Hello, beautiful butterflies and welcome back so naturally graceful is so good to be back here with you guys in today's video we're going to be talking about my favorite oil, stylers and gels. The question that I get asked the most is: how do you get your hair to do its curl like that or how do you get it to look like that, and I actually have a question from the lovely someone here asked me a question about how to Get good curl definition, so if you would like to know some great products for great natural hair, some gels different things like that. Then please stay tuned and thank you to all of you who are joining on the life. So I have quite a bit of stylers here and I'm trying to figure out how I go about this first. I want to talk about the oils. Then I'm gon na talk about the creamy stylers. If you're not a wash and go person - and you like to moreso - do twist outs and flat twists and things like that, then you can use these um cream, stylers and oil. Also, if you're into gel I'll. Let you know the gels that you can try and why I like each of them so for you guys who are watching this live. Please put your questions in the comments and once I'm done I'll definitely get to them. Alright, so I'm gon na start. First, with oils now I do remember somebody asking me: do they feel that oils stay in our hair and let me know for you guys: do you feel like oils? Do you feel like oil stain your hair? I think I think they do. I think there's a certain amount of staining that will happen with certain products. I tried my best to keep my products colorless, clear or white, but when it comes to oils, I'm working on something to see if they can be an alternative to most of the oils that we're used to using. But when I show you these this brand that I love to get my oils from sometimes I feel like the benefits that come from the for my gray. Hair outweigh the yellowing that might happen, and I have a little hack to help with the grain that you guys may or may not want to try, but I'm just putting it out there. So one of the first oils that I like to use after leaving conditioners my last live, I told you guys about my favorite leave ins deep conditioners and things like that. I don't know if I had showed you guys on the last one, this awesome. What do you call this? It'S a deep conditioning cap and it's made of flaxseed it's from the company thermal haircare and I found out about them via Instagram. I love love. This cap, someone had told me that they saw some from Amazon and they didn't get the best review. So you guys, let me know if you find something - that's not from here. That is great that I can suggest to others, but I love it because the inside it has, if you could see it, it's like a towel like microfiber, which is awesome. You basically take this. You put it in the microwave, depending on your microwave mind. I just put it for about 30 seconds and you put it on your hair and it gives you that added benefit of heat, especially if you're low porosity to help the conditioner do its work in the summertime. I don't use this as much because I realize how much heat I already have going on in my scalp. Excuse me guys if I'm looking up, I have a new monitor, which is a bit higher than my other one but um. I don't use this as much in the summertime, as I do just a regular shower cap and let that steam happen and one of the benefits of having high porosity hair is you don't need as much encouragement to open up the cuticles, because our cuticles are most Of the time like hello, I'm ready, so I just wanted to add that from the last video and if you guys didn't know my someone did ask me what my favorite leave-in is it's from kinky curly knot today leaving I love that leaving conditioner. So after I put the leave-in conditioner in, I use Baskin blooms stimulating herbal oil. Now look at it. The color is yellow, so I I'm gon na see like if you guys can tell. I have a little bit of yellowing in my hair right now and I did use a purple product. I told you guys that I'm working with having acceptance for my the yellow that happens sometimes with my gray hair. But what I love about this product is the ingredients. It'S an olive oil infused with aloe vera marshmallow root, which is amazing, horsetail, calendula, neem, rosemary sage and lavender leaves sweet almond oil, wheat, germ oil, castor oil, vitamin E and essential oil blend. So this is a really good product. I am gon na put the information for it in the description box. I'Ve had this for a while. So I'm not a big oil user. Coconut oil is my fave for pre point, but these are what I would use to seal my hair after having the leave-in conditioner as well as what else yeah I use the these are sealing oils that I use another brand, that I've tried that I really love And when I do these favorite products guys, I meant to give you a disclaimer - do not feel overwhelmed when you see all these products that I try cuz. Someone did ask me that how do you know when a product works if you're trying so many when you guys see all these products that I have here? I'Ve tried them over a number over time, but in the video I'm showing them all to you at once. So remember what I said in another video you do if it's not broke, don't fix it. If you have something that works, fine for you, you don't have to go, buy something just because I say it, but this is a resource for some who would like recommendations for different brands, and things like that. So the other company that I love with oils, that my sister Ashley put me onto is char naturals. This is a fresh herbs and re Vedic oil, and these can be used also as a hot oil treatment, not just to seal your hair. So this one has rosemary oregano, grapefruit grapeseed black seed, avocado oil, jamaican black, castor oil, essential oils, lemongrass lavender peppermint. So it's really really packed. It'S a really good oil to use - and I also tried this one, which is a bit of a lighter oil. If you guys see the difference this one, you have to shake it, that's all of the herbs and stuff on the bottom. Okay and something like this, you could definitely see how that could stain the hair a little bit, and it also depends on how your gray hair pattern is. If you have more white than you do salt-and-pepper, then you might have more of an issue. We also have this one: that's a little bit lighter, but it's basically oil that again you can either use as a hot oil or to seal. It has a lot of herb herbs in here we have neem eucalyptus, hibiscus ginger root, lavender oat straw, raspberry leaf. So this is a really great oil to use as a hot oil or a sealing oil, and again I will use those. I will put the descriptions. I will put the links in the description so now. Those are all that I use if you're dealing with some yellowing that could come from the oils you guys may have seen a video I did where I talked about some temporary hair color that I use they're both I believe they're, both vegan, I'm not sure. If they're, both vegan but they're, both temporary hair colors, and sometimes you may have gray hair that you you want it to have a little bit more depth or you want to kind of add more to your gray hair without, like the purple shampoo and things like That and I tried from Gemini Naturals her get hewed there we go. Oh, this is so weird to do with this camera. But basically this is a temporary Dennis kind of like a gel is really it's really good, I'm just opening it now. I just bought myself some more cuz. I tried it. She had sent me something okay, so I really have to make sure I don't it smells good okay. So this is what it looks like it's very thin. So if you want to give your gray hair a little bit of a darker tone, I definitely don't have paper towel here. So there's gon na be interesting, guys, okay, so this is what that looks like actually I'll put a little bit in my hair right now to demonstrate like, if you have some yellowing, maybe you can just put a little bit of the color. This is something I'm gon na try and do because when I first tried this temporary dye it it was too much for all of my hair. A lot of you guys had said you missed my white patch and I did too so you can put a little bit of this on the ends like these little areas here. Let'S do it together. I'Ll have a formal video I'm dealing with which side is which, while I'm doing this okay, so like you see this area here, that's a little bit. I could put some of that in there and it can help cover you see. I don't know if you guys could tell the difference, but that might be an option to help cover some of those yellow ends that you may have. This does wash off really. Well, it's just right now. I did not think that through with having it here, but let me, while I'm doing this, there's also a brand called Mufasa. I don't even know if I'm saying it right, but this one gives you a more a white, a white look, the other one is dr., and this is more of what waxey it's heavier. So if your hair is then this will weigh it down. This definitely is great, it's actually really moisturizing and it's a lot thinner. This one like I didn't even have to take alot and you guys could see. So if I put that on my hair, let's pick a piece right here, my hair likes both. So I'm going to, I don't know if you could tell the difference, you see how it looks brighter. So I guess it worked out that I had some yellow tips so that I could show you guys this. So that way, you don't feel afraid to wear oil in your hair, because oil is good for our hair, it's good to seal it. When you have high porosity hair, you need something to help close the cuticle and I've tried quite a bit of things. This past wash day that I can't wait to tell you guys about but um those are oils and creams. Y'All should see what my legs look like, because I'm trying to get this stuff. Alright. So after that, something else that I use before I get into the actual stylers, I actually want to see if I I'm gon na experiment and see if I use this before I like put it in my deep conditioner cuz. Remember I told you when I had to interview with Shawna and she talked about using rice, water and some of you may you know, be worried about the protein sensitivity. So she talked about how you can put it in your deep conditioner. So this is from curls and potions. It'S a fermented rice water. It has mint in it, so it stimulates the scalp it also has. Where are we with the ingredients? It has neem fenugreek, oat straw, ginger, shikoku, aloe vera juice, amla powder Brahmi powder. So this is another like awesome tonic that you can put in your hair. It'S made to put in afterwards like you can. I could put it some in right now. You just turn the top. It'S a twist top and I like that it has a nozzle because it could go straight and your scalp when you need it a little bit over here and then got my handy-dandy comb here. You take that and you just massage it into your scalp, because that is also very important for our scalp to massage it so again I'll put that in the description. So this is something else that I use in my hair, sometimes or I used it this past wash day before I put in the gel, so my list of creamy stylers is small, so I'm gon na start with that, as well as mousses. If you guys are doing maybe a flexi rod or a twist set - and you want to know what moves us to try so pardon my ghetto container for this butter here from melanin, the I think it's a her twisting butter. My sister was so nice. You guys notice, I kind of go to my sister, like my beauty, supply store, but this is this. Is the butter it's white, it's very thick and it's really great if you're doing twist outs and things like that, so that's something that you can use as a styler after you put some oil in your hair to seal it in and I don't have the ingredients Offhand you'd have to look on the melanin website and see what the ingredients are for that, so that that's one thing in Baskin blooms Mango caster twisting cream is another really nice cream. It'S heavy! If you guys like heavy products. This would be the way to go. This one has Brahmi. I also have the deep conditioner from this brand. It has Brahmi horse tail, yuca, aloe vera juice, mango butter, castor oil, like it, has a lot of goodies in here. This one is a creamier. This definitely like shea butter is in there. It'S very thick: this is more creamy. This is more creamy which I like. So if I'm doing a twist or flat twist, that is like that's something that I would use to help to seal in the hair so that we don't lose any moisture. Okay, then we have two mooses I don't have. I still have yet to do them. I told you guys that I'm mostly a wash and go girl, and so I haven't used this product yet, but well, I use a lot of body before when I used to be relaxed. I would definitely use that too, when you would get your hair wrap. You put it like all around like it would give really great hold. So I figured when I went to the store. I would try their mousse, so I'm gon na try it out and let you guys know, but I wanted you to know at least what mousse is that I do have and the other one is from Shea Moisture, their frizz free, curl mousse, and this one. I did try my husband even used it. If you want something, maybe you don't want to use creams? Maybe you don't want to use gels. These are great and light for fine grain Achille hair. If you want to hold you want some definition, but you don't want. You know a heavy product. These are some that you could try to. You could try mousse instead of gel, but I will tell y'all, if you're into gel, I'm your girl, because I love gel. This is also a great product. If you don't want something really heavy or you don't want gel, because it gives you a hold and at the same time it's moisturizing, so I would say that this is like in-between a mousse and a gel. This is from nature's little secret. This is the curly custard and it has a very you know very gooey consistency to it, but I love it might from my husband's hair. Oh my goodness. Actually I could put a little some in my hair from husband's hair. He loves it and this has water. Marshmallow root, listen, I love marshmallow root. It gives really great slip to the hair. It also has slippery elm in it. Aloe vera juice, agave nectar, flaxseed oil. So this is a great light. Styler, if you guys, are looking for something more than a mousse, but not so much a gel nature's little secret. Let me look real quick at the question. If you guys have any questions before I get into the gels hello to everybody who's joined. Thank you. Thank You, Joyce hi, Deborah, okay Pamela, you made it we're gon na give Pamela some encouragement today: hey Sheila Mary auntie, sherry awesome, Teresa Teresa's that a little ghetto twist is always good. Yes, I'll send that you love right back, sherry, okay, good, so we're on the same page here. How do I get that out? Okay, alright! So this is a job that I tried again gifted to me for my sister. She is very generous. Isn'T she it's from obeah naturals, it's a curl enhancing custard and it surprised me at how much I liked it. It'S an interesting consistency. Like you see it's kind of gooey. Look at that it doesn't move, it's it's pretty thick and it gives me a good hold. So I was really surprised when I used it I'll link in the video where I'm using this product. I think I used it for my twists or my coils, so this is another one. That'S kind of like this is a step up from this one, but it's not completely as strong of a hold as a gel hi. Felicia is your first time welcome, and this is my boo right here: kinky curly, I love both of kinky curly custard, as well as the leave-in, but this is their custard. Now this, if you don't like sticky products, then this might not be for you. I will say if you, I have plenty of times, been heavy-handed with this and had a lot of buildup, so you don't need much. I use this on my son and my husband's hair and it gives me good definition, but not for long, so I'm mostly used this kinky curling custard for my edges, so we could do a quick demo, it's very, very gooey, but I like it cuz. It gives me a hold and see y'all know my hair is growing because I haven't got a cut in a while, but it's it goes so easy into the hair. Look at that! Look at that little piece, but it's basically gon na take that piece. I could go right through it. I basically, like I said, use this for my edges, because I usually need to refresh that a lot more now. You guys sometimes wonder if there's a difference between my pigmented hair and my white hair. As you can see, the white can get al has a looser texture. It doesn't have as much curl definition, and I don't know if we could tell probably by the end of the live, how this is gon na look right now. It may not look like much, but I love this. What I've been doing lately with my hair is just putting it right behind my ear, but I'm gon na leave it in the in the front, so you guys could see how it dries up. It looks a little interesting, but we're gon na go with it, alright, guys my hands like I really was not thinking with this. Alright, let's keep it moving. My next I tried a new gel from on Jackie's, my two, the ones that I forgot. I forgot to tell you guys about my awesome uncle Funky's curly magic, curls stimulator. This right here reminds me of kinky curly, but this is something that I use after I put the oil to seal. I use this to help. I don't know, like I says, a curly stimulator. It helps to get my hair prepared for the gel, so this also has a gooey texture, it's not as gooey as the kinky curly. So, let's neutralize, let me show you guys what it looks like this also just melts through my hair and it. This is something that, besides using on all of my hair, I use to look so funny. I use it hey ash. I use it on my edges. More so I feel like doing a little a little coil right now. Maybe that'll look better look at the little cutie okay. So that's what that looks like. Let me see if I do that the same for this one. So it's not just looking all puffy. I probably messed up the results, because I mixed both of them, but here we are so I love curly magic, curl stimulator. This is also another one. If you don't feel like using just gel. You can use this to give you some curl definition. If you have a short haircut, your gray is short. This gives good definition. Alright, so I'm gon na show you an on Jackie's product that I tried that got a no from me. I saw it on it's, not Instagram. I saw it on YouTube and I was like: oh, I see curls. I want to try it and see how I like it. This is from on Jackie's, let's call ice curls, it's a curling jelly now this is a this reminds me of like it was. It called Fantasia - or I see you remember - that brand in the beauty supply store. It'S very it's very clear, so it's great for our gray hair, but I didn't like the way my hair felt when I put it in my hair and again I always tell you guys, listen to your hair and listen to your scalp. I could tell you that this is the bomb and you try it in your hair and your hair's like No, so it has grape seed in it. No mineral oil. It has almond oil and marshmallow root. So I mean it sounds like it would be awesome right, but my hair didn't like it now. So the person who asked me how do you know if something's a good product if you have a product that you like, and you know how your hair usually responds and you try something new and it doesn't give you that same result. That'S one one way to go. I will tell you two: sometimes you can't just knock a product when you first try it sometimes. Maybe this is not something that I use with an oil. You know. Sometimes it depends on how you layer on the products that can affect its effectiveness, but for the first try I didn't really like it. I had high hopes for it because I'm gon na tell you the one from on Jackie's that I do love so on Jackie's. Don'T shrink flaxseed along gating gel if you want a gel that will give you a little bit more hang time. This is the one to go. This is the one to try. Oh, my goodness, guys like I do not have a sense of direction. I feel very dizzy. Okay, so here we go so this one. This one is also very it kind of has that same consistency as the ice jelly, but I mostly use it for when I'm doing coils or something where I don't want as much definition. But my boo, my boo from aunt Jackie's, is the car boss. This I have to thank the youtuber. I think her name is joy Navin. I saw her use this in her videos and I was like okay I'll try it these two or my winning combination. These have come for eco styler gel, so I love love this gel. It gives me it gives me surprising, good definition and good hold like it lasts for a while. It also is very clear. Some of her, some of on Jackie's gels, do have like an interesting scent to it. So I mean it's not bad, but it's it's interesting and I'm almost at the end y'all. I know I got a lot, but my last certainly not least, these were my. These are my old G's. Actually, this is my og. I just recently tried the Eco argan oil gel and I liked it. It gave me shine and also, if you want another gel that gives you shine, I would say the curly magic gives you shine and the kinky curly custard also gives a good shine. So this one is was really good. It didn't give a strong of a hold, but it gave me Sheen and it gave me definition: Iko Iko, olive oil. I get very similar results. You know how you go to different McDonald's and Wendy's and fast-food places, and you you know when you get the fries. What they're gon na taste like that's what ecostyler is to me. There are times, though, that it gives such a long hold, and it encourages me to not want to wash my hair, because I still have awesome definition, but I basically this used to be the one. I use more so all the time but, like I said, my favorite out of all of these is curly magic and Carl boss, okay, so that was my long laundry list of stylers and creams and oils that I use for my hair. So if you guys look at this, look at this side right excuse me now. I have to think which one I used. I think I used kinky. I use the custard for this side right and then I used the curly magic for this side. You notice the difference like this is very defined, and this one is defined too, but not as much so like. I said, if you're looking for a gel that could put it behind my ear now, if you're looking for a gel. That gives you a good definition, but not too strong of a hold. Those are the ones to try. So if you guys have any questions, you can now put them and I'm gon na go back and look at all your awesome comments. Hi Maggie. How are you Denise, you think I have a radio voice. Oh wait till I tell you what I'm up to thank you so much for saying that Denise Vanetta you're here good to see you. How is everybody Felicia? Thank you for coming my sister's on here. Naturally, la Felicia, you said thank you trying to embrace your gray, hair and learning how to take better care of it, especially during these times. Yes, I feel you so how long Felicia are you into your gray hair journey or that your dye free, Debra? Okay, some of these you're gon na have to remind me which product you're talking about which product Debra you said takes forever to dry. Camille Rose, I have tried, Camille Rose. It gave me really good definition, but lots of shrinkage, and that was something else I should have talked to you guys about the one that gives the least amount of shrinkage. Is this one here? This doesn't give too much shrinkage because it doesn't have as much hold the Moose's don't give as much, but I can't say that they don't give shrinkage hi, LaVon you're on time, girl you're on time. Vanetta, you said you think uncle Funky's is stronger than kinky curly. Interesting, I guess it depends on everybody's hair. I found kinky curly to give me a lot, a lot more shrinkage to Uncle Funky's, daughter and Denise you loved on Jackie's car Lala. That'S the purple one right Debra! You just bought this. It has wheat protein, which one is that is it the ice one Debra that you're talking about and the net of my girl reminded me Ginetta remind me. Didn'T you give a name to my hair? I forgot what you what you called it you said: Lucy pearl doesn't like any of on Jackie's products. Yeah, I love Carl boss and you guys, please let me know I know Sheila is probably gon na Sheila. You use a lot of Giovanni products right. I forget, if you use gel or not Vanetta, you said: Carrick hair has a great job. Okay is there, does it have a name to it? If you could put that on there de Netta for those and like my sister said yes, sometimes you have to try and try again similar to like a child when you're giving them something new to eat. T create says that olive oil is your jam yeah. Let me know, and I'm not trying to encourage any product junkie, ISM now don't come back and start blaming me and saying you now got a whole. You know closet full. If you got something, that's working for you fine or try one at a time. Maggie said, curly magic and kinky curly, who makes what uncle Funky's daughter, makes the curl curly magic and kinky curly makes the custard that's what it looks like Phylicia. You said the only thing you don't like about: I'm not sure it cut it off. There you've been die three for nearly three years, just like me, yay. What made you decide to stop dyeing your hair, Felicia Debra, you said kinky curly, yes, the meta! Thank you for reminding me. I got ta write that down I'm a writer down, Lady sparkle, lady sparkle, okay, um. Let me tell you guys so right now. What'S in my hair, the styler that I used was the ice, and I mean it gave me okay definition right, but do you see how, depending on the lighting, it looks like yellow, almost greenish, I'm telling you guys? I'Ve learned at some point to like just embrace some of it because Carolyn clay, apple, cider, vinegar, purple shampoos. All those things can help to brighten our hair, but I'm realizing I'm gon na do another dedicated video about yellowing a lot of it. I noticed you guys noticed how this right here and then this area here, like my new growth, that has not been here for a long time very white. It responds very well to purple shampoo, but my older hair, and especially when I don't wash it as frequently as I need to that, starts to get a little old, it's kind of like a white t-shirt. It looks real white in the beginning and then, after a couple of washes, it has that little Dinge to it a little bit. So that's why I love those other products that I'm gon na try and instead of putting it all over, my hair, I'm just gon na put it on the different sections that have the yellow okay. So let me write down lady sparkle, cuz y'all know how my memory is set up. Okay, Thank You. Ginetta, alright, Felicia! You use eco styler gel you like the whole, but you don't like the flakiness interesting. I haven't had any flakes with that. There was one product that I had tried and I was like whoa. This is what people mean when they say things can get flaky. So let me just give you a little funny story. I you guys know that I love me some lashes and a lip. So I'm trying this new product from Lola lashes, it's a clear adhesive. I think I put a video on here about press-on lashes, so I got this clear, adhesive pin I put it on today. I just tried it, but let me tell you the struggle of hooded eyes, so can you you might be able to see a little of the sheen from the clear adhesive? It doesn't bother me until I put my hooded eyes when this fat part right here. Look, you think it sticks to it so I'm over here trying to look at you guys and I'm like come on hooded eyes. Okay, sorry, I digressed Carrick hair protein styling gel clear awesome. Thank You Ginetta now. Do you notice, I'm surprised, because I'm used to the what was that call guys am pro the black protein gel that you would put if you were doing finger waves or something like that, so that's nice to know that it's a clear one, all right Sheila! You said Giovanni directly VIN and tree honey and flower hair. Look so you don't do gels. Okay, thank you for that. Sheila Felicia. You said you moved to a town where I'm not sure why your comments keep them. Okay, you move from DC to a small town in Kentucky where there aren't a lot of natural hair stylist, so you had to start doing your hair and you don't trust yourself doing your hair. So here you are well, we all learn. We all learn somehow and it takes practice so we'll be here to give you a little a little encouragement, but that is hard. You know when you're used to being around places where there are a lot of natural hair stylists. You know you take that for granted. Someone did ask me if I do my own hair and I do. I haven't gone to a stylist in a long time. The last time I went, I think it was to get my hair straightened, and that is almost six years ago that I got my hair straightened, because my son's almost four I mean the only thing I do is go to a barber and even that I'm I'm Tiptoeing with seeing if I could try and do my hair when it comes to back we'll see hi Kayla Belle, you said thank you. I use don't shrink but can't always find it check. Target.Com is that where you usually get it, you were tempted to get ice. Curls, your hair textures are sent similar, so you won't be tempted hey just because I mean I pull it out there just to let you guys know what it looks like. It sounds like it's awesome. It has almond oil marshmallow root, but something about the the texture. Like again, I'm gon na try it one more time. I'M gon na give it one more try, but try it with something different and see if it gives me a different result, but in the video you're gon na see where I did use it, I put curl boss'll on top of it and curl boss. Just has something in it: it could be the flaxseed there, just my hair obeys and it's funny, because this is a coconut, curling jelly and I'm not a fan of products that have coconut oil in it. But this one all right Maggie. What gives the shine? You? Don'T like how dull your hair looks, okay, so what I was telling you that gives me shine. The curling custard gives me shine and the argan oil, the argan oil, gives me shine. I'M trying to think what else I think those are the two, the two Biggie's that that give my hair shine like right now, when you think about it. Like my hair doesn't look shiny, it's got definition, but it doesn't have much shine and it is a little annoying how I have like really white streaks and then like some yellow and but I put it all out there so that, if that happens to you, you Realize you can still rock it. Okay, let's see, let's see Levon, you said you tried Maison 276 and light awesome. You used kinky curly today uncle Funky's daughter and ecostyler yay. Thanks for letting me know, you don't have yellowing, but the main zone 276 did brighten it. Thank you so much for sharing that levana. I like to hear if things work, for you guys, Vanetta said, is the mais own shampoo moisturizing, it didn't feel moisturizing for me. How was it for you Levon? I mean it was like a shampoo. It didn't feel moisturizing. Okay, so for Levon it was so again perfect example guys, remember I'm just giving my experience. You could take it with a grain of salt either it could work for you. What doesn't work for me or vice versa. I know isn't that cute, okay de Netta, you bought the three piece set on QVC. Oh, you haven't used it yet Oda, Netta and LaVon. Have it? Definitely let me know the Netta, how you like it: okay, LaVon. You tried the yogurt and honey facemask and you loved it. You need to get into. You need info for what to use for a deep conditioner. Okay. So I have another my last life that I did LaVon. I talked about all my deep conditioners that I use and it in the description of this video I will also put a PDF of all the products that I use. So hopefully that will help you and I love that you're. Trying everything you know, yogurt and honey - is also something that I tried in my hair. I have a video on that too, a pre-poo of me using yoghurt for my hair, and it was really good to help detangle hi for Tricia. Welcome, I'm so glad. Thank you. So much and I love your profile pic, you look beautiful, okay, Levon I'll. Let you know if I like it, it does sparkled Aneta in some areas like that white, the white that I didn't like, I'm telling you guys you for those who are on the fence about gray. You just never know how your gray is gon na come in, and I was just writing about this today. You, you can't make a full decision about whether you like something or not. If you haven't, given it a full chance to fully grow like if I just stopped right about here with my colored ends, I wouldn't have known how beautiful it is like all grown out on its own, so give yourself some time. Okay, when you're growing out your gray Deborah said use that onion per wash. Are you saying that you used an onion, Deborah Felicia ash? If you're still on here? Do you use, can too, I think, can too um? I don't have anything against it. I like the fact that it's white, I remember using it when my hair was natural. I used the. I think it was a leave in the can to leave in, but right now my hair doesn't really like it. That much just me personally, but I think you could try it Felicia, Denis you also use Maison. You love it. Isn'T that something Denis, I feel the same way I love I used. I actually used it myself this past wash day the step one, if you guys, are looking for a non purple route to brighten your gray hair may zone. The first step is awesome for that, and I just got my. I think it's called band-to-band to out. Someone was telling me about that and I just got my package and it's white, so I can't wait to try that and let you guys know how that is: hi Adele, you said Eco makes your hair dry and flaky. It could be, I don't mmm, I do. I do get heavy-handed with eco styler, so that could be it usually when there's flaking, how long do you leave it in your hair? Did you put an oil underneath the gel that's another thing that could be an issue because, yes, eco styler, if I use it on its own, my hair will be crispy crispy. I have a head flaking, but I don't know if that might be one of the reasons why Ginetta Cantu is okay, there are better products. Trial-And-Error you, like Camille, Rose awesome. I think the only thing I crop I tried from Camille Rose is the Rose maker. Like the. I think it's flaxseed right, the conditioner is it's not bad, but it's I wouldn't use it as a deep conditioner on Ginetta like it's. Not it's not thick enough to my liking, Deborah onion pre-poo before you wash so you're asking me Deborah. If I use onion in my hair before I wash it, I've heard. Onion is very good for our scalp and I know that green beauty has talked about it before, but I haven't used onion and I'm trying to think. If one of these has that in it this one has oregano extra virgin olive oil. I don't think I don't think this one. Oh no, it does this herbal tea, hair growth, it has Irish moss, it has ginger, it has dandelion eucalyptus fennel and it has onion oil in it too. So this is a great one. If your it doesn't smell bad. It doesn't smell, like onion mmm, I'm like smelling that it smells very earthy, but if you're using this as a hot oil treatment, then you just shampoo it out, but I've heard that onion has some good results. Would you say Laura? I forgot what I did. I know my sister's hair is it's. I can't even say goals, because my hair will never get to that point, but it's just so big and beautiful like it's like. I want that hair. You know when you go to be supply, store and like I want that unit that wig unit like I want that hair. But I love mine too. Okay LaVon, you may be confused when you say the shampoo is a moisturizing, it didn't feel dry moisturizing. I'Ve had some shampoos that, like I don't know why guys, but that Pantene purple shampoo, when I put it through my hair, I'm still able to detangle my hair and put my hands through my hair, and I know shampoo is not usually for that. It'S not supposed to be detangling, but to me that's what feels like a moisturizing shampoo. It still has a little slip to it, even though it's a shampoo but the shampoo from a zone. It wasn't bad, but I don't know I guess it didn't wanna. That makes sense, but that first step I really liked it Livan. You did not wash out number three, the conditioner, you left it in your hair. Okay, that's that's an option and - and I think that conditioner might be good like a rinse out conditioner, you know it's light. It'S not. I don't think it's promoted as a deep conditioner Vanetta asks. Does it make your hair feel moisturizer stripped? It doesn't feel stripped, but I don't know what to say like it's: it's not um, it's like in between and well it wasn't. My favorite like. I can't it's not memorable to me, but that number one is definitely memorable. Okay, so Denise said it felt like you needed a deep conditioner after step three, but you use step one with other shampoos and felt moisturized same same hair. So you know, like I said, maybe if, because it's made for all different hair types, so maybe those who have a looser curl pattern or their hair isn't as dry as ours. Maybe they prefer the shampoo and conditioner, but for me personally it didn't it didn't necessarily help that. So let me see if I could get to some questions here that I got Rosie. I hope I answered your question Rosie about what can help give you some type of curl definition. Gel is great for curl definition to me any of you guys use mousse here for curl definition and Sheila. I know you said you don't use gel. So do you mostly do twist outs and things like that, something to help soften your hair is melanin her softener? This is awesome like right now for my hair. If it feels really dry - and I put this on it - this is awesome. I didn't like it as a conditioner, I didn't like it as a leave-in, but I loved it as a refresher or to help yeah a refresher. I liked it as a refresher. You know what I did see that de Netta, the Camille Rose. Coconut water collection. Is that, like a blue or green labeling Adele, you yeah use a little bit of oil with your eco styler and tell me if you have a difference and also try and be less heavy-handed with it cuz that can make a difference. Actually you don't like. Can too, but you find those products dry, your hair out, so the person who asked about I can't do because I can't remember: have you tried it? Do you like it? Danette in my hair did not feel stripped. Oh Katie loves a mousse. You, like the Nairobi brand, thank you for telling me that so that's another one, you guys can try and do you just use mousse in that city Sheila, you wash, you do a hooded, dryer and go and your hair looks amazing Sheila, and this goes to show Guys you got to work with what your hair does like my hair needs. Gel it likes Jo, it behaves with Jo hide Arcia. You use Carrick hair mousse. Thank you for that hi Steph. Thank you for reminding me of your name. Okay. So let's talk about that stuff, I hope I'm saying it right. I think it's called the do. It makes your curls pop and you use it with uncle funky. I have seen the videos on YouTube with people who have done the due wash and go girl. I went to the store to get me my due and be like. Oh I'm, gon na, be my hair. Didn'T like it my hair, didn't like it. Do you just do use anything else stuff with it. You said you use it with the uncle Funky's. Maybe I needed to do that again. This goes to show guys that you have to experiment. Sometimes the layering of products make a difference. I know some people when they do gel. They use oil afterwards to scrunch it out that doesn't work. For me, I need the oil first or I need a sealant. First Deborah you have to use the melanin as a conditioner okay, but I think that's so awesome and versatile that one product can be used in so many different ways. So you're welcome Sheila. My sister said Eco is tricky when knowing what products to mix it can cause flakes that. Thank you, for that says natural ela. That'S a good point. There'S a test that people do. Okay, I'm gon na show it to you guys. I actually did that because I was thinking about using this mango twisting cream. So you basically put one product here and then you take you take a gel that you want to use, take too much right and then you mix them together and if it does what it's doing right there and it's clumpy, then you don't put those two together. Look at that that did not go well together because I think the cream is so heavy that gel didn't work with it, but her some things do work T you do put a little oil under the mousse okay, great, and it gives you good definition. How long does your your style last? Do you do a wash and go Ashley? You said you can use the melon and leave it as a deacon. You can have you used it as a leave-in, conditioner ash. I can't see it as a deep conditioner. I mean actually I take that back because it's light enough, you can add some oils like remember what I told you guys like you, could take this and maybe put it in like you, could beef up and make it maybe it's kind of like an Aussie moist. That'S another creamy conditioner that I know a lot of people use. How are you Pamela, I'm so happy to see that you're able to come on here? You'Ve, never used mousse and your hair hates heat thanks for the thumbs up guys if you're liking. This video, please, give it a like and subscribe Deborah. Yes, you do, okay, meaning you use it as a deep conditioner Felicia. You just started using canned so you're trying to see how it does your hair is a bit dry, but you didn't use olive oil sealant like you, usually do. Okay, so try it with the olive oil and see if that makes a difference. Steph. You said you used it by itself and it was a huge fail, big difference when you add it uncle Funky's. Thank you for that again, showing how sometimes the layering of the products really do make a difference. Ginetta you need to do yes, Ashley. Have you used the do I like that Dannette a hint hint, I'm so happy that my sister is really into natural hair and she's actually doing curl classes, one of our own silver sisters. Teresa just took my sister's curl class, where she gives you some. You know tips on how to take care of your hair, I'm thinking of doing something like that, also which I'll keep you guys posted on, but I'm glad that she knows all these different. I knew about basking bloom because of my sister. I knew about char naturals because of her nature's little secret, so she put me onto a lot of products from black-owned businesses that were really awesome. So I wanted to show you guys something else too addition to the styling product. Sometimes you wonder how you want to get some volume. I tried this out the other night, and this is also something that my sister put me on to to help stretch. This is what she does, even though one of her ponytails is tantamount to my whole head, but I just got these um from Amazon. You'Ll see them in my Amazon store, and I put my hair in three. I take this little front piece here and I put the ponytail on and then I do two in the back should I do one now. This live, I'm gon na be looking very interesting, but just to show you and see. This is another reason why I didn't like that gel cuz, my hair is very a lot more tangled than it usually is with my thicker gels, so I just take. I just took a small piece: I'm really comfortable with you guys, okay to be doing this, so I take that so that I could stretch it from the root and then in the morning I let it go and I spritz some water in it. Do my little upside down shake, and here we are okay. I don't think that looks too bad. My sister is also teaching me how to stretch my hair properly, but that's one of the things that I like about heavier gels like ecostyler, my hair. Even if I haven't washed it about a week or so it still feels soft, I have the definition and it doesn't feel as tangled. So even though this ice gel gave me definition, I'm pretty tangley right now. Okay, so you know you could put your hair depending on how long your hair is in little mini pineapples. You could call them and a pic is your friend to help separate and give you some volume. Now, in my last video, where I was showing you guys my wash day routine, I showed you this little guy that kept fallin on the floor. This was awesome for detangling when my hair was really tangled. I thought I was gon na. Try it this past wash day cuz. I know some people the products into their hair to help with definition. No, not for me. So again you have to experiment and figure out what works for you and your hair. So I tried this with products in my hair and I thought my hair was gon na rip, so it's something about when the nature's little secret pre-poo was in it. It worked in really well, but with gel mm-hmm, so I know some people might use detangling brushes and things like that to be able to help them to gain definition. That'S another thing. Sometimes it's product that gives you the look of definition and other times it's how you put it in your hair, some people just shingle it in others. I forgot what you call that, where you basically take one little piece at a time and you kind of like coil it: okay, let's catch up here, Denise you like that method, I learned it on YouTube girl, just sharing it with you guys, um. I thought that was interesting too, because I know sometimes you would try stuff me but like what just happened, but it's it's all about how the products go together. Danette it does have the blue label. Okay. Thank you, Garcia. You said you love the Caracara moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. You use their mousse with curly. Do gel that's interesting. I'Ve never heard of that. Thank you for sharing that Garcia Vanetta. You have the design essential, avocado mousse. That must be nice. Avocado must give like a good one yeah. I believe that your hair would laugh at massage, like her hair is beyond thick, so I got ta check out this karekare mousse melanin is good as a deep conditioner. Thank You, Debra T. You can get about three to four days with oil and mousse on a wash and go. That'S awesome. Vanetta me! That'S a good question. I mean that's a good point. We should do that Laura hint hint. We could do a video where you could see what it looks like with her hair she's low porosity way more density than I have, whereas my hair is gray, high, porosity and low density, I'm so glad you caught it 2t, oh good! I'M glad I could keep you Vanetta, you thought about using it. Yes, you should gray hair gray. Hair care is my specialty. Thank You Ginetta. I will definitely let you guys know that, so those are some of the things that I'm thinking about, and those of you watching this on the replay to. Let me know different things that I can do to help you, and I think one of the reasons why I'm also thinking about doing a consultation for you guys is a lot of you. Email me, which I love at Nina at naturally graceful calm. If you have any questions, and even just to show me your journey and what's hard sometimes is, I can give very general information via videos, but it's one thing to talk to somebody specifically and find out. You know some more context like what's going on with the products that you use, how are you putting it in your hair? It could be more one-on-one and more tailored to you. I could talk to one person like tu who's down with oil and mousse and then another person who would like something with gel or more hold, or something like that. So if you guys are interested, please email me so that I could put you kind of on a waiting list, as I get all of that together now, Denise was so sweet and said that I had a radio voice, so I actually am getting a podcast together. So that I can interview different ones and just sometimes it's easier instead of coming on-screen just to talk into a microphone. So I did a couple of episodes and I'm going to actually be putting one up today so later on. In my community posts, I'll put a link, if you guys want to check that out, but I just love chatting what is worried and engaging with you guys on the live. I missed you. What is this ashley said? Aussie has to stop because of the alcohol in it. So, okay, i have another video coming up. There'S a new person on YouTube that I love. Her name is curly. Chemistry, I think, is the name of her channel and she gives a little bit of insight into the ingredients that are in our hair products. That kind of blew me away is there anybody on here who uses grease for their natural hair or grease for their hair? I haven't used grease and a long time, and she was just mentioning some things that I'd love to do a video or another live and talk to you guys about. Lady sparkles did not feel that scrunchie and is, and that was a joke to put that little piece in there. I take a lot more of my hair to put it in there and I walk around looking like a rhino in my house. Maggie your hair shrinks. Real bad after washing, if you put product on it it shrinks even more. You did the pre pool with aloe and coconut oil, then shampooed with shimmer Pantene. Your hair felt awesome, that's great okay, so you got the hair feeling good, it's nice and cleansed, but you said anything that you put in your hair shrinks it have you tried deep? What style do you usually use? Maggie Danette'you also feel like aussie. Moist is extremely drying. It'S so interesting because i used it a lot when i first started going natural, but now i don't use it awesome. Denise. Thank you and you know I want to thank you guys so much for the love that you show and the support. The comments when I wasn't able to do the live last week, all the encouraging support that you guys gave. I just appreciate you guys so much and you helped to encourage me. Oh man, I was just looking at my mic levels. I hope I wasn't like screaming at y'all, but you help give me that motivation to keep going and creating content, and I want to tell you something that I learned from my week off and taking a rest. There'S a lovely quote that I heard that said when you feel tired, learn to rest and not quit, and I love the sound of that quote. But I really understand what it means, because when you feel overwhelmed - and you feel stressed - and you feel at the end of your rope and you don't give yourself a rest of course, you want to quit.
