Hi guys and welcome to my channel, my name is Chloe Brown and if you are new welcome, you can go ahead and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more hair videos, more makeup, videos and some about me stuff - and you can also check me Out on instagram, if you haven't, but you probably came from there but anyways welcome today, I'm going to show you how to add volume into your hair. Some things that I use to add volume into my hair and different techniques that you can do to add volume into your hair connect. Can I say, volume one more time this video is gon na, be how to add volume. So my hair right now I went. I took a shower last night and I blow dried it. I didn't use a round brush or anything. I just kind of blow dried it and then slept on it, but I'm gon na talk you through some things that you could do if you just got out of shower and you want to blow dry your hair to add volume into it. A thing I highly highly suggest, I suggest this to everybody that asks. How do I get volume in the roots of my hair, this stuff adh dry. It is a texture cream and it is very, very flexible, but it has a ton of memory and it's not sticky if you blow dry it into your roots. Now you just need a tiny piece size of this. Just really concentrate it into your roots. All the way back and then go ahead and blow-dry it in this way, your hair literally has some grit to it, so it sticks up, but you can still run your fingers through it. That'S the thing I love about this product, a lot of products that you use out there, that do add volume into the root or the base of your hair, they're very sticky - and I am NOT a huge fan of that, so a th dry in your root Low dry that sucker in now another thing you can do with ADHD is you can round brush or you can use a smaller round brush um? This is the 43 silicone round brush by crock, and this is the 33. I really like this one, especially to just really really get in there and really focus in if you want a bigger volume or more hair that you want. I would definitely suggest this one, the 43. Alright, another thing that you can do is when you round brush your hair, so you want a round brush it this way or you can round brush it back it honestly, it doesn't matter if you round brush it, you want to press this little cold section. So you have a really hot heat on there and then press the cold section that way cools down your hair so that it'll keep the lift so go ahead and blow-dry your hair on hot and then press this button to cool it down. So your hair is cool and then release when I'm done blow-drying. My hair, I like to just keep that cool button on and really lift up my roots and cool down my roots, so that my hair cools up rather than down. Does that make sense. I hope that helps another thing that you can do if you don't like using the texture cream, because, honestly, you do have to blow-dry it in. If you want to use like a lift volumizing spray, you could do that. This is the Amika bombshell. Blowout won this one. You can feel it. Definitely when you put it in your roots, but you can go ahead and spray this in your roots, so you can blow-dry it or let it air dry. Sometimes I even spray this on my roots and then like I'll, put my hair up in a little thing like this and just let it dry it with a little clip right there that helps to now say you are getting ready to do your hair. Just like me - and you want just a little bit of lift - I always use the kenra platinum dry, texture spray. It'S my favorite dry texture, spray Amica has one too, but you just go ahead and spray it on your roots. Just like that, and then put it over and run your fingers through it to just really mesh it on in there and it just kind of separates your hair. It takes away that silky feeling adds just a little bit of I mean you can definitely feel it. It just feels like a little bit of baby powder mixed in with a tiny bit of hairspray, so you can go ahead and do that. You can also add puff me. If you have thin hair, there's puff me light. You can go ahead and spray these into your roots. Big sexy hair has a powder play one two, this one: have you kind of just do this little dab go ahead and put that in your hair, and you can run your fingers through it like this and let the lift go up. Another thing for me that I do pretty much all the time is teasing now. If you just want a little tease, you can go ahead and pick up like a piece of hair. I dry texture spray. It really backcomb that back and that way it stays. Let me show you this thing, so dry, texture, spray, backcomb and smooth it over. So there we go. That is just an easy way to add some volume I mean. Obviously I just did one section. If I do more, my hair can be super voluminous, and this is not. I mean this is like a tease that will fall out more if your hair is very, very difficult. I suggest you take a tiny section brush it up. Texture spray add a little hairspray. Then take your teasing comb and really focus in on that root. Keeping this hair very straight, and you can tell that bad boy is not going anywhere. You can go ahead and just do layers and layers and layers of that type of teasing, and then you just brush through it and it will stay usually when I'm all done teasing my hair. I go ahead and lift just like that. Hair spray it and let go so there is that looked in there, that's keeping it up. Another thing you can do this is very differently, it still works, so you can take a flat iron and you can take your hair. I mean my flat neck, my flat iron, it's not on right now, you can understand, put the flat iron at the root twist up and release, and that way you have kind of curled your hair to where it stands more up, but anyways, like I said I Haven'T done my hair today, but I wanted to show you guys some easy ways to add volume into your hair without stressing out cuz. Sometimes these products, you don't know how to use them or you get overwhelmed because there's so many different products. Honestly, the best thing to do is just try one if it doesn't work, try a new technique with the same product. If it doesn't work, just freaking tease your hair, just tease it the teasing works every time, especially if you just take little tiny sections, really really concentrate that tease right at the root you can do. I would say, probably five sections from here to here and then I would do one of those like loose sections down here that way, your tees and your volume will stay all day. Now, when you do that, just brush that top layer over and then you can like run your fingers in your hair if you have any gaps, but that should stay all day anyways. I hope this was very helpful for you guys, and I hope that that gave a little bit more information to what the products are, how you tease your hair and why not so thank you guys so much for watching. I will catch you in my next video

Sondra: I'm a little late to the party but that tip to use the ADH on your roots and blow dry worked amazing! I have basically the same haircut as you (I used a pic of you as reference for my stylist without realizing it was you) and I've never been able to get volume in my hair until I tried that. Thank you so much for sharing.

J Kenyon: Ty so much for this video! I'm a 50+ yr old, with a stacked bob, and this was the most understandable institutional video i've seen!! Great tips!

Jana Bloomfield: Girl!! This video is 1 1/2 years old and still so incredibly relevant! Where were you in 1986? You could have totally upped my hair game! Thanks for the useful tips, I promise to only use them in a tasteful, and non 80’s manner. Have a Happy and Blessed New Years!!

Lorraine Brotherston: I have learned so much from watching your videos, you would think at 57 I would know how to do my hair and makeup but I was always that girl who was outside. I'm now learning how to use makeup to enhance my features. I love that your makeup is always soft looking. I recently got a disconnected pixie and I'm really loving the funky look.

Sabrina Arredondo: Chloe your so amazing thank you for the tutorial hair videos and makeup it’s been so helpful for me because I cut my hair like a pixie cut or a inverted or stacked bob and and once a pixie grows out like a cute bob you give me awesome ideas how to style it a d give it volume with out wasting so much money and also make up brands so cheap and so amazing at a affordable price thank you so much chloe

Stephanie Hrudowsky: Love the new background! Simple but so cute!

Susan's Faves: I recently cut my hair in a similar style to get rid of all my color (I hadn’t colored the grays in 15 months...or been to the salon! Yikes!!) so about 6” we’re cut off. I have a lot of gray in front but the back had more dark brunette. Due to some hormonal changes and medication, I’ve lost a lot of volume. I have naturally wavy hair and it used to be super thick. I’m okay with the volume left as it makes styling easier. This video really was helpful and shows me what products and techniques to try. Thank you so much!!

Dee Kelly: Love this; thank you!

Melody Robertson: I’m seriously thinking about cutting my hair like this next week!!!! ❤️ I love your videos!!!

lbrightification: Yay thanks for this! You're so helpful!

Jackie Peterson: I just cut my long hair off yesterday like yours. It was so dry and colored many times!!!I didn’t shave my sides, though. I was really scared it would make my face look bigger. It’s a bob with longer sides. When my stylist should me my before and after hair, my face looked thinner. Everyone says I look younger, which is sweet at 40! Gonna have fun styling and playing with it.
