Hi everyone welcome back to faith and flower if you're new here my name is robin and in today's video i'm hoping to complete my two year - gray hair transition. It has been almost two years since i last dyed my hair, and not only do i have more gray hair, although less than i thought i would and i'll talk to you a little bit more about that later, but i'm also in the process of getting rid Of the previously dyed hair, and so that's what i'm hoping to accomplish today, i want that to be gone, and i want to be left with my natural color hair, whatever that is, when i get back from my hair cut i'll show you the results and then I'Ll talk to you a little bit more about what this process has been like for me and answer some of your questions from my previous videos and here's. The result i'm really happy with it. My hair feels so healthy. I think we achieved it. I think i have completed my gray transition at last. It'S a two year process, but so worth it. My hair feels super healthy. I just am so happy to have my natural color, the mixture of gray in the front and just lightly distributed throughout. You never know what you're gon na get until you start this process and before we talk anymore, i want to thank function of beauty for sponsoring today's video. They have made my transition so much easier. I have been a huge fan of their purple, shampoo and conditioner. This is a great way to make your transition easier. The purple shampoo not only brightens and lightens gray hair, so i'm going to continue to use it because yellowing from the sun and from heating tools can happen, and this will counteract that. So i'm going to keep on using it, but while i was growing out my hair, it really helped tone down the brassiness of the previously dyed hair and i'm glad that i've made it through function of beauty made that so much easier. I use the purple shampoo and conditioner once a week, so when i'm not using that, i use one of their other formulas. Function of beauty is the best shampoo, it's so great because you can customize it according to whatever your personal hair needs. Are it's easy to take the online quiz, starting with your hair profile? Mine is straight fine and i have normal scalp moisture. Next, select your hair goals. Mine are anti-aging thermal protection, volumize shine and reduce brassiness. Then you can select your fragrance. My favorites are all eucalyptus and i just tried perfection which i am loving. You can even choose the level of fragrance. You prefer and you can have your name printed right on the bottle. I also use their leave-in conditioner. I use this every time i wash my hair. It has made a big difference too. It makes my hair easier to style and so conditioned. It feels super healthy. All function of beauty products are made with clean ingredients, so no parabens sulfates gmos or toxins. They are a hundred percent vegan and cruelty free get twenty percent off your first set when you click on the link in my description box, functional beauty also makes amazing body wash and body lotion that i have been loving. I'Ve been using it every day. The best thing about these is that i suffer with eczema during the winter time and this year i did not have one eczema breakout when i was using these again. These are customizable too. So if you guys are interested in function of beauty, i'm going to have my information down in the description box so make sure you check that out my gray hair journey started over six years ago. I made the decision then to stop dyeing my hair. I made it almost all the way through the transition and then had a change of heart. I went back to coloring my hair and i was happy with the decision at the time and i think that it's perfectly fine to dye your hair. If that's, what makes you happy or stop dyeing it? If that's, what makes you happy? I just think that women ought to be able to feel comfortable with either choice. After a couple of years, i decided to try again my mom was making the transition, and so was my sister, so that definitely gave me a little bit of confidence plus. I thought i knew what to expect from my previous experience this time from the little bit of growth that was coming in it looked like i had even more gray hair than i did previously and, as you can see, in a ponytail, a lot of gray was Revealed because my gray frames my face with each passing month, it looked like more and more gray was revealed and the contrast really was stark to me. So i was anticipating a pretty good amount of gray hair. That proved to me that you just don't know what you're going to get when you start out, because the little bit that you can see in the beginning, it doesn't tell you anything about what the end product will be around 12 months or so of the transition. Everything started to blend a lot more and it was a lot harder to see that line of demarcation. You could definitely see the streaks i have around my face, but the rest was blending really well into my natural hair color. I became very comfortable with the gray hair and i was much more focused on growing out the previously dyed hair and just revealing all of the natural colors in my hair. It'S funny because i spent so many years trying to cover up the gray thinking it was going to make me look older. I am older and i don't mind having my gray hair show, i'm actually looking forward to getting more of it and seeing it come in gradually and naturally over time. Thank you so much for coming along with me on this journey. It has been a lot of fun and, if you haven't seen my previous videos definitely watch the playlist that i'm gon na have down in the description box. So you can see how i started all of this and, as i checked in through the process, what was going on and some of the issues that i dealt with. It'S been a lot of fun. It'S been a great growth experience and i'm super happy with the end result. So if this is something that you have contemplated doing definitely check out those videos, i hope that it gives you the encouragement. You need to give it a try. I hope you enjoyed today's video if you did be sure to give me a thumbs up and if you haven't already checked out my gray hair transition, playlist you'll find that down in the description box, along with my link to function of beauty. Thank you. So much for watching today, i look forward to talking with you in the comments make sure you subscribe. If you haven't already done so and i'll see you in the next video until then have a great week, you

Susan Haven: Love your transition!! I went completely gray 3 years ago and haven’t looked back. I was tired of fighting heredity!! I’ve received SO many compliments I often wonder why I didn’t go gray sooner. But each woman needs to be ready for this phase in her own time. Congratulations Robin!!

Susan Murphy: Love your hair transition...I can’t believe it’s been two years! I remember when you started your transition! ❤️

fran campbell: When I was 55 my hairdresser suggested that I needed to stop doing my hair to cover the gray, so we started the transition by cutting my long, long hair to a shorter version. Eventually, the gray became more and more abundant until finally it was totally gray. I've grown my hair long again and I get compliments all the time on my gray hair. I'm 76 now. You are doing the right thing!

Maren: Your haircut looks adorable! I love it! "Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life." Proverbs 16:31 ❤

sylvia: Your hair is lovely. I never dyed my hair so went grey gradually over the last number of years. I get so many compliments on the colour. Even the younger generation are getting their dyed grey these days. So we are all on trend

Joan Wettlaufer: I love your hair! I started this journey last year during lock down (when hair salons in our area were closed) but like you, I had a change of heart. I started again this January and I can't wait to see what the end result will be!

Farmhouse on the Mountain: I went totally natural (no chemical straightening, no hair dye) about 5 years ago. My grays have definitely increased since having a child, but I always said I would never dye them away. I love these updates. I find it so interesting how everyone's graying pattern is so different. Your hair is going to look stunning when it's 100% gray.

Erika: Congrats on your transition. Looks great! I did same thing as you including trying it once and going back to coloring again. 3 yrs ago did it again and love it and it's the best thing I ever did. I'm loving your channel.

Tanita Hensley: Wow. I cant believe that it's been two years already! Your hair looks great and the cut is super cute on you!

PAMELA GREATHOUSE: Congratulations on your transition to grey hair. I told my hairstylist that when I turned 70yrs old I was going to transition to gray. I started to get a “skunk strip” as our two daughters called it when I was in my fifties. Now I get so many compliments on my hair. The great thing is grey hair is so in style now.!

J RH1234: Your transition to your natural color looks wonderful. I made the transition a few years ago and have absolutely loved my hair since. Your highlights are coming in beautifully!

Tracy Stover: Time goes so quickly! I’ve watched your journey from the beginning & it inspired me to embrace my gray!

Audj943: Love the cut!! It looks so youthful and fresh! And the grey streaks in front and throughout are pretty, natural highlights! It looks great!

missdoogledog: Love this. So many women I know have been growing out their dyed hair and revealing their natural color during these Covid times. I've never dyed my hair, and the grays are coming in heavier these days, similarly in front like Robin's. "You never know what you are going to get." Enjoy the journey.

Kathryn P: I’m 5 months in and it is coming out very silver all over, I really like it. It helps that my family and friends have been very supportive

Cynthia Slebodnik: You gave me the courage to let my hair go natural. After dying my hair for over 30 years I didn't know what to expect. Well in only 3 months my hair has bypassed the greying process and gone to the pure white that my mother had. I still have color on the ends, which I can't wait to get rid of. My family and friends have been supportive. Your hair looks beautiful.

Kimberly Reed: Robin, your hair looks AMAZING! You are truly beautiful and I love your natural color. You inspired me to start my own gray hair transition seven months, and like you, my gray hair frames my face. I haven't minded the process thus far, as my natural color is a bit of a dishwater blonde/light brown. The only problem I'm having is that I wish there was more gray. The rest of my hair seems kind of dull in color...flat. Not depth or streaks like I'm used to from having my hair colored professionally all these years. I just had my hair cut a couple of days ago, and was talking to my stylist about it, and she recommended a few blond streaks around the "halo" area. I decided we would try that on my next appointment. However, after watching your video today, I've decided to stay strong and hold off on this decision until I'm completely through with the growing out process. I just texted my stylist to change my next appointment to a "cut only". So, thank you Robin! You've blazed the trail for me and I'm so grateful for your willingness to share your journey with us. I may need to come back to these videos as a source of encouragement as I continue on in my own gray hair transition.

bri lor: Congratulations! :) You looked so happy after the hair cut, literally beaming and with good reasons! Your natural colour is beautiful and the contrast between the white/grey is lovely and harmonious. Gorgeous and very healthy looking! I haven't dyed my hair for almost 8 months now, so my mostly white roots are very visible and the rest is blond. I like my white hair but also still like the blond so much, and recently I have been thinking of dying my roots again... a weekly dilemma... What was stopping me is all the chemicals in the dye products. You may have just saved me from doing it tonight :) And I wish I could find your hair products in Europe, especially the purple shampoo since you said it is great and not too chemical.

Jennifer Cruz: I love it! I actually just got my hair done yesterday. It's a balayage from my natural hair color to a blond. I had it all black before so my transition is going to also be gradual because I'm going for more of a platinum blond for the ends. I have some greys coming in at the roots but I had her cover those up lol for now....

bev jo: I’m a little over a year into my gray transition. I’ve been wanting to do it for awhile, and COVID pushed me right into it! My hair feels so healthy! When I go get my next cut, I’m pretty sure I will be left with my natural color. I don’t have as much as I thought I would! Mine too is mostly around my face. I’m ready to embrace my gray!

Melissa Kelley: I’m on the same road. I have very dark brunette hair with swatches of silver dispersed throughout especially around my face. My biggest fear was looking older but I’m coming to terms with it. I think it’s more about healthy hair and the right cut and style. You look bright and young and the style suits you perfectly. Great job my friend on a remarkable journey. Blessings, Melissa

Deborah: I am 14 months into growing out naturally. I've done this before, and after a couple years decided to add a few highlights...and then there was no turning back. I will be happy when the old dye is gone. I no longer want to visit the hairdresser every 4-5 weeks, not to mention the savings! Your hair looks great. Thanks for the encouragement.

BONBON SEWS: It took 2 years for my hair to grow out my grey as well. I am very happy with the results. My hair is much healthier, no roots and I like how it looks.

Shannon Torrens: Your hair looks amazing that is such a great cut on you.

Kim: Wow! Has it really been two years? You inspired me to do the same. It didn’t take me as long since I have short hair and I was just highlighting, not coloring. I’m so glad I made the change. I think I was definitely ready for it this time. I tried it several years ago and ended up highlighting again. I don’t think I’ll be going back this time.

Organized With Joy: It looks beautiful! I am not quite ready to make that transition, but I know there will be a point in life when I decide to do that! Thanks for sharing!

Sharon Kershaw: Fair play to you for showing this transition on YouTube. Over lockdown I had no choice but to go with it. I have since been back to the hairdresser and had my usual colour. I am definitely not ready for this yet. I will think of you when I am ready though ❤️

Platinum Branch: Simply beautiful!! Thanks for sharing your story with us.

Jan Jentz: Hi Robin. You and your hair look wonderful! I quit coloring my hair 11 years ago when I retired. I always thought coloring it was kind of a nuisance. I worked with a younger crowd and thought I needed to do it. How freeing it was to finally not bother coloring it anymore. My gray hair frames my face too; with grays sprinkled around the rest. I actually think it looks better; as the home hair color always left my brown hair brassy looking. So we will both embrace and celebrate our grays!!!

Maggy Trafford: Hi Robin, your hair looks absolutely beautiful I love it shorter as well and yes it does look very healthy. Thank you for sharing❤️

Monique Lacroix: Hi Robin! Glad to see you back! Hope you had a wonderful family time! Congratulations for the gray hair transition process now finished! You reached your goal! You look beautiful with your natural hair color that “includes” a little gray :) And this haircut suits you so well! Thanks for sharing your process, because I know that you inspired many! I’m 64, and my hair still has its natural dark brown color with some gray scattered throughout. What I’m most struggling with is the dryness of my hair and the fact that they are now slightly curly (they used to be straight) with the frizz that goes with it! Have a blessed day, Robin!

Skywatcher Sandra: I really like your haircut. The 2 year transition seems well worth it. I personally switched to Goat milk products for having no parabens or sulfates etc. I appreciate your time and sharing your journey with us. HUGS and GOD bless us everyone

Helen West: Love it! There are more and more women embracing their natural hair colour. Welcome to the Silver Sisters Club

StephMH: After contemplating growing out my gray for a couple of years, I finally started about three months ago. (I wish I’d started at the beginning of Covid lockdown when I couldn’t get to my hairdresser) I’m surprised that I don’t appear to have as much gray as I thought I did, but it will be interesting seeing what’s actually there after it grows out a couple of years. Thank you for the inspiration Robin!

skye sage: Beautiful! My mom has been on the gray hair transition.

Cheryl Ann Johnson: You look so pretty...great job, Robin! It was too hard for me...I went back to blonde highlights. I am happy with my choice for now. Who knows what the future holds. You look fabulous!

Liane Lindsey: Looking good! I’m going through the same thing Just glad I don’t have to dye it anymore!

Chantelle: Love it! Looks amazing!

Forbidden Chocolate: Your hair looks lovely! I'm almost a year into my transition and I don't miss coloring my hair at all. My hair is quite dark, like your sister's, so it was quite obvious in the beginning. I'm glad I held out because it looks a lot better now. Would your sister mind if you share a few pictures of how her gray looks? Thank you for inspiring and encouraging me along this journey!

Dee Gibson: Good for you! I found hours of time once I decided to let mine go natural. Lovely cut.

Janice Bone: Well done Robin, it looks amazing! I cant believe its 2 years... xxx

Linda LeClair: I transitioned to gray five years ago, and the thought I would have more than I do. I hope I get a full head of gray!

Lana Miller: Robin, your hair looks beautiful! I started getting some gray at age 38. I am 46 now. I do dye my hair and am happy. One day I want to transition to gray. God Bless.

Teresa Moore: ❤️❤️❤️ I am 49 years old and have never dyed my hair Your hair looks lovely. ❤️❤️❤️

Beatrice Whitcombe: Oh, it looks so beautiful!! So fresh and elegant

Ghostwriter: I love your haircut. It looks beautiful. To transition, I cut my hair short and I love it. I have lots of silver and I am 47. My hairdresser is always trying to colour it, but I keep refusing. I like being natural.

Rebecca WifeOf1MotherOf4: I commend you for do this, it takes courage to naturally go gray. I am almost 42 years old and I have 5 or 6 that I can see. I have never colored my hair, and to be honest I don't think I ever want to. When women like you choose to go natural it gives me the confidence to do the same. Thank you for sharing your journey. You look great!

T G: Your hair is just beautiful! I love the shorter style on you.

Google User: Wow! You look terrific! Great video, it was pretty cool to see the transition. Thanks for sharing.

MimiStans: I am transitioning right now. I have no problem going gray at all. My oldest daughter has a bigger issue with me going gray than I do. ‍♀️

Alyson Wallace: You look great. I don't know if I will ever quit coloring my hair. I have never liked my natural color and I enjoy being blonde.

C: Good for you, I know I would never do that, I’m grateful hair color is available to help me look and feel younger! (Hair color also adds body to my thin hair and I wouldn’t want to lose that benefit).

Jennifer Klotzer: Lovely! I transitioned because I hated going to the salon. I would have be.en done a year ago but Covid hit so I still have about an inch of old dye at the bottom. I haven't had a hair cut since 11/19 because of the pandemic. I have wavy/curly hair and it's looking like a lion's mane, I may have to suck it up and get it cut just to make it more manageable.

Sheila Loy: I had to stop your video right after you came back from your haircut just to say your hair looks fantastic!

Carol Rodenbeck: I am 7 months into my silver crown grow out and couldn't be happier with my decision. I had wanted to ditch the dye about 2 years before but decided to wait until I could retire from working after 45 years. I have saved so much money not getting it colored every 5 weeks. Looking forward to the dye being gone but know it will be at least another 18 months but I'm in it for the long haul. Robin, you look beautiful with your natural hair. Thanks for the video!

Joy Page Manuel: You're beautiful, love that more ppl are embracing their (our) grays. ♥️

Michelle Jeffrey: Your hair looks lovely Robin. Interestingly, people that have taken the heavy metal detox - TRS zeolite have had their grey hair grow back to their natural colour. I take TRS and have a few grey hairs so I wait with anticipation.

Ann Etherington: Hello Robin I have stopped dyeing my hair and it’s grey all over except the bottom at the back of my hair along time ago my hairdresser who is a young lady said to me I love the colour of your hair and the freedom it gives you is amazing love Annie uk ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Tippytoe: I’m 14 months dye free. I can’t wait until I’m fully transition.

Jeanie H: Your hair looks beautiful. We have similar hair...fine. I just haven’t bitten the bullet to do it. However...the savings for going to the salon every 6 weeks would be huge!

Vee McG: Your hair is lovely Robin. I'm going to check out those products because I have eczema all year round and it often makes me feel miserable. I'm going through the process of changing my hair too as it is impossible to get a hair appointment here in Northern Ireland as we are still in strict lockdown and I have been shielding for a year. I have already cut my long hair very short...yes, by myself! I haven't had colour in it for a year so am well on my way to embracing whatever is natural for me. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and I look forward to more of your videos. God bless.v

Maggie: Very chic! My "Sparkles" are getting more prolific and I really love the look in the sun.

SS Knerr: I just turned 61...I stopped coloring my hair when I was 30. I just didn't care to spend the time trying to color all the grey, especially since I was all grey by 35. I've received compliments on my hairs for the last few decades and am lucky that, according to my hairstylist, I have "really beautiful" grey. I've even had women what color I use to get my grey hair, lol. When I finally accepted the grey hair it became very liberating and I am thrilled to see more and more women do the same Your hair look wonderful and I am happy to have you in the "go grey" club!!

Donna Campbell: Hi Robin - I missed you last week. I was hoping you had going camping or something fun. I like your hair. So pretty. Not much gray. Melissa, my youngest daughter has much more gray. She is 53. She went gray about the same time you did. Rebecca, my oldest and I are still coloring our hair. Even Rachel, granddaughter has recently colored her hair just for a change. Her natural hair color is so pretty but I understand her wanting something different for a while. Also her hair was very long but she also got it cut super short and it is so stylish and pretty on her.. Thanks for this video because I know I will be transitioning to gray at some point. Love in Christ.

Joy Sedgwick: I started with you then gave in.....I am now a full year in and sticking with it this time. Your hair colour is softer and suits you well in my opinion.

Jola: Hi Robin, I’m new to the channel but I arleady love it :) you give me so much inspiration with homemaking. I love your natural hair colour and I think this is something I could do as well, my hair need a rest . May I ask you how old you are ? Please do not feel obliged to answer if you do not wish to do so :) have a great day !

Inspired by Nikki: Your hair color and style looks beautiful Robin!

Diane Johnson: You have the most beautiful hair! I love how you style it!

Jean Woodall: I only dyed my hair once when I was in my twenties. Now I'm in my early forties. It was the enhance the brown tones kind as most people mistake my hair as being black. It doesn't match anything black (always looks warmer) and wearing black tops make me looked washed out and sickly. I don't look like that in other more complimentary colors. No one noticed until my roots started showing. It's actually a very dark shade of dark brown with reddish highlights. My grey hairs have been coming in gradually. I don't have a big area of it anywhere. It's blended into all my hair. I actually like them because they shine even when the rest of my hair doesn't. At times it also curlier than my brown ones.

L D: Thank you so much for sharing love it

Lucretia Lathrop: I have been doing the same, I have not cut my hair in a year. My gray has been coming in around my face and through out. I have not dyed my hair for 2 years and i love the color. Gray and as i say dirty dish water blonde, LOL

Sara Bowen: Beautiful!

deborah vaughn: Beautiful!!

Jennifer Gentry: Your new haircut is darling! Really brings out your beautiful eyes!

SR: Wow! So beautiful! You do not have a whole of gray at all. It's beautiful!

Marcia Innocent: Love the new look!

Paula Davis: Looks great!

Christine Welch: If you remember, when I found your channel last year, you were getting rid of gray and I was getting rid of a perm. I’m going to wait another couple of months and then I will be able to have the last of the perm and layers out. I’m going to get it cut all one length. Yippee!

veggied4life: So pretty!!

Els Wester: My hair is grey too; I stopped colouring on my 50 birthday. I also think the natural colour suits one complexion much better.

Etta Margason: Your hair is beautiful!!!

Jude Becker: Love the color!

Carolyn Eastman: Your hair looks lovely.....

Amy S.: Pretty hair

Eleftheria Tagouli: You look marvelous Robin!!May God bless you and your family!! Today Greece commemorates 200 years of liberation(1821-2021)against the Turks.A liberation movement that inspired the world and still leads democracy today!! Many free happy returns to all Greeks and those who feel Greeks!!

Jennifer Janes: It looks great. It looks like it will be mix of dark gray and white.

Kristyn Lorraine Hall: I look much grayer in a ponytail, too ‍♀️

Claire Titus: Looks very nice

Helen Green: Your hair is beautiful Robin

Mary Sketch: Wow a lot of your hair is brown. I'm wondering if mine will look like that, because some of it, except on the sides, is not as grey as I thought it would be. I would be happy if it looked like yours.

Junea Snider: You are gorgeous gray hair or not, but I too want to do that. I am not sure how much gray I have though. lol

Joetha Czarnecki: Please please explain the reason for this? Why do you not want colored hair or to cover the gray?

cyril roux: It's cute Grey hairs

Joetha Czarnecki: Going gray unless your ready for the nursing home seems very lazy. Don’t be mad my opinion and it’s just a part of our society not wanting to dress appropriately, wear pajamas and slippers in public, not do make up and now let’s go Gray because.....

Linda Headrick: What is ur age. I,,'m 73 just beginning mine but also my hai is it dyed color and I dont think I want be totally grey either but I feel this is God leading me to

Kay Wallace: I like the shorter haircut.

Evelyn Furtuna: ❤️

Sandra Pedroso: Bom dia linda

shayesteh: بانوی عزیزم قبلا موهاتونو رنگ میکردین خیلی شاداب تر بودین اما حالا خیلی شکسته به نظر میاین...خیلی دوستون دارم

C S99: I really love your content but I struggle to get past the constant selling. I unsubscribe and then come back excited for the transition video only to be disappointed again with what is basically another long commercial.
