And today we're highlighting a black-owned business in atlanta. The black hair experience is an interactive selfie museum. Celebrating black hair with its 15 exhibits, some instagramable moments for all of its visitors. Photographer elizabeth austin and graphic designer alicia brooks who are friends. They teamed up to create the museum in druid, hills. They put their artistic abilities together to showcase and celebrate black hair by providing a space for the community after years of discrimination nationwide. We really wanted to you know, create this messaging, that that all black hair is beautiful, no matter how you choose to wear it, you should feel comfortable and confident in doing so such a beautiful message in recent years that pride for natural hair has spurred a movement To protect those hairstyles from discrimination late last year, gwinnett county adopted the crown act which prohibits discrimination of hairstyles like braids or locks in the workplace.
