FTC: I am NOT getting paid to make this video. Some of the links above are affiliate links which means I can earn some commission. You don't have to use my link, but if you do, it would really help my channel!

Hi EVERYONE Welcome back to my channel. And in today's video I'll be sharing with you guys my hair care routine. I completely forgot to share my `` Best of Beauty 2017'' for hair products., But this was a highly requested video from you guys, because if you've watched, ``, Joan Day'' or even my main channel, you've probably noticed that my hair color changes quite frequently.. So in the comments I received so many questions on whether my hair was healthy and how I maintain it and asking like ``, which products I use''. So I thought that this was the perfect video to do.. I did film the `` Hair Q & A'', with James a while back so I'll, leave that up there and he basically said that. It'S okay to dye your hair as many times as you want. As long as you take good care of it and he recommended some really great products and those will be popping out here and there in this video.. But yes, I do dye my hair quite often.. I think once a month really., But I don't bleach it., Because I bleached it a while back. The last time I bleached it was with James and I think up till then I bleached it 7-8 times. But every time Captain feels my hair and friends feel my hair. They always compliment about like `` the health of my hair'' and how soft it is. So today I'll be revealing those products to you all. And first we have shampoo.. This is the `` Fanola Fiber Fix Shampoo'', and this is basically like the toner of skincare.. Skin care is really important, but also remember that taking care of the health of your hair is just as important.. This is ideal for people who have colored and damaged hair.. It really helps fix the breakage and I'm so impressed by how soft my hair feels, even though I bleached it so many times. And through out time. My hair just naturally starts feeling this way.. So I started using a different shampoo back and forth because this one is really expensive. And this one right here was a gift from Captain, and this is the `` Deesse's Neu Due WillowLuxe Shampoo''. This is Captain's favorite, Japanese haircare brand, and he really wanted me to try it and I just really like the way it smells. I cannot really tell if it transformed my hair or not, because this I immediately felt a difference like when my hair dried., But this one I mean I'm just trying to finish it because I did receive it as a gift and yeah. It smells great. For treatment. I used to use the Fanola one, but because it's tinted pink I've been using these 3 products right, here., NOT all together., Usually it's between these 2 and this product right here.! So right here we have'' Olaplex ( Bond Perfector, No2 )''. This is a very popular brand for people who have bleached and damaged hair.. It really helps with the breakage, and it just makes your hair feel super soft and it smells amazing.. So Olaplex would probably have so many reviews on YouTube and blog posts, and I'm super glad that I finally got to try this product out because it just works hand-in-hand with the `` Fanola Fiber Fix Shampoo'' that I've just mentioned. They're. Just like the perfect duo and thanks James for the recommendation, But of course I have an alternative that I've been going back & forth with, because Olaplex is expensive. And this one right here is `` Aveda Damage, Remedy Intensive Restructuring, Treatment'', and I actually received this as A gift from a Cosrx staff, Chi Minh, thank you so much for this, And she basically watched my videos and noticed that I was getting my hair dyed so frequently and she was worried about the health of my hair and I received and I've been using it. Basically, with these treatments., You just leave it in your hair for 5-10 minutes and then wash it off later. Kind of like the `` Fanola Fiber Fix Shampoo''. You can leave this one for 2 minutes and it'll work better., But leaving these products in instead of quickly washing it off the product will continue to work on your hair for 5/10/20 mins that you leave it on for. And your hair will repair.. So I highly wan na recommend these 2 hair treatments. And for the scalp I actually use a different product.. I only use these treatments for the bottom., But for the scalp I've been using the `` Lohacell Brave for Scalp Nourishing Hair Treatment''. It'S actually really important for your scalp to be healthy because that's where new hair grows and also it's connected to your face. So that's also gon na affect your skin.. So if you've been breaking out like make sure your scalp is cool and healthy as well.. So this product helps prevent scalp, hair loss and it also says on the bottle that it helps provide a ``, smooth, shiny hair with enhanced hair thickness''. I haven't been using it too long, so I'm not sure if my hair is growing thicker than before., But I mean overall, I've been using it for the scalp and it's been pretty good.. I don't have dry scalps anymore, so that's a good sign. After showering. I follow up with the `` Liese, Hair Spray''. Everything is in Japanese, so I'm not sure what this says.. When I went to Japan, I just picked it up because I love how light my hair feels afterwards.. So usually, I just like to spray it on near the scalp area, and my hair would just feel really light and yeah. I just really like this product and not really sure how else to describe this, because I'm not really sure what this functions as, but I think this also works as a heat-protectant, because, according to this picture right here, people use it right before they blow-dry their hair.. But actually I use a separate heat-protectant which I will be sharing with you guys later.. But yes, I like to first start off with this `` Liese, Hair Spray'', and then I follow up with these 2 products.. So this right here is the'' Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray''. This is a very popular product that gives your hair a beachy texture, and I didn't realise how much I needed this product. Until I like went to the beach., I was swimming in the ocean water and right after that, my hair, dried, and it just felt so so smooth and soft because of the salty seawater. - And this is a great way to achieve that. Beachy texture, without having going to the beach everyday., So I've been using this on damp hair.. You can also use it on dry hair. And then I also follow up with `` OUAI Hair Oil''. This is my favorite product because it smells so good and it just makes my hair looking nice and shiny. To brush my hair. I'Ve been using the `` Eyecandy (, Rainbow ) Hair Brush'', the rainbow one that I got from OliveYoung.. I talked about this before in a previous hair video., But this is my go-to hair brush because it's small fun colorful and, most importantly, it brushes my hair and leaves it looking really really soft.. Also, there's a mirror on the back, so I actually see a lot of korean women carrying this around with them in their purse, to kinda fix up their hair throughout the day and use it as a mirror to apply their makeup.. So definitely a cool product. For hair tools. I have 2 right here. And we'll start with this one - and this is the `` UNIX Ion Essential Care, Hair Dryer'', And I really like this because it folds and it's nice and small.. I got this at OliveYoung because it was on sale. And Coco actually got really mad because she told me that this damages your hair, but luckily I do use heat-protectant. So I haven't had a problem with that. But this is the current hairdryer that I use and the first hairdryer that I ever bought because I usually like to air-dry my hair, but because it's super cold outside. Whenever I take showers in the morning. It usually takes a long time to dry and also when you walk out with wet hair. My hair turned into like'' hair icicles'' people told me to be careful because, first of if you catch a cold and like Sunny, actually tweeted me back saying, sometimes it could break.. So I definitely didn't want that. So I went to OliveYoung picked out the hairdryer. That was on sale and it's been pretty life-changing. And for the hair-straightener that I've been using.. This is the `` Brilliance, New York, ( Diamond Flat Iron )''. I have talked about this in pretty much all of my hair-styling and care video.. I have been loyal to this guy for half a decade. I think I've been using it since college.. I really like the quality of the straightener and it doesn't fry my hair, like the cheaper ones that I have tried.. Sometimes I forget to use heat-protectant and it doesn't damage it.. So that's why I really am loyal to the `` Brilliance New York''. I also have their curler. And for heat-protectant I have these 2 right here.. So this is the `` Bumble and Bumble: ( Bb ) Hairdresser's, Invisible Oil'', And this is a primer for your hair. It also works as a UV-protector. And then this is the `` Lucido-L Essence Water''. This contains hyaluronic acid, which made me realise that, yes, if it's good for the skin, then it's probably good for the hair.. That'S why some skincare products you can actually use it on the hair., But I just like never really did that, but I should try it. Anyway. If you want a light-weight, non-sticky hairspray, I recommend you give this one ( Lucido-L. Essence: Water, ), a go., And if you don't mind it check out the `` Bumble and Bumble ( Hairdresser's, Invisible Oil )''. This is a lot expensive.. I think this was around. Like $ 30 and this one was under $ 10., So I'm definitely gon na pick up more of these. When I go back to Japan, but yeah both great heat-protectants. And use a heat-protectant before using a hot tool, because you wan na protect your hair., My go-to hair style has been straightening my hair inwards., So it kinda gives like a curl on the ends.. I just really like the way it looks and it's very quick.. And finally, we have dry shampoo. And if you don't wash your hair every single day and you wan na control the oil. I recommend you use a dry shampoo. And I have 2 right here.. And this is the `` Bumble and Bumble ( Bb ) Prêt-à-Powder'', and this is a powder dry shampoo, which is probably my favorite., But on days when I'm really lazy - and I don't wan na squeeze it and balance everything out. I just go with the'' Elizabeth and James Nirvana White ( Dry, Shampoo, )''. This is a perfume that I use right here.. So I have to pick this up to match my perfume But yeah. This is definitely a lot easier to carry around with me in my purse as well., Because I don't know doing the powder in public vs. a spray I feel like this is a lot much easier and it won't like get everywhere. Alright. So that's it for my hair care routine.. I hope you guys found this video helpful. If you are curious & interested in any of the products that I've mentioned today check the description box, because links will be down below. And also Leave me a comment. Letting me know what your favorite/go-to/holy grail hair care product is, because I would like to try some new ones. Alright, So that's it for today And I'll see you guys in my next one BYE,

kissyberry: Agree on scalp-care! not only the face that we need to take care of, but also our scalp. thank you joan for sharing your hair routine.

erin huh: Thank you for being one my biggest aspirations in life, Joan. Your efforts, videos and posts truly mean a lot to me (and many other people.) Love you!!! Stay beautiful <33

Ivan Lam: That thumbnail is me trying to figure out my life

J Lee: Omfg your hair is so perfect. It looks amazing. I love the new dark look! THANKS FOR YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS!!!

Diki: I swear I was just about to request a hair tutorial as I love how you've been styling your hair lately !!!고마워요 언니

su-ting tan: thanks for making my day despite all the stress im going through! ily ❤

daydreamer054: Joan always has skin care on the brain. Even at 1:31 where she is talking about that shampoo being the toner for hair care she says skin care instead heheh. Can't wait to try out some of these products too. I want to dye my hair a lighter shade but have always been afraid since I have dark hair and it would have to be bleached first.

su-ting tan: YAAYYYY TIME FOR A NEW VIDEO! thanks for always making my day! ahhh i wish i can see you soon! ♥♥♥ i hope you had an amazing first month of 2018!!! can't wait to see what your accomplish this year! ily!

arina: loved this video i’m trying to learn how to style my shorter hair after a haircut so this was helpful :)

penelope: ahh I LOVE your current hair color joan!! also you got me and my friends totally hooked on hot ruffles ;D

Anna Gleason: I’m growing out a pixie cut (currently have a bowl cut ) and seeing “short hair” in the title and then seeing your LONG hair made me so jealous

Marina: DON'T USE THE HAIR STRAIGHTENER WITH WET HAIR!! When your hair's wet it's really delicate and fragile so you're gonna break it! Be careful and make sure it's completely dry <3

Sophia H: I'm cutting my hair shoulder length on Sunday, so this video came at a perfect time I love your hair btw

shhshine: That Liese hair spray is kind of a "shower" re-setting mist! Those kinds of products are really popular in Japan. Basically, you're supposed to use them on your hair in the morning to fix your bedhead. Since people here wash their hair every night, it's supposed to reset your morning hair back to that just-showered look and feel. I'll try that brand next time! ^^

Daniel Padron: Not sure if it’s a hair care product, but ever since I dyed my hair purple, I’ve been doing an avocado hair mask every week to repair my hair and nourish my scalp. It has been saving my hair and leaving it softer than ever in my life. 100% recommend.

ElleAlly: Love all of your tips and recommendations :)

Makdaddy bigmac: I like the KERATIN leave in conditioner. Also, the 3 minute miracle conditioner. used those products back in my eco days when I dyed my hair excessively

Willow Willow: Im addicted to your video and watching it from the very first one! I want you to try Hair Rescue series when you come to Japan! It sells at drug stores. Its under $10 and surprisingly works well on high damaged hair!!

Angharad Weeks: a wonderful video, and I agree hair care is just as important as skin care ! x

Joyce Le: Thank you for the recommendations! I've been using Lucido-L Essence Water for a while now but I think I need to get some additional treatment products on hand after frying my hair.

WolfJade: I let my hair air dry, mostly because I have a natural wave to my hair which I love but blow-drying my hair makes it all straight and lifeless (no matter what I do). My fave go to product is Bumble and Bumble’s Don’t Blow It Fine (H)air Styler which was made specifically for air drying your hair. My hair feels soft and isn’t as frizzy. Also, I’m pretty sure the whole “catching a cold from wet hair” thing is a myth; it’s going to take a lot more than that to get you sick.

Princess Leai: I’ve been using Mane N Tail aka Horse Shampoo, since college and my hair has been soft ever since. I’ve used both the Deep Conditioner & the Herbal Gro.

Miriam Navarro: You should make a video about what you do to grow it out, it grows so fast! Totally jealous of your hair

Arin nn: You look so beautiful Thanks for sharing this routine this is so helpfull Good morning from Indonesia

Julie Lai: I'm sad because I late for this video, but this video is so helpful, thank you Joan for a great video

Joy Kim: ah I also love ouai products! you should try their medium hair spray! its a light spray with great hold through out the day that doesn't make my hair feel stiff. plus you already know that it smells amaaaazing! haha I style my hair similarly and it helps keep that curl from flipping out

dear maria: Omg Joan your thumbnail is super cute!!!!

jthy: Hi Joan, I wanna ask whether you will use the ouai hair oil and finishing creme together after hair wash? If yes which one do you use first? Thank you and Have a great day ahead

Jins Old Man Jokes: This video helped a lot! I just got my hair cut very short today and I hope I can find the products. Thx :D

ri_12: I'm just shampooing my hair with a drugstore shampoo..HAHAHAH After that i give it a Lucidol oil, i know Lucidol thanks to you Joan, it's been a great product! (:

Princess Leai: I don’t remember your hair being this brown, but it looks good

J Mason: Aussie 3 minute deep moisture for great slip. I have a love/hate relationship with body art quality henna. I use to cover my grey hair (I've got a lot). Love the results but hate the mess and it's kinda time consuming.

hyunmi21: Hi I recently discovered your channel and liked and subscribed the minute I saw it. Your hair looks so beautiful

Glória Akemi: Still have not gotten over the fact that you manage to look good in EVERY single hair color Joan any tips for those who want to have their hair bleached and colored (like myself)?

Sammy Lee: Wow this is so thought out! after I take a shower I just put a serum my hair and then I put some mousse because I have naturally wavy/curly hair and then I French braid it and leave it over night and then bam, nicest curls ever.

Jungkookies: Ahh i really needed a joan video right on time my day was a handful but a little bit of joan makes it all better

nith: So pretty as always unnieeeee! ♡♡♡

dev !: I miss your purple hair but honestly you look amazing however u style your hair and i LOVE YOU QUEEN

Yunji Kim: Please don’t ever straighten your hair while it’s still wet! Even if its heat protection!

Angie: I love using It's a 10 Haircare Miracle Leave-In Conditioner. I bleached my hair a few times and it looked so damaged until I started using this product. I can really tell the difference with my hair if I don't use after a hair wash.

Tracy Tran: Yesss that thumbnail is exactly me thank u so much for the VIDEOOO!!!❤

Ro & Miu: My holy grail hair product has got to be the gisou hair oil! Wanna try the ouai one next!

Andrea Pallais: You’re so cute Joan! Love your videos

Hajar Maati: seriously loving every single one of your videos Joan

Desiree B: I'm definitely going to have to find a really strong heat portecter soon. I have naturally curly hair and am cutting it soon to a style that requires flat ironing. I really want to avoid heat damage the best I can. Yayyy!

Nichi: I should start brushing my hair more lol does the eyecandy have heads on the bristle that can fall off?? Love you Joan ❤️❤️

erin huh: JOAN I LOVE YOU, YOU BEAUTY QUEEN <3333

Lycheejam: yes you definitely look better with darker hair. I feel like your hair from 3 years ago was still the best though hehe

su-ting tan: ahhhh your hair looks so goooddd! omggg I've been waiting! and 12 minutes video?!?! so downnn for it!

Audrey Nguyen: Ooh i love hair care recommendations!

Eugenia Jin: My holy grail hair oil is hands down the Shu Uemura's Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil. It's made of cammelia oil, absorbs quickly, lightweight, and it doesn't feel like you put any oil in your hair at all. That's how fast absorbing it is. It's definitely pricey, but seeing as how you're using Fanola and Olaplex, I'm sure you won't mind after using it. It's the best :) If you want to try another Shu product, their Ultimate Remedy line (dark green) is fantastic for damaged, colored hair.

Liz: My recent holy grail item is the bumble hairdresser's oil...amazing!!!

Janella. c: Your thumbnail is basically me every time I try to fix my bangs

Soo Ming Hwa: I really like how u maintain your hair!Luv your tips13

Valérie Liao: Actually I have bangs too and I often put them to the rightside of my forehead , thank you for your recommandations

Iqra Akhtar: Please review the two products 1) Scinic Vitamin C 100 all in one ampoule 2) Pure Vitamin C 21.5 by wishtrend. Which one is better option for dull dry skin?

zutter dye: We have the same brush!! Hahaha love it

Ria Listiarty: Hi Joan such a beautiful hair. I love it and thanks for sharing to us. The brush so cute Anyway with 2 cameras that you use, in your opinion which one that has better quality?

_Heather_: living for this new hair colour!!

Ivana S: Helpful video I have long curly hair but really need to work on taking care of it

Nayoung Kwon: 드디어 기다리던 헤어케어 이네요~~계속 기다렸어요~~너무 도움이 되었어요. 헤어케어 뭘살까 계속 고민중이였어요. 미국에서 살수 있는 더 좋은거 있음 추천해주세요~~

wishonamoonbeam: When I worked at the airport there was a young (20s) year old women in the bathroom using the Lush hair powder on her hair and there was an older lady watching her with this look of disgust. I don't think she knew what she was doing and she probably thought she was putting baby powder or something in her hair but I still remember the look on her face when this young women was putting an oil controlling loose powder on her roots lol

kz abesamis: Joan, just curious. In any of your products, do you ever use organic, vegan-products? I don't think i've seen or heard any? Is organic, all-natural products also big in Korea? without the SLS and paraben?

Patchara Kitilangka: Body care routine for winter pls!!!

hitomitomtom: Thanks for the tips!

nith: Just got home from school, and I'm watching your video!

Claudia Christin: Your hair looks gorgeous! but hair's health is more than what you can see from the outside. since the chemical in a coloring product gets in touch with your scalp as well. putting harsh chemical continuously more to our body is never a good idea. The pollution alone has already stressed our body out :) so i wish people could decide wisely

Grace Lim: HAHA the thumbnail is so cute!

Muzmuz M: yahoooooooooo a new video and it's a hair care routine..... yes... been waiting for it and am loving how the color is fading out ^^

Awetewtewtew Awetwetw: Wetting your hair before straightening damages it. Don't wet it

Siti Salsabila: Love your videos

kissyberry: I sometimes add some essential oils to my hair routine. on clarifying sls-free shampoo. then keratin conditioner/treatment. once a month, i use vco (coco oil) to massage scalp. before i used loreal sulfate free shampoo but it hurt my scalp. now i use avalon organics, organix ogx argan oil of morocco most of the time but i know they have lots of variants and kracie ichikami products. im wanting to try moroccanoil products if its good. and il try aveda next time. thanks for sharing joan

Sarah K: Great video as always

Na Yie: I thought Olaplex was meant for Hair salons only

min: I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! HAHA AND I LOVE THE THUMBNAIL

lula love beauty: I use for my hair it's japanese brand  kao-essential moisturizing frizz free make my hair really soft and smell really good

ols shannon: Hi joan, can you please make a video on how to overcome depression? Thank you

Joey Tan: A great vedio for the start of my day!

Jessi Velicia: Love your hair color

meigd23: Morning beauty! May u have a nice day

leehaelyn: If I walk out without drying my hair I get sick like immediately XD

Van Nguyen: OMG. It is so great that u shared us your hair care products. But i am quite curious. Don't you use conditioner?

Relaxing Sound: That's what I need, I just cut my hair short.

bobbyyyy: Thankkkkk youuuuuuuu Joannnnnn

MelloWchik: I needa switch up my hair straightener, I've been using it for almost 8 yrs now since high school :O

Zoey Thian: is temporary hair treatment like the april skin ones will damage our hair?

Rawr?: 102! My favorite girl giving me cheats to lifeeeeeee
