I Put Color Prep On My Box-Dye Black Hair, Just To See What Would Happen?

Hi, hello, welcome back to last looks my name is carly, and today i am not in control of my life, so i am going to take control of my life by taking control of my hair, which is such a healthy coping mechanism. Isn'T it but yeah um y'all might have noticed that i did not upload a video last week. I sincerely apologize for that um, but also i couldn't really help it, because the last week was sorry. Last week was like the craziest week of my life and also i have a size infection so on like on top of that, so obviously um. That means i have to do something to my hair uh, not really, but i have been really bored with my hair for a really long time. It'S super dirty right now, i'm not into it. I want to do something different from the black um summer's coming up. I was looking at photos of myself from this past summer and i was super like confident and felt really hot all the time. Um just want something a little bit lighter like i. I think it would be fun. I don't know what my plans are for my hair yet, but i know that right now, we've talked about this before i'm in the black hair dye cycle, the spiral - and i knew i would be done with it and i'm so done with it of like it Starts to grow out and every time it starts to grow out. I have to make the decision. Am i gon na? Take it out, or am i gon na, die my roots um and perpetuate the decision? Uh not perpetuate put it off put the decision off. So basically, i wan na take the black dye out. I don't know if i will change the color after that. I don't know. If i want to be a brunette, i don't know what kind of brunette i will want to be. I don't know if i want to go lighter than that who knows, but for now i have to get the black out of my hair, and you guys know that i am a. I am a like a spokesperson, not actually a spokesperson person for color oops, though i would take that job, because i depend on color oops like for my life, also sorry about my nails, they're so thin that they like just will rip off. If i try to do something with them, so i'm just not touching them they're gross um, but, like i'm a huge supporter of color oops, it has gotten permanent black, dare dye out of my hair before, but also i have this color prep box and the difference Between color oops and color prep, to my understanding, take what i say with a grain of salt. Obviously, because i'm not an expert but color oops is really good at removing permanent hair dye. This is really good at removing build up or semi-permanent hair dye, because color oops sort of opens up the cuticle and pulls out like stuff out of the hair bonds. I don't know scientifically, and this sort of strips off the top of your hair. So right now i have both those things going on. I have put permanent black dye on my hair and then i also have put black dye on my hair and swapped out the developer, with a um, no lift developer, meaning that the black dye is just sitting on top of my hair. So i'm thinking that um, i can rinse away old, dark, color dull, build off or build up or off tone dye with this color prep and i think i'll have to go in with color oops also. But i thought, since this is a newer product um and i've never used it on black dye before that it might be fun to see. I have used this product before i had red hair over the summer. I don't know if y'all remember but um. I dyed my hair red with a semi-permanent like a splat or something, and i put this on it and it took every ounce of that red dye out. I had nothing left, so i'm hoping that this will take away. Sorry i have a little bit of a cough still sinus infection, um, all that black that i have made semi-permanent with the developer switch i've been talking for so long. You guys get it um. I just wanted to see what this did and since i didn't get to hang out with you guys last week that it might be fun to hang out with you this week. Um and also this is all that i can do with my brain power right now. So first thing i'm gon na do is take everything out, uh we're not in my bathroom, because my bathroom's light is uh burnt out, which is super annoying. Let'S part, my hair into four sections shouldn't. We should also probably brush it out. It'S so greasy right now. Even though i washed it two days ago, which is really annoying to me, obviously it's really healthy, though so this shouldn't hurt it i'm just getting exhausted, with the way that it looks, and i want to change it, i'm allowed. Aren'T i all right. It'S all brushed out, here's how it looks right now i mean it looks fine, it's just that my roots are coming in cro, oh, my god, and i'm just sort of bored, i'm bored with it, i'm exhausted with it, i'm tired of it. I want to do something else, all right, i'm going to split it into four sections so that i can make sure that i get it all. Have you guys been well, i hope things have been wild for me, but they're gon na get better. I can feel it just have a lot of stuff going on the weather is so unpredictable right now, and it is so irritating to me. I am so hot all the time and then i get cold all the time and then i'm hot and then i'm cold and it's so annoying all right. Okay, now i'm going to open up these instructions because can't hurt to read the instructions. Probably. Why am i so sleepy? Why are you still on there? Two? Oh, it also gives you like a shower cap thing. Well, where's my other glove, though oh it's right here i had a walmart sack ready, don't they know what's going on here all right, it says i have to rinse for a long time, so i'm gon na have to rinse for a long time um, but i'm Gon na go ahead and mix it up just like i knew i had to from what i remember. This stinks just like color oops does, but i trust it to work, so it doesn't matter to me if it stinks. I just need a change. I just need it to do to do its job, so that being said, so all right - oh it exploded everywhere still wants to. I don't even have my gloves on yet. Okay, do you guys see that that was a wild all right? I'M gon na go ahead and put on my gloves. We are going to start the process, i'm basically just going to put it all over my hair, i might send you guys into speedy, speedy, speedy town. So, let's do it all right now that all of the product is smooshed around on my hair, you saw me sort of comb through to make sure that everything was in its right place and whatnot, and it is, and i'm gon na use the walmart sack. Instead of the shower cap that it gave me because these are kind of hard to know how to use um - and i know that i can tie these just uh if you use this - you probably know but make sure that the uh writing is on the outside. Of the bag, not the inside of the bag, so i'm gon na put this on my head to make sure that i can like contain the heat that this product is making, because that's sort of what lifts out the color or whatever the heat sort of opens Up the, i don't know what i'm talking about, don't listen to me. I just know that it works better when you contain the heat, because that's how it that's, how it does its thing come on generally, i can do a good knot with a walmart sack, but it's being problematic right now. Okay, i couldn't hear there we go there. We are all right and then, on top of that, i am going to go in with um. Maybe i'll put this over that just to keep my uh bonnet dryer attachment clean um, because i am going to be covering my head with my bonnet dryer attachment just because um that helps the product to develop right because heat, like i'm sitting under the dryer at The hair salon - i got this on amazon - i can probably link it below but um. There are a million of these sold everywhere, all the time um, but this one's mine, and so i'm going to throw this on my head and then i'm going to let i'll probably do it on medium heat, because i kind of can't handle high heat um for 30 minutes and then i'm going to rinse it out, probably for a good long. While you know 20 or so minutes, um - and i will be i'll - probably be back to you to show you my hair before we rinse it. But let's go all right. I am back my head is very warm, oh wet in there. Let'S take a gander before i go rinse it out at what we're looking at, not that i think we're gon na see anything before we do any rinsing. Oh, i see brown. Okay, that's good! To note that i am starting to see brown alright i'll, see you guys after the rinsing all right. It is the next morning and um. I don't know if you can tell, but i do think that that color prep did a pretty good job of. Obviously, my hair is still dark, but if you can see it is definitely brown and not black, which is obviously the start of getting it to be a different color and obviously the start of like the process and really all i could have expected from. It was just removing the semi-permanent black i had so i think that it did a really good job um. It'S pretty warm toned right now, but it's feeling really healthy. It'S feeling really nice and it's like you can compare it to my black shirt. I was getting a little bit tired of wearing black and having my hair just like blend in. So i think that, like the fact that you can sort of tell the difference between my hair and my shirt really helps, but it's definitely brown and not black. Now so i'm pretty happy with those results and uh. Hopefully you guys can join me for more um steps in this process of changing my hair and getting it to be.
