Hi everyone welcome back to faith and flower if you're new here my name is robin - and this is my sister chris and please pardon the leaf blower. In the background we are sitting outside at my parents house today. This is in north carolina. You guys know i'm from texas, but my family, including my sister and her kids, live here in north carolina, so we have enjoyed time together this thanksgiving and if you've watched my gray hair transition videos, you have seen my sister's picture. She has been doing this gray. Hair transition a little bit longer than i have. She stopped dyeing her hair two years ago on february 1st, so she is nearing the end and i'd say she's probably about there, but i thought you might be interested in hearing a little bit more about her transition before we get into that. I want to thank function of beauty for sponsoring today's video, you guys know how much i love their products and i'm going to tell you a little bit more about them and then we're going to get into today's video. I have been using function of beauty exclusively for over eight months and it has made my transition to gray hair easier, because my hair has never been healthier. They offer hair care and now body care that is customizable and delivered straight to your door. They never use parabens sulfates gmos or toxins, and they are a hundred percent vegan and cruelty free. Take the two minute online quiz to choose your hair type, hair goals and personal preferences. My hair is straight fine and normal, and i selected anti-aging thermal protection, volumize shine and reduce brassiness. As my hair goals, your fragrance is customizable too. I have tried several and love each one. My favorites are all eucalyptus, which is 100 natural and milkshake, which is the perfect combination of vanilla and shea butter. You can even choose your fragrant strength and choose the name. You want printed on the bottle. Your box will come with stickers for customizing your bottle and a card containing everything you need to know about your personalized hair care. Once a week. I love to use their purple shampoo for reducing brassiness and brightening my silver strands. It'S the best purple shampoo. I have ever used and the rest of the week i use a formula without it's my secret for healthy, shiny, soft and manageable hair. The thermal protection that i've included in my formula has really kept my hair looking great, despite all of the heating tools that i like to use when styling my hair, i have also been using the custom leave-in treatment, this lightweight conditioning cream, smooths hydrates, and protects my Hair, while using all of my favorite styling tools, i selected the new fragrance, isn't she bubbly, which is a champagne and citrus scent? It smells like sparkling champagne with hints of sweet, orange, peel and grapefruit oil, which i'm loving for the holiday season. The custom body wash and lotion have been a lifesaver. My skin is so dry during the winter months and i suffer from itchy eczema because i can customize them to my skin's moisture level. My skin has been perfectly hydrated, soft and comfortable. I have been recommending these products for months now, so if you haven't already go check out my link below so that you can get 20 off your first set. So chris tell us why you decided to stop dyeing your hair and when okay, so almost two years ago, my gray hair was growing in what i thought was was quickly and noticeably uh so that i would realistically really needed to have my hair colored. Every six weeks to hide the roots coming in. However, there were a couple of reasons why i, ultimately, you know, made the leap to let's grow out. First reason is probably financially i didn't want to have to go to the salon every six weeks and or i did buy a coloring powder that i could brush on when i felt like i, you know really wanted to hide that inch or so. That was to me quite obvious right and then also i have been on a medicine for several years. That does have a side effect of some slow thinning of the hair, and i have really dry hair. So those two in combination i felt was just were damaging to my hair and i had some discussions with my hairdresser. So ultimately, i just decided to take the plunge and grow it out yeah. Well, i think a lot of women would definitely agree with you on a lot of those points like the financial aspect, because and time right i mean it takes a lot of time. Yes and i'm a single mom. I work full time and and over the past two and a half years, i've been in grad school as well, which took up a lot of my time. So that was definitely a good time for me to do that as well yeah. I think that a lot of women are on the same page with you on that and then the second question i wanted to ask you is: what did you think about it in the beginning? Was it really difficult? I mean, were you super unhappy while you were transitioning, i wasn't unhappy. I had some moments of when i was self-conscious, but then that's probably when i did you know until it got to be probably for that first inch and a half where i felt like i had that gray line an inch and a half below my part. You know i could brush on that color if i really felt like i wanted to, because the rest of my hair, of course was still colored um, but once it got to probably more than an inch and a half you know i couldn't do that right anymore. I think for a while, i probably put it back in a ponytail. My hair was a little bit longer. Sometimes i could put it in a ponytail. I could wear a headband or put it back in a clip right which did mask it a little bit yeah. I know a lot of women are really really self-conscious about that. But how long do you think that the worst of it lasts for me really thinking about it was probably six to eight months? Okay, so it's just kind of that. I know i felt that way too. As you guys know, i started not dying my hair at one point and pretty much made it almost through the transition and then, for whatever reason, decided to start again and both times. I felt like yeah after that sort of six month eight month mark. It starts to blend a lot more and it's just not as obvious, but did you notice that a lot of other women were doing this or was it something that seemed more acceptable than maybe a few years? Definitely i mean i work in the early childhood field. I do work around more women and i have a couple of colleagues at work that were ahead of me in the process and really i felt two years ago i was noticing even some younger girls, like late 20s, like where you know that gray silver people were Even coloring their hair that gray lavender type of color yeah, it was a bit fattish, so that perhaps made it a little bit yeah easier. I think a lot of women have decided to go ahead and do it, because now it's more trendy right to have great and even yeah, i also um an avid pinterest user right and um. You know viewed some transitions and pictures. You know yeah with. Ladies on that and some which told their stories where they were prematurely gray, yeah, even in their late 20s early 30s, and they were doing it - i was in my you know, mid to late 40s when i started well. I also have noticed some models more and more like in the past five years, i'd say or so: women in their 50s, 60s and 70s, and there are oftentimes, have gray hair. I think it's just becoming like a more normal acceptable. You know trend for women right, and i think when i did it, i did tell robin over the phone and around that time our mom who's in her at the time was in her mid 70s has also been coloring, her hair for a long while, although she Did gray much later in life than i did yeah and she has a darker charcoal and was having her hair highlighted, and i said hey: why don't you go gray with me and talk to robin and she got on the bandwagon yeah? Well, it definitely helps to have support right because we could check in with each other and when we get frustrated with it, it helps to have somebody to encourage you a little bit. You know because definitely definitely, i think we all have those tempting moments where you know we think oh or just go back to dyeing it, because it seems easier right yeah. For me, the number one priority was probably the health of my hair. I was you know, seeing that improve and then financially you know it was much better on my wallet right. Those were the two and so what do you think now, your hair um health-wise? How do you feel that it's different than it was while you were dyeing it? I'Ve got, you know some baby hairs. You know growing back and just i feel like it's just a little bit thicker. My hair was just extremely extremely dry and every time after getting it colored, i felt it more. Sometimes it just almost felt like straw and it was harder to style um, and you know, after washing my hair and combing it. I would feel like a little bit. Maybe too much was coming out right yeah. I think i've noticed that too yeah that i have less sort of shedding than i used to have yeah for sure. So chris did you feel that there was any major challenges to it like what were some of the biggest sort of hang-ups that you had, maybe something that kept you from starting that process earlier than you did or that you felt while you were going through it. I am a single mom and i work with a lot of women in the early childhood field, and so you know, as far as my day job i was not necessarily concerned about people noticing the transition and when my hair was a longer often times to work When i was visiting child care centers, i would have it in a ponytail anyway um and it would hide you know a good portion of my you know my part where you could see that the hairline growing in i struggled a little bit, probably that first six Months with a little bit of my, you know the security of what other people think and i guess, because i'm a single mom um, you know i'm not in a relationship um. You know from time to time wondering um had him in my age. You know what do they think of a woman in her late 40s. You know with gray hair, but but ultimately i made the decision for me and what's best for the health of my hair, what's best for my wallet once i got started, you know like i said once i got past that six month mark there was no going Back so i just became more confident and others. Um encouraged and cheered me on yeah. It was nice yeah. I mean we said that before, but just having you and mom, you know there to kind of offer, support and stuff. Since we were doing it together was really helpful and i know for me it was a challenge, just you know, being on camera. A lot kind of you know seeing it up close more than maybe i would otherwise and that you know sometimes would discourage me. But i think for me doing this gray, hair transition was very therapeutic because i got so much support from a lot of you and met so many of you that are doing it as well. So that was really the reason to start all of this and just talk about it and hopefully like normalize this for everybody and so that, if it's something that you're thinking about, you will know that lots of others are doing it too. That you're not just out there on your own, but also just to say, like you know, i mentioned earlier, that i had gone through the process once before and just for whatever reason wasn't ready. So you know we don't judge people that dye their hair. If that's something that you want to do, and certainly a lot of women, our age will probably continue to do that, and i think it's just a very personal decision, but what i love about it is that now it's just much more acceptable to make whatever choice You like, and it's just very much more, you know acceptable now, so i am so glad that you were able to do this with me today. I know that a lot of the women on my channel have left really nice comments to say that their hair is like yours, and so they really enjoy seeing what you're going through and um. And i imagine when you guys looking at the camera, you can see that at least to my eye i look like i have more gray than my sister. She has more of that dirty blonde hair and i have the darker hair. So obviously it shows more her hair is definitely i'd, say much more evenly distributed and she has like a few different what i would say like colors of gray in her hair. I know our hairdresser was telling me about the different colors of gray, and so she's got sort of that steel gray mixed in with a more brighter whiter gray, and then you know she still has some of her original hair color mixed in too. So it's like a really nice contrast and then, of course, mine is just very odd in my opinion, but i'm kind of liking it it's um. No, it's not you just you. She has a streak right here which is attractive and then, if you look at her hair in the back, you almost don't even notice it yeah it's not very evenly distributed. It'S like much more concentrated around my face, which is sort of how my hair was when i was growing up like i had a lot of blonde around my face and all that is what's turned gray, but also i i want to ask you this question. I know when i started um and you can see that just a little bit of roots at the top um i felt like i had so much more gray hair than i wound up having and um yeah it is deceiving yeah. So i think that's why that first few months, seeing that contrast when you get to about anywhere from a quarter inch to a half an inch it feels like. Oh, my goodness, my hair is going to be completely white or you know very, very a lot. More gray than what i had you know once it starts to do that blend thing. It'S just not as noticeable anymore. I know i've said it in videos before, but you just don't know what kind of gray hair you're going to have until you grow it out. It'S just it's never obvious, and i talk to a lot of women who are very concerned about that. So just a little encouragement on that so nice to be with you guys today, yeah it was fun to do this i've. Never always we were laughing because i've never done something sort of interview style like this, but i thought it would just be really neat for you guys to meet her, and you know to hear a little bit about her personal experience and we just want to thank You so much for spending your time with us today and make sure you check out my links in the description box for function of beauty. I'Ve really enjoyed their hair care products and i'm so happy that they are supporting my channel faith and flower. So if you are interested, definitely check those out, thank you so much for spending your time with us here today. We look forward to hearing from you in the comments and i'll see you in the next video have a great week bye. You

Jody Nuttall: I'm 60 and did the transition about 3 years ago. I resisted for a long time because I really thought I'd look drab and old. But it turns out that my natural color is really quite nice. Lots of highlights and low lights. Even my hairdresser was surprised. Another factor not mentioned so far is the chemical load from monthly coloring. It has to be better for our bodies not to be using chemical dyes on our heads.

Carol Rodenbeck: I dyed /had my hair dyed professionally for 4 decades with the last time being 8.21.20. I am going natural now and growing out my gray. I feel set free financially and of my time. I never enjoyed going to the salon and sitting there letting it process, etc. My husband fully supports me and has gorgeous white/gray hair and has since his 40's. We are in our mid to late 60's now and since I am retired it was the perfect time to do this. Gray, gray, all the way!!!

Jennifer Rogers: I’m all natural now...and receive many compliments on how my God given colour has come in! You are both beautiful!

Countrylover500 Countrylover500: I started letting mine grow out in March and am still at that transition stage, but I think I’m liking it. Thank you for doing this video it really helps to hear other women talking about this. One thing I have noticed is how much better the condition is - it actually looks shiny now!

Allie Bennett: I stopped dying my hair over 4 years ago. It’s snow white and I get tons of compliments. It was amazing to give up the hair coloring all the time. Your sisters hair is lovely!

CHERYL SILVERTHORNE: I quit years ago and I love my hair. I'm 60 and proud and my husband says whatever I want is ok with him. I choose going grey!!! Power to all grey haired women. It is a crown of glory

Mary Valiquette: Thank you for this video. You both look lovely as gray appears in your hair! I know the feeling of doubt creeps in as you begin the journey. The Pandemic forced me to avoid salons but now I’m liking it! It is good to support one another as we join together on this naturally gray journey!

Amie Rikke: You guys look great! This was very encouraging. I’m trying to get through this by pulling my hair back and I usually put it in a bun, most of the colored hair can be tucked in. I’m 10 months in, and I’m going from red to grey/white with some red streaks and black. I was strawberry blond in my 20’s, with lots of strands with different hues. I started dying in my 30’s when I saw my hair darken. I’m 58, so I’ve been coloring along time! I just could not keep up with the coloring. The roots looked awful, and I felt the red color looked aging on me, and the dye wasn’t holding on the white strands well. I have thick course curly hair, and coloring was so damaging and making my hair fall out. I’m going to keep growing it out. I feel like I’m on the tipping point now. If I can get to a year, I’ll be ok.

Diana Prince: Thank you to you two lovely ladies for sharing your stories. I’ve been debating going natural but have yet made the leap. I am using Function of Beauty (thank you for introducing me to this brand), it has made a huge difference in my hair health. Blessings to you both.

Monique Lacroix: It was lovely to see you and your sister interact with each other. I could see the love you have for one another, and it was heartwarming! And you both look beautiful just the way you are! To me, embracing our gray hair means, on a deeper level, embracing the stage of life we are in, recognizing what is truly, thus being free! But this is in no way a judgment on those who choose to dye their hair; many of my friends do, and it’s ok! I have dark brown hair, almost black, and the gray hair is evenly distributed all over: salt and pepper, with still a little more pepper for now!!!! I never felt the need to color them, and I think I will continue this way. Thanks for another great video, Robin, and please thank your sister! I was nice seeing and hearing her!

Emm Doubleyou: This was nice, you both look lovely. I’m slowly seeing the first grey hairs coming through and hope that I’ll be lucky enough to have the same kind of grey transition as my mum and sister, who both have lovely highlight-y looking grey hair. Thanks Robin, I really love your videos!

Angela: I love how you avoided saying "shades of gray" Thanks for taking extra measures to stay pure and wholesome.

Adie: Robin, thank you and your sister for this post. I had stopped dying my hair in February 2020 due to the pandemic. I’m going to continue with this process, which should take another year. Coincidentally, my hair type & length are just like the two of yours! So, this post and other mentions of this transition, have been an inspiration to me. Thanks, ‍♀️Adie

bri lor: You have a lovely sister and this video was very refreshing, thank you! You both look wonderful :) Grey/ white hair is beautiful, chic and very becoming as it usually enhances the eye colour and softens a face in a very pretty way. Also it is a sign of confidence and that is beautiful too!

Bea M: Both of you are gorgeous. I love the natural hair! <3

Melissa Kelley: I’m 56 years old and growing up I equated gray hair with old ladies. When I started graying in my 40’s I couldn’t get to the salon fast enough to get it covered up. Now I’m naturally heavy gray salt and pepper (dark brunette) and I love it. You two look so much alike. Melissa

Connie Stanton: Thanks for sharing. I can relate to the health reasons which were my major reason for growing my greys out during lockdown this year. I made it to the 8 month mark and as my hair was healthier and thickening up again, I listened to my dermatologist who said dye doesn’t cause hair loss and figured I wouldn’t lose anything by switching to a semi permanent as a compromise. Unfortunately it hasn’t rinsed out like I thought it would and feel I’m back to square one with growing out again What’s worse is the shedding has gotten bad again so even some “natural” semis have bad chemicals

Jennifer Gentry: This video was lovely. Your sister is just as sweet as you and her hair looks beautiful as does yours, Robin.❤️

Linda LeClair: Five years ago, I stopped dying my hair. I'm 65 and still don't have a great deal of gray, and I am looking forward to having it all gray! I also use Function of Beauty and LOVE the products.

Donna Campbell: Hi Robin, I so enjoyed seeing you and your sister. You remind me of my two girls. I’ve told you before that my youngest daughter Melissa, who is 52, has let her hair go gray A few years ago. She has a dark blonde natural color so the gray fits in nicely and she hasn’t had any problem transitioning. Her issue was time. She has a very high powered and stressful job and it just stressed her out more to have to go sit a couple hours in a hair salon frequently. My oldest daughter, Rebecca, who is 54 is still dying her hair. She can’t pull the trigger on going gray. Her hair is darker and it would be very much more noticeable than Melissa’s. I have hardly any gray even at my age. I take after my mother that way. I do get highlights and low lights put in my hair just for the body. I have extremely fine hair. So happy to see you today Robin and have missed you. You add so much to my life especially in this time of Covid. Be careful and look forward to seeing your next video. Love in Christ.

Gayle Nazarian: I quit coloring my hair over 15 years ago, 63 now. My hair is more like yours Robin, more gray around my temples. I love my gray hair and I am proud of it. I don’t understand why so many women color their hair. The video with you and your sister was very nice. Thanks, glad you had sister time.

Amandazplace: Thank you, for the update, ladies! You are both so beautiful. Amazing when we ditch the dye, what gorgeous colors & shades are revealed. I love my grey hair. It looks very much like your sister's. So happy to be done with the hair dye.

J RH1234: I let my natural highlights glow three years ago. My transition took about a year because I cut my hair short and then once it was all grown out, started growing it longer again. I have never regretted going natural. I think I actually look younger this way, instead of having the telltale coloring line in a few weeks. My hair is so much healthier. You both look lovely. Keep going!

Sensible Vintage: You and your sister look so lovely with your silver shining through. Such beautiful ladies! I stopped dying my hair about two years ago. (I’m 52) I went about the process differently than most women do. I chopped my hair off into a pixie cut and lived with that for about a year. And then when I felt ready, I stopped dying it. I knew for myself that living with the line of demarcation was going to be too difficult. I am now in the process of growing out my pixie cut. And let me tell you it is not for the faint of heart, LOL. But I am excited to see what I have as far as gray hair. With it very short it looks like I have a lot. But I do have my natural color in the back so I’m wondering when it is longer if more of my natural color will come through. I am so happy that allowing my silver to shine through has become more culturally acceptable. I will say that when all the salons were shut down during Covid I was very glad that I was through my transition and wasn’t having to worry about my roots and how to cover them. It did take some getting used to though because people used to think I was almost 10 years younger than I actually am and now I feel I look more my age. Every now and again I will doubt my decision. However I love the authenticity of excepting myself and embracing the age that I am. And as you stated, Robin, my hair has never been healthier.

Cheryl Ann Johnson: I stopped coloring my hair several months ago, when I saw you Robin. Very inspiring! I’m in my early 70’s and started graying in my 60’s. Thank you for your inspiration! Love seeing you, your mom, and sister...all beautiful women, becoming more confident. I think I can do this...my hair is like your Robin...no one has even noticed that I’m not coloring. I’m keeping it to myself, since the last time ( I tried this once before, too) my husband and daughters were very upset that I was letting myself go gray. They have always known me to be a highlighted blonde. It’s hard not to tell them, but evidently they haven’t even noticed after about 4-5 months. Merry Christmas!

Judy B: I think the gray color is beautiful. I'm not dying my hair anymore and I think the gray color complements my cool skin tone very well, I'm loving it. Love your videos!!❤

Rebecca Harper: I have really appreciated your videos about this transitioning to gray hair. It’s been kind of a big deal for me. I have always colored my hair and during this past year of pandemic I haven’t felt as comfortable to go spend money and to risk exposure to Covid in the salon. It has been about six months since I colored it and I am still on the fence as to whether I will color it next time or not. U2 ladies are beautiful and definitely encourage me in this direction. Have a great day!

Anna Izak: I’m still afraid to switch to grey hair. But in my case it will be easier because I keep my hair short. I think she looks amazing, her glasses and grey hair is a perfect match.

Holly Merchant: Ladies, I for one am someone who is very pleased that you put your overall health first.. It was lovely to meet your sister, thank-you!

Cindy Pye: You both are attractive ladies. I chose not to start coloring my hair for several reasons. The budget was one, but I also know myself enough to know that it isn't something I would keep up consistently, and I didn't want to feel "bound" to keep it up. I also felt I "earned" my silver hair, so I deserve to wear them if I want to. :-)

Mel Rose: You’re stunning man your genes are WILD. I’ve been fascinated with grey hair since I was a child. I’ve always thought it was the most beautiful hair color. I was SO excited when I saw it becoming a trend, especially for ages roughly 18-25. I’ll bet it gave silver foxes, both genders, an ego boost! Last thing: My hair has been long my entire life. And I was never one to color it because I like my natural color which fluctuates from a dark mocha to an milk chocolate auburn color with random bits of COPPER! (Plus with it being so long, getting it colored is PRICEY!) So one day in middle school, I randomly decided to get a strip, one single strip lol, an inch in width, at the nape of my neck (about 2 inches to the right, from the middle) that could only really be seen when my hair was either up, or in a braid. I loved it so much that I’ve continued to do so to this day, at age 27. My colored hair strip even became a fad in both in middle school and high school but the color I picked for it 90% of the time? GREY! Hehehe

Madison Angulo: That was fun! Thanks! I am going on 8 months! My hair is also more silver along my temples!

Freddie Stark: Thank you so much for interviewing your lovely sister. I have been on this journey of grey hair for three years with the help of my hairdresser. I now have silver hair/white in front and in back silver/ original color. I get lots of compliments which in the beginning surprised me. For me, it is easier all around in caring for my hair. Your mention of these products is so timely! Great subject matter!!!

Lisa Stewart: Thank you for this video! I'm 45, have never dyed my hair but have started to grey over the last 5 years. I was VERY self conscious about it and plucked on a regular basis and was all set to start coloring. After my divorce I've decided embrace this change and I am so glad I made this choice. Financial and hair health were huge factors and I just want to be and look like who I'm supposed to be! Thank you ladies!

Nora Mercado: I've been gray haired for 5 years and I love it, as well as my husband.

Christina Brode: I used the temporary wash out coloring - and then just stopped. I get a lot more compliments on my hair now than I ever did before!

Cynthia Slebodnik: Listening to you both has given me confidence to go grey. My husband has said that I should go for it since my hair has thinned drastically. I am 63 years old, dying my hair for almost 30 years, so it's been a long process of hiding grey and maybe by now white. My mother turned grey at an early age, so it's genetic.

Pat Martin: I too dyed my hair for years and years but 5 years ago I decided to let the colour grow out, I struggled with the grey roots but decided to just tell everyone what I was doing so that I didn’t feel people would judge me for not colouring my roots. I did end up having my hair cut shorter to speed up the process but have since decided to let it grow longer. My hair has never been in better condition and also it has saved me £100’s on hair dresser costs. I am now totally grey and very pleased with the transformation.

T G: I always enjoy hearing about your grey transition. You both look beautiful and so confident.

Cynthia Slebodnik: How is your grey hair growth doing. You have mentioned it lately (I'm writing this in Aug. 2021). I began growing out my colored hair at the beginning of the year and it is now almost totally white. I'm so glad I did, at your encouragement. Have received many compliments.

Jennifer Cruz: I'm not quite there yet but once I get to the point where I will have to dye my hair once a month, I'll definitely let it grow out. My only issue is what style haircut to get as I get older. ‍♀️

Diane Johnson: This was a great topic! My gray hair is so fine!

Christine Welch: I stopped highlighting my hair over 5 years ago. It was hard at first but I’m okay with it now. Then I started perming my hair. Tomorrow’s haircut will get rid of the last of my perm. I now have a chin length layered bob and I love it. Glad to be rid of highlights and perms!! Think of the money I’m saving and as you said the time. Super low maintenance

Mary Sketch: I like the way your sister's hair looks. Very light around her face. I look forward to that. After a while my chocolate brown dye jobs started looking so ridiculous on me; I'm not young.

Ann Etherington: Hello Robin I stopped dying my hair about 2 years ago and don’t regret it recently I went to the hairdressers and the young lady said I really love the colour of your hair and that put a smile on my face it’s a lovely feeling when you don’t have to dye it I’m 66 years old love Annie ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Sandy Palmer: It is interesting that I don't think y'all have much gray at all, but keep at it as it is so liberating. I could tell because my hair no longer held color. IT would turn that orangy color after two weeks of coloring, so I was completely salt and pepper all over at age 41 when I quit dying. I let mine get about an inch out and then did a very short cut, so I pretty much went cold turkey. I taught school and went back in the fall and no one recognized me:) I am now 60 and have a white silver all over look. I love it and wear it in a shoulder length bob. I always encourage ladies to just go with it.

Debbie M: During the pandemic I couldn’t do my color & highlights, so I made the decision to go “gray.” After chemo many years ago, my hair grew back in bright neon white, devoid of all color. So this is what I have now. Inches of bright white hair. Problem is that I was med. blonde, & am fair. Since I no longer have the depth of color, this white hair is making me look 100 & washed out. I love the freedom of not chasing down roots, but not sure what to do!!

Nicole Barnes: Thank you for this video! I love all your videos. I also use that shampoo and conditioner and have liked it.

Bowen Family Farm: I quit dying my hair about 3yrs ago. I'm 51 and love it. My husband loves it too. He says I'm his silver fox lol.

Nancy Whelan: I love this video. Two beautiful strong women.

Cynthia Lindsley: Enjoy the Function of beauty products I started to transition about 5 years ago because I really disliked the time it took to get my hair done, it seemed like a silly waste. So I took the plunge. At first it was odd, my hair went blonde like it was when I was young. My hair dresser explained that it had something to do with the chemicals. So I went from a brown -soft blonde-gray. And I really like it ! The Function of beauty products have really helped the texture, I thank you for that information. Have a lovely day.

DeLaViuda: I'm 38 and my natural hair color is dark blonde. In my twenties I had long black hair, but as it grew, the contrast was so big, that finally - after 6 years - I decided to stop dyeing. My main reason was that I didn't know when I was going to have gray hair and I didn't want to get shocked once it would happen. I wanted to see it as it happens naturally. So I got my hair bleached, I dyed it to a similar color to mine and then just let it grow. I have a very long natural dark blonde hair for years and I'm loving it. I would never ever dye it again (even if it turns to grey) I like this company, thank You for the recommendation, Robin! And thanks to God they ship to my country, so I can try their products

CHERYL SILVERTHORNE: Thank you for bring thus to everyone's attention

Helen Green: Good morning Robin and to your sister as well I enjoyed this video. You both have beautiful hair. Pretty ladies⚘⚘

Carolyn Eastman: I’m 70, and fortunate that I only started having grey hair in the last few years.....I’ve never dyed my hair.....still don’t have much grey, but it’s coming....so, I recently started to use the purple shampoo to help brighten it up.....you and your sister look great! Thanks for sharing your journey....

judy markel: I have naturally blonde hair. I am turning gray around my face like Robin. I never colored my hair #1 because I'm lazy #2 because of cost Hahaha I do have a couple of friends who are still dying their hair and the beginning of Covid they were a little crazy because they couldn't get to the beautician. I say whatever makes you feel your best

Debbie Lenoir: I love Function of Beauty products. I haven’t tried the skincare products yet.

Judy Godwin: My hair is fine like yours. Coloring adds body to mine. Did you find that your hair became more limp when going grey?

Garcia Family: Good morning to you sweet friend & Texas neighbor & hugs from me, Lauren, here in Houston!!!! Ahhhh, you & your sister look beautiful! Great vidoe! Stay safe & God bless, please tell Austin hello for me! XOXOXO

Debbie Vonklock: You girls are so beautiful!❤️

PennyBluebottle: Two beautiful ladies

Jennifer Janes: You and your sister both have beautiful skin. You hardly have any gray. You might have to wait until you become all gray.

Lou B: You sister looks so much more beautiful with her natural coloured hair. The before photos look harsh and unnatural.

Annalisa Russell: Your sister looks better with grey hair. The darker hair looked too dark for her fair complexion.

Dicas da Lau: Hi friend beautiful you and your sister, love your vídeos God bless you and your family ❤️

Teresa Moore: ❤️❤️❤️

Cathy Diamond: I call them wisdom highlights. I'm 69 and never dyed my hair. Not much grey yet.

Joy Atwood: You really are a beautiful woman.

Choo Lee Ng: Sad do not have this hair care line in Singapore ☹️. Nice video

Theresa Brown: I wish I had the courage to let the gray grow out .. I do feel it ages people and I’m just not ready.

Marlene Carvalho: ☆☆☆☆☆Brasil ♡

Jean Woodall: I only dyed my hair once. It was that make browns pop kind. No one noticed until my darkest shade brown hair (most people think it's black but for one thing wearing black near my face makes me looked washed out and sickly which I don't look like all the time and another is it doesn't match anything black, it always looks warmer) came back in. I like my grey hairs. They shine even when the rest of my hair doesn't. Not sure though if it will go with my warm coloring as my skin color is ivory peach and my undertone is gold. All my hair was light brown from my early years and switched to the dark brown when I was nine years old. Also I wasn't thrilled as with my thickness (one hair stylist told me I had enough for 3 people) and length (I keep it long to have more waves since mine don't complete until some point after shoulder length). My hair is wavy. The top behaves like straight but the bottom acts like it's curlier than what it is (loose S shapes). If I brush it out when my hair is dry it the bottom looks all frizzy and wherever my hair ends is always the thickest part. It wants to naturally go in a few thick waves but I prefer smaller ones so I comb to get them. I'd need use two kits and would get a stiff neck rinsing it all out. There are other methods of coloring and thickening hair. There's Hairprint that only works with black and brown hair. Eating a certain seaweed brought back some people's original colors. For thickening there's castor oil, Morrocco Method, Cria, and Melisa's Natural's hair growth product. Other people like Dirtpatchheaven and Rain Country have posted hair growth recipes. I love Jessicurl as it makes my hair super soft (have a dry scalp and hair), enhances my waves, and their Island Fantasy fragrance (blend of citrus, vanilla, and coconut) is my favorite. The only heat I ever put on my hair is a thermal cap for deep conditioning which I do once a week. After soaking wet hair I will comb it with a wide tooth comb, apply a leave in conditioner, and any styling products, and plop/plunk (type of turban that encourages waves and curls) with a microfiber towel for about 15 minutes. If I just spritz my hair with some water (it responds best to wet styling) I comb with a wide tooth comb, apply conditioner and any styling products, and then scrunch it gently. Either way I let it air dry. Daniel's hair is curly transitioning to wavy. His used to curl at the root but now curls a little past it. I'm so jealous of his. I wish mine was curly too but I guess mine is the best of both worlds. I treat his similar in that I wet, comb, and I don't have to do anything else since his curl pattern is stronger than mine. He though doesn't like wearing a turban. Vitamin D deficiency can also cause premature graying. Someone wrote in an advice column how their 17 year old daughter had grey hair.
