Hey you guys it's Erin welcome back to my channel. What I want to talk to you about today is just what you do with second or third day old hair as busy moms or busy women juggling. You know work and marriages and kids and just things activities most of us don't get to wash your hair every single day. We don't have time to wash and dry our hair every day, especially if you have longer hair. You know it's a very time-consuming process to blow it out to make sure it looks presentable, because you can't just like some of you might be lucky enough to just shower and then walk out the door and just kind of let it air dry. But I actually used to do that a lot in my 20s, but I really can't get away with that anymore. I feel like, since you know I've gotten older. I kind of need the hair, so anyway, I often have second or third day old hair. Just just from a time perspective. I just don't have the physical time to devote to drying my hair every single day. You know from an efficiency perspective. I just think it's more efficient and better for your hair to not wash it every single day and not dry it every single day and my hair is already colored. I do highlights so you know I have that element added on top of it, whereas if you don't color your hair, it may be fine for you to wash it every day. But since I color my hair, I don't really want to do the wash in the heat every single day. So then, what do you do when your hair looks like this right? You wake up. You get out of bed, and this is this - is what we're talking about well, first of all, you can put a little makeup on that always helps. But what I do is you know I'll get up and then I will brush my hair. Usually not always. I know that's sad, but sometimes in the carpool line. I do not have brushed hair so I'll brush my hair, which will help you know just make it look a little bit better, okay, so at least it's sort of brushed and smooth, but I still have that kind of like it looks a little greasy and it Looks like it needs to be washed feeling. So that's when I reach for my dry shampoo, this one is dove dry shampoo, it's called refreshing care and I rely can't remember who talked about this. I think it might have been Marnie, I don't know. Was it you Marnie? I bought it. I liked it a lot, so I just spray that kind of at the root along the sides. So it has the sort of white powdery affected, get it's sort of like a root, fixer and add some like volume to my hair, and it makes it look less greasy. So it's really kind of a three-in-one. So I just go along the the part. The sides along the hairline, basically alright, so already it's looking a little bit fresher right. So then I have some go-to hairstyles that I use that get me out the door in a pinch when again, I'm just in a hurry, but I want to look pulled together. So the first would be probably the one I do most often, which is literally like I just parted on the side. You know it's already been brushed. I get these clumps in the back, so I just want to make sure it's nice and smooth okay smooth. I gather it with one hand: now, here's the hand with the rubber band, see it and then all I'm going to do is put it through once put it through again and then just loop. It loop it under so see. I have that little loop back there and then I'll turn around show you what it looks like in the front, so I usually have one piece that hangs down. Sometimes I will curl this piece a little bit and then I just kind of stick a finger in there and loosen it up a little bit. So it's not so tight to my head, and sometimes I can go like more to the side with that little loop and you can pull it tighter if you want a tighter, do more of a tight loop. So that's an easy one and then you can make the loop smaller or bigger, depending on what you want to do, the second one I showed you guys before I think a long time ago, but I'm going to show it to you again. This is what I do to create some volume on the top of my hair. You can always tease your hair, I'm I'm all about the teasing where you just go right where and then smooth it out. That'Ll definitely create volume in a hurry right, but there's another little sneaky way and if you have a nice comb, I would part do one part here. I just have my brush with me. So I'll just show you with my brush and then do the same. Like equidistant part on this side and then what you have is this kind of middle section. This would have been what you curled in the 80s. You know felt like bangs section, except now. It'S actually one length usually and long, and then we are going to do. Is you're going to take that and just braid it so like a regular, braid? Okay, so once I've run out of hair and my hair is a little layered, so I've run out of hair pretty quickly. There goes the dry shampoo. If I am shiny and sweaty it's because our AC quit up here, it's a separate unit, and so it's it's 84 degrees up you're right now. What happens? Is this braid? Pushes your hair a little bit forward and creates volume? Now I can't see if it's I'm too far away to see if it's even sometimes it's not even so, you have to pull a little bit out, but just keep that in mind. If it's not even you want to just kind of even it and then I can either leave it like this just kind of half up, you know with a little volume on top or what I like to do. A lot is: why use one of these guys, which is a round brush, but it's got those special bristles that really gets all of the hair thick. It'S like boars Boar's, Head, boar's, hair or some sort of animals hair. Is that bad, but like a PETA violation anyway, so it gets all of the hair and I brush it back now. My hair is finally starting to get longer, so I can actually do a pony again. I don't remove the rubber band from the top section and then I just put another pony tail in now. If you have a nice long, sleek ponytail, that's going to look fabulous. You know that long straight sleek pony my hair's a little bit shorter right now. So you know, I don't have that long, sleek pony effect, but it's still cute and then you can take this one step further and just take a little piece of hair underneath so a little tiny piece and wrap it around the actual pony and you could bobby Pin that in, but what I often do is easier for me is just to tuck it into the rubberband, and I feel like it's more secure that way, so my hair actually wraps the rubber band yeah. So that hair is like you know less than five minutes and when you do the parts really sharply these parts right here. You do have that dramatic contrast between this section and this section, which i think is like edgy and cool and fun so the next one. I want to show you is one that I learned from hairstylist and it's really easy and it's fun, and I just wanted to show it to you guys. So all you do for this one is, I would do a quick like grab the upper section of your hair, put them in a clip or whatever you have hair tie whatever works best, and then you have this kind of section underneath that you put into a Bun and then you put a hair tie around that bun or you could bobby pin it. I guess, but this is just as easy. Okay and then you take out the top part and you might want to go over it again with a brush. So what we're doing here is just creating a faux faux bob. So now what you do is you take some bobby pins? This is what we packaging I have here, I'm just going to take a few. There we go and I'm going to go in the back and all I'm going to do is grab a section. So here's the section and I'm going to flip it flip it under. So the hair is, you know like swirled under and then I'm just going to take my bobby, pin and pin that section to the back of my hair. Now I think you don't have to like pin the whole thing. You can leave a couple pieces hanging if your hair is not that long. So here's another one, this one is going to take you a little bit longer. You could add more pins or you know, certainly do a nicer job than I am when you're looking in the mirror. I'M doing this free style there we go. I'Ve created a little faux bob and I like leaving that piece out in the front. I think that's really elegant, so you can do this like. Oh, I want to just feel like I have a bob, but I don't actually have a bob and then, if it's too contrived or too folded under you know just loosen it up. By pulling on it or taking a couple pieces, little pieces, wispy pieces out. You know like maybe I want to take out a piece up at the front like that. So there's your faux Bob and then last but not least, I want to show you guys my top knot, because I think the top knot is really cute and especially if you have makeup on when you don't have makeup on you you I personally, I want my Hair, it just helps, but if you do have makeup on, but you don't have time to do your hair, the top knot can be a really cute solution. Okay, so for the top knot, I want to go back to my brush. That really gets all the hair and top notch. You can either do you know your side part and then pull it like this or you can go full-blown and just pull it all straight back. It'S up to you, whatever your feeling like now. I can't look in the mirror, so I can't see how smooth it is, but I would obviously I would check it in the mirror and see now, and the other important thing to note here is that I don't have. I don't have a lot of hair right. My hair is not really long, so if your hair is longer you're going to get a better top knot, okay, so here I think you all know how to make a bun, but basically I just twist it and then twist it and twist it and swirl it Around did you see that so there you have and then I wrap the rubber band around a couple times. Let'S see this, one really wants to go around three times. So here's the key, because right now, it's sort of like a sad little top knot. You kind of pull at it like you pull at the sides and then you can pull at the top. You don't want to pull the whole thing out, but you want to just create more volume with your top knot and when it's a natural top knot, it always looks so much better than the hot bun thing. I think you can. I can't really see from this far away, but I think that's about right and then, if you wanted whispies, you can pull down whispies whatever you prefer. A little like headband would be cute if you're younger, but that's another like go to got to run out the door hairstyle that feels like pulled together elegant, it's also great in the heat I'm just as I'm. You know here, I'm just totally dying from the 84 degrees, so I hope that you guys, like those little quick, hairstyles they're, really some of my go-to s, especially with the two day old hair, and let me know if you have any questions. I wanted to remind you next week I am going to tackle wardrobe basics - that's a big one! I'Ve done it before, but I think it's worth it's time to do it again so be sure to tune in. For that don't forget to subscribe to my blog. You know a lot of you will see something on a video and then you're like where's the link. How come I can't see it. Where is it? I always put the links on the blog, so you know you want to subscribe to the blog. So you don't miss out on those and then also I do a lot of content on the blog that I don't put on YouTube. So, for example, last week I did how to wear a blanket wrap or a poncho that I did not put on YouTube and I put a bunch of options and all price right price points for you guys to take a look at so there's a lot of Different content on the blog, it's just a different medium. It'S a different way that I can share information with you so be sure to subscribe to the blog and then also Instagram is another medium. I use all the time and I put a lot of different content. There'S always overlap, but I do a lot of like looks of the day on Instagram that I don't necessarily feature on the blog or on YouTube, and then you do a lot of just like you know, product shots or just some inspirational shots travel shots that I Wouldn'T do anywhere else so be sure to check me out on Instagram it's at Buzzbee style and that's all I have for you guys, um. Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate it. I and it's really really really affordable like ridiculous. It'S sixteen dollars. The name of the website is called she in comm. I'M going to put a link to this below

Marnie Goldberg: It WAS me!! Isn't it great! Love Dove Dry Shampoo!!

Momma Bear: Oh my goodness the braid in the middle is amazing. Thank you! I'm a mama in my mid 30s, just welcomed our 4th beautiful baby a few weeks ago I've been thoroughly enjoying ALL your videos from even years ago. (This one) I just wanted to say how much I appreciate how TIMELESS your tips are. I can watch videos from years ago and they don't feel dated at all that's how you know you are incredible at what you do

BeautyFashionandFauna: Thank you for the tips, Erin. The braid trick will be great because I have flat hair. A few recommendations for you. Paul Mitchell makes super skinny serum which cuts drying time in half. I used to use Dove, but I switched to batiste dry shampoo based on some blogger recommendations. Batiste costs more, but I feel like it takes me longer to use a can of their product versus Dove. If you see it be sure to give it a try. FYI the spray comes dispenses faster and the product is more concentrated. Overall, I think you'll be satisfied with the finished look.

Mommys Healing: I love your channel. I love your style, your tips, and that you keep it real. I am a forty one year old woman who has a son in the Army, a daughter getting married on the 17th, and a sixteen year old son at home. I am finally getting back to making time for myself, but have still got work and home to take care of. Your tips are so helpful. I am a firm believer that our forties is the perfect time to experiment with new beauty ideas, fashion, and health. Our families are growing and moving on. We have spent many years doing what was convenient for the sake of multitasking and taking care of our families. Now it is time to think about ourselves a bit, and how we can get a more put together look so that when my Angels bring their friends around I am not just mom. I am a mom who shows them that even a 41 year old woman can have a style of their own that is appropriate for our ages.

MC_3ei: Thanks for sharing such helpful tips. As a mom myself, I am always searching for some quick and easy ways to make myself look more pulled together.

CkJohnsonPhD: Always love new ideas for 2nd day hair! I'll have to try the looped ponytail option. Lately, I've been wearing a casual top knot or a low pony with a hair pin or a leather tie. I didn't know Dove made dry shampoo, I've been using Detox by Drybar but have been looking for an alternative so I'll give the Dove a try, thanks!

Carol Crawford: HI Erin, I love your ideas! My hair is similar in texture and length. Although my hair has thinned as I have gotten older, I can easily pull off these styles. Have a great weekend. XO, Carol

2424hvl: You look beautiful in all of these, and this was very helpful! Your baby girl also can really rock a top knot=)

lindsmku: You look extra gorgeous in this video! I think longer hair is easier for 2nd/3rd day hair. When I had short hair I felt like I always had to actually style it. Thank god the messy bun is in. My 3 year old even rocks it lol. Have a great weekend!

Amy Grif: Love this Erin! Loving your makeup look here!

Diane Carmelle Serré: You are just gorgeous and adorable. Thanks for sharing these tips. When my hair was longer, I would use a mismatched sock, cut the toe section off, roll it up and use it to increase the size/fullness of my bun. I would also, at times, create a top knot with the sock with wet hair and go to bed with it. Next morning, when I removed the sock I would have cascading soft curls.

Bau Bae: Dove's dry shampoo is very good. It smells nice too! Thanks for the video. Simple easy and stylish.

paulaburrell3858: Thanks so much for this video. It was so great seeing a normal person (not a hair guru) give me some great ideas. I'm definitely going to try those styles. Thanks!!!

Alma Toledo: Ladies, I have massive thick hair. I have 3 hairstyles when it is day 3, I wear a headband, day 4 half a pony, day 5 a chignon or giant bow created with my own hair on top. I have very dry scalp and it takes 4 days for it to start looking oily. I will integrate some of These Fabulous ideas, Erin.

judyanthro: Erin, Can not do the hair styles ( too old ) wish I could but I still loved watching the video. Yes, your are glowing, my dear...can not wait for you to share what you have been doing. Also, excited for your next weeks Fall suggestions. Have a wonderful weekend. Judy from Canada xo

Marnie Goldberg: I LOVE these ideas!! I can't wait to try the braid in the middle and the top knot! This is brilliant!

Caroline Calcote: Love these hairstyles Erin! Simple, but I you definitely gave me some ideas I have not tried. You look gorgeous.

Jennifer Ann Fox: love those ideas. I'm one that only washes twice a week. It really helped my hair. I said that on one lady's blog and she basically told me everybody had to wash hair everyday or it would smell. I felt bad but I don't think it does. I think the secret is a good brush and leaving the heat off of it. In my 50's my hair is dryer from coloring and just doesn't need it. Also I'm a professional and work in a practice setting and I just don't have time to sit and dry every day. I love the top knot. Used to do that in my younger days. May try it again. My stylest though cut shorter than I wanted last time and it's a loyered bob that I can't do much with but my hair grows fast. I saw a brush like the big one you have at Ulta and think it was called the Marilyn or something like that.

kristycurl: My favorite on you was definitely the top knot! Really elegant and cute!

Southern Sass: Hey Erin! I subscribed a few weeks ago by finding your Nordstrom sale video. I've really enjoyed watching your videos and I think your channel is much more informative than many other fashion channels. Thanks for making great content!

Allison Patterson: Your glowing skin looks amazing. I noticed you used an hourglass palette and I just purchased it. It’s not like me to be impulsive but your skin looks so radiant and I have that vib discount. Seriously your makeup looks beautiful. You’re so pretty

Christette C: Great ideas for hair styles! Your skin looks amazing! Thanks for sharing.

You Tubie: I highly, highly recommend the Goody Spin Pins for quick hair buns (or not quick ones). They make lots of great styles and keep buns very very secure. They come in different colors for different hair colors and are my bad hair skill pride and joy. I use 2 long and 3 small to really secure my long hair. I'm really bad at hair even without kids or major obligations, so these are great for me - hoping to try the one with the braid tomorrow :) Thanks Erin!

Melissa55: These were some great hairstyles, Erin and I got some terrific ideas. You look so pretty! I'm going to try some of these. Have a great weekend! xoxox, Melissa

theclosetshopper: That dry shampoo is my FAVORITE!! I've been using that for awhile and it's my holy grail! I don't know why that was so exciting for me. haha. xo, Tracy

Julie Eller: I was thinking I needed to comment on how pretty your skin looks in this video right before you said you were sweltering without a/c!  LOL!!  You even make sweating look great!  Have a nice holiday weekend Erin.  Xo Julie

Erika Lindsay: You're the cutest! I love your videos - always at least one great tidbit to takeaway! I watch so many youtubers that I also adore but learn very little from - but yours are always so informative and value-added. Keep it up!

texas7312: Erin, who are we kidding, with your eyes who cares about the hair. :) Thanks for the tips. I will definitely be trying some. Your skin looks flawless by the way. :)

chestnut638: Love the cute little bun!!

goldcoasthorse100: I shouldn't be using my work account to comment, but I am so thrilled with this video Miss BusbeeStyle, Erin. I am 55 years old and have never known what to do with my hair. Don't panic its good hair :). I love the dos! They are easy to do and they look good even on me! Thank you so much.

Jean Marie: It is so refreshing to see someone with hair just like mine (the texture and length.. not the color. ;) ) And it is so refreshing to see someone not using unnecessary extensions. haha. Those are cute styles.

Kim Higgins: great tips. I love Dove Dry Shampoo also. Your skin looks flawless in this video.  Have a great weekend!

Diane Doskoch: Great video! Try the foam version of Dove dry shampoo. It's like a moose, it works better than the powder for me.

Douglasville Darling: I love how natural you seem here

calimntgirl: "What do you do when you wake up and you're left with...THIS....This is what your hair looks like..."Hair looks flawless already....

Lisa Copeland: Love the hair styles! What foundation and lip stick color are you wearing in this video? Love it! Lisa

Peleaulani Mahi: Great video!!! And you look beautiful...your makeup and your skin look amazing !!!

Alma Toledo: I suuuper needed this video, please... more!!! More hairstyles. Thank you.

Courtney McLaurin: Not sure if you are doing anything different with your skincare routine but your skin has just been glowing in the past few videos! You look 10 years younger

Lou S: You are definitely top knot ! ❤️

Caroline Lala: Love your videos :)

Harriett Kelley: That was so awesome! First you love, beautiful even if it was 84 in your video room. The twinkle lights look so cute! Loved all the ideas and especially the bob idea. I soooooo want to cut my hair but I look much better with longer hair. Any chance you might do a video/blog topic how to clean out your closet/how to weed out things you don't really wear anymore. You know what I am talking about. I bet you have some great ideas, tips and suggestions.

Judy Andrews: what looks good also is instead of tucking the hair under is have it go up so it fans out. Looks very nice also.

Jackie O: I love all your hair style videos

Amy Howell: Thank you Erin xxx

Anni Psy: that dry shampoo did some magic there...

Alma Toledo: Sometimes I leave the loop pony as a chignon

JennaSytyle: Does the dry shampoo have much of A scent/stong scent?
