I am so thrilled to be able to share an easy up do for short hair today that is perfect for wedding, bridal and prom season! Don’t let my long hair fool you, this hairstyle will work beautifully on all hair lengths… Even short hair!
What I love about this hairstyle is, you can create it effortlessly or you can start with your hair straightened and create a more sleek updo depending on your style and preference. This fairly easy and minimalistic hairstyle will keep your hair off your neck, frame your face and is sure to help you feel confident and beautiful at your next event.

HOW TO ACHIEVE THIS LOOK!
Step 1: Prep your hair by curling it with a 1.5” barrel (I used my go-to from T3 Micro).
Step 2: Gather all of the hair at the crown of your head and twist it counter clockwise and bobby pin into place (THESE are my favourite bobby pins). Next pinch and pull sections of your crown to add volume.
Step 3: Gather all the hair on the right side of your head, pulling out small sections to frame your face. Next, twist your section away from your face while bring the section across the back of your head. Make sure to gently pull on the twist to create a soft swoop over your ear. Secure the twist to the left of the centre with bobby pins.
Step 4: Bring all of your hair across the back of your head to the left side.
Starting at the bottom, you want to begin bobby pinning your hair to the left of the centre.
*Make sure to create X’s with the bobby pins.
Step 5: Now bring all of your hair to the back of your head and gather it in your right hand and twist it clockwise while firmly holding it against your head. Play around with the shape and then secure the outside of your twist with some bobby pins, & if your hair is short you’ll be pinning your ends to your head. If you have any hair remaining, tightly twist it and discreetly tuck it into the twist.
Step 6: Secure the top and bottom of your twist with some bobby pins, and you’re done!

Hey everyone welcome back. I am so excited for today's video, because many of you have requested updos that can be created on short hair and I have the updo for you now. Don'T let this long hair fool you, this hairstyle can be done on all hair lengths. Alright, let's get started alright, so first step gather all of the hair at the crown of your head and give it a half twist to the left, and this will help add some detail. Then bobby pin the bottom of your twist into place and once secure just pinch and pull on small sections at your crown to add more volume and dimension. You guys already know next gather all of the hair on the right side of your head and now's. A great time to pull out any small sections to frame your face, then twist the section away from your face while bringing it across the back of your head and covering up those bobby pins from earlier now for more effortless appearance. Just gently pull on your twist to create a soft swoop over your ear, then secure the twist into place with some bobby pins. Just to the left of the center now bring all of your hair across the back of your head to the left side and starting at the bottom begin Bobby, pinning your hair to the left of the center. Now, if you have long roller pins, it'll make this step really easy and if not just create crosses with your bobby pins and it'll hold just the same once secure bring all of your hair towards the back of your head and gather it in your right hand, Then twist your section about half a twist clockwise while firmly holding it against your head. Now I went for an angled twist, but you could also keep yours vertical at this point. Don'T worry too much about this shape. Just begin roughly Bobby pinning that, outside of your twist to your head, and if your hair is short, this should be nice and easy since you'll be Bobby pinning your ends to your head. Now you can adjust the shape, loosen it up for a more undone appearance or keep your twists tight for a sleeker look. Now, if you have ends hanging out like me, good luck, but just tightly twist your ends and then discreetly tuck them up into the twist. This will also add more volume to your bun, now pin the top and bottom into place, and now you have an easy and elegant updo, so there we have it.
