He would have had to do 6 years of additional training to pursue Neurosurgery - Meaning if he actually did start university at age 18 strange would have been 32-35 years of age at the beginning of the first movie. Also he was a renowned Neurosurgeon and as mentioned was a pioneer of revolutionary medical techniques and operations which lets say took him another 5 (if not 25 lmao) years to get there, so in reality strange could be between 37-62 years of age . According to the internet Doctor strange is a relatively young 42 years old at the moment .
