Surprise, as you can tell from the thumbnail to this video, i did color my gray natural hair in this video. I'M going to be telling you my experience using the curlsmith smith, color gel on my grey natural hair i'll, be having another video showing you my actual application, but i wanted to show you you could take a sigh of relief. It did not stain my gray natural hair. I did this on what days i think i did on sunday. I watched my hair yesterday and so i'm giving you guys fresh review of this experience with the color gel. Now i had a beautiful butterfly comment on my community post, where i had asked you guys. What do you think do you think that this color gel stained, my hair and she was like? I hope not because i love your gray hair and i felt the same way. Let me tell you these are so so pretty they're, very, very pigmented in the video that i'm gon na be showing you guys soon. You will see um just how vibrant they are. These are vegan um, temporary, color, okay, and let me tell you or share a confession with you. There are times that i wish that i could still color my hair. I love my gray hair, but that doesn't mean that i don't miss the days when i used to get color, especially reds. I love the red color. Tell me the colors, before you went gray, that you used to color your hair in the comments um, especially around fall, and i'm seeing all the trees. As you could see in the thumbnail, my hair looked pretty much like the tree. That was behind me, so i went on youtube. I was looking for videos of people who had gray hair and tried this, because one thing i will say to you off the bat reviewing these two colors is that um, the back of my hair, look different than the front of my hair. So your gray hair pattern will affect. If that is you decide to be risky and try some of these colors two people that i interviewed, one of them alison. She loves the mafajung hair waxes. She tries all the different colors and another beautiful butterfly. Actually, she hasn't been on this channel, but we've done consultations together and she uses the not as i am there's another one. I can't think of it right now, but there's another uh brand, that does color uh, temporary colors and she tried blonde and all those different things, and i thought to myself. I don't know, should i try this because i don't know if it's gon na you know stain my hair but um. So when i found one person, i actually put a link to their video in my in the description box when i saw her video that gave me hope. I was like okay that worked on. She had a shortcut as well um, and so i figured if i put these two colors together. This is the color smith um in ruby, and then we have the color smith in the copper color. So when i mix these two together, i got the color that you see on the thumbnail, and i also want to tell you when i first of all it has a really nice smell. It'S not overpowering. The mafajong can have a cologne type smell to it. This has a nice, i don't even know how to describe it's like a floral type scent, but it's not strong or overpowering. I like that. This is a gel. It gave good definition as well um and it went on very rich and dark at first. I was so scared, especially when i got to this part right here, but i noticed as it dried it got, lighter and lighter so giving you a quick um, a quick reaction to having colored my hair with these temporary color gels. I like them. If my gray hair pattern was different than the way that it is, i would do it again, but having done it and seeing how the front of my hair looked very different than the back, i it just affirmed to me why i'm not coloring my hair anymore, Because when i used to color my hair, the color did not look the way i wanted. So i will look at somebody else who has a nice rich, copper, color, and then i try it and it looks different on my hair because especially the white area. Now, if i had like salt and pepper all around mostly black hair and just streaks, then the result would have been different like when i applied this to my hair. I first applied it in the back and it was looking so good because i have, as you guys can see here. I have a lot more black in the back of my hair, but once i got to the front and then i got to my edges, it was giving off this like it wasn't the same effect, but you know i was committed. I was like i'm gon na. You know go through with this, and does it also put any questions in the comments that you guys have about this color about my experience so that i can answer for you guys while it is wet it does transfer. It'S very easy to wash off. I was able to wash it off my hands nicely once it dried. I didn't have any issues with transferring. I did like i said when it's wet it. It came off on my hands now when i was washing this out of my hair, actually i'm in a back track before i wash it out of my hair, i kept it in for only one or two days. I didn't think that it was going to stain another thing. I didn't mention to you guys when you're applying something like this on your gray hair, and you want to avoid staining what i did was. I had already washed my hair. My hair was in a wash and go state already, but i wanted to refresh it a little bit so i got the eco styler argan gel and i wet my hair and i applied that to my hair first. So that was like something that was already coating. My hair, so that once i put these on top of it, it had less of less of an opportunity to stain my hair, so i put the argan oil in there now. If i had enough time, i would have let that dry first, because i think my results probably would have been even better, but my hair was still damp with the gel, but i wanted something in between so that my hair uh didn't stain. So now that i told you guys that, because that's a great tip, if you want to try something um - and you don't want your hair to stain it's better, not to just wash your hair and apply it, it's also good. I i didn't apply this on freshly washed hair. My hair was dry and already styled and that's something that i've done with the gray or silver color gels that i've also tried um. So this ruby is such a pretty color and when you mix them together. Oh, my goodness, i can't wait for you guys to see the video of what it actually looks like so the next day i kept. I decided. I will only keep it in one day, so i didn't have too much time to sit on my hair. The next day, my edges, because i told you guys i'm a head sweater - it was starting to show white, it was getting lighter and lighter. So i had the darkest rich copper color toward the back and then it was getting lighter and lighter. As you got to the front and then my edges, it just started to look washed out, so i was like this is why i don't color my hair mind. You it is a temporary color if it was a permanent color or i went to a stylist, i'm pretty sure it would have taken better. But that's one of the issues that we have when we have gray hair, the the color doesn't take the same as it does. If your hair was melanated, that's just the truth of it. So now it gets to the time of rinsing out my hair so, like i said, i only kept it in overnight one day and then i went into the shower and i rinsed it off first and it rinsed off relatively well like no. I saw there was no staining from when i was rinsing it off the front part of my hair, though i was getting scared because it didn't budge, it stayed orange and i was like. Oh, my goodness, and i told myself when i made this decision to color my hair with this hair makeup. I said, if anything happens, and i get my hair is stained. I at least have my um gray, color gray, temporary waxes and gels that i can use to hold me over until my hair um fades until that color fades away, because there was one of you who asked me a question if you've tried purple products and purple Products stained your hair: what can you do besides letting it fade, and you know continuing to wash your hair to get that color out. Another thing that you can do is put some like. I said the yellow, yellow the gray hair wax or on the gray color gel on top to hold you through until your hair um that hair color fades. So i, if you guys, saw another video that i did using the ag is it ag silver? Is the name of the brand um? They had this purple mask, which was almost bluish purple, and i will say i knew that if i was dealing with oranges, that blue would be a better um. A blue tone, shampoo would be better as opposed to when things are yellow purple is better, but i tried that ag purple mask and it helped me so much. It saved the front of my hair. So what i did was i washed my hair after i rinsed all of this hair makeup off. I use my pantene purple shampoo. Then i followed up with uh by the way purple conditioner, which my hair loves, and while that was on my hair, i took the ag purple mask and i put that specifically on my edges, and i noticed when i put it on there at first. It was highly bluish purple, but then, when i started to rub it in and mix it um, it started to get lighter because i was like okay, i'm not gon na have orange hair. Now i'm gon na have blue hair, but, as you guys could see, look the sun is going down a little bit but um. This is my hair from yesterday, and that made me really really happy that it did not stain my hair. So i know there are those of you who are like. Are you crazy, like i would not put of all the things red in our gray hair? It depends on on your gray, hair. I would say, if you're thinking about doing something like this definitely patch test. Just like, even with purple shampoos, i would suggest patch test to see how porous your hair is and anything close to our scalp or i'd, say for me personally, because my white patch is in the front. I leave that for last when it comes to purple shampoo. So that has less time and because it's white it doesn't need as much time so that it could get bright. So i'm going to look and see if you guys have any questions on this and, like i said i am going to have a video coming up where you're going to see it in action. I even attempted a shower video. I don't usually get in the shower with the camera, because i just don't want to do all of that, but i wanted you guys to see the water as it was taking off this hair makeup. It was very easy to come off. Um lavinia you're welcome. You said thanks for posting, this you've been debating temporary color on your hair. Okay, yeah lavinia, like i said, um when you, if you decide to try this hair makeup, make sure that you put something if you're doing a twist out and you're not doing a wash and go like me. Um, i would say, put your moisturizer or something you know as a barrier between your hair and this hair makeup, and you should be okay, there's no guarantee just because this happened well for me, doesn't necessarily mean that will happen for you just like there are some People who try purple shampoos and they get staining, but i don't i'm excited for you lavinia. What color are you going to try? They have a lot of colors, i'm not into my hair being pink. I think they have like a rose gold. I don't know what the other other colors are um, but these two. It just reminds me of fall, so they were like a perfect danetta. You said, ah so now, yeah danetta was the one who put me on to the ag brand. Is it ag silver danetta? I don't know why it's it's not coming to my mind right now, but yes, i i was also thinking after i used that mask. I'M like that might be something i use once a month or like every other month it if you have really deep, yellow um. I'M not a smoker, but maybe there are some who um i've spoke to who smoke and they deal with yellowing, or maybe you straightened your hair and you're. Dealing with like a a strong yellow, i would say a mask like the ag - is nice and pigmented and depending on the time you leave it on there. It should be good. When i tell you when i rinsed my hair, my hair was like it was so sparkly lavinia. You said you have to be semi-tame so which color do you think you would try um? I there was a part of me that was like. Oh, maybe i could do one side of my hair, this color, because what you guys saw in the picture is both of these mixed together and there was no um. There were no exact measurements. I just put a little bit in my hand. It was like i was painting i eyeballed it. I said. Oh, this looks like a good amount. Oh, i need a little bit more red. I mixed it together, but the vibrancy of color is awesome and, like i said, my hair was very defined and i did get shrinkage the next day, but i also had eco styler in my hair as well um, but yeah, i'm good, i'm glad my gray hair Is back uh, my husband, when he saw was like wait what what happened? He liked the color, but he could tell similar to me the difference in the front um and i was like oh man and i was thinking of putting more, but this is just a highly porous part of my hair. So it's going to look different than the back lavinia. You want to try a blue black. That sounds nice danetta. You use it once a month, but the olaplex purple olaplex has a purple shampoo. Let me find out, because i love olaplex um and that's another good one too, because let me tell you, i. I have a video to show you guys, because i attempted to blow dry my hair using the revlon uh. What do they call that the one step dryer? That'S like a brush - and i used olaplex right before that because i figured let me get my hair, nice and strong um so that it can withstand it. I only got through one piece of my hair and i was like let's just do a that's what i wanted to tell you guys, so the last video you saw with me doing the ag balance shampoo and the um, oh, my goodness, and the curl smith multitasking Conditioner i was telling you guys, you saw half of my hair already done, because i had blow dried my hair, and i was like why. Why am i trying to make my hair do something? It'S not? It doesn't want to do right now. So the moment i put uh, i actually put beer in my hair. I didn't put that in the video, but i put beer in my hair to kind of take out some of the stuff i used to blow dry it and once i put the gel in there, it said. Thank you. That'S what i wanted. You said it's at sephora: okay, i'll check it out. You'Ve been using it for two months. So danetta do you like it? How does it compare to your ag? You are a g brand. I love it and you guys are awesome. Please let me know in the comments what your favorite products are when it comes to color gels or color, waxes and purple shampoos, or things to brighten, your gray hair, because you guys put me on to a lot of things like the bantu out um. One of you guys told me about as well as the ag hi delores. Yes, it is live welcome, so i was just talking about using this on my gray, natural hair, and so if you have any questions about that, let me know so i can answer them for you, um yeah, so you guys leaving your comments and your recommendations can Be helpful not only to me but to others who watch uh the videos and i'm just continuing to learn so much about my gray hair. I feel like, even after you, transition from having color in your hair, there's still so much to learn, and i don't know if it was dolores or someone else who had mentioned to me that i think it was you dolores. I think i just saw a comment. You did on um hold on. Oh excuse me. I felt that coming and i was like okay, but i think somebody was saying uh for my last video. I asked: do you guys you shampoo your hair once or twice, and someone had said that they do it once they notice, as their hair got thinner, they only needed to do it once. I think that was you delores uh danetta, you said hold on hi there irene better than a.g, it's very moisturizing. Okay. I cannot wait to try the olaplex. You love the ola um. The ag mask, though it is, i mean the the thing about the ag mask is that it's very thick. So what i love about the pantene shampoo is it's very bright purple, but once i emulsify it in my hand, it goes on my hair and my white patch loves it. I love the conditioners because, if anybody's afraid of using purple products, i would say conditioners - are your place to start because they're not as drying and they're, not as pigmented, except for that ag mask that um, it's a little bit thicker than than a conditioner anyway uh. But yeah with that, i just have to put a lot of a lot of water in there, so it's not as thick and what i may do is put my normal purple conditioner on top and then put the ag mask on top of it. I think that's what made me like it this time too danetta uh lavinia. You still have to come out wearing your hair regularly. Oh i'm glad you're here and give yourself time. So what are you doing now? Lavinia? Are you wearing uh head coverings like a wig or a head, wrap like how are you wearing your hair? Hi from the caribbean bring some sun. It is cold. Today i went for a walk, i'm proud of myself, but it was. It was cold. It'S so nice to have you here and shelly. Where can you find this okay, good question? Um this i got from amazon, y'all know i'll. Let you know if it's not from amazon. When i tell you i should have stock in amazon um. I think, because of the fact that i can get things so quickly, they they got me sold, but i got both of these from amazon.com um. The links to the affiliate links um because i am an amazon associate - is in the description. So if you'd like to check it out another thing about these full disclosure - these are more. These are the most expensive temporary color that i've put in my hair. The mafijang is the cheapest, then gemini naturals is like mid price, and then these are 19.99. So but it's it's worth it to me. I saw someone do a comparison between this brand and as i am, they also have like a red color and a gold color, but the person said that they noticed the difference in the quality of the ingredients um and the the color itself, like the as i Am i haven't tried it, but the person who was giving the review was saying that it was more like it was a different kind of red, whereas this looked more natural and more realistic um. So you you get what you pay for. Sometimes so you're welcome hermine. It was you delores, i knew it. I was like your your profile picture looks uh familiar and i i figured that was you, but i wanted to respond to you and tell you that i agree. My hair is still very thick and that's another reason why i love to wear it in a wash and go state, because that's when you can see the thickness the most, but i find that um. I only need one wash. Even when i took this out. I only did one wash hi there. You are most welcome and there might be those of you on here who aren't ready to go gray yet, and you still want to color your hair. But maybe you don't want to do permanent because it's harsh on your hair um, because the way our gray hair grows and the time the amount of time that it takes for those roots to come back in and then you have to go right back. I would say, if you're not ready to go gray, doing temporary color, whether it's these or um, you know they have a lot of them on the market. Now is much better for your hair. Before i went gray, i was doing beautiful collections um. It was a very moisturizing color and i loved it. The only thing was within a week or two, my my this doesn't happen to everybody because everybody grays differently. They have different gray hair patterns. But if you have the white halo in the front, it's just it's a setup i feel so like i said i love the way this color looked, i'm like. Maybe if i did it again i'll just do like a headband in the front to cover my front area, because the way the back came out was so pretty because, like you guys see, it's very dark, not very dark, but it's darker in the back, you said, Did i use a clarifying shampoo nope? All i used was pantene purple shampoo and it took it right out, but of course i rinsed my hair. First and honestly, when i rinsed it most of the color was out. I did see of a hint of orange, but only in the front and definitely on my hairline, but the purple shampoo, the purple conditioner and that's another thing. I told myself i was like. If i don't keep this on my hair too long, i rinse it. I mean i wash it with the purple products. I should be fine, i'm trying to think of a clarifying shampoo that i have. I think i have a clarifying shampoo from from curlsmith. I think they are detox, scalp detox. I think that's a clarifying shampoo, i'm not sure, but i notice i don't really need uh to clarify, because i i mostly use gels on my hair and i use a shower filter to help with hard water um. So my hair, i don't really feel like it, gets a lot of buildup and surprisingly, because of this white patch, you do have to be careful um because it can be the easiest to to discolor. I find actually it's easier for this to discolor with purple products and when it comes to heat, i find my salt and pepper that's easier to get yellow for me. Personally, i'm not sure. If that's the same, for you guys, i found another lovely butterfly who is showing her gray hair journey on youtube. I think her channel is called level up with cece. Her hair is so pretty, i believe, she's natural, but she just straightens her hair, and i just saw her video the other day and it's nice to see um, especially those who are prematurely growing, sharing their journey and um. You know i have short hair. Her hair is longer - and i wear my hair mostly coily - and hers is straight so i'll - put her video in the description too. So you guys could check her out lavinia. You said: that's why you stopped coloring and reverted to wigs. Most of your white is in the front, and i don't know if you guys saw i did do a video on the wigs from. I think it's outri, i'm not sure how to pronounce that brand's name, but i found three wigs from them that i am in love with, so that is gon na, be my go-to for straightening, my hair um. Because of the way, my hair is highly porous and it does not stay straight when it gets straightened when my hair was relaxed, it did, but not when it's natural i mean my hair, could look really nice and silky it. It straightens pretty good. That'S not! The problem it's just staying straight and not getting puffy that i have the issue with so i got these wigs and i have two more that i have to show you guys and i'm in love like one of them is a mixture of like black. In the back, and then the white streak in the front i'll be showing that to you guys soon, danetta you like the maizel, you know what you're right they she does have a clarifying shampoo. Thank you for that. Thank you for reminding me of that. I personally love is that the first step or that's the the shampoo danetta lavinia no hive - is that vivia. Okay, let me make this a little bit bigger my eyes nice to be here. You use overtone. Thank you for letting me know that, because that's another company i haven't tried yet i know a beautiful butterfly on here who did try, overtone and didn't have a good experience. She her hair, turned pink, so that doesn't mean that'll happen to everybody, but um. That'S good to know that you liked it what you said. You used extreme silver, okay, i'll check that out hi ginger. What do the purple products? Do you stop coloring, because in a week the gray was bad girl. I feel you that's that's exactly what happened to me: um, there's the color theory and basically for the colors in the color wheel, there's an opposite color that will offset. So if you are dealing with yellow in your gray, hair on the color wheel, purple is on the opposite. So purple products cancel out that color. I remember someone saying that it doesn't take out the yellow per se, but it it does something to cancel out that color. So it doesn't look yellow anymore, but i do have a video explaining some of the things in our lifestyle and routine. That could be adding to yellow in our hair, but that's mostly what purple products are for. Also, if someone is gray and they're relaxed, i believe they use the purple to offset any chemical reactions that happen um when the gray hair is relaxed. Hey wendy nice to see you here, i know how's it been, you must be off with uh you're welcome, jinger, danetta, okay step one, so i do still have the step one. That'S actually my favorite of the maison three-step system, because i'm pretty picky with my shampoos and my conditioner, but i love the clarifier because it actually felt like a i don't know a moisturizer. It didn't feel like a shampoo. Yes, yes, you're, saying yell, yellow out. Okay, is that the bantu that you're talking about um, because that is true - i have done videos you, don't if you're afraid of using purple products, you don't have to use purple to cancel out yellow um apple cider, vinegar is good, which is why the shampoo i Tried in my last video has apple cider, vinegar in it that can be helpful, um and i think it's bantu out um. That also is white and it smells like aloe vera um. That'S also something you can use and kaolin clay, and someone asked me on uh in one of the comments. I appreciate you guys patience because i'm i'm trying out here sometimes it's hard to get to all the comments. But i know someone asked me the benefits of kaolin clay for the skin and it's it helps to detoxify the skin to cleanse the skin. Tighten the skin, but it does it gently. Bentonite clay is something else i use that gives really good effects, but it can be a bit drying. Kaolin is a little bit uh more gentle on the skin, but it's also something you can use for your hair. So i love using kaolin clay and aloe vera or kaolin clay in distilled water, no class finish for the day. Good you get to have some time off: okay, bantu, yellow out! Thank you! Danetta hi jay, your gray is actually white and it's not the most prominent low in the crown and back of the head. You can't see it unless you do a reverse selfie. Isn'T that interesting? I know there's also some people. I think that's what you mean uh. Naturally, platinum, she also has the um her white, mostly in the middle. So unless she has her hair down, you can't see it if she puts her hair up in a ponytail. You wouldn't even be able to tell - and let me know in the comments if this is the same for you guys. You will also notice that the percentage of gray that you have will change with time um, depending on you and your own unique dna will tell how long that'll take i've been gray or i stopped dying for four years, and my hair is a lot more gray Than it was when i first started so um you're, not alone with that jay, you have salt and pepper. You have spare salt and pepper gray in the front and the sides and wendy if, if you're still on here, wendy is another one, i think you've been dye free for at least five years right, wendy and you're. Someone too, who, depending on like i said your genetics, some people gray, but they may not get as much gray as as others i'll give you another example, my father prematurely grade. So i know i get that from him um. My sister is just starting to see her gray hair come in, but it's coming in similar to wendy's like a little salt and pepper and my brother. He has like a little patch a couple here and there um. But me mines came in on the halo and was like i'm here. You said you are getting grayer as the follicles change interesting. Yes, since 2015, so uh yeah, you you made six years now right, hi ishay! Is that how you say your name? Let'S give um ishay a clap, she just started her gray hair journey. It is hard, it's um. I want to remind you that anything we do that we haven't done before. There'S a learning curve and adjustment in the beginning. So no you're, not alone we're here to cheer you on. What'S the hardest part for you, ishay, what what's what's making you feel like giving up? Is it the texture? Is it how it looks? Ginger your first grade was at 20. yeah. My sister is gon na be 30 and hers came late. Mines came earlier. I think i was like 26 um and again when we dye our hair, we probably wouldn't even know when the first one or two comes in until it starts to become a lot lavinia. Your three years die free, you begin at 25 and after you stop coloring, i know right. There are times i still look at myself and i'm like wow. You are really great honey, especially in the front look at this, and then i have moments where um. I'M surprised that, like, like you, see right here um, i have a lot of dark roots, but light ends. I'M still doing some research on that um. But again, each of our hair patterns is unique. Thanks for cheering her on wendy, you came at a good day. Um shea because wendy is, is such a cheerleader and you said, and friends are saying they see your grades more now. That'S that's. One of the benefits that come from this journey is meeting other women who are going through the same thing as you, knowing you're, not alone and also instagram, is a great place visually to see other women who are going through that transition process myself. I colored my hair one time and cut it really low and then let it let it transition look at that. We have another nina here. Hi, you are 68. You started growing when you were 16.. That'S another thing: a lot of people gray in their teeny teenage years and don't even realize it dolores, your gray, is mostly towards the front, but it also is in the back, but it's mostly darker. You started degray early yeah. That was the same for me. I it was mostly in the front first for me and um. It is getting a lot more salt and peppery, and so that's why i was saying to you guys that with this transition, it's ongoing because, first, you are not dyeing your hair anymore and if you are gray and natural you're getting used to your natural texture, which Is different than it being straight, then you're also dealing with um your gray, hair texture, which could be different. So my streaks in the back here behave very differently than this right here and when i put this color on it it just it almost looked like it was see-through like you know, when you put on a slip under a dress and you don't put a black Slip but you put like a white slip or something, and you could still kind of see through that's what this is this area when i put on the color, so it does make a difference. Um, you know i would have to probably go to a professional uh, hair, stylist or hair colorist so that they could get it to give me the kind of look i'm looking for, but then to do all that work. And then my white roots come in a week or two later. No, that's a no for me. Okay, wendy! I love the gray ishay. Thank you. It'S more about the texture. It really doesn't feel the way your black hair does yeah. You have more gray than black. So how long has it been specifically for you, ishay and dolores you said you started to grow out since the pandemic. I was like now's the time to see what it looks like yeah. You took um a great. It was a great opportunity right now, um, with with what's going on um ishay, to explain to you. I did not realize until i started this channel and started doing some research. Your black hair is different than your gray hair. I didn't understand why but um you know what another metaphor or illustration i could give you to help. You understand. I usually use the boot illustration when you get boots at the store and they have like those holders on the inside to keep the shape of the boot, but once you take it out the boot kind of flops over what just came to my mind right now Is a toothpaste tube when you um just get your toothpaste? It stands upright because there's so much toothpaste in the middle, but once you finish, maybe like 80 to 90 percent of the toothpaste. You know it takes a lot to get it. To kind of. You know stand up so in the same way when it comes to the strands of our hair, because there are certain components that are missing or not as much that they used to be your texture changes uh, your porosity changes, um, someone else here mentioned the your Follicles change they get thinner. So that's why you're seeing such a difference with the texture? Are you natural to a shay wendy? Yes, you will feel and see the difference in texture lavinia. I love this platform, especially being a darker skinned. Lady, you guys are giving me lots of hope and i've been told it makes me look older, but i'm embracing it. I'M proud of you lavinia. Let'S give lavinia clap, uh danetta said: lucy pearl doesn't behave at all and she was just a halo, but now her relatives are popping up all over my head. I just love the way. Danetta talks about her hair wendy. The dryness will be prominent too yeah and that's because melanin is a very amazing thing. You know not just for our skin, but for our hair. That'S what gives your hair the color, the pigment that it has and i'm not sure if there are some of you on here too, that have maybe not jet black hair or dark hair. But maybe your hair is like a dark brown and you notice that, as you gray, it's getting like a dusty brown now um everything in nature takes time to transition over, and sometimes we just expect like boom. It'S going to look like this, but no it takes a while to fade, and sometimes it doesn't fade to the color that we like. So i am also going to be doing a video. I got some weave that is like a blonde, a high blonde color and i'm going to be trying some there are gray permanent, hair colors out there. I don't know if you guys know about that that if you're not really happy with your shade of gray that you can do you know some people, don't like this mixed tone that i have some people want to uh um. What do you call that a uniform color of gray - and there are also rinses out there that are gray? That could help you? You know in between time, um and a lot of uh trial and error, because you will find sometimes, even when it comes to the products that you use, that you can't use the same things you use when you had darker hair. So if you guys didn't know, i am offering consultation. So if there are any of you who are looking for more specific help, i offer email consultations. You get a month of support with me to be able to help you with product recommendations. The emotional support that you need, and so just putting that out there if you need that too wendy, yes, salt, pepper and ketchup - is that what you're dealing with right wendy? You know you came to my mind: hi esmen! Thank you. So much for joining uh wendy said darker. Complexions are beautiful, with the varieties of gray. I totally agree because um, my father is a bit darker than i am, and i noticed well, his hair even changed from salt and pepper to like mostly white right now, and it looks amazing on him. So i agree it is nice um, like i said, to see a lot more women of color on youtube and instagram sharing their journeys. Um showing you know that gray is beautiful on all different varieties. Now i put something up on my instagram. If you guys follow me there, i put it up. Last night, i used the sound from this um this woman on instagram and the sound says. If you don't like my outfit, i don't wear it to make you like it and she was talking about clothes, but i thought that that was something that could be applied to gray hair. It reminds us that when it comes to our gray hair, why are we doing it it's important to reflect, because, if you're doing it for convenience, because you are done with having to color your hair all the time you love how it looks, then that's really all That matters, i think we have to allow a space for those who are not gon na like it just like you could wear a shade of lipstick or an outfit like she said someone may not be fond of it, but that's okay, they're allowed to have their Opinion um and you are allowed to have stand in your truth and own. Your truth, which is gray, hair, can be beautiful for you um, and i will also put out there. I'M four years die free, but maybe six years ago i didn't feel the way that i do right now. Maybe i did look sideways as some people and was like, so we have to kind of have that compassion a little bit. Try not to take personal. If someone is not uh invested in our gray hair, look as we are, because there are plenty of us like this live who are here to support you um and i think by many women wearing their gray hair. It'S changing our perspective of it. It changed mine. I did it out of convenience and just being done with being a slave to my roots, but as i went on instagram and i saw different woman's journey, i was like this really is beautiful. It doesn't have to be what we thought it was um. You would be surprised those of you who just started on your gray, hair journey. I also want to let you know, don't define what your hair is going to look like based on. What'S going on right now, it's going to take some time for it to grow. In for you to fully uh embrace or like fully know, if this is what you want, but in the beginning, with the first couple of inches of roots yeah, it's it's hard to kind of think of it like property brothers. When, when you go to this uh fixer-upper and they're like this, is not my dream home and it's like well, that's because they didn't do the work yet so just give us some time know that we are here for you and, if you're not ready. Yet that's also allowed um, so yeah guys, i'm just yapping and chatting here and the sun is going down and i'm starting to get dark. But if you guys don't have any other questions about this hair color that i used or about the gray hair journey um. You know this is your your chance and opportunity to do that now, but, like i said later on, the next video will be showing you guys how i applied this in my hair um. It felt so silky uh in my hair. So i really like that, but i am glad that my gray hair is back. There'S such a freedom of not having to worry about my roots, and i only did that for one day and i saw my roots come back because of how i sweat. So let alone you know if, if i did a permanent hair color, that's why i am done with that. So ishay welcome and i forgot who else told me it was their first time. I think it was lavinia um. I so appreciate you guys coming and joining on the live. You guys help make the live uh extra special, because i get to interact with you guys danetta, who named my hair silver sparkle. I think right um. It was so good to see you guys, wendy and anybody i left out know. I appreciate you, okay hold on. Let'S see, where did i miss all these? Okay? Okay, i think they just came in wendy said the dusty brown. Is you, along with the browns yeah our mind? What'S the name of the gray dye i'll put that in the description for you, there is mafajong m-o-f-a-j-a-n-g, that's a hair wax. So that's going to be heavier. If you have finer hair, my hair likes it and my hair is fine um, but that's a wax and gemini naturals has a color gel, so does, as i am and curls unleashed was the other brand that i was telling you guys about. They also have different colors jay, thanks for reading your comments. Eight years ago you had your hair professionally dyed honey blonde, and it was then that your gray was revealed in that spot in the back of your head. It was a contrast to the dye job. I know and that i'm gon na do a little short video soon to show you guys what how i used to color my hair to try and cam camouflage you know usually with ombre people, do light to dark right. I did dark to light because i didn't want to have to deal with the same issue. You dealt with jay wendy you're, most welcome lavinia. God has your skin and your matching weather your dark or fair, very true jay. Your gray hair is beautiful. Ishay thanks wendy. I'Ve been growing since i was 25. Yes, i'm totally natural. I was told by your primary care physician that you should try prenatal vitamins if you're experiencing some hair thinning and it's working, okay, great yeah, there's a whole there's a whole thing too that i want to talk about as i'm entering as i'm in my 40s. Now that we also have to discuss, like i said this gray, hair journey is continuous, so you're going to find your hair is going to change. Even when it comes to this thinning aspect. Hermione, you get a lot of compliments on yours, which is surprising right and you wouldn't know until you tried it and it's so funny, because when i colored my hair, we went to the park and i just felt different. Usually, i feel like i stand out with my gray hair, but i was standing out for a different reason. This time around wendy, once you stopped relaxing the dye started burning your scalp. That'S interesting, you're welcome, lavinia, yes, lady silver sparkles! Thank you danetta, alright, guys. Thank you so much. I appreciate you enjoy your time this week. Um look out for the next video that i was telling you about on the curlsmith application of the color gel that'll be coming out sunday at 3 and i'll be doing a premiere so that, while the video is playing, it won't be live. Where you see my face but you'll be able to comment and i'll be able to answer your questions. Okay, as always, i appreciate you guys for your support and again look in the description box. If you were interested in having a consultation with me, i am here to help any way i can, and i look forward to seeing you guys on the next one bye guys you're welcome.

Naturally Graysful: For those who are interested in consultations I am here to help. Find out what others had to say about working with me. https://www.naturallygraysful.com/grayhairconsult Looking forward to helping you on your gray hair journey!

Carol S: You look better with the gray. Don't allow people to make you not look attractive because sometimes it is jealousy because you are pretty. Take that red stuff out of your hair I'm just being honest and it's just my opinion

Naturally Graysful: Thank you all so much for watching, I was feeling good today so I am glad I could show up and interact with you live. Please give the beautiful s who just started their journey some words of encouragement. It means a lot to know they aren't alone especially when others don't give them support. I appreciate you all so much

My Disciple Coach: Your hair colored read was amazing. I hope you won't give up on coloring with this product. You looked great!

Shefly Natural: Nina, I love the Curlsmith temporary color. I have the copper and I love it. I next plan to use the Ruby. I’ve never had an issue with staining. The color looked great on you!

Rainbow Blak TM: I recently coloured my hair red too love it too. I love the fact that it’s vegan trying these asap ❤️

Caroline Teague: I’m afraid of color! I’ve gotten accustomed to my grey hair. But this grey is unruly and disrespectful.

indria drayton: I had the abnormal orange henna look for my hair. Straight up FLAME ON!!

Carol S: Oh no...your gray hair was absolutely gorgeous!

Stephanie Williams: I LOVE your salt/pepper or grey hair, LOVE IT. Don’t color or tint your hair……

Shefly Natural: I’ll have to try that color combo!

Darlene Lemmie: There are all types of temporary hair gels. I have used ORS, Get Hue, and Hair Paint Wax. I loved dyed my hair in my youth professionally done. The temporary colors I like them also. It's fun.

SquishyC: My hair is very fine and wavy, so my favorites probably won't work as well with other hair types. I love the By The Way, Your Hair Looks Fabulous purple shampoo and conditioner, I also like the Shea Moisture Purple Rice Water Strength & Color Care conditioner. (The SM purple rice water shampoo is ok for general washing, but it does not tone my whites up when they get a little lack-luster.) I am constantly terrified of putting something in my hair that stains it, so kudos to you for your bravery!!! The most I do is leave a purple depositing shampoo in my hair longer than necessary so I have a lavender tint. :D I use Ion Purifying Solutions Hard Water shampoo when I need to clarify, but I don't to it more than once or twice a month.

Vicky Littles: I WORE WIGS UNTIL MY GREY CAME THRU TO WHERE I LIKED IT..I LOVE MY GREY...I WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR THE WORLD

never too old to learn: Thanks for the in depth review. Glad to see your beautiful grey hair was not affected by the colour........

indria drayton: Henna was for me. Acv and Castille soap chase away my yellows!

AngieHart67: I was like NO!! Ok, ok . I love colors, red is my fav.

Star 123: Your natural hair is beautiful but the Curlsmith color gels are fun especially on ladies of color. I am so fair skinned that I think those colors would be too much.

Sherwanda Griffin: I colored mine purple with Xmondo Super Purple Conditioner. You can see the results on my channel if you like.

Denise W: Good to see you back!!

Ssndy Sanchez: Happy to see your video l color My hair Blue black ..now is gray in the front I need to fund something that won't turn purple..and won't leave it dry ..what you use..how long would it stay Gray ❗ I am in the tropical
