Once you hit 30, you don't care about slaying anymore. I learned so many versions of how to say something is good and I have max capacity tell me all the things you think how to say things are good lit its fire. It'S Gucci. I know that would mean something different now rad know the long time ago, it's cool it's dope. What'S the newest one, I taught you. Oh, it's a unit, everyone Kayleigh your friendly neighborhood, hair stylist here and today I'm trying out some tik-tok hair hacks and I'm scared, but let's do it so today, more than ever I need my sister Anna, Laura cuz. I have actually never gone on tick-tock. I am not familiar with the world of ticking or talking, and I need Anna Laura, so sis I have now made the ticking or talking drug twice, so we know how much help I need. It may really be good to be the second and final time you make that joke wasn't funny the first time it was great, I'm very excited about this yeah yeah, I love tick-tock. I do feel a little too old for tick-tock, but I love it. Oh, I'm glad you feel too old for tick-tock, because I feel like I'm coming in, like hello, hello, kids, whoa, I feel like. I should tell you that they don't do the well like that anymore, so it used to be like this. I think I taught you that one a few like months ago, where it's like a steering wheel, kind of thing yeah now they hit it here, almost like a preparation for a low block yeah. Oh, that's: the old school preparation, changing things so I'm here I see your shoulder and then down by your hip, say good whoa. Well, yeah! I look so cool right now. I need your help. Anna Laura! Obviously, if you sure Dom this is another one of kind of an antelope reduced to video, she has gone through tick-tock. She has discovered what I'm gon na do. I have no idea what I'm doing today, like normally, we talked through stuff a little bit. I have. I have no proof that fully no idea, so this is all going to be a true surprise. So what is it? Are we doing hair hacks? We are as there's hashtag hair hacks on tik-tok and it was just Oh to a world, so you're gon na experience that for the first time today, I've picked out four videos that we're going to try to recreate okay, um, and then I actually want you to Choose one of those and we're actually gon na make it tick, tock tick, tock! First, let's get you on tick, tock. First, okay, are you gon na show me the the tick tock I'm gon na? Need you to stop, say the first one: let's go dark roots or oily hair, cocoa powder and baby powder makes you want your hair to smell like chocolate, sis massage into roots she's, applying it with a brush, that's kind of a fun idea. Oh and that's it yeah, that's it! It'S just a couple of seconds, long! Okay! This is another one, greasy hair, no time to wash no rice, flour, corn, flour, bicarbonate soda baking, soda tea tree oil, woof mix all well take a brush and apply and rub and discount, but you can decide which one is it you think would be better. Can I just point out them this suppose on Pinterest like nine years ago? This is how it's getting to the youth, though the youth is aren't on Pinterest, so one person kind of figured something out now: they're all copying each other with the same music in the back yeah cool, real original yeah to be lots of a hater. These are all absorbent starches, so they will absorb oil commonly a lot of these things are in dry shampoos. It'S not necessarily wrong, but I have found that dry shampoos tend to work better. Okay, we'll give it a try, we're gon na. Let you play chemist all right. Let me see what should these two I actually have here. I might not have any of this stuff Anna, oh, you could make your own version, though. Okay, I'm gon na, go in my kitchen and see what I can find BRB. My entirely scientific way of doing this is going to be to feel the product like. I just want to feel what it feels like between my fingers and compare it to products that I like and see if I can make something decent. This is a fun challenge. Video, I did not expect this yeah. Oh, this actually feels kind of like a batiste dry shampoo a little bit. Oh right, yeah, because this one is potato starch, tapioca, flour, baking, soda and psyllium husk fiber, so the first three are definitely good dry shampoo ingredient. Let'S see what corn starch feels like, I don't think I like this one so much it doesn't like it would be absorbent, but it's too slick she's super slippery, not something that I want. Listen. You'Re only gave me this challenge. I think this is too flowery. The actual like one-to-one flower yeah, that's gritty, yeah, it's too much alright and then the last one to try the feel of his baking powder. I kind of like that for a little bit of grit. She says: no, I don't. When I was a kid, I used to think that cocoa powder would taste so good, even though my mom was like no, it doesn't taste good. It just smells good. I had to do it one day I ate a whole spoonful of cocoa powder. Was that, like the cinnamon challenge, Oh surprisingly, write it up a little bit is not a lot just a little bit all right. Let'S just do a nice big, ol, scoop of egg replacer, so I'm gon na start and I'm gon na do my side. Now you have to have an idea: it's like I've, been a concentrator for 10 years or something I don't know, you're thriving right now, all right! Well, I did my best. You ready to put it on your head. Oh yeah, so ready for this. Oh, that feels weird. Now you rub it in dandruff. Kayle yo check blinds me again again again again: no do it in m4k show the people you've been exposed. Yuck, your hair looks like it needs to be like blended, with some milk and butter right now. Oh getting some of the Brio Geo dry shampoo into this little box. I mean this is still more that I typically put in when I do this one cuz. The brush really applies a lot there. You go ah yeah, you know they're they're, formulating with absorbing ingredients and styling ingredients, but also it's probably, I would bet Mills differently. This is probably finer, whereas that one's meant for eating, so it doesn't matter so much so. Here'S the deal I've seen these kind of DIY dry shampoo recipes for my entire online career, and I've wanted to make a video on idea why dry, shampoo in I've tried every recipe. I'Ve done every little thing I tried making my own recipes. It has never gone well for me mostly. I just wanted to illustrate to the rest of you. It'S worth it to buy dry, shampoo, yeah and honestly, if you're gon na go through all the work of like finding your flowers and powders and putting in your hair. Just take a shower no judgement because, like you see my hair right now, but that's a lot of work, would you say this tik-tok hack is busted yeah busted all right? Well, Matt. Are we ready for the next one? I think so? How'S your hair? I'M really excited for a shower now. Alright, this one, I'm very excited to see if it works. Oh models get that I lift hair hat. Oh No! Oh, oh, my god Wow! I have literally never seen that before though, yes, you did it. I finally did it, so I think mostly in drag culture. They actually have things where it's like a tape that you put next to your hairline on either side and then there's a bungee that goes around the back, so that you can like face. Lift yourself seems bad for your skin. You know, probably, but I've never thought about doing that. My hair, I definitely accidentally buy myself a facelift with a ponytail before yeah and also headache usually, but this is like very, like select pieces yeah. I think we should both try it yeah, I'm in ok. Let'S do it, I don't know is my face even saggy enough to humblebrag. Okay, let's see mine has a for real difference. When I pull on this I mean this is the difference. Yeah yeah. Alright, I don't know if I want my pons I'll be pulling that watch, but yeah it's definitely different. Those hurt where they pull them, alright, which one should I do, though I think like a cheekbone left yeah. I think me too, like right here, so I'm really interested to see if this works. I'M really excited that you haven't seen this before I'm shocked, oh goodness, gracious! I would not recommend doing this every day unless you just don't want to have hair next to your face, because this is a very good way to experience, traction alopecia, that's a hair loss from wearing your hair, really tightly pulled back in the same way over and Over and over again, my face definitely is changing, shape, ready before whoa ooh. My skin feels very taut right here it looks hot. You lost your little crow's feet. Oh, I know I said little the corners that my eyes feel snatched wow. I can't tell that you have hair back, though no me neither, I thought my cheekbones are poppin. I feel like I said that thing that I'm always trying to do with my makeup is happening. It'S not comfortable know what it's not also. My ponytail is like exposing me turn around turn around all the way show the people right there, oh gosh you're, exposing me so fun, I feel so vulnerable you're. So snatched I can't get over that listen. I love my face. I think my face is great, but that's making me think about cosmetic procedure, so I think that this hack worked. I think so. I think you have to sell your hair in the back to make sure that it's right, I'm gon na get exposed yeah. I have a headache already and this feels real tight. I definitely would not do this every day, but if you're like really going for it and you're doing the full eye and eyelashes and hair fake tan yeah go ahead and snatch pony yeah, why not Wow there you go. It works, not an everyday thing. Are you sold on this tuktuk hair hack a little bit Wow miss confirm, I admit it whoa all right next, one yeah here it is no volume. Try it what okay ready to see the result. Yeah looks like the McDonald's arches are doing it. We'Re gon na get lifted routes dang it. I thought for a second. She was like, oh and now go out with it like that, like she did the one from the back and some be like. Oh gosh, I was really scared for a second there. Alright, so clip from the back clip from the front spray here dry, so I'm trying to like the front go on either side of the clip yeah. I decided my part and clip. My name is princess, this Shih Tzu and I'm ready for you. Maybe I should sue, but I'm not sure this again. Well, I'm ready for my jaunt around the national dog show arena ready to bring home the gold. Now we spray, you know we spray, I'm gon na use the Amika Fluxus touchable hairspray. I love the smell of this she's in dog, show mode, [ Applause ]. Alright, we ready to take this out yeah. Alright, let's take out the back one first, it looks crazy, Oh something very wrong, let that be documented. Oh my gosh! What I look like, I'm in ten eyes, man tick-tock your lady down, alright, so you're supposed to fluff it and move it like it's not supposed to come out totally ready to go. I mean I think it gave me a little lift yeah. Alright, I think it did. I my knees, lift more lifted and firmer. My hair is on Jackson for salvation that's true day, so it does have like this little, probably like what half inch lifts and that wasn't there before. So I don't know this isn't any better than just like picking it up and back combing it well. I would almost do both together. Oh wait saying that you like this: well, it's not gon na last all day yeah, but I think if you've gone through your whole day and you're doing a quick little freshen up from work to out right and you want like a lifted route. It works. Myth confirmed all right last one: are you ready for this? I think so right. This is like more of the tutorial aspect. I will say on tick tock in general, when I was looking for a tutorial, I didn't see a ton of originality. A lot of them are like very simple things. You can do like here's, how you do a pony tail. Here'S how you do this, but this is the most interesting one. Okay, so we're gon na go with it. Oh it's like crocheting with hair. I think it's called a chain - great okay. I believe I think I've seen this before on Instagram, that's really cool. How did they finish it? I don't know they don't show you that cool you're gon na have to make up your own version, but alrighty. I guess we need to find that kind of comb sounds awesome all right. Let me let me see it one more time through section and you twist it and then you pick up a new piece of hair and it comes through. How do you get it through? So easily that they, she doesn't really show. Oh okay, every time it skips Wow cutting out the hard part of the video like alright. Well, let me see if I can do it under over okay and then we're gon na pick up a piece of hair and you throw it back through these. That'S not bad. Under over pick up any piece of hair oops, I made a mess, but I did the first one correctly: okay, okay, let's try one more time and buy one more time I mean until I get it 2,000 years later. Oh feels good. It'S not my favorite work, but it's alright. You know, I didn't think I at least figured out a way to end it. I am feeling a little bit salty about this. I'M gon na do a little video tour for you, guys. Here'S how it went. We'Ve got the first one, which is nice and clean because I sectioned it and then we go through this. These are the snarls of which I spoke every time. I pulled something forward. These little guys were like me too, and now you can't really see the distinct area of the braid, but then, as you get further around, I realized I could pull the section and get it clean, and so these couple ones are a lot cleaner, because I did The section first and then pulled it through not what I was shown in the tic-tock, but it worked and then I finished it by only pulling this last piece through and not twisting it and then Bobby pinning this little loop. So the end is actually pretty cool. If I do say so, myself tick-tock Kaylie Melissa, you guys decide. I did bring the braid a little bit too far around to the front. I see that now that I see here from the front just had to tell you guys that before you see her before, I see myself little star wars on that side, Oh looks like our snatched tail. It worked, but it needed more explanation right. I'Ve not been on tick-tock, but I've seen a lot of reposted tutorials yeah, and that seems to be the general theme. Is that, like you got these pretty satisfying moments, but it's cutting out about 30 to 50 percent of the tutorial to do so yeah. I definitely agree with that. Yeah I feel like I learned something new, but also it definitely wasn't great on its own right cool, but then I think that almost busted cuz you couldn't do it the way that they were showing it. You had to make up your own version. I execute the final phone night all right, so the only kind of video that we didn't do that is very present on tick. Tock is heat, styling videos. I had to show this to you because there's something about this. That looks very, very familiar. No, they freaking! Didn'T! Oh my god! That'S your haircut! Okay, Kelly, wait! Wait before you say anything! This is literally called the tick-tock Flatiron. Oh, yes, it's literally a hashtag tick-tock Flatiron. So without knowing it your tick-tock favors, I am mad and very excited flashback. I made a video what would that have been like 2016-17, where I showed my no twisting Flatiron curls, and I do it where you do. Like half way around and then you slide it through right, then, when we're making the time versus Beach waiver video, I realized that you could wrap 360 around and pull it through, and that would give you a curl. So those were two methods that I created, that didn't exist in the world and now is tick tock famous mm-hmm. Where is my residuals, and what here is that, three years ago and the day of all the old September 3rd 2016, I created the tick tock curl before a tick, tock existed haha all right well get some footage of you doing on here. While I go make you a tick tock all right, so you go. If you want to go in from your face, you wrap it away, put it through the iron clothes light it down. That'S the curl! I have a lot of hairspray on the ends of my hair right now, so I got ta loosen that up. It'S way easier than putting the iron in and twisting it, especially if you have really really long hair wrap it around the back, put it through clothes and slide. There you go. I mean my hair was already curls, but now it's more curls, okay, so we're gon na make a tick tock. With my little hair hat she's ready for her tick, tock debut. She is okay, ready, yeah! Let me hear the music I'm a next dancer. I can do this, do you know the count, so you have like a whole eight count to do it and then four counts to pull it off cool that was too much fun yeah, making a tick-tock. I was counting out. The eight counts yeah. I was thinking about the lyrics I was thinking about like where my eyes were looking at. How my hand was that was, I just did a dance routine with hair she's addicted I've created a monster, so we did the dry shampoo. I will never never never do that again. Listen if any of you guys have a DIY dry, shampoo recipe that you love. Let me know in the comments below, but I'm gon na go ahead and tell you guys. I'Ve tried everything, that's been on Pinterest and I don't like it yeah, so dying, didn't work. I didn't have high hopes. Oh snap now detail yeah um Wow. That would never have seen that before never have thought about it. Even though I've seen those little tape things so many times ground, breaking that's everything, tick-tock is there for it loved it would use it under the right circumstances, yes, a check and then the McDonald's route, the McDonald's roads. You know what I don't see it like. I said it doesn't last yeah I do you think, with a firm hold hairspray and maybe a little bit more time with the heat. Maybe, with the cool, maybe add in a little back coming yeah I mean I think it could be part of this voluminous hair routine right, but I don't think it's on its own. It'S it's like they always say in the little cereal. Commercial is like part of the nutritious breakfast yeah part of your voluminous hair style, routine, not the exclusive extent of not the entirety, but still a grudging Chuck. I think it's a check because it so was inventive. Yeah, I haven't seen it for yeah. The last thing we did was that a chain link thing I mean it is a hairstyle. It is obviously ended up being something it looks really pretty when she did it, and I don't think it's the difference in like hair texture, like maybe somebody was really naturally thick straight hair, right, um or the wig hair works really really well. If you really wanted to do it, okay, you really like how that looks. Yeah it's you want to section everything and get it clean and then pick it up with your comb right and then you can bobby pin at the end right. That'S what the tutorial was missing, but I think if you followed it on its own, you wouldn't necessarily get there yeah. I think you would have gotten a yeah, so I'm gon na give it a no, but you could switch it to a yes. If you add in the appropriate techniques, alameen and then well blast, we did was to make your first tick-tock. Maybe my first stick talk with my old hair hack, you're high for 2016. What the world! I just love that, like how hard you were hating on the DIY hair, like how it's like you're, like this has been around, this has been all over Pinterest and now that's you oh hold on was thinking about that. There have been a couple times in my life, where I put new things out to the Internet and it just gets like washed into the ether. You know - and it doesn't have anything to do with me anymore and to an extent like I'm happy cuz people are learning how to style their hair with the Flatiron. It'S a happy happy thing, but also like it's hard work and it's little piece of my heart. Yeah but anyway, all of you know you universe for four years ago. I'M sure you guys, if you are on tick-tock you've seen that and you've been like wait a second. This is Kaylee Melissa's, hairstyle yeah. We know anyway anyway. Thank you for, if you didn't know that, thank you but making the tick-tock was too fun. Yeah, so y'all can follow her on Tik Tok at Caylee Melissa and I might be posting some hair tutorials time to music because she just had so much fun with that. Mary Thomson: For a new series, I’d love to see you help specific viewers and their hair problems! We could send in a short video explaining our difficulties and you could recommend styling tips and whatnot to help!

blueprint.: I've been knowing that flat iron trick for 15 years. So it definetly did exist in the world, maybe just not online xD

Science_is_Never_Settled: The "put starch in oily hair" hack was in full use in the 18th century.

Felicia Bourque: This was so funny and entertaining at the same time love it. As for the dry shampoo hack Baby powder works great as well. I wonder if setting powder will work.

RBlackburnification: Kayley, I've been watching you for several years and have always loved your videos. You've taught me how to do so many braids and hair hacks! But I always was annoyed at how inconsistently you posted (because I wanted more videos). But this past year I have noticed your consistency. And have grown to love you and your personality and expertise more in this one year than all the previous ones. And I love that you have your sister join your videos. Congratulations on your year anniversary! I don't do social media so that was the first time I heard about your personal life and just want to thank you for sharing. Your relationship with your sister reminds me of how I am with my younger sisters. And its nice to see you be a little vulerable. Keep doing your thing girly

Hannah Dare: This is hilarious! Kayley I feel you girl.. I know nothing about this world... this is like an educational video for me

Brianna Belliconish: Hey! I've been seeing a lot of hair techniques on pinterest with fake hair/head only mannequins. They make it look SO SIMPLE. Can you do a video similar to this on the validity of these hair hacks? ❤

Constance: I would actually want a full tutorial of that crochet braid!!

Luella Ruhter: It’s so good to see how happy u are and knowing your sister(and I’m sure your family) have been with u. What a blessing. Love your videos

Lauren Asuzano: I literally wish my hair looked like yours more and more every day

Celestial Loch Arts: I use talc when I’ve run out out dry shampoo and that works, I find that baby powder works well and medicated talc is good for my scalp psoriasis. But nothing works as good as a can of dry shampoo imo.

Larriet Darling: I was doing that with my straightener ~2009. It's how I would touch up my natural curls.

Shauni: 22:42 Sister goals ❤️ AnnaLaura has been a wonderful edition to the channel

Lady Chris Here: Lol the flat iron curl has been a thing for ever. I had my hair done like that over 12 years ago!

Sarah Vizz: As a fellow former dancer, I love how you were counting the 8 counts in the TikTok

Ellen Osborne: Ughh I used to do the cocoa powder and corn starch like 10 years ago! I was working out one day and legit smelled like brownies... never did it again! Just pay for the dry shampoo, people!

Maddie Tillem: FYI: Cute Girls Hairstyles has a tutorial on how to do that braid with your hands. It's so much easier!

Rachel Frumkin: I LOVE the shade of your tik tok!!!! You tell them queen.

Rox: wait, this sounds crazy... but idk if you have seen the trend "dressing like my playlist" you could do that but with hair with songs you currently like or overall are your favorite hehe <3

Jamie Yerk: That sister moment at the end had me tearing up. That support system is so important during tough times. I love the love you two have for each other.

Ryan Forthewin: 3:51 Wait Kayley lives in a house!? I thought she lived in front of a colored background!

Kelly Hills: People who get you through those dark days right after a divorce, of feeding you and getting you out of bed, showered, and taking those steps to mimic functional life, are angels. It’s even better if they’re relatives. ❤️

Megan Fantes: I love this video! You two look like you are having so much fun! And I am so glad that you vindicated yourself and made a tik tok specifically saying that YOU created that hack in 2016

supkowideo: Very fine, thin (see-through) hair + cornstarch-based baby powder works so well. The silky cornstarch is the right amount of "grit" for finer hair and is easier to work into dark hair. To avoid white splotches, shake the powder onto your hands then apply to roots. Better yet, apply some at night and it's not as obvious in the morning but still absorbs oil.

rachellarisey: I see that Pro Hair Tie, AL! I bought those because of y'alls review! I love them! The info in the packet said you should only wrap twice though, so I cut mine to custom fit the thickness of my hair. It won't fit around my wrist. Do you wrap yours 2x or 3x? Thanks!

Alyssa Bouvier: I honestly love how your channel has evolved to be you and your sister! You guys are always having a blast together and it’s awesome to watch!

Siggy's Fascinations: The one from the American Duchess 18th century beauty book is my favorite, i make that just about every month. (Bernadette Banner has a video of them, and a very charming woman from Not Your Momma's History on instagram using this, and a few other beauty secrets from our Revolutionary war ancestors) absolutely worth a perusal.

Amber Gerrard: We know you made it Kayley!!! And YES shout out to Anna Laura, been loving all these videos that you’ve helped on and I get excited when I see that you guys post

Susan Miller: I splurged on the body powder scent of my favorite perfume. Sprinkle it on. Shake your head. Works great. Also if you are in a hurry loose setting powder does work, esp in the hair part because it blends out.

Meg Swanson: Thank you for knowing that theres a difference between knitting and crocheting and getting it right!

Cultivating Beauty: Yes! I made a Tik Tok video once of a makeup routine, and I couldn’t leave it up!! I felt like a dinosaur. And I have been using your curl with a flat iron hack since the original publishing. OG!

Bex: I had a hair stylist do the "tik tok curl" on my hair about 6 years ago, so I think people have been doing it for a long time

thefallenmyst: From one old fogey to another, that TikTok joke was pretty amazing. People under 30 wouldn't understand.

My Quirky Lady: You two are amazing, love your sister bond. Kayley you are an inspiration truly. I finally followed through with applying for school after watching you. ❤️

Debbi Surman Hobbs: That flatiron trick has been around for at least two decades. Us "older" gals used it in the 90's, but we made it work with the wider plate or a large barrel curling iron. I went to cosmetology school in 2007 and it was a go to move for most of us.

Zarina Myr: I know people say it a lot but I love your relationship with Anna Laura. It's been so much fun having her in your videos!!

I Allen: Lovely to see you so happy. Been learning from you for years. Thank you.

Susan Allman: Oh goodness I love you two!!!!! Actually was thinking the crochet style would work better WITH an appropriate size crochet hook.

Lt M: I've actually found that cornstarch works amazingly well as dry shampoo, I don't find it worth it to spend money on a commercial dry shampoo with chemicals

Emmy Monson: I use 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 2/3 cup corn starch & a couple drops of lavender essential oil & it works super well! I wouldn’t say better than regular dry shampoo but definitely more natural & less chemicals on your hair!

k a t h r i n: It feels like you‘re so much happier since you lived with your sister :)

Hannah Dare: I remember when you created that hair hack! I can’t believe tik tok took your idea!

Emily Pope: I learned how to do my favorite 1 minute messy bun on til tok! I use it all the time . No mirror or anything

olivia: The new Kayley is low key savage

Ashleigh Sanders: I'm 34, been using baby powder to dry out oily hair since 2002. Also, it helps give you volume.

WildTXRose: Brad Mondo did a video of the best drug store brands of dry shampoo, checking for the powdery residue and the ones that don't leave a residue. That may be a good idea, but expand the spectrum of products including the higher end products. This works too, and I have no idea of what tic tock is either so don't feel bad about it, I'm not

FruitsFantasyKingdom: The second to last tutorial reminded me of Anna's magic half-, half-down braid from Frozen 2. I call it magic because I cannot see how it ends or begins! Can you do a hair tutorial video for the hairstyles seen in Frozen 2?!

Sam Cam: Don’t worry I never forgot you showed that technique back in 2016! I still share that with friends and then give you all the credit

Ivey Young: Kaylee's laugh after she put the powder in your hair made my whole day lol it was like an adora le evil laugh

Amanda: I laugh so hard at videos with you and Anna Laura. I laughed at the lip sucker so loudly it woke my husband, lol. I’m so glad you brought her on board! I makes me wish I grew up with a sister. Been watching for a few years but never commented. (Homeschooling momma of 4 from Cincinnati) Thanks for all of your hard work on your YouTube channel.

QuiteLight: The "facelift" goes back quite a ways... I remember reading Marlene Dietrich used to do that daily, pulled so tight it gave her terrible headaches. I also remember seeing it done with tiny temple braids pinned tightly in vintage beauty books. I'm a vintage beauty geek.

Tara Mills: Omg I remember that hack! I legit watched that video and did it to my own hair And I am pretty sure that I showed quiet a few people that video! Get it girl!!!! It’s my fave

Megan Keaveny: I laughed when they were talking about how the youth aren't on Pinterest cuz like I am and then I realized I don't keep up with any social media like tiktok and was like Well guess I'm really actually 30 on the inside

Natalie Seifert: I've never had luck with dry shampoo - my hair always looks oily and separated again within like a half hour. I've had the best luck with baby powder tbh, I've used it for years. Maybe I've just been trying the wrong dry shampoos..any recommendations? I have really fine, straight hair very prone to oiliness

cindylou1108: You are the first one I’ve seen that shows me in detail how to do the straightener to create curl. Thank you. Subscribed

MrSasyB: I've done the cocoa powder thing! Many times! When you are out of dry shampoo, baby powder and bicarbonate soda it's a winner (but bicarb will remain grainy in the hair and itch if you have dermatitis like me) the cocoa just helps get rid of the white film baby powder or cornstarch can leave on your hair

LizzyM68: I use baby talc. I put it on my hands, rub them together and then rub it in my hair. It works really well.

Rishro29: I do arrowroot powder and cocoa powder for dry shampoo. Always works for me! Anyone who wants a DIY dry shampoo give it a shot guys, might work for you.

Karen Green: I use cornflour and cocoa powder for a dry shampoo. It works really well.

Elizabeth Ann: The flat iron hack. I learned it from you first, then saw it on instagram because I dont have tiktok.

SaraWhiteWolf: When you recognize your own technique. Lol now your tik tok famous!

heyheyitskaren: I did the flat iron method years ago almost 10 years now That was the only way I knew how to curl my hair

MissAshleySpade: Festival hairstyles! We NEED festival hairstyles! From you and Al. The more obnoxious the better! 2020 self love!

Kate Edwards: You guys are giving me the feels! <3

emma stone: I love kayley’s laugh, it reminds me of tess’s laugh from camp rock :)

M Brown: Ahh that's what sisy's are for !!! You guys are so cute you remind me of my sister and I!! Love watching your videos!!! Way to go ladies!!

Kiki Dainton Piacente: I love the dynamic you two have together!!!

Cobaltium - Erin W.: You guys rock. Thanks for the laughs!

Emily S: Hey Kailey! I love your videos and I love you and your sister’s energy! I have wavy/curly hair and I’ve been looking around for some other hair-focused YouTubers who have curly hair focus more on curly hair care and styling! Do you have any recommendations??

Stevie Kimber: Love your closing comments! You guys remind me of me and my little sister, there's nothing else in the world like that sister bond! <3

JudyLovesNaps: yes we definitely saw it here first. I find tik tok so cringey. I just can't get into it personally haha you two have such a special sister bond. It's so amazing that Anna laura was there for you when you really needed her the most and has continued to help support you in so many ways and I think your channel has flourished within the past year. The content has been excellent and consistent and we are here for it!

Janette Cooper: you two are sooo !!! good together I was smiling the whole video... :) hugs

Lori Leggett: You both cracked me up to the point of blowing water out of my nose during the “Lifted Root dog show” scene, so funny! After that I had to subscribe

Kelly Huynh: there’s a vid on roxette arisa’s channel where ariana grande’s hairstylist explains and gives a tutorial on the facelift hack

Megan Taylor: I'm not on tiki Tok but I like the flat iron hack. I must have missed it on your other videos but I'm going to try it!

MrsJShepherd1: Curly girls have been clipping their roots for years - we do it on wet hair & using smaller sections, then diffuse or air dry.

Skuldisir: Hey, I love watching your ideas. You have some great ones! While I don't know the origin of the Flat-Iron curl hack, Paul Mitchell stylist were being trained in that technique at least back in 2008-2009. We called it "Hair Ribboning." I really do love your content, Your hair you did for Safiya Nygaard's wedding was AMAZING! So pretty!

Just*Jen*: I’ve never seen that flat iron trick done online or anything, but I’ve been doing it on myself without knowing it was a “hack” for at least 10+ years

Ashley M: I remember seeing the flat iron technique all the way back in 2009 lol. There were so many videos about it.

Libby Walker: For the twisty round the back hair braid thingy at roughly 13 minutes, do you think you could do two, one from each side and somehow link them to finish off? Just a thought.

lisa gilmore: If I need to quickly freshen my hair, I use a tiny tiny bit of talc! I'm almost bleach blonde naturally or I don't think it would work, you'd see the white on darker hair

pinkrose1115: “Once you hit 30 you don’t care about slaying anymore...” I felt that one in my bones

mcazi17: I've used loose translucent setting powder as a dry shampoo and it low key works lol

Kit Trzebunia: OMG, you two are hilarious

Beth Soule: For that chain link hair style, couldn't you actually use a big crochet hook so it would help pull the hair through in a clean way?

Kristi B: The straight iron method in the video has been around for a long time. My hairdresser taught me that back in 2009 while we were practicing wedding hairstyles.

Alexandra Ekstrand: I love corn starch for a dry schampoo! Just straight corn starch, nothing else. I've used it for nearly ten years. I apply it with a makeup brush, massage it in and brush it out

Debs Z: In this 7 years I've been subscribed to Kayley, today was the fasted I've clicked in one of her videos

Lily8909: Your sister looks so much like a young Sarah Michelle Gellar, I need to go watch Buffy after this.

Taylor Millenbine: I remember watching your video three years ago. I knew that hack looked familiar when I saw it on Tik Tok.

Ellen Osborne: The sister moment at the end ❤️

PinkPineapple96: Oh you can just use baby powder actually for dry shampoo. Smells nice too.

Anna_Kesselman: I love your style Kayley! where do you shop your clothes? you have so much cute sweaters :-) and Anna Laura too :-)

Linh Nguyen: you reciting the different ways to say awesome was adorable

Beki Gates: I love dry shampoo but if I'm staying at a friend's or family's and haven't packed dry shampoo - I'm always able to find talc in a cupboard somewhere and substitute with it! An oldie but a goodie.

Kelly Connelly: I’ve recently cut 7 inches off my hair, just at my collar bone. Then every time I watch your videos I feel the urge to go shorter

First Klass Health and Wellness, Inc.: I'm dying! You guys are so hilarious!!!!

Arin Mahmud: 5:50 omg Kayley, you're soooo cute!! It was like watching an excited kid

Pretty Pockets: It's interesting how there is really no way of saying you brought something that didn't exist into the world. That flat iron hack has been around since way before 2016. Kayley just didn't know someone else had thought of it when she on her own thought of it later. When she posted it was her own unique idea, she was doing what this tick tock person is doing that has Kayley upset. Kayley didn't know someone else had posted it prior to 2016. The tick tock girl probably didn't know Kayley had posted it years ago either. It happens. They both did it. I'm sure Kayley isn't going to give her revenue from that video in 2016 to the people who posted this idea before her. Just like tick tock isn't going to give Kayley royalties for it either. No matter if she wants it. It's kind of how the world goes. When we think of something we think it is ours and no one else has ever done it. Just like Kayley did when she posted it to you tube as her original idea even though others had done it before. And just how the tick tocker did when she posted it thinking it was her idea. If Kaley isn't going to take down her 2016 video in deference to those that did it before her, she also can't be upset at those doing it after her. As long as it's not blatant copying (which this isn't for the tick tocker or Kayley in 2016) then that's just life. People who are working with flat iron curls in hair might think of the same thing all on their own. It happens. There is only so much you can do with flat iron curls. Of course more than 1 person will have the same idea. It doesn't mean Kayley copied in 2016 and it does not mean this girl copied 4 years later. There really isn't much completely original that no one has ever thought of before. It's just putting your own spin on ideas. And that's ok.

riffatcherrymirza: I been doing the flat iron curl for years.. I didn't realise not many people knew about it..
