Relaxer, Pixie Cut& Style!| At A Salon In Toronto!| It'S Been Over 1 Year!

I went to a salon you like it Kelly. You like it was good. Ah, hey guys good morning, welcome to my channel. My name is Roxy for those of you who are new if you are not new. Thank you so much for coming back and clicking on this video, as you guys can see by the title and the thumbnail I'm going to the salon today to get my hair done. I know you guys can't see because the background is kind of black, but my hair is not combed, it's just in its natural state. For the most part - and it's been like this for about a year now, for the past year, I've been doing wigs, braids ponytails. It'S been kind of detrimental to my hair. I haven't been taking care of it. Um I've been seeing breakage I've been seeing thinning on one side, and I tried my best to recover it, I'm starting to feel like I'm, not myself, I'm starting to feel like slumped. Very homely not taken care of not groomed. So honestly, I just decided to get my hair cut and go back to the pixie cut life. I'M going to Salon Shea her name is Siobhan she's, The Stylist. I actually did my hair um in my video, where I showed you guys the secret to styling your hair without any heat. So I'm going to take you guys to the salon with me. Let me not drag this intro out so I'll see you guys on the inside, hey guys. So I am at Salon Shea, and this is Siobhan she's, cutting and styling my hair today. So she did decide to go ahead and give it a pre-cut simply because it'd be a waste of product to relax all of my hair since we're going to cut it off anyways. So, honestly, I was kind of nervous. I was nervous the whole entire process. I was trying to keep it together. I don't know. I think I was just nervous because I do have weak areas in my hair and I thought maybe the relaxer would reveal all of that um. So please don't mind some of my facial expressions or, if I'm looking really sad or you know it's just me inside my head, overthinking anyway, I want to go ahead and show you guys the back here. She did point out to me that I had this bald and sparse area in the back, which I had no idea. I only knew that I had the area in the front on my left side, but now it's also in the back on my left side. So after seeing this, it all went downhill, as you guys can see on my face and my facial expressions so she's just placing the relaxer my hair she's, starting on the back and the sides, and I think she's using she's using a professional relaxer she's. Definitely not using a box relaxer or a hairstyle relaxer she's, using a professional one, I'm not sure which one it is most stylists use like a firm or Mizani, I think, probably a firm, but I'm getting a wash here. She did put like a pre-treatment in my hair, um sure she neutralized it as well. I love getting my hair shampooed at a salon. It just feels so different when someone's actually doing it for you. So, honestly, that is a plus I'll definitely be going to the salon more. I know I'm pretty good with my hair, sorry, I know I'm pretty good with my hair and I'm very much Hands-On, but I'll be going to a salon more often um, especially to get a relaxer and just to get my hair washed. It feels so good um. I was trying to make I'm trying to make a reel in this process. I did ask her to color my hair, so we're doing a jet black um rinse. So it's a it's, not a permanent color. It washes out in a few washes uh. She asked if I wanted to do natural or gen, I decided to go jet black. I love jet black um. So that's what we're doing right now: um even watching um, this process, I'm looking at the top of my head and it's looking really flat and thin and that's what gets me nervous, guys uh! I don't know. I I'm probably just really stressed out for no reason, but in a little bit over a year guys, so it feels I feel brand new. I feel different. I know everything's coming along fine. I know everything's coming along. I'M excited for the end result. However, I'm so nervous so now she's just cutting it wet. This is a wet cut. I think so. She cuts it three times in total. She cuts it before the relaxer. She cuts it after like during its wet after the color, and then she ends up cutting it again like after she mold it. So I'm just gon na sit back and let you guys watch the rest of the process. I'M excited to get back into the shortcut. I have to get Michael ready for a birthday party, so yeah, I'm back okay guys, so I'm back I'm in my studio right now. I just wanted to come on here and just like talk about my haircut and everything um. So I got a beautiful cut. Thank you so much Siobhan. I feel back like I'm back to myself when I left the salon um. My hair was this way, so let me put it back so it was like this like for the most part, obviously not exactly like this, but I love how um versatile the cut is. I can move it around and I still have like a shave like. I don't look crazy, like it's easy for me to just wrap it and style it uh. She did ask me how I wanted it. What kind of look I was going for? I was very vague, very big only because I'm not picky um and I just want to be able to like mold and wrap it as long as it has a shape, I'm good to go so she was able to deliver for me and she pretty much cut It very similar to the first time she cut my hair um, so that was very good. She um did a rinse, so I got a jet black rinse. So that's what I did today, guys I'm not gon na lie. I don't know if you guys can tell when I was in the chair. I was like my face was so serious, like I would catch myself in these series I felt so like not nervous, maybe anxious. I was so worried about um, there's parts of my hair that are really thinning and it's all on this side. So it's like a piece back here and right here right. You guys can't really tell now it's kind of camouflage like with the rinse and like the cut and everything, but I have parts of my hair that are very thin and I'm just so worried that all of the things that I've done to my hair in the Past, like the chemicals, the like the hot combing and flat ironing and pulling it into ponytails and stuff, I'm so worried that that's finally catching up to me and I didn't realize how much like that would affect me. So I was really like nervous about how how everything would turn out if I'd be able to conceal all of the thin areas of my hair and it worked out as fine. I was worried for no reason: okay um, as you guys saw when I came home, Calmar was like first of all, he was asleep. He was partially asleep by the time I came home. He was tired, so he was half asleep when he saw me and he was like when I tell you that's like this is like the best thing that could ever happen to him. He loves when my hair is short like he tells me that I'm at my best self, with my hair is short and I get it I know, but you know summer, I want to try different things and whatever I don't mind doing what he likes. You know like why not like you know, and it's also sorry, it's also um reciprocal, so I'll, be like hey babe, like I like when you wear this or when you do this he'll come through for me, you know just to make each other happy yeah. So I just wanted to kind of show you guys. What'S going on she, I asked her to leave sideburns you know. So when I'm molding, I can do my little curl um. I, like I said I love how it's versatile like I could either I can wear it on the left or the right side right. So it's very movable um. I don't know. Let me show you guys. The back. I haven't even seen the back, but I'm gon na try to show you guys the back as much as possible, so it looks like this. She did. Let me know that she tried her best to blend in, like the parts that I had thinning the other parts and guys also I did go ahead. I took a nap I didn't have my head. I took a nap and everything so I might have like kind of crushed up the style. I can't believe I did it. Did this honestly. I'Ve been so all over the place. In my mind I told myself I wasn't cutting my hair, I was. I was gon na wait until these parts grew back like this part grew back. The part that was sitting I'll show you guys pictures of what was going on um, but the stylist did recommend that I can that I take hair vitamins, massage my scalp and also like just try to be as stress-free as possible: drink water and everything drink. A lot of water, but I honestly think it's like life stress life, stresses um chemicals and just bad behavior with my hair. So I'm gon na make a next video like make another video, an updated video on things that I'm gon na do differently to take care of my short hair, um things that I've done before in the past that were kind of like destructive to my hair. I'M gon na make some changes, so I'm gon na share that with you guys, but anyway my camera is dying.
