Bringing Home Our New British Shorthair Kitten! || Christina Parmiter

Good morning, everyone so today is very exciting. What is going on with my hair? God knows, but today is very exciting for us, because we are getting a new addition to our little family. So we do have two cats already um they're a persian cross, and i don't know if you've seen or watched my youtube channel, but you would have seen them they're called loose and nala. We have decided if you can't already tell by the title that we're gon na get a british short hair, um cat, which we'll be coming and we'll be getting them today. Um, it's gon na, be a girl. I think we've named her, but we'll tell you a bit more about it later on when she actually arrives um, but first off. We need to go to pets at home to pick up a few kitten bits and bob for her, and also we need to just get some advice as well on how to like um bring them together the most like correct way, um, because we obviously want them To get along the only thing is: if they don't get along, then we will send her back. Unfortunately, but we're hoping that's not going to be the case and we can a family of four five five, how many five, so we've got two cats already. Obviously my husband, charlie, and now we're going to have a new addition. So if you want to see her stay tuned, don't forget to hit that subscribe button and yeah. Cats are two years old, um, so they're still very playful and everything, so i think they'll get on really well personally, i'm just really worried about nana rather than loose because i think loose won't mind, but nala does get issues with cats, so i'm hoping that they'll Be fine but i'm gon na stop rambling we're gon na go to pets at home to pick up some a few bits and then we're gon na go and pick up our new addition. So stay tuned off. We go to pets at home to get all her bits and bobs that she needs and then we're gon na go and pick her up. So peace. Are you sure you want this charlie? I'M sure. Are you sure yeah? Whose decision was it uh? Yours, finnish pets are home. I will show you what we got um when we get back um, but we're now going to collect her and then we'll do like a whole name reveal and everything when we get home the name name reveal. I think we are pretty much decided, aren't we yeah, but we just want to make sure she likes it as well. So she's in the car she's in here we're just taking her in now. Okay, so we've got her. So the plan is we're gon na. Let her come out into the hallway first, luckily, narla's asleep in charlie's, wardrobe and loose is in the living room, asleep, so we're gon na. Let her like roam around the hallway and the kitchen, and things like that. First, just to get her used to it. Can you hear meowing she's in here, but we'll see what she's like here? She comes hello, darling, hello, let's just let her sniff around for a bit and see where she goes. Oh girl, she's, so cute, oh she's, going downstairs. She wants to run away already. Then she's smelling nala and loose because they sit there yeah, which is a good thing, she's getting used to the new scent, no she's getting so comfortable with us. She literally just laid on the floor. I think she's a bit tired, not sure girlfriend away. Oh, my god she's so adorable the girl little face. Where are you off to now? Oh lisa's seen her yeah lucy's seen her. I wonder if he'll come and say hi he's he's a bit he's he's a bit like what the is that she's having a good old, explore, she's trying to play with her mouse, how you obviously playing with it she's adorable on you she's having a good old Explorer of the living room, which is good because this is where she's gon na stay at night and she's using the scratch pad, which is good, so hopefully she won't scratch them. She got the sofa on her own, so this is lucy's spot, so she's having a good old sniff of him, which is good. I need to just be careful. The wind is open, nope and she's having her first little drink. This little girl has gone to sleep. She'S purring away so she's happy, i think she's settling in so we just need to introduce to the other cats. Now slowly huh, oh she's eating our first dinner in our house as remy palmetto through the highways good morning, everyone. So it's day, two i'm in the same outfit, because i've literally just woke up it's like 20 past eight um. I didn't just wake up. That'S a lie. I woke up at like half six fed her and then i shut the door and i think she went down for an extra half an hour. Sleep um lucinala stayed out last night. They are now back. They are still adjusting pretty much like they're still growling and hissing at her um, but we have made a bit of progress i think with loose. So the thing is, they say to put them in a safe space, so she's, just sleeping i'll, show you she's just sleeping right now. Next to me, you see her she's just there on the sofa and then luce is also in the same room. Bear in mind. I did have to put him in his spot um. He didn't just walk in here um and i have been putting her collar next to them to see if they can get used to the scent so lucy's. There he's asleep on his um climby frame. He'S just gone to sleep and then this one here has just gone to sleep as well: well, she's, peeping, she's like trying to sleep and then nala's in her favorite spot in the wardrobe, so she's the one. That'S i'm more worried about than loose. I think loose will come around he's not as growly. He does growl um, but he's not as growly. So i picked him up this morning and brought them very close to each other. Yes, he growled. Yes, he is, but i think it's better to do that, because then they're getting used to each other, but i think they are still very stressed. So it's still very new but she's settling in fine she's, absolutely fine. She loves it, whereas she just wants to be friends with them, but they're not having it. So we're gon na see how this goes. I read online. It can take up to eight six months. I think a couple minutes, but i would give it. I think i'm gon na give it four weeks and if they still haven't settled, then i'm gon na consider having to get rid of her, which is gon na, be really sad but yeah. So we'll keep you updated now, look how cute she is sitting on top of my sofa. Are you so cute? You cute little girl, i think he's so cute he's so cute. Look how tiny she is! You cutie pie, remy she's, really settling in now she's having a good old play. So this is day two she's loving life she can fit under the tv stand so far, no chewing cables, which is good there. She is oh, just bumped, her head ready, she's been really good with the toilet as well. This is what she her does. Making a blooming mess is what she's doing, and then she goes toilet leading us and love is all we'll ever trust through the highways. Oh along the way melodies we'll through hello everyone, so it is now a week kind of later here's little girl. Look at that. Look. How cute she is say: hi, say: hi hi, everyone! All she wants to do is get down and play. So i want to take a picture, but yeah she's a wriggler. She wants to play, don't you don't you but she's, settling in really well um she's, i'm gon na just let her go because she's she's having a time um, yeah she's settling in really well. It is now tuesday, so we've had her over a week now so narla and luce. They are slightly better um than when we first got her so they're still kind of hissing at her and things like that. So i'm hoping but they're a lot better than what they were, so i'm hoping that they will be best friends really soon um, but what we're doing is moving the bowls closer and closer so when they eat they get used to each other. A bit more. Like all remy wants to do is be friends with them um and play with them, but they're not having any of it, but we are trying to get that in um. If i'm giving it about a month and if they're not okay, then we will see what was best for them um, but yeah. If you have any tips on how to get them to be besties, please let me know in the comments below, because that would really help me and my little cat family to be best friends, but yeah bring a bit off tangent. She settled in pretty much straight away. She was very happy with us um. So one of the reasons why we decided on her and not any of the other litter is because she came to us um when we were there, so we were like it's meant to be she's she's, the one that we're gon na have um. I didn't do a name reveal, so if you didn't realize her name is remy, can you see her crawling the hair? What is she doing on our bed? She'S not allowed on our bed because she might go to the toilet, remy remy, so luke's been sitting on there, so she's sniffing him, which is a good sign, but anyway, so yeah she's been setting in fine. Her name is remy. I also forgot, because i was just too excited to film like what we got from pets at home, so we got a litter tray, a little new play toy um, a couple of cat bowls for her water and her food. I also got her a mat for that, and that was about it because we have toys already and then later on. In the week we ordered nana's favorite toy, which is like uh a bird flying little feather um, so that was nana's favorite toy to try and get them to play together, um which did work. It is working a little bit. So that's good because it takes her mind off remy being there when we're playing with her. If that makes sense so yeah, we all did that. That'S all we ordered for her because and obviously we brought cat food. Obviously, cat food kitten, food um, so we've got munchies and we got um wet food for her. She prefers wet food at the minute and she does actually like to go and eat knowledge and dry food which she shouldn't, but she does look at her. What is she doing? Remy come on come on, see your fans come on. If she comes here she comes. All she wants to do is literally play because she's so tiny, aren't you so tiny, say: hi hi new, pretty you pretty girl, hi hi, they're, nice um. She does sleep as well very well, so that is a good thing. I'Ve been sleeping, fine, which is great um. She she's very good at the toilet as well. She goes literally straight in the toilet um when she needs to go so when she eats. She normally goes toilet straight after so she's, very good she's in a very good routine with that which is great so yeah. That really concludes the today's video of meeting our new little kitten, um she's, just so cute. I will be doing like updates of her and stuff and there'll be a lot of tick tock videos about her so go and follow me on tik tok um, but i might do an updated version of her, but you'll probably see her around in vlogs anyway. So we've got about six months.
