Ah hi, I'm Whitney. I work behind the scenes on a lot of videos here at Birchbox. I recently cut five inches off with my hair, so I've been doing a lot of experimenting with new styles. I must say some of my hair styles have been pretty creative. I'M going to show you guys one of my current favorites. Let'S get started, you will need a blow dryer a round brush section clips, a 3/4 inch curling iron and a comb with a pick on the end. The first step prep damp air with product to give it texture and hold. If you have thick hair, I recommend using styling gel before blow-drying for fine hair. Like mine, I recommend using a mousse I'm using this one by number, four to maximize volume. Flip your head over and blow-dry, concentrating on your roots when Herod's dry use the round brush at the crown of your head to create volume. If you have bangs roll them away from your face and if you have fine hair that tends to get oily add in a little dry shampoo, this will also give you some extra volume now section your hair, using the pic end of the comb, make sure to Follow the natural parts in your hair, if you have bangs like me, keep them separate the more sections you have. The fuller, the finished look will be start curling, the bottom sections and work up. So you don't get all tangled up in the curls. Take about a half inch section of hair from a bottom section and spray very lightly, with setting spray making sure to not over saturate place the end of the piece into the clip of the curling iron. The clip of the curling iron should be facing forward whenever you are clipping in the hair twist the rod, so the hair moves like a ribbon around the rod when you release the curl, be careful not to touch it until the hair has completely cooled, continue. Curling pieces in the same direction from each section making sure the clip of the curling iron is always facing front, save bangs into curl last part bangs and curl them back away from your face. Oh, when you finished curling all of your hair hit it with a healthy amount of hairspray. I like to use this one by alocs II, then shake your hair to loosen the curls and use the pic on the end of the comb to sort the curls. Once you are happy with the style hit it again with some hairspray, then sing a little song tie a yellow, ribbon round and you're done all finished. This style does require a little bit of patience and some practice now go run. Jump swim fly to most curling irons and get curling, and I want to hear from you in the comments below what your favorite short hairstyles are bonus points if you make a hair tutorial sayonara, let's get started by gathering our tools. I love in our posture up. Okay, guys, let me try. It now go run. What

aelisala: Super cute video! I have super curly hair, so straightening for me is always a go to hair style. But I love braiding the front, poofing the hair at the crown of my head and doing a low ponytail in the back- always looks boho classy for sure!

dhrachth1: I usually just straighten my hair and maybe give it a little flip out at the ends.  If I'm going to put my hair up, a Gibson tuck is my go-to because it's super simple, works with my shortish hair, and looks really elegant.
