Serein

Hi guys welcome back to my channel if you're new, I'm serene and my channel is called dress yourself happy. Today'S video is very special to me because I teamed up with women's rogaine to interview a celebrity hairstylist and women's rogaine spokesperson Jill Crosby. If you follow me over on my blog channel, you would have seen a little behind the scenes of my interview and how amazing my hair looked after that interview. As you guys know, if you've been following me for a while or if you listen to my podcast female hair loss is a very important subject to me because growing up, I watched my mom, my beautiful, amazingly confident mom suffer from hair loss. She really really took a hit to her confidence and it really hurt me to see that and at the time there wasn't that many options for women dealing with hair loss. There was Rogaine for men and my dad was using it, but there wasn't anything for females. It'S a really tough memory that I have of my mom with her lack of confidence whenever thinking about her hair and how it's thinning. I actually have a couple friends in their late 20s and early 30s, who are also dealing with hair loss and again watching these. Incredibly, strong beautiful women just lose confidence over thinning hair and thinking that something's wrong with them, and that they're alone in this is really heartbreaking. Because, after doing more research and after opening up the dialogue over on my podcast, a lot of you guys have come forward and said you have had hair loss as a female, so great about women's Rogaine is that they want to open up the dialogue. They obviously have this amazing treatment for you to use once a day, it's very easy to use, but they also want us to talk about the situation. I really value that in a brand that I want you guys to know. You'Re not alone. Entire interview with Jill is on the podcast behind the beauty you can find it on iTunes. You can also download it directly from the podcast website, which are both linked in the description box below. So if you'd like to listen more about what Jill has to say in terms of being a celebrity hairstylist and very found in the hair world, of her experience with women and thinning hair and how she deals with women with thinning hairs and how we can also Style, our hair, to make it look a little bit fuller to kind of disguise the thinning. I think it's very educational and very insightful hearing from Jill, but I also think it's a really great opportunity to learn a little bit more about hair loss and how you are not alone and what the difference is between hereditary hair loss, which is what women's Rogaine Treats versus other types of hair loss and how you can tell whether it's hereditary or if it's caused by something else, this video I'm going to actually show you what Jill did to create this amazing hairstyle, which I'll talk you through, but Jill literally within 10 minutes, Made my hair look so much better just by changing up my part, we didn't even wash my hair, these tips that she shares with me and as she's styling, my hair, I'm going to be sharing with you in case you're dealing with hair loss, while you might Be seeking treatment. There is a period of hair growth and hair cycle, so, whatever treatment you decide to go with it's going to take about three months for you to notice a change and that's because of the hair growth cycle, not three month period. What you can do to kind of make yourself feel a little bit better by styling your hair differently. You guys have noticed on my channel you've been saying how great my hair looks all thanks to Jill Crosby, and I want to thank women's Rogaine for hooking me up with Jill being able to pick her brain and for her to show me and share with you Guys how to style your hair for fuller, thicker, hair and to kind of maybe hide some of the thinning hairline areas like I have really really high temples, and she kind of shows you a couple tricks on how to make your hair feel a little bit more. Full starting off Jill is just taking a look at my hair, and you can see it's very straight very flat on top - and this has been my part for years decades, so Jill's showing how, if you just lift a little bit of hair over it suddenly gives Me a lot more volume and a lot more thickness, but my temples are very, very high and you can see I'm missing hair right on the front, so she's pulling some of my side bangs and giving me a little bit of that coverage where I would like It but then accentuating the part of the same time and we're just kind of like playing with it and she's, showing me how this part just really changes things up, adding a little bangs to cover up the other side of my temples and then building up the Volume in the back and really adding texture is going to give me the illusion of fuller, thicker hair and also covering my really really high front hairline. So we're just discussing how to go about that and she's just gon na spray down my hair with some water and I've been doing this myself and then she's using a thickening, volumizing mousse and just putting that into the tops of my hair and then underneath. You can see how she's getting it underneath as well. Also as Jill is applying the mousse into my hair for volume and thickness and texture she's, pulling it up and then she's blow-drying it using her hands. Because we want to maintain as much texture for my hair as much as possible and the only time she's using a round brush, is to create this see for my bangs to give it that curl to make it stay and to cover my temples and high hairline. So she's just using it for their that end and then she's using it on the other side to give give it that like curve and that unique see for it to fall very full and stay where it needs to stay and out of my face. But everywhere else she's using her hands, because that creates more texture and more volume and a lot of people will use a round brush for all over the hair and then take all the texture out and then have to re. Add it in so she says: that's counter productive, so you don't want to do that so now. My hair looks amazing already just like this look, how much fuller my hair looks - and this was just water - a blow dryer and some mousse. So now she's taking a pretty large barrel, she's curling up my hair but she's leaving the ends out and it's really important to leave the ends out to not even give it like a messy beachy look but really just for texture and to give my hair some Lift and some variety because my hair is so heavy and like flat, essentially so and then as it cools, you want to pull it down a little bit to avoid it from like doing the curly sue, look and she's just doing this again, you can see she Wraps around the barrel, but she doesn't clamp down and she doesn't really let the ends get curled and she's, not even curling the underside of my hair she's, just kind of doing it all around and then breaking up the pieces applying a little bit of paste. Some sort of like texturizing paste, wax Paul made. Apparently my hair can hold a lot more product than I thought it could. But I always thought it weighed my hair down, but it's all about how you style and what kind of products you're using and where you're using it so she's, just applying it to the ends, giving it that texture and that PC look and guys. I just felt like a million bucks after this, so I hope you guys enjoyed today's video and seeing Jill styling my hair. I hope you guys are able to take some of these tips in your own hair styling at home, and if you are interested in hearing the whole interview where Jill discusses, hair loss and being a celebrity stylist in her background, make sure you check out the podcast Which is linked in the description box below it's a really amazing, podcast or second traffic? It'S a great episode to listen to. If you have any questions, leave them in the comment section I'll do my best to respond. So you can follow me over on Twitter, snapchat. Instagram all those things I typically respond to my snaps and my tweets more frequently. If anything, I hope my video helped motivate and inspire you to look and feel your best from the outside. In I know when I look and feel my best, I am just more capable at dealing with whatever life has to throw at me. I know after I got my hair done from Jill. I felt like a thousand percent better, like I just felt so much more confident and beautiful, and thank you so much Jill for like making me feel like a completely new woman. Thank you so much the women's rogaine for hooking me up with gel, and I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of your night. If anything, I hope my video helped you de-stress unwind from whatever it is you needed to unwind from that's why I watch YouTube. That'S why I started my channel and until next time I hope to see you guys right back here in my next video bye,

Lulu On Beauty and Life: Thank you. Since you have a connection to Rogaine, perhaps they can somehow work on the texture it leaves your hair after it dries. It looks greasy but feels dry, almost like it is ready to crack. Most hair pros say it is best to not wash hair daily to keep it healthy. But for those of us who use Rogaine, by the second hair it feels horrendous and looks filthy at the roots even though it is relatively clean. So what little hair is on top, looks doubly worse. Maybe their chemists can work on the formula? As much as I appreciate her styling hair, it would have been great to see her style a woman with very thinning hair. Thanks. Cheers, Lulu

Brandi Munguia: I'm 33 and have been dealing with hair loss due to lupus and hormonal changes from a hysterectomy. It has killed my confidence because my hair was always my security blanket and now without that, I have nothing to draw attention away from my insecurities.

Lynn1403: Hi Serein, love your channel :) Great styling tips for hair loss, however, if you already have few hair, regular overstyling can make your them look damaged eventually making your hair dependent from it. I also suffer from hair loss due to my thyroid disfunction. The best tip for everyday styling when you want volume is to use natural boar bristle brush and gently backcomb the hair at the crown. Works great and no heat needed :)

Micharon Matthews: Serene, I have to tell you. I've been subscribed to Tati for a long time. I started watching and later subscribed to your channel because I find your channel to be so informative, genuine, and refreshing. I just wanted to let you know that your mission is to help with your subscribers feel better about their day and you do that for me. Thank you, great video

Susi Ego: Thank you for addressing this huge concern for so many of us. It was so informative.

Maria LaBrie: I would love more tips and other hairstyles for thinning hair!!!

Natalie Camila: Great video! I'm excited to play with changing my part based on her tips!

Ray Elhage: Just came back from listening to the podcast to say - Thank you! So many good tips and so excited to try the hairstyles. BTW You looked stunning after the hairstyle xxx

Maro B.: Thank you Serein. This was very helpful. I am at the age now where hair loss is a daily thing.

Imar5d: What a great video! But then again.... you never disappoint. Blessings for the New Year!

tanja i: Such a great, noble thing talking about these problem(s) in this time of year! You're beautiful, noble, great young woman!

Elaine Bines: so lovely to discuss this as my daughter has a mild form - she is in her early 30's

Kristina Blarek: The podcast was awesome!!! Glad you didn't a short clip of it here you're amazing.

Chainsaw Kitten: I've heard that rogaine can makes things worse, that you could wind up losing even more hair. And considering it only works for 20% of the people who use it, is it worth the risk?

Pink Rose: You also need a great cut ! Hair looks very nice :} I was in one of the first trials for Rogaine, a long time ago. Women can us it too!!

IAmLyn: Thanks for sharing this video! It's one of my problem too, having a high temple. Not to mention all the baby hair on both side of my temple Happy Holidays!! Regards to your Mom ❤️

Donita S: Wow!! So needed this! Thank you Serein!

Milano B1: She did a great job. Your hair look amazing

Hakuna Matata: I am adding this to my view later because I need to show my mom this. Thank you!

The Darling Deb: Every day I lose more hair. It is something I deal with because I have lupus. It's really makes me feel sad. I was born with a full head of hair. It has always been thick and after I turned 30 it became curly too. I think my curls saved me in a way & my husband's love. I still have my days when the hair in the sink, brush or hands really gets to me but, I do try to use thinking products. Thanks for talking about this important subject. I'll be listening to the podcast soon. Love, Debbie

Mary_: Yessss omg I definitely needed this!!

T L: I was wondering if you have any videos that combine hair styles/cuts for thinning along with permanent hair loss from disease. I look at your hair and wish I even had close to that amount. I have lost a full, thick head of hair to extreme thinning and baldness due to lupus. Hair products like rogaine do nothing for me. I’m trying to find ways to hide the bald spots with the thin hair that’s all around it. If you have any suggestions or other videos, I’d be interested. :)

59cottoncandy: Are you taking the NutraFol vitamins? If yes, could you do a video describing your experience so far?

Misty Telling: I'm sorry for commenting so much, this is amazing. I need to cut my hair, it's too long. one of the problems I probably have adding to my receding. it's probably weighing it down more. so cutting this all off. you look amazing, ALWAYS.

Brynn Jornacion: What are the names of the products she used for your hair? Thanks!

Danial B: Loved this video:)

Melissa Mia Yates: I can't wait to try some of these....I have several reasons for hair loss but it is getting better but ....it just takes time.

THEE Luanne: I have to go listen to the Podcast! This video is amazing. #Snapchatfam

daphne liew: you look beautiful before and after. I actually really like your high forehead! Must be the Chinese in me lol. We Chinese are always oohing and ahhing over babies with high foreheads. I don't know if you've heard of the old wives' tale where a high forehead means extra intelligence? lol! Anyhow, on you, it just makes you look so innocent and pure. Merry and blessed Christmas babe! <3<3

soulminded: merry Christmas sereingreat video...have a great holiday with your hubs and family❤

J. B.: I would love it and appreciate it very much if someone that has an actual problem w thin hair that is thinning all over was used for an example on what to do when you are losing hair. This example in the video isn’t really applicable at all because the model has a ton of hair.

Misty Telling: also, ontop of it, my mom has AVM. she almost died twice from her arteries bursting. this ontop of the balding issue has made my mother always feel horrible about herself.

michikosan1: This video was awesome!

Sarah Lynn: Great topic, but as a woman with actual hair loss, I gotta say, I'd give the world to have hair as thick as yours. I'd love to see a video with a women who has real hair loss. Watching this just made me more depressed, because your scalp doesn't show through at all.

Jen Schrock: my hair has always been thin and the older I get, the thinner it gets. it stinks!

Stephanie O.: Amazing video. I would love to know what mousse she used

Misty Telling: my entire maternal side suffers from this badly. I am starting, not as bad as my sister and mom but there are tons of us who have this problem.

iris olguin: My moms hair is thin, my hair is thinning. It's the genes. Women with hair loss usually have hormonal imbalances, androgenic

amber love: love it... can u talk about the products?

theekaren g: I will be listening to the podcast over the weekend!! #snapchatfam

Just Kat: Lovely video Serein. Merry Christmas!!!

Shellie Matter: a lot more women deal with hair loss then one would think. you can't tell at the moment but pre bald I also suffered from hair loss.

Misty Telling: wow, she is awesome.

Amber Rose: Is there anything for genetic hair loss? I’m 35 and struggling ... :(

ANGELES HARRY: I love this video because I lost a lot of hair but also I lost 29 pounds so I don't know if is normal lost hair??

Gina2190: 1) do Not use shampoo with sodium Laurel sulphates in them instead , go natural non gmo or organic , sls causes hair loss ! 2) use a parasite cleanse of the gut . 3) onion juice can help hair growth apparently .

S a m: I am a loving son concerned for my madre and her hair loss any advice that works to grow her hair back.

Margaret Moore: Lost my butt length red hair when I was 24. 40 now. The problem with Rogaine etc is that if you lost it due to hormones there's nothing they can do about it. Not that I didn't try. I used it for two years. Just out of complete desperation. I've also used all sorts of off market herbs and things. You can get it cloned and implanted. But again, if you lost it due to hormones, your $6K will go down the drain. Tried Noxin. NuHair. Even latisse, oh yes I did, one little bitty tube after the other, I don't think it got up to 6K with latisse but it got close. LOL. I would do ANY THING. I sit every other night with odd helmets admitting weird lights. I could give my collection of hair producing lasers to the Smithsonian American museum. I'm sure I have all of them. When I was young people used to come up to me and tell me I had the most beautiful hair in the world. Now I have the spiked "what sport do you play?" cut. I do look more Soho than Long Island but I don't live in either so I'm not sure it matters that much. My hair dresser is ridiculously expensive and everyone makes fun of me for it but I'm like you'd pay $300 too not to walk around bald. People are so stupid. Looking into wigs. Has anyone had success with wigs?

Nguyen Bui: I'm 17 my hair is natural thin , old scalp . when I were younger my hair still normal but since I turned to 16 , my hair lose so much. Each time I wash my hair I alway see a buch of hair in the ground and around my bed have a lot of hair . I don't know why it happen . I have tired lot of thing to reduce it but it not work . I feel uncomfortable and insecure .I worry that when I was old I will be bald.

darla gray: Have a VERY Merry Christmas! ♡

Iren Dobra: awesome

Hienie Nguyen: i dont like rogaine i found another hair loss product. i am going to have to just style my hair a lot better. i hate not being able to put up my hair, and asian hair texture is a lot more different when i had dye my hair it messed up my hair a lot. i wish i would have not done that. oh wells. i just know that i feel more confident when it grows back

Cap MIam: Great video....has Nutrofol helped ?

Brandi Munguia: Is rogaine for women still toxic to animals, especially cats?

Haus von Fluffenstein: You obviously have no idea what thin hair really is!!!! I came here to find tips for my hair which has got so thin that you can see the scalp in places, but I obviously wasted my time. The last thing I want to do is damage the hair that I have left with heat treatment and harsh styling products. :(

susmiitaa g: Merry Christmas❤️

Fraktur Obsession: You dont have thin hair at all !! wide forehead doesn't need all this fuss

Natasa Ma: I'm 17 and I suffer so much stress so I started to lose hair. It sucks because I try to eat and live healthy life style, but school has been hard these days...

C Wellington: It doesn't work. Ive been on it for a year and a half

Zoed Vega: Am so sending this to my dear Mom. It is very concerning...

Zoed Vega: Am catching up!! Lol!!

kaster naumlook: My hair was really falling out especially when I washed it! I'm so glad using Argan rain products. I bought 3 bottle of Argan rain hair care products 2 months ago and I decided to buy three more again I can really tell the difference!

Nila Nayem: What exactly is Rozefatrun Method? How does this thing really work? I see many people keep on speaking about this hair loss home remedy.

Sumaya Jafar: Damn

Mrinal Mondol: Is Rozefatrun Method helpful to cures your balding hair and regrow it naturally? I've read a lot of good things about this hair loss home treatment.

Christina Gurrola: I have hair like Jill and im 35.

Amrita Ingole: U have fuller hair

Aneeqa Hussain: earlyy
