Uh, hey guys, it's mika, welcome back to my channel just ignore the fact that i don't have eyebrows on right now, guys it's literally like eight o'clock in the morning and we left um london at like six in the morning. So i did not have time to get ready, but basically today what are we doing? Harrison i'm getting burpido. We are picking up our new kitten, so the kitten that we're getting is a british shorthair kitten and yeah he's ready to leave his um his home. Now and come and join us. So basically, we've come to cambridge to pick up our um pepito, oh yeah, let me tell them there's a story about the name. Well, it's not very long, but so the story harrison. Basically thought of. We were like thinking of names and harrison's like oh, my god, pepito sounds like such a cool name, and i was like hang on. That was my grandad's name, so we're calling our kitten pepito so do so so, okay guys. So it's a week later and i haven't been able to film much during the week of us having pepito, because i've been working literally like every single day, so i am finally going to show you and introduce you to our kitten, say hello to the camera, hello. His name is pepito, but we call him pepe or pepe for sure. We'Ve had pepito for a week now, and i was going to tell you guys a bit about how it was like bringing him home and how he's been for the past week and he's over there just like cleaning himself, so picking him up from um the breeders That we bought him from um. He was really nervous and really scared to like be petted by us, and he was literally crying the whole way back in the car. We brought him into the apartment and just like put the um kitty like the cat carrier. Just on the floor and opened it, but literally guys we were expecting him to be in there for like the whole day and not come out until like after a few hours, but he literally came out straight away um and now, a week later, he literally he Loves it here, like he's so used to it now, in terms of just like food and stuff, we've been giving him the same stuff that he was eating back when um back at his mom's owner's place, and then we've kind of started mixing it now with some Other food that we've bought because he was eating some really expensive stuff there and um. We started just mixing it with like um felix food. Is it felix yeah we've started like mixing it with like felix wet food and we're also giving him dry foods he's having a mix of both um. He sleeps with us in our bed um, just because we don't really like leaving him in like different rooms. So he's basically only allowed in the room that we're in just because he's still a kitten like he bites wires and does loads of stuff, so he has to be watched all the time. I was actually never a cat person before we got him like i've always been like dogs, dogs, dogs, like i love dogs, so much and like i've grown up with dogs. My whole life, but over the last few days of having pepito i've, got used to his personality and the differences between cats and dogs, and obviously this is mine, harrison's first time having a cat yeah. So we're both learning and we're both still finding out how to take care of him and kind of things we can do to match his personality and things that he likes and don't like so yeah. That is our new kitten. Thank you guys. So much for watching and hopefully i'll be posting more videos of him playing and him growing up um, because i love watching those videos so yeah and it's just nice to like document his life. Caesar the British Shorthair Cat: If you like British shorthair cats and think of getting one I want to give you some advice: 1. We have a lot of energy until we are 3 years old. That is when we reach maturity 2. We like to follow you around everywhere: in the bathroom, all around the house, we stay with you in the kitchen while you cook(and not because we want your food, but because we like being near you all the time) 3. We are very curious cats. If you want to fix something around your house we will stay there right beside you until you finish 4. We live around 18 years or maybe even 20. So be prepared to get old with us 5. We like to fetch just like dogs. Just throw me a ball and I will run to get it in my mouth and return it back to you 6. We are pretty low maintenance cats, we are happy with what we have: just a clean litter box, food and fresh and clean water 7. We communicate with you a lot. We like to talk to you and give and receive attention

Cy By design: I bought a British Short Hair - male kitten. We absolutely love him. He is so loving and gentle. My kids adore him. He has never scratched or bitten and he loves being stroked. Best cat ever!

Sleepy Holly: Good choice for the breed, British Shorthairs are just perfect in every way I can think of. 1. They're not greedy 2. They're loving 3. They're loyal 4. They don't have an excessive amount of fur which also means that they don't have issues like eating furballs (some examples of breeds with long fur are Ragdolls, Ragamuffins, Norwegian Forests, British Longhairs, etc.) overall, I'm very happy that you chose a British Shorthair and I wish you the best luck with your adorable cat! <3
Cloudshine: I was getting a British Shorthair, but my father changed his mind for the 2nd time. The first time I was getting a bunny, until this blonde girl came up to him, telling him it’s not such a good idea to get only one bunny. And this time he said that the cat might have fleas or worms in their fur. Like, what?! Now he’s getting it after my birthday, which will take way too long! :(

Maxine Turner: Super cute kitty. We have 2 BSH and love them dearly. They need lots of attention and adore human interaction, but well worth it. Just one word of advice always keep washing machine or tumble dryer door closed when not using as cats will climb in with disastrous results. Enjoy your kitty!

Jon D. Mango: Such a little sweatheart! Our bsh cat coco just died yesterday and he was just one month away to being 2 years old, he got a rare cancer. Be sure to have regulare check ups and all and defenetly try to get the best food you can with high meat no wheat or sugar or other fillers, they dont deserve that junk. Amanda Motta: The quality of the food you feed your cat will eventually reflect on their health (abnormal blood tests and huge vet bills x super healthy and strong immune system), so please don't feed him cheap food, they are made with bad quality ingredients and fillers. Please don't take this as harsh criticism, it's an advice from a scottish fold and BSH mom :) Look for higher protein and less carbohydrates % options. Royal Canin isn't a good option for dry food, but their kitten wet food (shown on the video) is decent, but highly processed. The idea of giving dry AND wet food is great if you can't afford wet food only, that's what I do because both of my cats LOVE to eat their kibble at night, so I wasn't able to change that habit.
