very basic brush that I got in a hotel one time when I forgot my own brush so or you use your hands. There'S different selling methods for different hair types. Check out our website. Lusbrands.Com to you know, see different styling methods that our community has shared with us for different hair, types., Okay, so next, which styling product do I use on my hair, As you guys can see, my hair is well. You can't really tell right now, but I have typed 3b curls.. I always use our Curly formula, which is this baby right here., When I'm lazy or when I want extra definition and hold. I step it up to our Kinky-Coily and they are, although the ingredients in them, they share some common ingredients, but they are different formulas., It's just like cooking. If you, if I give you guys 10 ingredients and you cooked it differently, the process, the method, everything was different, you're gon na end up with a different dish and that's what it is with the Curly and the Kinky-Coily.. So if you're like me - and you have type - I would say - 3b hair and up. So 3b, 3c or type 4 hair, and you want a little bit more definition and hold use the Kinky-Coily formula, give it a try.. I, like it a lot of our customers, liked it as well. I'll show you guys a different consistency, so this is the Curly, and this is Kinky-Coily.. So, as you can see, the Curly is like a lotion. Consistency and the Kinky-Coily is more of a cream.. So you would use a lot less of this on my hair type than the curly. I'm going to use the Kinky-Coily today and again, I'm going to brush it through I'm gon na. Do it in like four or five sections., The smaller the sections that you work in the more you take your time and you really work the product through your hair and let it absorb into your hair shaft, the better your results are going to be.. I don't always do that. Sometimes I do a very lazy method. Like I will split my hair down the middle. You can see my parts already there I'll split it down the middle. I have two sections like this and I will with the Curly. Air dry or defuse, and that's it I'm good to go.. However, I know that a lot of you want extra definition and I'm gon na show you guys my technique to get exactly that: today.. Okay, if your hair has started to dry out already, because it's been too long since you wrapped your hair, and when you apply your styling products, you want to make sure you wet each section of your hair down with water before applying your products. Otherwise, you're gon na end up with frizz.. So if you apply styling products to hair, that's already, I don't know if you can see that. But you see this, it doesn't matter how great of a job I do applying my products right now. My hair is gon na end up frizzy., So I have to make sure that each section is smooth and saturated with water. So I end up with definition. Okay, so I'm gon na use just a comb today, I'm gon na do a side part. That'S my! This is kind of my go-to. Again, you can do different things to your hair, but I kind of like my hair parted like this, so you'll do your part. Then I normally start with two sections in the back, so I will just take these sections up and it's not perfect. As you can see, that's, okay, it doesn't have to be perfect.. You could use any clip. I'Ve got these clips. What else I got you can use these alligator clips that you can get anywhere Amazon. These guys, whatever just to separate your hair out. And then I'm gon na use. You can see my sections are pretty big. I might have to divide this out into two and I'm just gon na use water to really really wet down each section. Lots and lots of water., And also because my hair is already started drying out. You don't want that., You don't want to apply your products to frizzy hair., So make sure if your hair has dried out. If too much time is gone by you first before you touch your product, saturate your hair with water., You could use your hands. Now. If you have a different hair type than me, let's say you have type 2 Wavy, hair or type 4 type 4 Kinky-Coily hair. There are different fun, how-to videos on our website, different application techniques, work for different people, but you can see how great this brush is. Working. Got a snag.. You know what this means When you hear that it means it's time for a trim., I'm the worst we're trimming. But if your hair is snagging like that, it means you got knots or split ends, and you just need to trim your hair.. So work it through and do you see the difference? Look at this versus this.. If you apply product to this, it doesn't matter how good of a job you do. It'S gon na end up frizzy., So you need to get your hair wet smooth before you apply. The product and I'm working in too big of a section right now, so I would actually work it. You should technically do it in two, but I'm gon na show you again my lazy method. A little bit more water.. This is a big section. You should be working in smaller sections if you have time, but I'm cheating., I'm using this LUS brush, so we're gon na go through and, like I said, I'm using the Kinky-Coily today. This baby right, here., Yeap Kinky-Coily., I'm gon na make sure I'm not using the Wrong one., Okay, so, as I mentioned normally, I would use the Curly on my hair type and you see I'm gon na go a little slower here, so you can see I'm just taking my time working the product as close to the root as you can get And in the ends. And then after I've applied the product, I'm gon na brush it through and that's gon na help. Give me a little bit more definition. And if I twist my arm like that or my wrists, rather at the end, that kind of helps me get a little bit of coil going without having to use my fingers to finger coil. Squeeze out the excess water. And that's it.. I would consider this section done. You can break it up. I don't personally like my curls to be like flat, so I don't mind a little volume. I would break my curls up. You can use the praying hand's method to actually clump them together, which is opposite of breaking them up with your hands.. It is personal preference and whatever you prefer, your curls to do, but that's it. And you can always tell when your hair is gon na turn out good. By the way it looks after you've applied the product.. You see this. This is gon na turn out good. I can already tell. This is not., Alright next section. For the last section and as you can see, my hair dries so so fast that by the time I get down to my last section, my hair is like pretty much dry and I need to saturate it Before I start to apply the product., Hey guys just checking in midway of drying point., I shouldn't be touching my hair, but I wanted to show you how it's drying so far and I'm diffusing on medium heat setting and I think it's turning out alright.. I think we're doing okay.. I have videos on our website on our YouTube channel, showing you exactly how I diffuse my hair., if you're wondering about that section there but yeah I just wanted to check-in. This is the midway point and you can see it's turning out.. I'M trying not to touch my hair too much, because this is where it frizzes. Remember. I was using the brush to twist out the end and look at this look at this coil.. I love it., Okay, so I'm gon na go finish. My hair finish drying it and I'll be back., And I'm back and it's done. My hair, believe it or not - is fully dry right now.. So I know it looks really tame. It looks um, it looks like it might still be wet, but nope these are dry. But yeah. So you definitely don't want to do what I'm doing and play with your hair too much, because even though your hair is dry, it could still frizz up.. So if you want to keep your hair defined and sleek down, try not to do what I'm doing and don't touch your hair so much.! Now, when your hair is fully fully dry, if you want to go ahead and open your coils up to give a little bit more volume or to fluff your hair out a little bit again, it's personal preference! If you like, your hair sleek, you can keep it sleek or you can go through. You can see. I don't have a lot of volume and my roots right now and that's just because that's how I like it., But sometimes I'll, just go through with a pic and just literally pick out the roots. You'Re not brushing your hair through at this point you're just picking out the roots. You're just kind of lifting at the roots. You see that You're not disturbing your curl pattern, just lifting at the roots.. So the only other thing that I might add on to my hair - and I normally don't add anything else unless it's like a refresh and I'm doing it all day, like two three or onwards I'll add a couple of drops of the LUS Elixir Oil. And this Oil, you can use on your hands, face skin everything.. I use up like head to toe., But in order to, if you have like a little bit of frizz on to like you, see these like little tiny bit of frizz, if you just want to smooth your hair down as a finishing oil, it's amazing. So you'll. Just take a couple of drops: not a lot put that in the palm of my hand, one two three - and I will just rub my palm together and just gently not disturbing my curl pattern, but just gently patting that down. And boom you get nice sleek look. Little bit of extra shine, lock in the moisture from your styling products and away you go. And can't forget the other side. One. Two three four. Got more hair on the sides, so um, that's it., Just pat pat pat and smooth your curls down.. So I show extra love to my ends. That'S the part that gets drier right, That's that., So super sleek defined look, and this is kind of my go-to. Parted down the middle. I mean down the side. I use the brush for applying.. Today I use the Kinky-Coily. I normally use the Curly, so I have a little bit more volume but yeah. If I want to cheat where I want to get a bit more extra definition, and by cheat I mean just speed up my styling times., There is no cheating with curly hair. You got ta, take your time., You have to apply your products and take your time and in exchange you get beautiful, curls. And that's kind of it.. I hope you guys enjoyed this. As always. My team is here to answer any questions you guys have so leave your comments. Hit us up. Facebook Instagram Twitter YouTube wherever we are and we'll answer your questions.. Thank you. Guys. Love you as always., Bye,

Kimberly Wooster: I've been using LUS wavy products for almost 2 years and I LOVE them. My curls are perfectly healthy and I love the way they look now, plus my daughter is learning to love her own wavy "mess" as well. But can you PLEASE bring back the hairdryer! I was just about to buy one!!!

Cat Mations: Hey great video! Your hair looks amazing! This really helps because the first time I used product on my curly daughter we had a bit of frizz . But that was because I didn’t know what I was doing. Products work perfect when you use them properly ( wet hair first, detangle , brush, squish)!

Megan Fairweather: So I have 3b super duper long hair & I just got my kinky curly in the mail maybe 2 weeks ago. Oh my goodness let me tell you I AM IN LOVEEEEE! I can't even explain how much I'm obsessed your products! I super love the conditioner too! Next I wanna try the deep conditioner & the shampoo for sure! Also something I've noticed is my hair definition lasts so much longer, way longer than it ever has. On my wash day which is about day 5 its a little frizzy but still so pretty & defined. I've NEVER gotten such great results with ANY hair products & I've tried so so many! I'm literally NEVER buying anything else. This stuff is AMAZING! btw THE KEY IS MAKING SURE YOU USE ALOT OF WATER! IT NEEDS TO BE DRIPPING WET! XOXO

AlizMari23: I want to see you go for as much volume as you can without it getting frizzy or looking like you dry brushed it ❤️❤️

Alexis-jean Noble: It's amazing. And it literally kept my hair perfect for days. Even after sleeping on my hair

Nelly: I just received my Kinky Curly this week and a first time customer. I can't wait to see the results.

Carmen Morales: Great video. I struggle with the product out of laziness, I spend only 5 minutes on my hair after a shower. I have similar hair type. Gonna try this method on a weekend.

Joan Marie Pat: I'm 69 years old. My hair is silver grey and very curly (I don't know the type of curl) it's very thick and coarse and sort of ringlet curls but it frizzes easily if I put nothing in it after washing. I would love to see some videos with people like me using your product. I've bought the curly products and love them but I still feel unsure about how to use them.

Jilleyful: I just got my first set of LUS products, yesterday, and used them today. I'm about half dry, now, and I'm loving the way my hair is looking, so far!!! Gorgeous curls, smooth and soft with very little frizz (what frizz is there is because I was messing around too much. I'm still getting used to doing my hair curly, on purpose, so I'm kind of experimenting with different techniques)! I love it, and I'm totally excited about how my hair is going to look when I've got my technique down! My hair is mostly wavy, with everything from type 1 (yes, I have some bone straight hair, right at the back of my head, underneath all the other hair) to 3A curls in it.

Brooke Manolis: Ok this is the review I needed! I’ve been using the curly formula and love it but need a bit more hold! Totally trying the kinky-coily!

Markeish Goss: I have struggled with getting the process down! You guys suggested that I get the curly and kinky set! I did and I also have been using the 3 step process, the deep conditioning and the elixir oil! Overall, I love the products but I just can’t get the frizz and dryness to subside! Any suggestions, team?? I love y’all and I love the products!!

Cynthia: This brand has been THE BEST EVERRRRR! Most underrated!!! Please do more advertising on IG to reach a much bigger audience more ppl need to find out about this product.

Debrakay7: I wish I had thick hair like yours. Mine is thin and curly and fradgle I also know what you mean by not to touch your curls too much after styling. Thanks for this video and your tips

Laura Jocelyn: Any news when the brush will be available? I'm excited to make my first order, but want to include the brush at the same time!

Edna Solis: It says my hair is curly but it gets super frizzy. I ordered the sample size of the curly product. I love the product but at the end of the day it still does get a bit frizzy. Should I just purchase the kinky product? Hope to hear from you soon! I love this product already!! So weightless and it smells great! Also, when I shower I HAVE TO wash my hair (I shower every day). What is an alternative to having to at least condition my hair while in the shower?

Elsy Rodriguez: Thanks so much for this. I didn’t see the T-shirt towel or wet comb on the website! When will those be available?

Heidi Casey: Unless I brush my hair in the shower it pulls out the curls. I tried the curly on what I was told was 3b hair but my hair went flat on top even diffusing it. Does this product just take time to get used to? I wanna love it because it feels and smells fantastic in my hair but I may have to try coily.

Samra Mckown: So, do you go days without washing and just resoak and reapply step 3 and use dry shampoo? I didn't realize I needed to soak my hair that much for step 3.

Ashely R: Do you use any heat protector - or does the product help?

Queen Shersei: What if you don’t have curly hair naturally? Does the product work to help create curls and volume on straighter hair?

Jennifer Trevino: I have a question. Im new to Lus and new again to curly hair, I've been wearing my hair straight for 26 years, with keratin treatments and flat irons. So my hair is wavy, frizzy and curly and straight on the ends ugh, I purchased the Curly all in one. Today my hair is part frizzy part curly. I currently use it's a 10 miracle. can i mix this with lus all in one? or will that not work?

Kristen Hysler: I really wish you guys sold sample or trial sizes. My hair is super picky and I wish I could try all three types of stylers to see which one works best. And make sure I don't have a reaction to it (I have allergies). It's the only reason that I haven't bought your products. I can't afford to make a commitment and be stuck with products that I don't use. I totally understand and respect a no return policy, but there should be some way to try a product first then.

Lizette Diaz: I normally don’t put regular conditioner on before I deep conditioner put in this video you put both. Does that over moisturize you’re hair or is that the recommended way when deep conditioning? Wash, condition, then deep condition?

Letisia Ariyuri Simancas: For hair masks do we rinse w just water or w shampoo & conditioner? Also, what's your opinion on brushing hair & Denman brush? I was told to never brush but to use my fingers on wash day, but I'm seeing tons of videos using diff brushes

OrchidOtaku: I relate to this so much lol

Jenny Fallat: You’re hair is so beautiful! You don’t scrunch after you apply the products?

Harriet Taylor: Wow. Amaazing

v._bishar: Wait does it work for men cause my hair has been static for a few months but I’ve tried stuff that hasn’t worked so does it work for men

Alicia Caley: What if you don’t use hairdryers? Does it work on air drying

China Duran: When u use the kinky products do you use all 3 or do u olny used the curly one

elizabeth pineda: Do you tie your hair on the back as you de tangle?

Christal Garcia: Will you ever bring back combs and the towel to purchase?

Saeda Galmo: Was just wondering whats the purpose of wrapping your head with a T-shirt once you're done washing your hair?

Carr Ebanks: Hi, I came here looking for a coupon code to try your products...

Sabrina Desousa: Watch my favorite wavy hair products video

Cheryl Boyd: Ummhow come yours comes out looking like 2billion buck and mine don't come out like that? ☹

Dani DePottie: Ooook but your arms though girl!!!
