48" Braided Ponytail On Short Hair

Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel. Welcome back to my channel! Look who decided to come back and be a youtuber, i'm so excited to be back. Oh my gosh. So today we are going to be getting into this slick, ponytail style. As you can see, my hair is like 10 different textures, but we're just going to completely ignore that this video was filmed literally like over a month ago, so yeah anywho we're just going to moisturize and get our hair nice and wet for this style um. I know most people they kind of like flat iron and hot comb, their hair before they do a slick down style, but i don't know why i went to the wet method, a girl - i don't know i don't know. This is just me learning and figuring out. My hair do not judge my hair texture. I promise you, you see straight pieces, you see curly pieces because it will not get straight. I told you, i went back to relaxers and it just will not fully process and i don't want to use extra strength. So you we're we're just gon na we're just we're gon na figure it out later anywho. So i am detangling. My hair sectioning we're getting the brush girl, you're gon na need a wide tooth. Comb you're gon na need a bristle brush and some water, and i believe i used eco, solid, gel and girl. You see this little ancient hair. I got yes ma'am. When i tell you we got it into a ponytail. We got it into a ponytail, so you're about to see me. Do it now and i decided to do a middle part ponytail. So, as you can see me now, i used about two three brushes to get the style girl because, because anywho we're trying to mold it down, i don't think i had any product in my hair at this time. Like i said i filmed this like over a month ago, i'm horrible, i know i'm gon na get back to youtube. Okay, so we're doing our middle part here we're molding we're getting the hair where we want it to be wide tooth comb, and we have a small two comb now baby we're gon na comb out them baby hairs, because what is the style without baby hairs? It is 20 21. Okay, the baby hairs are in the baby. Hairs are baby hearing. We got a little bit of adult hairs in here too, a little auntie hairs uncle hairs, but it's okay. We got the hairs and they're going to do what they need to do, combing them out the way while we mow the rest of our style down and, like i was saying as well. I also want to get back into vlogging on youtube, because that's kind of like what's popping right now, but if you have the canon, g7x camera or know anybody with it, ask them if these screws fall out, because i promise you every time i pick my camera. I lose a screw, it's so freaking, annoying okay, so we're going into the eco styler gel like i was saying i always lose my screw. So my screen is like flopping all around. So it's hard to like keep up with it. I'M pretty sure that's an excuse, but it's like i ordered one off ebay like every two weeks like i just need a pack of screws and they're so hard to find so very annoying but anywho. I want to get back into vlogging, i'm kind of like getting out of my social anxiety type stuff, so i've kind of been going out a lot more in atlanta. Now, i'm just trying to meet new people trying to live my life because covey is taking away. My 20s honey and i'm sick of honestly truly so i'm trying to get back out there and have some fun girl, but okay, so we got the eco styler and we got the comb we're using the comb to maneuver maneuver the product through our hair. Most people - typically, they either only use hairspray, but they use it on dry hair or they either put the product in their hair in layers like they parted the product party per product, but girl, i just slapped it on top. My patience is at a zero. I know it's probably not the healthiest thing, but we're gon na get into it later. So i'm trying to maneuver that product through my hair she's laying down she's flat and baby, you want to make sure it's flat, because that is 100 honestly and truly the only way that you're going to be successful at this hairstyle y'all see my hair was an Inch long you've seen it was an inch long girl. So now we want it was got to be so what this does is it keeps all the other hairs that will not fit inside itty bitty ponytail. It keeps it flattened down so that it gives you the illusion that drain ball hit it, but we know you know you know. We know we ball-headed over here, but we've accepted it. So now we are getting the got to be. If that is going really hard enough, the eco styler jail, don't really harden you up, we just kind of do what you need to do, but they don't harden you up baby. We need the got to be to keep us in place. Like i said this video, i literally filmed this like a month month and a half ago, so we got a little bit more hair now. Well right now i got some box braids honey and i didn't film that, but i did make a tick tock on it. So, like i said, if you want to see what i'm doing on a day-to-day basis girl go to tick-tock, you would think i would be more consistent on youtube due to the fact that i received income from this. But, like youtube is just a lot and then i really like texas, because you can use any music um youtube girl, goodbye, okay, so, along with the got2b gel, we're gon na go on with the hairspray girl, and this is gon na really hold us down and Lock it most people only use this when they're doing a ponytail. They mainly only use a spray but, like i said, that's on like dry and flat ironed and hot combed here, but we're locking them here as a place girl, like i said, we're doing what we're giving the illusion that we have longer hair. We don't want the world to know that our hair made into them i mean who cares but, like you know, y'all won't be walking around. Looking like that, i'm gon na walk that baby open a little bitty bitty ponytail, i'm gon na get that funny stuff going honey, and i didn't do my point too tight because it's already an extra struggle bun. So i don't want to rip out the little bit hair that i did have and pull it too tight. So, and i also did this hairstyle a couple weeks after my relaxer. I didn't do it immediately after a relaxer, just the fact that i don't want to rip a little bit of hair. I do have out so i waited about a week or two for it to get a little thicker and you know a little stronger and i also want to start using olaplex too, but i just haven't, got the urge to get up and go to the store And purchase it, but that will be um included into my routine very, very shortly and girl. I also want to shave my hair back. I am really so inconsistent, not inconsistent, i'm indecisive, because when i had my little shortcut it was given to girls, but it was only given when my face was fully beat and then at that time. Okay, so we're also gon na wrap our hair up we're gon na wrap it nice and tight girl, we're gon na mold that style down um and we're gon na lock them we're gon na lock that we're gon na lock that gel together. But anyway, what was? I saying um, i forgot what i was saying: what was that thing get them ears out because that'd be hurting your head honey boom, so we're back so now that that is locked together we are going to be using our expression here, um in the color 1b. This is what we are going to be using to do our braid today, um. Typically, i would recommend using the um, the the pre-stretched hair, but i didn't so i'm going to stretch it out myself but get out get the pre-stretch because then you want to do this and if you got real real, real thick hair, then girl go ahead and Use all that hair, if you want to, but i don't got the thickest hair, so i'm not gon na have no thick old braid on my head and i don't got no big hair. So i took some hair out of the package. That'S what you can see. I did um because i'm not doing that. I hate when people be having see through slick backs but have the biggest bundle in the head that just aggravates me. So now we are going to begin stretching it out and, like i said by the pre-stretch, you won't have to do this. Otherwise it only took me like three to five minutes. It wasn't too bad, but it could have been avoided so now we're going to brush her out. I think this is my attempt to stretch it out through. I don't know, okay here now we stand up so we're really going to work. We just really want to work baby and that hair was so freaking long. So i'm like standing on my tippy toes brush it out because girl that can come on being nappy that kangalong will nap up on your baby. Clearly i was struggling. Okay girl. We was tired, we was tired. I thought it was a struggle. So now we have that together we're going to take the rubber band and we are going to okay. We chose a different rubber band, so now we are going to wrap it around that hair piece. I can't explain how i did it, but i demonstrated it so just rewind it go slow. So now we are going to wrap that around the hairpiece. Oh girl, we is slick rick up in here period, pool now we're going to take that rubber band we're going to wrap it around our itty bitty struggle. Bun, don't do it too tight girl because see as i'm saying you don't want to do it too tight. You don't rip your hair, so now we got that wrapped around there we're just gon na start, braiding he's gon na breathe like normal, okay. So now what i will say was i could have completely braided this. Oh you're gon na. Take a piece out. Don'T forget to take that piece out to wrap it around the band so now we're gon na start braiding after you take a piece out, but what i was gon na say was literally. I could have braided this off. My head, like i, could have just put it around a door handle or something and braided this and then just attached it at a later time. But no, i wanted to be extra difficult and decide to braid on my head. So if you want to be less difficult, then just do it that way. Otherwise you can do it this way and you're just gon na braid you're gon na braid as normal. If you don't know how to braid baby, i don't know what to tell you. You got ta go find another video that tell you how to break. I ain't gon na tell you that in this video, but you're, just gon na break down oops sorry you're, just gon na braid down you wan na make sure you get that piece inside. That is very important. Take that piece of hair out, because that is the hair that you are going to use to wrap around the base. See i told you just hair as long you got to put it in your mouth yeah putting him out, so you can get to the bottom, don't mind my shirt. It look like it's a couple days old, a little dirty, but i was in the house all weekend, so we're gon na ignore that it was a little stretched out we're gon na get that brush baby, because i suppose i can't go on getting happy girl that Can'T go on being real nappy, braid braid down some people like to stop braiding rubber, banded up and like curl the ends, but i wasn't going for that. Looks like i braided all those at the bottom gon na leave that little piece out and then that's gon na lock when you dip it, you wan na stretch your braids out, so i can give it a little looser lazy effect. Now we're gon na take this piece remember to take this piece out. Okay, it is important now most people spray, this piece of hair with um hairspray and then they wrap it around. But i didn't do that just because once you spray my hair spray girl, it's gon na get nappy knotted and everything, and i just wanted to avoid all that and i didn't feel like it was necessary because i'm not trying to keep this style in like years. At a time, i'm literally taking it out at the end of the day, so anyhoo you are just going to wrap this piece of hair around that base. To give you more of a seamless more of a baby, i know what i'm doing. I tried i paid to get this done: type, look and you're just gon na wrap around, and then it also gives you a little bit more security. So that's also why i said: don't put the band on too tight, because when you do this, it makes it a little bit tighter as well. It'S easy as one two three super simple super beginner friendly um. I don't know if i would call this a protective style just due to the fact that my hair is so short, so i have to use a lot of gel and um spray, but if your hair is a little longer, you don't have to use all that. Then girl, this is a nice cute, protective style um. Obviously, it's easy for any length hair as you've seen my hair was one inch long girl. We made it work. We took it from one to 48 inches but anywho.
