Hey guys, so I'm back with another hair tutorial and this one is going to be how to create nice waves, almost curly, but more wavy um of a hairstyle for short to medium length hair. I consider my hair short because my hair used to be super long. So I'm just going to name this short, but anyways I'll, get you guys familiar with the products I'm going to be using, so that I don't really have much questions about it. I can just get that out for you guys so the first number one product that we're going to be using is this flat iron, which is an HR flat iron. It'S a one-inch and I love this flat iron, a lot it's better than my cortex, because when you wave your hair with this, as you can see, it's plastic and it's soft right here at smooth. So when you're actually flipping out the curls or the waves it doesn't tangle and with my cortex it was the texture was um. I don't know how to explain it. It was. It was really rough and kind of sticky. I don't know if that's the word tease, but it would just tangle, it would grip onto my hair and then tangle it, and then it would eventually break so. I really like this flat iron. It heats up to 410 Fahrenheit and the lowest heat setting is 140 Fahrenheit, and this is a good value for a flat iron. I think it's about sixty dollars. I'M not too sure you can check on the website, but they have more HR flat irons on there. For less or more, it depends because these are really professional, um flat iron, so I'll put a link in the sidebar where you can purchase this, it's on flat iron experts and yeah. So that's the flat iron we're going to be using and then for my heat. Protectant, I'm using this kqc thermal shine, oops um heat protectant, and it leaves your hair really nice and silky as well. So I really like that, so it helps glide with the straightener and the hairspray we are using is white sands infinity, liquid texture, firm, um, finish spray, and the cool thing about this hairspray is that if you spray your hair, you can directly apply your heat tool To help it curl and it'll just stay, so this won't really damage your hair, because most hair sprays do damage your hair when you apply them and then straight um Flatiron it or style it with a heat tool, it'll most likely fry your hair. But with this one it doesn't fry, so that's good and we'll hold our hair and we are going to be using a teasing comb at the end, and this is just from Sally's um. It has three three rows, so it's a good teasing comb and yes, so that's all we'll be using. So I'm going to get started and yeah I'll see you in a bit alright. So the first thing I'm going to do is just spray. My heat protection all over my hair, mainly focusing on the ends just cuz from the wan na fry those not much, and then I'm just gon na comb it out with the teasing comb that I showed you guys and all of these products will be in sidebar I'Ll link them and list them as well, so I'm just going to comb that through and then using any clip. If you have the professional styling Clips. Oh, oh good, hair, mmmm um! If you have the professional styling Clips the separating clips, you can use them. I don't have those with me right now, so I'm just going to separate my hair and I'm just going to separate it like this. So I have this much at the bottom and then I'm just going to clip this up top. So I'm going to turn on my flat iron and I'm just going to let that heat up, and I will see you guys once it's ready alright, so my flat iron is heating up, it's almost done as you can see it flashes and then it will stop Flashing once it's ready, so I'm going to use the whites and to infinity hairspray and I'm just going to separate it into like this, so half on the right side, half on the left and then I'm going to spray oops. Okay, I'm gon na spray, my hair on just the side first comb it through, and then I'm going to take a section like this, I'm going to take my flat iron in the middle and I'm going to flip. It make sure this little hair is down that way and then pull it and then you'll get a curl, and you can just you know, play around with it till it wait till it falls and then do the same on the other side, if your curl is Coming out a little too short like minded, you can take bigger chunks of hair and you can just flip it and then pull it through, because we want the bottom parts to be longer so that our hair doesn't look so short. So that's the kind of wave you're going for for the bottom. I did mine it's a little bit too curly for the first one, so we're just going to keep on going flipping. It whoops flipping it and then pulling down flipping it and pulling down, and this is quite easy once you get the hang of it um. It'S really quite easy to do so. You can do this in the morning. Sometimes it takes me about 10 minutes. It'S really easy to curl your hair or wave it with a flat iron. Take it flip it in curl it down. So pretty much. It'S going to look like this at the bottom, not so much curly, just to give it a little bit of definition and I'm going to do the other side and I'll come back alright. So I took my next section of hair and the section is a little bit more bigger, so I'm going to grab all of this hair right over here and I'm going to spray it down. What and I like to curl my hair on like the inwards and outwards curls, that's just how I like to curl my hair. A lot of people have different techniques, but that's just like how I like to do it. I'M saying like a lot and I'm just going to take it, I'm going to flip it and then curl it just like that. I usually do the outwards curls on the other side of my head, because I like the way it looks on that side and then I do more inwards, curls on this side, but I'll kind of mix and match it right now, so just curl it you just Want to get a really nice curl, this one's, not curling for some reason. Okay! So then we're going to go ahead and take some more and I'm just going to spray you down comb it through. Take it and then the back do the same thing: just grab it and curl it. The back is always the hardest to do, especially when you're doing it on yourself. So just pull it out words, and then you can also use like different techniques. Sometimes, if you just hold the Flatiron there like this and then let go you'll get like a different kind of curl. So you just need to play around with your Flatiron, find a good way that you like to curl your hair, and I like to do different different kind of curls, like I like all my curls, to be kind of different, because it gives you more volume makes It look like you, have nice, big, big hair and be careful to get the ones that seem to be hiding, because sometimes your hair can hide when you're doing this, and you want to make sure all of your hair is curled, because you don't want to just Have some straight pieces, but so I'm going to section another half and I'll section it right now, actually and alright just section it, however, just take some hair down and then clip the rest off, and I will be right back after I curl this off and I'll Show you guys how to do the top alright, alright. So now we are at our final stage, which is the top part of the hair. So I'm going to start off with my left side and I'm gon na take the hair spray spray it on spray. Some underneath and then comb it I'm going to take a section like this. I'M just going to hold it and then let it curl like that. You'Ll get a cute little curl and then this one I'm gon na make it go outwards. So I'm going to hold it for a bit and then let it down there's lots and lots of different ways that you can curl your hair with a flat iron, so just practice with it. So here's this side. I have to do the back, which is hard, so I'm just gon na spray, some in the back comb it and take it hold it drop it. So now I'm going to continue doing from back here now, here's a little tingly today, I'm going to just spray. Some get some, I mean comment, take it I'm going to wrap it around kind of hold it upside down and then let go of it and you'll get a really nice curl do the same with this one hold it upside down a little and then let go And then I'm going to spray! Actually I'm going to separate this, because that's a lot of hair that I have right now separate it like that, I'm going to take some more hairspray, take a section, hold it and then let go. Take another section. Hold it upside down a bit and then let go so it's pretty simple and if I weren't talking this will probably take about a good 10 or 15 minutes. So if you wanted to do this before class or um, if you're going out for an occasion, you could do this in a matter of and it's it will really take that long and then, when you get even more skilled, you can do it faster little tangle. Okay, so once you sprayed it you're going to do the exact same thing, and I think this video is going to be a bit long, but it's okay, so I'm just gon na take it upside down and then let go the same for this one and then Go so then the bangs I love doing my bangs when it's curly like this, so I'm just going to comb them out. So I'm not tangled, but I take some hairspray careful not to get it in your eyes, spray it down, comb it and then take sections of your bangs so that you can really perfect them and you're just going to flip them outwards. Well, like that, I'm just going to take this big section, pull it through and then it kind of like flips out and it'll fall within a couple of minutes just a little. It won't fall a lot because of the hairspray, but and then you can pretty much go back to wherever you want to fix up um yeah, that's pretty much the overall hair look and then you can take your hairspray again go spray. It make sure it holds. Shake it just play around with it, and this part is kind of not as wavy as the other side. So let me go and fix that just hold it and let go so that is the complete look. Looks like that. So I'm just going to turn this off and I will put a link to where you can buy all of these products on the sidebar I'll list. mcg267: @IIGizII Yes, PLEASE use a heat protectant. I didn't for a really long time because I didn't think it was necessary, but it really is. There is a huge difference in the texture/look of my hair now. It's soft, doesn't LOOK dry any longer, plus it just makes your hair smell good too. :)

leoraac: Aww, I love curly hair, I would wear it curly every day if I had it naturally. But anyways...Chances are your hair length falls slightly longer then should length. If so, it's gonna curl outward naturally (and I don't think there is any way to avoid it). Either grow your hair out, or cut it just below shoulder length will solve the problem. Reserve bobs for straight hair styles have been really popular in the last year (google image it!), but I'm not sure how they'd look curly. Hope I helped :-)

Claire Wessel: I love that flat iron so much it is the best. I used a drugstore one....sucked! I tried babyliss...it damaged my hair and left a fried hair smell and I couldn't get rid of it. I tried a hot tools and it worked ok...but this is the BEST! It seemed to just get rid of my spit ends and made my hair very shiny! It is only 95 dollars but is is worth every single dime! I HIGHLY recomed this iron!

808animalistic: @Lindsey Hunt you can do it her way without spraying your hair with hairspray. Plus it depends of your hair type. Usually coarse hair is easier to style. If you have thin hair texturize it by using two day hair.
