Hi guys welcome back to my youtube channel and welcome back to another red hair video today, i'm finally doing my root touch up slash red hair refresh routine. This is exactly what i do to kind of get my hair back to this nice, vibrant red, that it is when i freshly color it. I'M so sorry that i couldn't get this video up sooner. As you guys know, if you watched my previous video april has just not been my month, um and it just kind of like keeps going in like a snowball effect, so yeah, i'm definitely looking forward to may, and you know what it's going to bring and just Kind of having a fresh, clean slate - and you know be able to get these videos going much smoother for you guys. I don't want this intro to be too long, so we're just gon na jump right into today's video before we do. Please make sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and hit that notification bell so you're notified when i upload a video on that note. Let'S begin all right, you guys so there's actually two different ways that you can go about touching up your hair when you are red and that's basically going to depend on your needs and your wants. If you are someone who colored your hair the first time and you feel like it could be a little bit brighter and better, then you can actually just go in with the l'oreal high color once again to lift your hair color a little bit more. The color won't be super bright. It'S just going to lift, maybe like one to two levels depending on how dark your hair is. That is an option you have if you want to brighten up your red hair as well as touch up your roots. I personally am happy with the shade of red that i have so all i want to do is lift my roots to match the rest of my hair, and then i just want to redeposit the red onto the rest of my hair. In the past, i used to go in with l'oreal high color, all over my hair, every single time that my hair would fade, and i don't recommend using l'oreal high color too often or every time you want to refresh your hair, because it will eventually start to Cause some dryness and damage so with that said, let's go on and get into the application. So, as you can see, my roots have definitely grown in i'd, say around maybe two to three inches very, very wide. But i do this on purpose because obviously i'm using a high lift hair dye, so i'm not trying to overlap what i previously did with this new hair color on top. That can obviously lead to a lot of breakage, and you know i already have enough of those little flyaways at the top of my hair. I do not want more so over here, i'm just applying some petroleum jelly. You guys know that's just my favorite way to protect the hairline, the back of my ears as well as the back of my neck. So once that's all set we're gon na go ahead and pop some gloves on make sure to protect your hands because red hair dye does not play honey, it does not play it will get everywhere and it will look like a crime scene. So next you're going to need a little mixing bowl as well as a brush for developer, i'm going to go in with 30 volume, and this is just what i like to use to kind of lift my dark hair. So i'm just going to go ahead and measure out what i need for that and then for my hair color. I am going back in with l'oreal high color in the shade magenta taking two boxes for my roots. That'S pretty much! What ended up working out for me, so i'm just gon na go ahead and mix those in with my developer. Pretty much the same thing i did in my original transformation. Video we're gon na want that nice creamy consistency and then i'm gon na go ahead and part my hair. So i usually like to do about four little section. I do these little 90s of fun buns over here and you know just clip it out of the way and then kind of just work my way through the back and work my way towards the front, i'm not very specific, with my root application, as you can See here i just pretty much make sure to coat everything as best i can, because my roots have grown in so much. I actually like to go in with my fingers and really kind of melt it through the root and just really make sure i'm saturating everything, because there's nothing worse than leaving your roots out when you're recoloring them. It'S just so embarrassing. It'S definitely happened in the past, but i feel like my root. Application has definitely gotten better throughout the years, so yeah just make sure to go through and really feel out. The roots make sure everything's, nice and covered up and yeah just basically doing the same thing. All throughout the hair i'm gon na, let you guys watch a little bit of my technique. You know definitely not a pro. I'Ve said that before um and i'll be back to explain the thank rest. So once my roots have been all covered up, i'm going to go ahead and wrap up the ends of my hair to get them out of the way, and i like to let my roots process for about 15 to 20 minutes. That'S just what i feel comfortable doing. I have done 30 in the past um. If your hair is a lot darker in color, naturally definitely go with 30, but yeah 15 to 20 is what works for me once i'm out of the shower. This is pretty much how the hair is looking, so i can tell my roots: took really really well. I'M gon na go ahead and dry, my hair with my fabulous pro blow dryer, you guys know this is one of my favorites. However, recently i did discover a new tool that i'll be talking about later on, but yeah still do love this blow dryer. So what we're going to do is we're going to try to get our hair about 80 dry. So you don't want it fully dry, but you don't want it soaking wet next up, i'm going to go ahead and pop on one of my super fashionable trash bag t-shirts. You guys know. I love this little hack to protect my clothing, because red hair dye does not play for my semi-permanent hair dye, i'm going in with arctic fox's wrath. This is the most perfect color that i found to be the best match to the l'oreal in magenta. It'S a gorgeous deep, pink based red just honestly gorgeous and this bottle is really big, so it lasts me a long time. So i find it's a really great value as well, then you're going to want to go in with a sulfate free conditioner. So here i'm using a l'oreal ever pure, and this is the moisturizing one. I'M gon na go ahead and apply about equal parts of both of these products into my bowl and mix them together. Once i have a nice consistency, i'm gon na begin to apply this to the ends of my hair. Basically, all the areas that i didn't touch when i did my roots so go ahead and take your time with this process and really make sure to saturate both front and back of all your sections and really just get it in there. The great thing about this technique is you're, not opening up the cuticle in any way or causing any extra damage that is not needed. You'Re simply redepositing that red back into your hair, just to make it nice and vibrant and fresh and just gorgeous and mermaid vibes. You know mermaid vibes, but yeah, i'm gon na go ahead and do this. This is honestly the easiest part of the entire process, everything just glides so easily. It'S way less messy than the original application we did on the roots. So i'm just going to continue repeating the same process all throughout the hair until all the ends have been fully saturated. I so once that's all set, i'm gon na go ahead and wrap up my hair again into my two little fun buns and i'm gon na. Let this sit in my hair for about an hour i like to do it that way, to make sure that this hair color is really staining my hair as best it can, and overall, just lasting me as long as possible. Once my hair has been washed and blow-dried, this is my result. So pretty much the same, exact color i had the first time around. I colored my hair, absolutely love it. It didn't lift it in any sort of way or darken it in any sort of way. So i'm super super happy with these results, all right, you guys, so that is it. That is how i touch up my roots and refresh my hair. I currently have my hair up in a bun right now, because i'm actually working my nine-to-five job right now and i'm filming this quickly on my lunch break, because i wanted to create a little intro outro moment for you guys and not make the video super awkward. So yeah i quickly had to get myself together today. As you can see, my roots have grown in a little bit ever since i filmed those clips about a month back, but you know nothing crazy. I hope you guys found this video helpful and i hope i answered everyone's questions about how i go about retouching, my hair, so yeah. On that note, i'm going to end the video here guys if you enjoyed today's video and got some value out of it. Please give it a big thumbs up. Thank you guys for watching. I love you and i'll see you on my next video bye. You

Katetanic: One good trick: after you wait a while to process the regrowth (or roots), take the remaining color that you might have in the bowl and add really good conditioner in it and run it through the entire hair and wait a half an hour or so. It refreshes and softens the hair. What you did here with the Arctic fox is good too.

Naomi Hernandez: This video was exactly what I’ve been looking for. Can’t wait to try this out. Thank you! :)

Bethany Gail: I just recently dyed my hair red and I am so thankful to have found your channel!! You are so helpful! Thank you for the routine and advice!

Annette Wizner: Omg I dyed my hair yesterday with your video as my guide it turned out so perfect exactly what I wanted ty ty

Lorena Estrada: Yas girl! I'm about to do my own touch up with the L'Oréal techniques shade chroma ruby. I'm so excited because right now I have a washed out red from the salon which is now like gingerish it's not too bad but I wanna go back to a bright vibrant red especially for summer

Melissa Moore: I’ve been wanting to dye my hair red for yearssssss !! I’ve had her black hair for about 10 years. Currently my roots are grown out about 6in. Idk if all these red hair videos are a good or a bad thing for me but I AM SOOOOO HERE FOR IT ♥️

Sarah Silverthorn: To save yourself a step, I highly recommend using Chi Ionic Mahogany Red...I get it on Amazon. Whenever I wash my hair, I use this product as my color deposit to keep from losing my color (same as yours). It seriously has been a huge game changer!

LA VIE OF ANGEL: I am in love with your hair colour I literally want to dye my hair back red because of you

Mary Jimenez: I love your red color I actually have it red right now. I just regret cutting my hair your videos are really well explained

Kimberly Lopez: Just found your channel and I absolutely love you already Actually going red today ❤️

Amanda Serrato: Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

Pachi: this was so helpful, thank you

Carmen Zamora: Hey girl, I have a question! how long do you wait for a retouch for your hair? every month? every 2 months? im going red next month!!!

Evelin Ramos: Just found your channel and subscribed and I’m so grateful! This and your other video of how you maintain it have answered all my questions. I’ve been dyeing my hair since January with L’Oréal HiColor Magenta every 1-2 months. By the time it’s time to retouch my hair is a copper color with black roots. I see that your retouch, your hair still looks pretty red. Would you recommend that I retouch with Artic Fox while it’s this copper color? Or should I re-dye again with L’Oréal HiColor Magenta to get the red back in and then retouch it with Artic Fox before it turns copper? Thank you!

dcmartinez dcmartinez: Girl you killed it with the educational vid!!!

Brittany Looney: I love this color. Im doing this this weekend

Jackeline Alfonso: Beautiful done. Thanks you!

Heal with Mana: I recently found ur channel & im seriously in love!!! Not just for the red hair tips, but i started watching all ur videos from the start & i love the vibes☺️ it makes me so happy when i find an influencer that i can watch & support & watch them grow!! I also have a YT channel & honestly youve inspired me to step my game up with my content!!

Wendy G. Coreas: This was so helpful omg . I love it ❤️

Kristina: This is very cool! I used to use magenta I just did my roots and I put the arctic fox wrath on the rest. I really don't need a hi lift color because I'm a dirty blonde naturally. I just like my red to be really bright. I'm a dark burgundy for Fall and Winter. Come summer I'll be bright red again. I fell in love with L'Oreal hi l color Red. It's even brighter, but instead I mix wrath, and poison. I add the Wrath in there, so it's not too orange of a red. I like how bright the hi color red is.

Jocelyn : Obsessed! Quick question. Can u just use the L’Oréal for the rest of the hair for the touch up? Or is the Arctic better for the rest of the hair with the semi permanent color?

Ashley Wyatt: I would love to see you mix some purple in with the af. Just a touch of a violet undertone would look so good with your skin tone ‍♀️

Jenyffer Gisela Chávez Rojas: I love how it looks on you

alexia lcrv: I want the exact same hair color it looks so good on you!

Stefani Lindenberg: hii! i followed your first initial red hair dying video but my hair has significantly faded within the last 2 months, it’s got that brassy copper/orange/brown tint to it and i don’t necessarily think using the L’Oréal highlight on it again would be good or useful. any recommendations on how to mend the color when it gets to this point, or would the Arctic Fox help? thanks

sienna lindsay: I currently have my hair red and to take better care of it, I watch your videos! I do have a question though. Why do you use semi-permanent dye on the bottom half but permanent dye on the roots? Does it make a difference?

Yvette Hernandez: recently dyed my red hair but used 4 boxes 2 magenta and 2 red Thanks to ur video im going to just do a touch up and use magenta only love ur hair used to have it like this b4 my husband wanting me to go back to black lol

Fatima Rodriguez: Beautiful I've followed your steps but with loreal hi color in sizzling copper starting with the color remover step and I still can't get it even lengths are slightly darker but not necessarily hot roots. Yours is beautiful

Beauty By Jass: Cant wait to try this way to refresh my red ☺️☺️

Em Bee: I used to use this about 6 yrs ago , its sooooo drying like you said. Now I use Live XL in L75 dark red Lift 3 levels and dye in 1 step

Aria Perez: Amazing video & goal here right here!! Question I colored my hair in Jan magenta & red. I had about 5 inches of virgin hair that took the due great but the ends of my hair were highlighted so now they are fading into orange.. meanwhile I have 2/3 inches of dark roots. Would it be better to follow the this? Or just hit it again with the dye so it has a better chance of coloring it all even?

Honeyhorchata: You’re soooo pretty!!!! You did an amazing job! Dye my hair please! it came out gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!

Chris S: HI ,NEW SUBSCRIBER, going red . love your technique.

India Big-Powers: Recently dyed my hair a deep auburn. Was wondering what color you do your brows, or what products you use. My natural hair is pretty dark brown, not sure if I should keep doing black or use a chocolate brown or something to match my hair. Finding that most "auburn" brow products are too coppery. Thanks!

Hannah B.: Hiya! You're hair is gorgeous! I have a question though- is it possible to go a couple shades darker on the hair that is already colored, so instead of you using arctic fox's magenta could I replace that with a darker red? Thanks!

Mikayla Foster: So pretty ✨

Ashley Esco: I want my hair red again but the maintenance is a pain in the butt sometimes....I love that shade you have

Diona Treitler: Love it!

Mooo Ahhh: How do you maintain your red hair colour after dyeing your hair? :)

Mckenzi Autumn: How do you avoid hot roots your first time dying hair red?

Cortney Turnbill: Sally’s has a color depositing shampoos that has the bright red :)

moon light: Hi, what are the measurents on everything? Much love

adoloresc: Love your channel!!! Recommendation please.. Would it be better to mix magenta and red for a more red color or magenta and a Artic fox red semi permanent conditioner? Your hair is goals:)

Cristina Lopez: Wow beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Its so tempting to color my hair red again but truly love it. Great video ma!

Adam615: Watching this cause I need to retouch .. funny thing I came across your other video cause I wanted to go red but I found your video after I had bleached my hair man was I disappointed.. cause I didn't know about the color remover but I was happy cause I followed your steps how you did your hair red and it turned out a color I loved ❤ Thank you for the videos queen

Elizabeth Arellano: Very pretty ❤️❤️❤️

Mari Carl Jimenez: Loved the colors of her hair

Rocio Fiallo: Hello, are you still using n rage? Or just using attic fox now?Thank you so much for your videos I enjoy it them a lot

KeNabi: The color fades after a month. So what color developer would you use since the color is not starting out dark anymore

Jeniffer Sanchez: Do you do this every two weeks or monthly?

Jessica Rose: Could you mix the arctic fox and the developer on the roots?

Carla Loyola: I’m new to red hair I’ve been getting it done at the salon , but I want to learn how to do it myself of course save money the 30 volume is that the strongest what do u recommend for just root touch also after that’s all finish you used the permanent dye with conditioner what does the conditioner do makes it look silky?

D-nise: So did you wash your hair twice like with shampoo and conditioner ? Once after dying the roots and after dying the rest of the hair?

stephanie johnson: Thanks this helped alot

Stephanie Guerrero: Love the red on youuu! I used the same next time use vaseline all around ur face neck ears & hairline to prevent red stains on the skin cos i hate tht so muchhh

stinky: hey i need help !! i dyed it red and my roots are grown out hut the red has faded to light light brown, do i go for my black roots first or my light ends? (using 30 vol. and hi colour)

Sara Mohd: Omgg finally a hair video ❤️❤️

Sandra: Thank you for this video... do you lighten your eyebrows?

cindy c: Anyone have recommendation for a darker deep wine ded colour instead?

🍒: Ik this video is a few months old but I died my hair for the first time about a month ago and only the top of my head is still visibly red with my roots grown out and (obviously) but the rest is almost already brown what do you suggest I do to even it out to the color on the top of my head it’s not too bright of a red which i like But Im not sure how to go about to make the rest match

Judy Ruelas: Do you shampoo after you do your ends or only rinse?

Thesa1987: Great color, it suits you very well. How often do you dye? I have a copper color and it is fading so quickly. What can I do against that? Thanks

Maria Jessica: I have a question when you put the other color in, does it stain your neck and stuff? Cause I did the same thing and I wake in the morning and my neck is like pinkish

Lisa Landon: So I used your video to dye my hair. How often do you use the wrath? Or rather how often can you use the wrath?

Kacy Xay: I colored my hair tonight and followed your exact steps... first session was good but not as bright. then i did it again within 30 mins... and didnt seem to brighten... im gonna try again the next day..Should i use 20 developer this time and how log should iv leave it in for??

Sumeyra Teke: How do you keep your hair from drying out or looking dry? Because I used to use box dye until people started yelling at me lol then went in for professional redken dye, but its way more drying. My hair is soft, but lookwise it’s dry/dehydrated

Soraya's Fierce Cooking Show: Thank you!

deyci molina: If we were to retouch our hair to brighten do we need to use devoloper again ?

Sakura: Omg im so glad that I found you

blanca aracely: QUESTION ‍♀️ I did the hair dye remover but i missed some of my roots should i use the hair dye remover again to get the roots? I also have some spots of my black dyed I was thinking of using the hair dye remover all over my hair again and do video 1 again or should i do video two instead help!!

Nene Vlogs: Nice looking your hair i love it

Ivana R.: You’re so sweet here is new subscriber , I’m glad I found you

Tres sammie: I want my hair red .

I Said What I Said: Ladies with red hair…. I’m new to being a red head and I’m curious if y’all wash your hair with cold water and how often you wash it???? Thanks in advance

LIVELIKE BRATT: Please help me what do I do. I dyed my hair with L’Oréal hicolors for a root touch up and now my hair is darker than the original color and I hate it. How can I lighten my hair? Can I dye it with a semi-permanent over it?

Shirley Gonzalez: Wait what exact combination did you use? I also use that brand but I’ve never gotten this exact color which is the one I want , plssss tell meee

Polly 🇵🇷: Thank you so much for thus video! I literally went to sally 3 days ago and some lady reccomend me ION BRAND which suck bc my hair got all fuck up... Im gonna go today and try this, i will let you know if this work for me.

Sophie Stier: Why do you use a different dye on the ends than you do on the roots?

Y F: Please help I have hot roots what do I do to get my roots to match my hair :) thank you

Kayla Knutsen: why dont you apply magenta to all of your hair

meryam: Hi girl I love your hair , think you should know check your insulin maybe you have insulin resistance , be safe ❤

Tracy Oliva: what do u do abt some dark spots of hair?? cuz i dyed mine this exact color but some strands are black

vicki langton: Love it....xxxx

Abigale Kirsten: Hey there! Next time use a cruelty free /vegan option cause there’s lots of harm that comes to animals with these other companies. I’ve seen the reviews for cruelty free/vegan products and it works well. Just thought I’d let you know because i don’t think people know how brutal the tests conducted are.

in my old school: Hi I'm new to your channel I love your hair do you only use magenta hair dye or you mix it's with another red thank you

Rachel Nemani: Can I do it without developer?

Carrie Van Sant: so greatful i found your video i am going to learn some more about the toner and go easy first. i love my red hair but not happy lately with my stylist being kinda lazy and leaving me with orange roots. wth is that even from. we never bleached.

Meltem Musa: How often do u wash ur hair?

Cecilia Olv: I watched this video cause right now im in NEED of a red retouch and its my 1st time having red hair. But i have a question, why did u do the roots first and then washed it off and then applied the other color separate? Lmk please

sugarlips561: Love!

Ana Poppa: You're very pretty

Sabrina Dos Santos: Why do you add the conditioner & is that step optional?
