Cynthia Nixon Dishes On Miranda Hobbes Embracing Her Gray Hair In 'Satc' Revival

We'Re all very excited, as you could probably see, this feels like the reunion that, like everyone wants to be at uh, it is exactly that it is exactly that. Yes, i've been hearing from people all day who are sad that they could not get tickets for tonight. So how does it feel to step back into miranda's shoes once again and bring her to now? I mean this is a character that i've loved so much and had such joy in playing and uh people have embraced so much. But i think, what's really crucial for me is that this is a character and a group of characters that the writers have always allowed to evolve and change and grow and age, and that is certainly even more true of this new sequel series. When that first photo came out, i know my instagram like broke, everyone else is dead too, and the hair color change had the internet going crazy. How did that come to be? You know, michael patrick, and i were talking about what would happen to miranda in the first episode and he was saying: maybe there would be some hijinks when she's making this career change, and maybe she had some trouble with her hair color and i was like, i Think she's 55, i think she's got her hair colored down, but that sent him off in a different direction. Thinking! Well, you know a number of women during the pandemic, stop coloring their hair out of necessity, and then they actually decided they liked it and they were going to stick with it, and certainly miranda would be one of those. They look really good. Thank you uh. So we got a little sneak, peek of maybe a little brady sex life action, which uh kind of woke all this right back up again, yeah, you know the kid, the kids. If you feed them, they grow it's just the darndest thing. How is it evolving miranda into this chapter now, where someone that we knew as a little guy is uh talking about some racy stuff? I know it's, i know it's amazing and i we're just you know the the actor that's playing him. Neil cunningham is so incredible, and so i don't know just so brady and you know it's great - it's very makes everything that i every scene i have with him is very easy because he just is the part so much miranda's fashion. We all know it, we love it new fashion miranda, we've seen sneak peeks of of your new look. How is this representative of miranda 2.0, and just like that? I love this. I love it too. I mean you know, i mean miranda's excited to uh. You know have a night on the town and she's really gone all out, for you know what i love. I love all the pants. I do too. I do too. I do too. I do too you and sarah have been friends for so long. How does it feel to be like co-workers again back on set and your favorite? It feels amazing, i mean i have to say. I really never thought we would all come back together, but to be coming back together in such a a new and different way and and going back and mining what the best of what the series had to offer and fixing uh. You know the faults i think, of the of the early season. You know what an incredibly white show it was um to really finally be able to address that and go back and you know be inclusive. It'S amazing felt really nice to meet all your new friends that are joining the show they're. Quite a group they're. Quite a group, amazing actors and amazing people. I see uh, i see steve over there. Yes, where do we find? I mean i'm sure you can't tell me anything. Where do we find miranda? I can't tell you you find them in brooklyn in their home, which became a lot more expensive, since, when uh, we last saw you guys. Yes, property values have gone up which is uh which they're happy about. I guess i guess their taxes have gone up too who's this buy last time.
