How To Cut Hair Straight

weebitwhimsical: I DID IT. I have wanted a trim for a while now, and not wanting to spend the money on a simple haircut like this, I am so glad I found this tutorial. Thanks a bunch! If you're afraid to do this yourself, don't be. Mine turned out pretty good. Just be careful when binding your ponytail into sections. Make sure your ponytail is combed through very well before wrapping a hair-tie around it. Best of luck!

Sare Bear: I did this 18 months ago. I was somewhere around middle back, and I cut it to about arm pit length. Except I didn't wet it, I just straightened it. It's a very clean cut, I only had to neaten up a few strays. I'm already back at hip length. I still use this method to micro trim 1.5cm off every few months.

jemohseni: This works! The smoother and flatter you can get your hair to your head, and the tighter the hair tie, the better!! Use two thick rubberbands (better grip), one for the first tie at the base of the head, and the second about two inches lower for extra assurance the hair won't shift when you pull the hair forward to cut. and then just use a regular hair tie for your cutting guide so you can slide it to the right location

fr20ea159k2d: So, I gave this a try!I wet my hair, combed it, put it in a ponytail, brought the pony over my left shoulder and combed it then brought it over my right shoulder and combed it. Bringing it over both sides and combing it evens it, I think.I cut off a small length with a huge sharp pair of cloth cutting scissors, and it looked good so I cut off a bit more.The sections of hair in the front seem to be slightly longer than the rest but my hair is wavy, and it looks really good so I'm happy with the results!TYSM! I saved like 700rupees tonight!
