Natural Hair Styling For Short Hair || Blow Out Updo (Talk Through)

So obviously I still have the hair and I've been trying it and playing with it here and there and seeing what works for me. So the first thing I did because I mentioned the last video that it needed to be a bit darker, so I dyed it. Darker, it is a natural blow out. Look so, as you can see, I dyed it black. I was kind of struggling to get the roots really dark, but it'll do so. I'M gon na show you guys how I achieved my half-up half-down and look okay. So I just stretched my hair, so it would be easier to deal with okay. So this is the powder and basically you're gon na cornrow, the back of your hair down just like that and then the front part is obviously going to be put into a ponytail. Well, I'm gon na sides, I'm just gon na pull out a tiny bit like a tiny bit of hair right here, just to cover the tracks just about that much really not much just a little bit, so it can just kind of blend in yeah. That should do and then everything else will go up into the ponytail okay. So I'm just combing it out nicely. So I can it'll be easier for me to smooth down and then I'm gon na take some eco styler and put that on the front of my hair. I'M really not gon na use much because my hair is pretty smooth okay, so I'm just gon na leave. My edges like that for now I'm gon na have to lay it down at the start, because, obviously it's frizzy so right now, I'm just gon na braid this piece here into a small braid, okay, so that is good. This is what it looks like when it's the straight just blown out and with the styling that I did a few days ago. I curled them a bit, so it has a bit of a weight in them, but I'm gon na go through and recur LEM again. So you guys can see I'm just gon na pin these little braids down okay. So this is about the amount that I would put in the back of my head and I still have a lot for the ponytail, so we definitely have enough. So first thing I'm gon na do this is like the tricky part. Okay, so I'm gon na make sure I unclip all of these and then I'm going to clip the first one onto the end of my ponytail. Just like that, and then I'm going to wrap it up the pony to okay. So this is what that looks like after I wrap it all around. So then this covers your whole ponytail. You won't see it sticking out anywhere. That'S just what it is, so you can just leave that going straight back and then now we're going to add some hairs to thicken it up and make it look cute. Okay, we're getting there get in there. So I'm just going to continue and add these. Just in the front like this, and then around, all I'm doing is saving a small piece for the wrapping around. So this is gon na be wrapped around the base and then I'm gon na tie it in the back just lightly and then bring it back forward and then just stick it in okay. So that is basically it for the installing process and then I'm going to heat up my curling wand and just curl this up and make it look cute now that I'm about to curler, I'm just gon na put this on the front of my head. So I can lay down my edges while I'm at it. This is the size curling wand, I'm using it's like start to thick and then it goes thinner. I found that when I use the thicker ones it wasn't turning out as tight, so so pretty and you guys, since you put pieces, I took out on the side - covers the tracks right here. You can go ahead and take out some more up here, which I did last time, but the less hair I have to take off the better, so you guys can see that it basically blends right in so yeah. That is basically it for this look. I am obsessed this is like if I could do this every day. I would - and I probably will so I mean definitely gon na - be abusing this, because my hair is tucked away. It looks natural, it looks like it's just my hair. Possibly this is it. I'M gon na do a little 360, so you guys can see the style is pretty simple. I just wanted to show off what this hair can't do, because I'm very impressed and of course it is black-owned, so I'm always going to wrap that first and I'm always going to share that first, because honestly, they did a very good job with this hair.
