What is better than a new haircut to keep you cool and looking hot this summer? Sal is here with this season's trending haircuts and i'd love to know sal what you're noticing when it comes to hair like what's happening with hair? Well, the whole wash and wear thing is a big thing. It'S summer, easy haircuts that are gon na kind of get you out of the house a little quicker. That'S right, i'm noticing, in terms of what's happening on the trend side of things, it's all about bombs, layers and bangs, bob's layers and bangs. That actually makes me excited, i'm loving the bangs. So let's get into the very first trend, uh bobs! So bobs, are you know it's an interesting point on bobs. They are still the most sought after haircut in the industry, most googled haircut and the best part about them is because traditionally they were always very straight. No layered haircuts anywhere from the jaw to kind of above the shoulder yeah right now, you're, seeing them with natural texture, right you're, seeing that curl come out with the same sort of shape and it just looks great and it's easy and natural yeah. I love that people can get all shaggy and rock them out and have some fun with their bobs if people want to get into how like what to use styling them. Yes, so when styling a bob, you know traditionally again, if we're going to go with the smoother bob, because the natural one's a natural one, yes, the smoother one, you want to use more of a brush. A paddle brush type thing doesn't necessarily need to be a round brush. I got a great one right here that i love to use for it it's by our one of our own jason lee. It'S the melon, cara, brush and um fantastic option to use even to freshen it up the next day. Love that and we know, jason lee knows a thing or two he sure does right. Okay, this next haircut trend has a very strange name. Yes, this one here is called the bixi okay, and this is big c it's fun, because it's essentially everything that happens between the pixie and the bob that we used to just call. It grow out, yeah the in-between phase yeah. Now it's a haircut now it's in stock! Now it's in style like hallelujah, if you're in between now you're on trend, absolutely but also think of all the fun little styles that evolve in those grow outs right right. You always hit these points where, like wow, i love this, but we never really duplicate that we always kind of go either too far back or too far ahead. Yes, so we're creating it in between easy to style. Right, it's a it's a great summer option wash and wear styling two tips would be. This is a great one right here. This it again caters to the whole curly wavy, textured, hair cool, new new line by l'oreal. It'S called curl expression, it's all things, curl defines them, gives them shine. Hydrates them gives a great body, my daughter's, loving it she's got really curly hair. I think you've seen it. Yes, i have, and i would uh i would definitely go with one of these mooses to create one of those products right. One of those finishes right there just quickly tell me how you should be using a mousse. A lot of us are doing it wrong. Absolutely a comb. You need a comb when using mousse okay. So it's like a golf ball size in your hand, yeah you kind of just dab the comb in yeah, okay, in your wet hair and you're, going to comb. It through it gets in there and it hydrates everything from routine, very good. Okay, we all do we're not doing that properly in the 80s. No, by the way we were not. Let'S talk big things, i'm thinking about bangs too. You either love them or you hate them. I love them. What are we seeing this summer when it comes to babies, they're always fun right, we're seeing different variations of bangs right, we're still seeing a lot of curtain bangs, we love them there. It'S the bang! Without the full commitment of the bank, yes right, if you want to get a little more committed to it, you can you can try that birkenbang, okay popular in the 60s by the iconic, jane, birkin, look: okay! Okay, it's a little wispier! It'S it's very trendy! It goes with the whole layers. That'S happening right now. Is it longer it's just kind of sitting on the eyebrow. I like that right, very fun, uh, there's the short bang, the curly short micro, bang, yes, which is harder to pull off. I think, but i love it when it works, it works and which is great. It works and uh definitely a great option to try, and this is the time to do it. Yes, for sure like is there anything you need to worry about in terms of face shape? If you want to go for that micro, bang um, you know, i don't actually think so with the micro bang. I think you got the hair to do it. You have the hairline to do it, yes, rock it do it it's great. Just fine and you know what if it doesn't work, it's going to grow out. Thank god for us. It keeps growing right anything we need to think about when it comes to styling wash and wear sorry. So, when styling, of course, though, i was thinking that the curly bang there it's wash and wear styling bangs, you want to use a smaller brush all right. I got this great ghd. One right here: pay attention to the size: it's not a large one. This is a small brush that gets under the bang and allows you to get a full blow dry on it got it. Okay, you need that tiny little brush um. Lastly, people who are loving layers uh, can you talk to us a little bit about that back in um? The whole 90s influence is happening right now. I'M loving the layers. I love styling haircuts with layers because it brings you back to that blow out the whole jennifer aniston, the and uh. It'S just great fun healthy, looking hair. So you get that shag going on absolutely you can get the shade going on, but you can polish it and finish it. So it doesn't look like a messy shag. It can look like one that has some structure to it. Yeah. I know you wanted to talk about this guy. Would you help with that? This helps with everything this is kind of a go-to, so we use spf on our skin. You need the same version for your hair, okay, so there's a moisturizing heat and uv protector yeah. Okay, it's by voir hair care. Okay, it's made right here in canada, cruelty free nice, it's uh! It'S got all the good stuff to protect your hair, it's a great foundational product and you can add stuff on top of it. It'S a go-to for the summer! So much hair inspo served up just now. Thank you.
