Hey folks joseline here with fit mission, makeup, joseline McClellan. If I said that too fast, it's a little tongue, twister, sometimes pain, imam is really exhausting, but good news is somebody invented stuff for us to use to kind of spruce things up. So i'm gon na spruce up and get out of my shell get out of my sweats get out of my hoodie get out of whatever and actually put off a good first impression i start to pursue. I talk about first impressions, all the time and a good first impression he's putting your best foot forward now. Do we always have to be spot-on all the time? No we're human, but the good news is. We can get ready, but I'm here for you today to do a flat iron segment with actually curling your hair. A lot of people come to me that they need curling tips and one of the things they struggle with is getting a curl. Now your hair might not be used to it yet because you're just starting to do that, but as you continue to curl your hair, it's gon na get better and better and you're gon na get better and better at it. I used to only straighten my hair used to never Corollas and now it's the best thing ever so I did this hair tutorial with the flat iron and in my video you're gon na see that I want your opinion, so stay tuned for that, and also you're Going to see that it does not take very much time to do this four minutes to curl this. That way. Four minutes you ready here, we okay, let's get started for this tutorial, so I'm gon na show you some curl bling things that you can do for it. Some fun things that you can do with a flatterer with curling, I'm gon na kind of loosely part. It off here, if you want to get clips, you can do Clips you guys, I'm easy, I'm all about easy. So let's do it! Okay, so one thing that you can do with curling is, if you're trying to be so perfect and that's what I recommend, especially for those beach waves, those curls is try not to be so perfect, so just grab pieces, don't care so much, but I always just Turn away from the face, I always turn away from the face and look at that baby. So when you have a fighter on the pendent goes on the sides, then that helps you to be able to utilize that flatter honor for curls, but you're. Just turning away from the face pulling down and you create that curl - I don't want a perfect curl, I don't care to have uniform curls everywhere and I don't care to have messy curls. That'S the joys of a beach wave, no perfection right! No perfection just go with the flow if you don't want to go all the way down to the ends or if you do go down to the ends and you want the thumbs tip, I'm Stan I'll show you well so when I get higher and my hair Is longer you know this little longer, I have an a-line so that my longer in the front shorter in the back, I'm going to show you two things. If you're having a hard time curling your hair, then this is what you can do. You can hold it at the top and just help it guide it out and pull it through, and then you get those ends. Okay, so you can do that all the way through I'm going to finish these up a little bit and then come right back. Hmm one side down one side ago, holy moly: I have like the most intense workout. Oh my arms are payin, oh wait! So that just took me a walk in four minutes to curl my hair for stinking oops. I missed one whoo good vibe. You really want to comment five minutes to grill my hair, so stinking easy, so easy now. One thing I don't want you to be good at is manipulating people, but one thing I want you to be good at is manipulating your hair you're allowed to let manipulate your hair. What I mean by that is, I don't know if you notice that this curl wasn't doing what I wanted. So if you just work on flipping it around, if it's not say when you're done, it doesn't go in the direction you want so flip it and work it, and when it's drying you can even hold it as it's drying in the direction that you want, and You can manipulate your hair there you go just like, so I still don't know if I like it so right here. So one thing you can do when I said: if you go all the way down to your ends and you don't want your ends done and eat like done so much is just take the flat iron and mines stay pretty straight, but you just flat iron out. Some of your ends, so if you they're a little cooler than you want just flat iron out your hands or if you do, that with a curling iron and it's too hard for you to not go down to the ends so just grab your flat iron when You'Re done with your curling iron and flatten out those ends, nobody will know you're a perfect or flat iron. Look done. You want to go ahead and do more and that's the joys of it because say hey. I want this curler. So what I do is I pay attention to where the curls are see, how this one has that swoop that curl, so I'm gon na go right where that already was and then go in and make my girls lighter it's like magic. I love it so paying attention toward the smooth ways so that you're not creating what was like going against. What'S already there just like that and you can do which ever you wish. I'M loving more of the blunt cut right now, but I make sure too that my hairdresser doesn't make my ends too heavy. So it's a blunt cut but she's gone in Bend it out a bit. So it's still nice and blunt, but not so thick on the ends and that's gon na help. You get that more fresh look, so you don't have too much blood here. Some of you can pull it off, so you won't get mad at me. If I talk about not having the blunt cut, but a lot can't - and I products that I use - I haven't - put the noodles in my hair before yet, but one thing that I did get that I had high reviews on this sucker. This sucker has high reviews. It says it locks in pigments prevents color washout, reduces color, fade and ripples dirt and pollution silikal free. This is a heat protector right here. They had on a color, lock, lift my man right here and I'll link this puppy below as well. So if you're just you know not fully listening, if you have a flatiron that you're like dude, this sucker is better for my hair safer. Let me know cuz once I get reviews on those babies I'll try one out and let everybody know as well, because you might not want to make a youtube tutorial, but you and this knowledge bullet so comment below with that bad boy. Okay, I'm gon na use. My products and let you know how I finish out my hair, real quick like like for realsies, so this stuff, I will swear by this stuff until I find one that I like more, but the texture paste the texture. That'S in this. It'S got this pretty sad. This texture paste is the best I have ever used hands down. I tried a lot. I'Ve used a lot and I love this stuff, and I also love that I can take it up to my roots and it kind of acts as a dry shampoo. I can put it up here to take care of my break, not breaking your littles brewer's, whichever ones you want to call them, but I can use this for my ends and I can use it anywhere else. So I really am a huge fan of the igk texture paste. I love so far. All the igk products that I use, I absolutely love. Okay, then a Vedas pure abundance, hair potion is like magic. You can do one of two things you can put it in your hand and work it into your hand and then go or you can kind of squish and squeeze and get it in your hair and paste it on up, and this gets you volume. Texture is the way to go these people these days. Peeps. Is that texture, okay and you can get too much of this stuff? So if you don't feel confident in you putting in your hair like that, then use your hand and not that because you can get too much in fact, I might have got too much in one spot luzina. I don't want to look at the back of my hair and then this one you can easily get too much of this one. So if you don't believe in your pooping skills, I definitely recommend the hand this bad boy, solid, 100 % and fYI. This one can kind of make it feel like you have staticky hair. So if you already have static hair issues, I recommend doing this one first and then ending with this okay. Okay, so I'm just gon na finish this out. I personally like a hair tuck and then I'm going to spray. These are all volumizing and if you notice it's a lot more poufier than it was a second ago and then hairspray with whatever you see fit. I like this one from actually the store, free, store or Target. It'S called nexus stronghold and there's the hair tutorial with the flat iron. You have any questions for me feel free to ask and if you have any tips and tricks that you have sure, that's awesome. Also, if you need anything from me, you will come them down below too or things that you're wanting to see on this page and I'm here for you, this is John McClellan get em s bad boy. This was a quick hairdo. It took me four minutes to curl this hair longer to talk anyway have a good day. We'Ll talk to you later see you next time, bye, bye, it's the Dyson after so many reviews that you all sent me, which I totally appreciate in love. I got the Dyson now a couple of things that I recommend to you. If you are willing to go out and fork out the money for this bad boy is one. I love it. It sounds like this little dog groomer sounds. I don't do it oh, but it sounds like one of those, but it does dry. My hair quicker one tip, though I feel like, if you do not have on the attachments that come with it, chances of you getting a giant knot on your hair is huge. So definitely utilize the attachments not to mention these attachments. It comes with two of these ones: thinner ones wider, but that helps you get and lift up those roots as well. So super helpful to use these attachments and I really think you're gon na like it. If you're willing to forgot the money, but I did get if you'll go in and look at the messages from what people told me, I'm the coments that people told me in my video that I'm gon na link below you will see that they did recommend a Couple others that are less expensive and one of them that they said helps with the ions which this one does not apparently they're smarter than me when it comes to these. But I am impressed with my Dyson, but I definitely do not like the tingles, because one of them I just had to cut my hair because I couldn't so definitely use these. It does have a huge like thick thick thick cord thick cord, but and you can only have this plugged in instead of two things plugged in if you have a countertop like mine, where the granite goes up, but the other thing I was gon na that I Love about it, too, is hold on just one. Second, it comes in this handy dandy box, so you can store it in and if you keep these the cords in the same design that what they came in, it's easy to put back in there. It'S not like, you can only use this sucker once and you just close it up shut and you have your container for your Dyson, but I really do like that about it too. I am a fan of this crazy thing right here. The Dyson

Monica Melgar: I did my hair today following your tutorial and it actually turned out very good. Got lots of compliments at work. Still got to practice more, but I’m in love with your flat iron curling technique, so thank you soooo much! I love how down to earth you are and ho uncomplicated. Thank you again! ❤️

S Smith: Omg! Thank you! This is by far the best short hair flat iron wave tutorial. Just the simplicity of phrasing “pull away from the face” was so helpful. Some of us are not gifted with hair styling abilities so this was so helpful. Thanks again, you are a star!

Peanutbutterbutterfly: I recently had my hair cut very similar to yours. Thank you for posting this! So much simpler than others I've seen.

Fernanda: Great tutorial! I am challenged at doing my hair and this helped me out a ton!

Renee Ward: Love this tutorial!! So easy to follow!

kerao: Oh my god! This is amazing. Honestly I really shouldn’t be an 11 year old straightening my hair but I love it and it turned out amazing! Thank you for the tutorial!

Rhonda Robbins: So cute! I have a terrible time manipulating my hair, and I have layers & bangs, argh! I first found you looking for hair tutorials for my layered shoulder length hair and discovered Maskcara in the process ~ Yay for the home team!!! I will definitely try this look with my T3 Luxe Single Pass Flatiron (which I love, by the way!). I tried the Dyson and returned it because of the HUGE heavy cord lol! I have the Babyliss Ferrari hairdryer and love it, but may try the T3 next time around...hugs to you sweet girl!!!

Alana Weiss: I love this video thanks! I use leave in conditioner + thickening spray when hair is wet, and a dry texture spray for after the straight iron curls are in... works like a charm!

Barbara K: I know you have updated videos but I love love this one! Getting my hair cut tomorrow and want this style! Hugs!

Lea: i know this is an old video but THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!!! I just cut my hair short and have been failing miserably trying to messy curl it. this video is fab!!! (also the dyson knots are brutal!! :) )

Marissa Losito: Hi, loving your video!! Curious, once you've done all of this great work on your hair, and it lasts 3days or so, how do you sleep with your hair at night? Do you put it up or back? Trying to figure out the best way to keep my waves!! Thanks for your tutorials! Have a great day!

Sadie: Love this!! I recently got six inches cut off my hair...it’s a teeny bit longer than yours, but super thick. This really helped me figure out how to do it! My hair is longer in the back so I can still pull it in a ponytail...do I just make the curls tighter in the back so it appears shorter?

Dakota Davy: What temp do you keep your iron at?? I struggle with getting consistent waves! I know its not supposed to be perfect but I'll have one piece that curlier than another and soon enough, I have a head full of super curly, spiral curls! Not at all what I was intending LOL Going to try this out tomorrow morning :D

Gillian M: Every video I have watched they have come in from the top pointing the flat iron down , watching you come in from under and up the way I'm totally going to try, iv never been able to master the flat iron curls been trying forever and never works :)

Gloria: Hi Jocelyn, I recently found your channel and I'm loving it! You are so bubbly and gorgeous

Danielle Kenney: Ok so I NEVER leave YouTube comments but I had to leave a comment to express my gratitude! I have NEVER successfully gotten a good wave/curl but I did after watching your video!! Thank you so so so much!!

kelly adolph: Wow! Love you, love your channel! Got Maskara makeup AND my hair cut like yours in the same week! Learning how to do both!

Emilly Garay: Wow this is so helpful thank you all I know is how to straighten my hair thank you again

Tamara Bradshaw: Love your result!!!

Alice Kapp: Omg I just can’t get this right!!!! I have the worst coordination ever!! Burnt my scalp, hands and fingers. #1 best tutorial BTW!! <3

Alison Clark: I can’t get the back to curl right! So frustrating! Love this tutorial though.

Ashley: Thank you so much for your video I am practicing what you just showed us I’m still having problems. Is your hair naturally straight or did you blow dry it straight I have natural curly hair. What product would you recommend for natural curly hair that I like to blow dry it straight in but beach waves thanks I got. your suggestions please

Pati Stubbs: Hi there, great video :). How wide is your curling iron? I am sorry if I am repeating the question. Thank you!

Ania J: Ello Jocelyn As always helpful video

Beth Wilson: Thank you! You are seriously my favorite person on YouTube!

marie kelly: Love your tutorial, Love your Energy!! I would try the GHD Platium Flatiron Styler Love, Love, Love mine!!!!

Sharon Robertson: What flat iron did you use in this tutorial?

Hilary Mills: Quick question. what size and brand of flat iron are you using?

sunkissed2000: What products do you use in your hair after you wash it?

Lisa Truszkowski: What brand and size flat iron is that? Thank you!

sabrockman: Hi Jocelyn, I was excited to try the IGK Broken Dreams texture paste, and it seems it has been discontinued. Do you have any recommendations for a substitute? Thanks!!

Bėrrÿ_smøøthie24: Hey girl! What heat setting do you put your flat iron on? Thanks.

Carolina Eye Candy Beauty & Relaxation Lounge: Great video!

Jodi Jean: Great video. Thank you. Aveda Control Paste is my ride or die. Tiny amt works majic. Bonus-it smells AMAZING!

Emp212: Claire Dunphy! Really liked this video, I'm doing a little YouTube learning to help my Mom curl her short hair.

Amy R: What was the paste you used? I didn’t quite catch it. Thanks!

Marianne Rohde: Lovely ! Did you turn out the under shorter hairs ?

Karen Dowsey: Hi amazing and easy to follow. I love your necklace. May I please ask where you purchased. Thank you

Turena: Wow luv it!!

Marianne Maslin: what is the actual hair iron you are using?

Anna K: I love your goofiness. Great sense of humour!

Kaley Mitchell: WHAT KIND OF IRON IS SHE USING!?

Penny Newell: I love your hair and you make it look so easy...however, I watch your videos so carefully, but when I try to copy your manuevers my hair won't cooperate (neither will my fumbling hands) and the "wave" I create ends up with me not being able to get the flatiron to move down the hair strand...it gets stuck and twisted at the beginning. So I end up just drawing it straight which doesn't look good either as it's too flat and has dents in it . Guess I will try wigs or a pixie cut as my husband has suggested. Thank you just the same, I like watching your videos and your style is awesome

Rachel Maria: What’s the right temperature? Love your video

Janeece Smith: What's the best way to use sea salt spray?

Heather: Ur awesome, and I love love love your hair

Clancy: What temp do you set your straightener at?

Jaki Botham: I can’t believe how much your videos and backdrop has changed still very good though Do you still have your dyson?

Chelsee04: Your blonde is so healthy looking! What brand of products do you us for your color and styling?!?!

andreahoks: Thin short hair. I havent done anything yet with hair straightners etc. What brands do you recommand me? I have heard about chi? ...

BeautifulDisaster: I have thick hair, a medium length a line like yours. And maybe I do too thick pieces but my curls don't really stay. I've been curling at 400 degrees, should I go up?

Bunny: Please will you show the back of your hair and your undercut???? Going to the hair Salon next week and taking your pics along to get this groovy.. cool cut Pleezzzee! Your just gorgeous xoxoxox Leysa

SOHA KARAMBELKAR: How much heat do you use??

Patsy Davis: I thought you were Naomi Watts when your video first started! Thanks for posting this & for the help. xx

Donna R: I can’t get my hair to ‘hold’ a curl even after a badly wave perm! Help

Kas: Where did you get those earrings?!

nailartShookme: I have watched many of your hair tutorial videos. I enjoy watching. But, I hate that I never get to see you actually styling the back of your hair. I mean, are we supposed to be guessing what you’re actually doing back there? All I can do is guess. This is critical for someone trying to pull off a similar style. How the back is styled does matter a lot. I have noticed this in many of your hair tutorials. I did see a finished look on one or two of the videos after you trimmed your hair a bit shorter. It looks nice. But, I really, really wanted to see the back of the hair tutorial and then the finished look on all of the hair in this video and others before it was cut shorter...maybe a slow full turn around from one side to another. I’m thinking of getting this style. But, I want to make sure to ask my stylist for exactly what it is. I know it’s an A line bob cut. But, it looks like she’s done some other stuff to it, also. ‍♀️

Sharon Martin: Have you done a vid on straightening your hair? Thanks

Ming Storm: what kind of flat iron did you use? thanks

Tamara Bradshaw: You look like Jenny McCarthy's sister. Nice tutorial.

Fit Mission Makeup Jocelyn McClellan: What is your favorite Flat Iron?

Paulina Undurraga: love your ideas, and directions, just too much chatter in between the techniques for my taste. Thanks.

Jenifer Hennes: I swear by Babyliss pro nano titanium flat iron! It’s the best!:)

Heather: I was this cut, but everytime I get it I regret it, or they dont cut it right

graedot: Three products at the end? Is that necessary?

Michele Gasaway: You are so funny. I think you should be a comic. You are a riot but talented too. I live in an area where there are not many people and I literally have no friends to speak of. I wish we could become friends. I have epilepsy and since the peeps around me found out, no one talks to me as if it were contagious. It isn't. I get so lonely a lot especially now with the Covid-19. Well, really hasn't changed that much for me. Still no one to talk to but now cannot go anywhere either and talk to strangers. You keep up the awesome videos so I feel like I have a friend out there because you are the coolest chic on the tube.

Anna Jackson: What brand is your flat iron? I have hard to curl thin hair

Alcyn Hernandez: Most actual helpful shit ever

lilnickdo: What flat iron is this in the video?

Jenifer Hennes: Oh also try Oribe texturizing spray!! Bomb!

Mary Widener: Any suggestions to stop fine hair breakage?? Help!

K: People make this look so easy but it's NOT this easy, IMO

gattoallafesta: Which one is your flat iron?

Ken Leung: Trying to growing out you hair long!

Τριανταφυλλιά Γαροφαλάκη: Nice

Jyll Moore: Can you show the back?

Fatima DaSilva: You. We’d to get a Bio Ionic. Best flat iron ever. Before the bio I was not able to curl my hair and not I curl my hair like a pro.

maria hernandez: She’s so pretty

Lindsay Claudino: You are so fun!

Milani Moreno: Idk how but I can’t get it done I had someone do it for me and it came out awesome but I can’t get idk

Holly Robinson: Why would you fast forward through WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO SEE??

XXXMUXICISLIFEXXX: Aging beautifully

JAYLEEN BOYD: I can’t find that texture paste anywhere!

pimpmyride: Cute personality.

N .I: I'd love to see the back

Susan Strong: I thought used Lange products

A Bcd: You look like Scarlett Johnson

Sandalover11: The iron looks like a toy. Can u cook in it?

Nicole Tesla: These waves are a bit too imperfect though

ray: yeah.. my flat iron wont cooperate

Paris Tillman: You talk to much. Can you get straight to the video.

Laura Esquivel: I like ur hair u just talk way too much

Deborah Hoffman: Too much talking.

Peggy Brockman: Why do u make funny mouth movements

tinseldoll: 1:35

Serenity W.: Witchcraft I Tell You.

Pamela Seaholm: I think it looks awful and half done.
