Hi!!! It's been a few months and after all of the positive feedback on my last gray hair video I wanted to give you an update on my transition from gray to black hair while also showing you a new look I've been loving! I tend to rock Marley twists a lot but when I came across the ombre gray to black hair I couldn't resist! I am not the best at explaining how to do hair but I wanted to at least try! I hope it helps!

Take care of you,

SJM

Hey guys welcome back to my channel, it's me samantha, but we're all friends, so you can call me, sam okay, um. First of all, i'm really excited for all the awesome comments and feedback and motivation and encouragement to continue on with my uh gray hair journey. Thank you all so much. I really really truly do appreciate it. Every time i receive a comment. It just warms my heart, so i'm glad for one that i'm not in this alone and two i'm really grateful that that video has been able to help. So many people all right in this video - i give you a look at how much gray hair i have now it's been four months and excuse me for my lisp, i'm still rocking my invisalign and the lisp is real. So sorry about that um but yeah, i gave you a look at how much gray hair has grown in since my video four months ago, and i decided to try something new. I still have the silver marley twist, but this time i decided to do the ombre. So black to silver and in this video i give a quick demo of how i actually do that. I was sitting up thinking. You know. I should really record this. It'S been a really long time since i've had marley twist and i decided to go ahead and film how i did it. So if you want to see how far i've come with my gray hair growth and how i did these marley twist, keep watching all right. So for the products i'm using just a bottle full of water, my little handy dandy, spray bottle, eco styler, gel every curly, girl's, favorite, cantu, shea butter, leave-in conditioner, uh, detangling comb and even bigger detangling comb. I actually have that one hanging in my shower. I love to use it when i condition my hair, this hair, i'm so happy. I found this ombre gray hair it's 24 inches long, so this hair is really long. When i do my marley twist, i use rubber bands to section everything just to make sure that i get every part of my hair in the twist, and it's just that much easier for me and it helps me move a whole lot faster. So right now i'm showing you my gray hair, and this is where i'm at right now i have so much in the front. I'D say it's a good couple of inches there and majority of my gray. Hair is in the front, especially on this side, that i'm showing you where i'm parting it out right now, uh in the back. I only have a few strands. It'S like not a lot at all, but right here that patch right there is where i have the most i'll, be so glad when it grows in even more okay right here i am parting it down the middle. I, like my twists, to fall to each side, so i do like a middle part and i am sectioning off the side that i'm not focused on right now, all right, i'm just combing through this section right here, detangling it, because that is going to make your Life so much easier to make sure that there's no snags or anything and now that i've sectioned the top half into two, i'm sectioning one half into two more parts: that's so horrible explaining things! So, thank goodness that you know, there's the video for your visual okay. What i'm doing here is getting my hair really saturated with the water. I love this spray bottle. I got it from the dollar store for a dollar and once my hair is completely saturated, that's when i start going in with my products. I start off with the cantu shea butter i go in from root to tip and make sure everything is completely covered. My scalp gets really dry, so i'm just making sure that that is moisturized as well. One thing i did not show you and i forgot to show you at the beginning: this is my favorite product. I'Ve been using, especially for marley twist and pretty much all my protective styles. It'S the lusters s, curl no drip curl, activator moisturizer. You guys might think. I'M crazy, but i promise you since i've been using this, my hair stays moisturized and i have no breakage at all so right now. What i'm doing is i'm just parting, each section and getting ready to rubber band it all off. One very important step for me is to uh separate my edges from the twist i have noticed in the past. If i don't do this step, then the tension from the twist can pull on my edges and make it really thin. So i go ahead and just pull my edges forward and then rubber band the rest and then lay my edges at the end. You'Ll see how i do that, which i'm not good at at all and yeah. So all i'm doing here is just rubber banding off each section, and this is the hair i used. So as you can see, it's ombre black to gray and at the top within the black there's a little bit of gray. So it matches my hair perfectly, and this is, if i'm not mistaken, 24 inches. So i'm going to do my best to show you how i do this and talk you through it. So i take one section and i take the hair from the top and wrap it around the bottom and just kind of twist it again, i'm not the best at explaining things. So, thank goodness for the visual, but once i have the hair separated the marley hair on one side, my natural hair, on the other. That'S when i separate my natural hair and then just twist it together with the marley hair. I'M going to show you again and it's going to be in slow motion as well. Now the end of this was kind of weird. It was curly and kind of tingly, so i had to use the detangling comb to smooth it out a little. So that way, i can finish twisting it all the way down. This hair was really long, so it took me a long time to get it get each twist done, but that's what the tips of it looks like and i'm going to do it again in slow motion. So i have to twist - and i take the marley hair from the very top of the twist, and this is why i rubber banded. So if there's no confusion, then it's not tangled, so i take the marley hair and place it on the top of the little mini ponytail. I take one side and pull it under the ponytail so again, watch and place it on top of the ponytail. Make sure. There'S no straight hairs place it on top and i take one side and swing it under the rubber band ponytail. As you can see. So i have all the marley hair on one side and my natural hair on the other side, and then i twist the marley hair together. So that way it's tight and secure. Then i take my natural hair and swing it underneath one side of the miley hair and then i part the ponytail and then i just twist it together like a regular two strand twist, and then i just do that all the way down all right - and this Is what we have from the three twists? I just did on that side top to the bottom. I absolutely love this hair and we'll definitely use it again. Now i'm doing the same thing on the other side in slow motion, i'm just gon na be quiet and let you watch - and that is the very last one. So i'm going to pull everything to the front, so you can see it. I would have to say i've been doing marley twist for a long time, and these are my absolute favorites. I'M really glad that i decided to grow out my gray hair and i found this hair to match. I do like a middle part, but i also do like a side part a little bit more and right. Now, i'm just really just playing with it and getting a feel for it they're not too heavy or anything which makes it awesome. I'M standing up to show you how long they are so i am five foot ten and these go past my waist. It has taken me a while to find marley twist hair this long, which i say, marley hair this long um. I do want to do them longer if i can actually find the hair, but i'm really happy with it i'm pleased with it. I wore this style for quite some time now, i'm going to do my edges. I have got this also from the dollar store um, it's not the best edge control, but it's really good for just a dollar. I'M really not that good. At laying my edges, i actually usually have my daughter. Do it for me, but i just wanted to show you the full look pulled all together. If you enjoyed this video.
