Hi guys, oh, this has been a crazy past week. This hair was not planned at all. I had a major disaster with my Flatiron. If you guys are following me on Facebook or Instagram, you will know what happened. I bought a new flat iron and it must have been way too hot and when my hair was white silver, it completely discolored my hair and thank you all so much for giving me so much help trying to figure out what happened to my hair and it Basically was I used purple shampoo and then I used overtone pastels, silver, deep conditioning treatment in my white silver hair and when I used the new Flatiron the first time. I didn't understand why my hair was turning like a strange yellowish, brownish color and I thought maybe it was from something going on in my hair, but I had no idea that it was from my Flatiron, so I washed my hair re washed, my hair. I will show you guys everything that I did to try to get the yellow out today. I am going to attempt to get this yellow out of my silver hair, my natural silver gray hair. Hopefully you can see it in the camera in person. It is so yellow I have like a big streak. Oh yeah, you can definitely see that right there and it's just all like dull and yellow. So I did a bunch of research to see the best ways to get rid of the yellow in natural gray hair and what I found is peroxide, vinegar, apple, cider, vinegar and baking soda. So what I'm going to do is kind of my own mix of what I think is going to work the best and be the strongest to remove all of this yellow and we'll see what happens so. First, I'm just going to wet my hair with this is just pure water and just get it a little bit damp. So it'll be easier to put the solution in my hair. It'S so crazy that when I used to dye my hair like a box dye and as soon as I would see any gray, I would be like. Oh no. I have to color my hair again now that I have my natural gray hair and I got out of the shower, and I saw that my hair was turning back to the yellow tint. I was like no, I want my gray hair back, so we will see if this works, I'm just taking regular baking soda and I'm just gon na pour it in here. Not even measuring I'm just thinking about how much I'll need to saturate my hair and I'm going to take hydrogen peroxide. This is 3 % just regular peroxide and I'm going to dump this in to make a paste. That'S probably too much peroxide and we'll see. I'M just gon na keep doing it until it gets like a nice little paste. So it's easy to apply to my hair, just going to add some more baking soda all right. That'S a good consistency that should be easy to apply to my hair. Now I'm gon na put a towel over myself, so I don't make a huge mess now, I'm just going to put my hand in here and just slop it all over my hair and cross. My fingers that this is going to work ma. My hair is so thick, I'm going to need a ton of this. I am making such a mess, get the other towel on my lap, but dump my hair right in there. Alright guys, I'm gon na leave this in for 15 minutes and I'm going to rinse. It out and then I'm going to put some apple, cider, vinegar mixed with water and put that through my hair, and I will be back to see if it worked. Then after I did all of that, I took my I dried. My hair took my flat iron started, straightening it again, and that is when I was like. Oh my what is going on, I will show you guys exactly what happened because I turned my camera and I felt like nobody would believe me what happened unless I actually filmed it. So here it is okay, it kind of turned pink. I don't know if you can see it, but the white parts of my hair now have a pink tint to them. I have no idea you guys, but I am going to go and try to. Why is it pink? I don't get it. Maybe it's having a reaction to the colored conditioner that I already had in my hair, but I am going to go rinse, the vinegar and water through my hair and we'll see what that does. Well, I seriously don't know what to do now, but I figured out what was discoloring my hair. This was not here before and you know what did this my new Flatiron, I just dried, my hair and I was starting to flat iron, my hair, and it turned this bright fuchsia. Whatever you want to call it pink color, I'm at a loss. You guys, I seriously don't know what to do other than color my hair, like I don't know what to do right now. If you have any idea why a flatiron would do this to someone's hair. Please share this with any hairdressers. Anybody that you know. Let me know why this would happen. I don't understand. I have flat iron, my hair so many times since it's been gray, and this never happened with my other flatiron. I had an irresistible me flat iron and it just died. So I got this new one. This HSI, which got amazing reviews, so why is it turning my hair, pink I'll show you what happened. So you see this piece there's only like a little bit of pink right. There see house it's hitting my hair, it's changing, color, why? Why is it doing that? You guys Oh see how it's like. Turning that brownish pink color. I am doing nothing different than I've done before with my other Flatiron. I do not understand. I used all of the same heat protectors. I did nothing different than I'm doing right now than I did with my irresistible me flat iron that I'm doing with this HSI flat iron. Please you guys share this video to anybody that you think might be able to help me why this is happening, and I don't know what to do. I seriously don't know what to do with my hair right now. I am like I am at a loss. I just went through all of that to get the color out and it was a flat iron. All along no idea do I need to just color my hair. Now I seriously don't even know what to do. This is crazy. Do not understand what is going on like I said it was completely fine with my other Flatiron. I did nothing different, except for get a new Flatiron, and it is completely turning my hair, this weird pink brown color and this wouldn't even come out. It'S still like tinted in the rest of my natural silver hair. Oh so after that I just started stressing so bad, and I realized that, from what all of you guys were telling me and all the research I did, that my hair was oxidizing with the heat and the color that I had in my hair. I have to be honest, you guys the first time that I burned off my hair with bleach. I did not cry this time. I cried. It has been 15 months of no dye on my hair growing out my natural gray hair and it got ruined. I was literally back to square one. I tried to take my time through this journey and figure out what would be the best thing for me. What felt right for me and honestly, the hardest thing was, I felt like I was letting you guys down. I felt like I was letting my silver sisters down there's so many of you. That said, I was one of the people that was your inspiration to grow out your natural gray, hair and now I was going to dye my hair because I've ruined it completely unintentional. But I had to do what felt right for me and I was stressing so bad. It just looked muddy and gross, and it I didn't even have my natural silver anymore. It was starting back from square one, so I just went for it. I will show you all of the steps that I took to get my hair this color. The only thing that I haven't tried is I've got all my friends are like. Oh my god. What are you doing? I'Ve got my daughter on FaceTime, say hi. The only thing that I haven't tried is the vitamin C, and I used to do this when my hair was dyed and it looks like it's taking out some of the color. So I just did straight-up vitamin C powder and I mixed it with clarifying shampoo and dove dish. Soap. So that's what I've been putting through my hair. It looks like it's really lightening up around here and on the side, so I'm just gon na let this soak and hopefully it will start to fade. Okay. I just woke up you guys and I had coconut oil squalane oil and olive oil in my hair. All night and it looks like it's definitely lightening up it's kind of turning like a brown color, it's for sure fading. This part here is still kind of evening out now, and this side looks like it's coming out even more, but I am going to go. Do another vitamin C treatment, but what I wanted to run by you guys is. I am following what we're following each other on Instagram, I'm gon na pop up some pictures of her here, she's, so beautiful she's, going through the gray hair transition. Her hair is just about the same length as mine and she is purposely coloring, her gray streaks in her hair, and it looks so gorgeous on her. Obviously, what I have in my hair right now was a complete burning accident and does not look cute. But what do you guys think look at these pictures of her? I think it looks absolutely gorgeous. I am going to go continue doing the vitamin C to see how much of this pink I can get out of my hair, so I have a nice base to start from okay. This is what we're dealing with right now, my beautiful silver is basically gone. It is so muddy and yellow you can still see the strips. I got rid of the pink, but now it's like just that burned, color same thing. On this side, I'm trying to decide if I'm going to try a color remover to get rid of the rest of this. This was bright silver like bright silver like this. If that gives you any indication as to what happened, and now it's like a muddy yellowish brown color, so I have no idea you guys, I'm just going to slow down and figure out what to do I'll. Show you my hair, all the way around. It'S like much darker underneath and it almost got all the bleach cut off. A few of you have recommended that I try a soap cap, so I'm using 20 volume developer with equal parts of shampoo and conditioner, and I'm leaving that in my hair for a half an hour. Now, even though I know that my hair is too dark to tone, it silver, I'm going to give it a try to see if I can change up the tone just a little bit, so I'm using just a regular white conditioner mixed with Pravana chroma, silk Vivid's In silver - and I left that on for 20 minutes well, this was a total fail. I did my best. I talked to a bunch of different hairdressers. I sent pictures and they all had some ideas, but nothing worked. So I got the pink out of my hair, but I still have the brown streaks and all of my gray is discolored like this, like very close to my hairline, you see this white silver. That is what all of my hair is supposed to. Look like and I'll put up a picture just so you can see the difference of what my hair is looking like right now it is just so muddy. It actually looks more silver on the screen, but hopefully you can see the contrast of what my hair is supposed to look like all this natural silver and the scorched rest of my hair. Even this is still scorched and it still did not get it back to where it was so. It looks a lot darker and muddy and I am just totally not happy with it so for now this is what I'm gon na do. So I don't have to look at my hair and then I will decide I'm going to try one last round of vitamin C mixed with shampoo for one last time and I'm leaving it in my hair for a full hour this time. Well, it did not work. Nothing worked and I'm not sure if you're going to be able to see like this looks way more gray in the monitor than it does in person like when I'm looking in my mirror right here, my hair looks like a dirty muddy gross color. So it's basically like I'm starting all over. It'S like you can see right along my hairline. My natural gray is nice and bright, but the rest of it is all full of like this brownish yellow color, so because the styling tools are going to do this. To my hair, I'm not willing to sacrifice not using styling tools like that was my biggest thing, that, as my hair was getting healthier and healthier and growing out, I was getting so excited that I could start styling my hair again. My hair is short. I don't like my hair short, so I have to style it and make it look cute. Otherwise, just wear my ponytail extensions, which I cannot wear anymore because of how dull my hair is. So if this gives you any idea, this is a pony tail extension that I was wearing before. Okay now you'll be able to see the muddiness. When I put this next to my hair, you see how this is not like bright anymore. It'S just dull and gross. So this is completely totally not going to work anymore and my hair has completely changed color. So that was the hardest thing, as that I went through 15 months to grow it out and get it how I loved it and I'm not going to give up my styling tools. I think from all of the hairdressers that were giving me their advice as to what happened. It makes sense that when I used my new Flatiron, it was way too hot and it reacted to the overtone, silver that I had in my hair. The overtone conditioning treatment and it pulled out these weird colors on top of the actual flat iron burning, my hair and it scorched it. It didn't damage my hair, so thankful, but it discolored it really bad, and it's just making me stress out, and it's making me really unhappy and the reason that I got upset and actually started crying is because I was thinking of not only myself, but you guys All of my silver sisters out there that have watched me go through this journey and grow up. My natural gray hair, and I'm like my only option right now, is to either bleach it which I'm not gon na do again, I'm not touching bleach on my hair or color it and start all over, and I felt like I was letting you guys down, but When I finally realized after days of going through this, that I have to just look inside myself and figure out what is right for me and what's gon na make me happy and the decision that I made is I'm going to color my hair? Am I going to let it my natural gray grow it again. I don't know we'll have to see what happens. I'M just gon na go day by day and see, as my gray starts peeking through what I'm thinking is. Maybe I will just a low light as it's coming through, but right now I have just been so stressed about this. I'M just going all-in, I'm coloring my whole entire head and I'm starting over because I'm starting over anyways with just this muddy gross color. So if I have to start over, I might as well start over with a color that I like and then go from there so after 15 months, starting all over. So I decided to just do this myself and I'm going to use Garnier olia. This is 60 % oils and no ammonia in this hair color, it's not chemical free, but it was the best one that I could find in the drugstore. That has the least amount of chemicals and the most oils in it. So I decided I'm going. This is basically the same color that my hair was dyed before I started my gray hair transition and I'm not trying to get back to this color, but why I decided to go with this is 7.0 dark. Herbal wand is because my hair is naturally so dark. As you can see like in the back and I'm not going to bleach it, so you can't color with a lighter color over dark and expect it to lift and turn into this color. So this is still going to stay dark, but this is going to act as kind of highlights in my natural gray hair and you can always go darker. So if it ends up being too much of like a warm golden look - and that's really not what I'm going for, I can always go darker. So this will kind of work as highlights to my hair and cover all of this gray and blend it in hopefully with the rest of my hair. This is crazy. You guys, oh my god. This is the first time I have colored my hair in 15 months. This is insane well what I can say so far about this olia hair color is, it is totally not burning. It doesn't stink, like my eye, the other stuff that I used to use. L'Oreal preference would be so strong, it would make my eyes burn and water, and this does not even have a strong smell. So that is good. It means that there's not as many chemicals in it and, like I said, there's no ammonia and extra oils in it. So I am going to wait 30 minutes and it's already changing color. My grades are already gone. Oh my gosh, I can't believe this. This is so crazy. I'M very curious to see what color this is going to come out alright. So this is the color that I got so far. It'S so strange how you can still see kind of the wiry mists of my gray and looking at it in person. It looks more of a brown almost, I feel like it's almost a green tint, and so I definitely have to color it again, but it's so much better show you the back. It blends so much better with the darkness underneath so one more try and I will have this all covered up. Okay, I just went and got this hair color. It looks crazy red, but I need some serious warmth in my hair. This is l'oreal paris, excellent cream. In the color 6r b light reddish brown, and this is the brand that I used to use. So I know it covers my resistant gray hair. Unfortunately, the olia did not work on my resistant gray, but i know that this will so, let's see now we're getting somewhere look at that saturation. Yes, this is definitely covering putting more warmth back into my hair. I'M going to leave this on for an extra ten minutes. It said four resistant gray, instead of thirty minutes, to do 40 minutes. So that's what I'm gon na do and we will see how it turns out. So after all of that, this is the final color that I came out with, and it's crazy that I used that bright red color. My hair just needed so much warmth put into it and I probably will go even warmer than this. I'M really not sure yet, but for now it's covered. I don't know what I'm gon na do from here, but we will see. I really hope that I can help you guys or anyone you know who is dealing with silver hair. Do not turn your flat iron on too hot or don't use heating tools. Personally, I am NOT willing to sacrifice my heating tools to have my white hair it. I could not wait after 15 months of growing out my natural gray to start styling and straightening. My hair is so thick and coarse and, like you can't probably can't tell right now, because I've got it all straightened, but when my hair is not straightened, it looks like bushy and crazy and I don't always want it like that. I want to be able to use my styling tools and straighten my hair and put waves in it. So for now this dark hair is what I'm going to do. The next time you see me I may have highlights. I may start growing out my natural gray. I honestly don't know I feel like whatever works, for you is what you should do. Whatever makes you feel good. That is the answer. So if you guys know anyone who has silver, white or gray hair or even light blonde hair share this video, let them know show them what happened to me, and hopefully this will not happen to anyone who watches this video just be super careful with your heating Tools, I wish I knew this before, but I can't go back and it's not the end of the world, it's just hair, it will grow. I can make a decision if I want to start my journey again or keep coloring. Thank you so much for watching you guys bye. You

A M: I find it interesting how many women have commented negatively about your grey hair. Our culture is so obsessesed with appearing youthful!

Jennifer Taylor-Kemp: Your Grey hair was amazing, you looked stunning. When you were silver it certainly made me decide to go silver also. this was a few years ago, i love my long silver hair, the best thing I ever did, so I have you to thank for my decision.

Miss Roxanne: Girl you should have rocked that yellow and that pink. Call me crazy but I liked them both.

Deb L: It's too bad we associate grey hair with age. So many people go gray in their twenties. Its possible to appear young with grey hair if the mind set was just different. We just can't get over our mental connection with grey hair and age.

Ryan Whitley: It stressed me out that you didn't stop sooner and just go to a colorist. They could probably have prevented so much of the stress you went thru. Love the brown, love the gray, both look great. Glad you got to a new normal though.

Laurie Paris: That's got to be the damndest thing, if I hadn't seen the flat iron turning your silver to burgundy with my own eyes, I would not have believed it. So sorry for all you've been thru, but it's not like loosing a body part... your natural good looks shine thru no matter what color your hair is.

Chevonne M: I actually felt physically sick when i saw this. I am devastated to see your beautiful silver hair ruined. I have just gotten rid of my last bit of colour dye by chopping a short bob which i love! I'm so sorry you had to go back to the dye bottle.

Spitting Kitty: Oh wow, thank you for this. I'm now two years into my natural silver hair after cutting it all off (started going white at 13, now 43) and it has been SUCH A PROCESS! I would be devastated to have something like this accidentally happen and I'm not even hugely attached to my hair (hence the cutting it off). Me and others will learn from your misfortune!

Brandy Kimberly: I have to say that I’ve NEVER heard someone complaining about wanting their natural gray hair back. I would totally say the same thing because her gray hair looks like it was dyed that way. It looked beautiful on her!

SeaweedWitch: Girl stop with the natural remedies. Vitamin C and soap only does the bare minimum. You should have done a bleach bath to remove whatever the hell was in your hair, followed by a protein filler and the right level toner. It would have been minimal damage, compared to a color remover which also does very little. You didn’t have to dye your hair dark again. But since you did, use Olaplex so it doesn’t look so dull. And next time don’t use box dye!! It’s horrible for your hair. Anybody can buy professional coloring products at Sally.

Lisa Isabelle: Oh Lisa, I'm so heartbroken for you. I'm gonna go against most comments here and say that as much as brown hair looks good on you, the silver was simply stunning. I just started the grey transition (thanks to you and Elisa in Montreal as main inspirations... I'm 2 months in) and you are STILL AN INSPIRATION! What happened is pure bad luck and you didn't let anyone down. Thanks for this video as I'll know what to avoid in the future not to ruin my future grey hair. ♥

Maia Taub: At some point, you may have to learn to embrace a different hair texture than you consider your style. You may have to choose between constant dyeing/heat tools and natural silver/no heat/learning to care for coarser, wilder hair. It can look amazing; it doesn't have to be a bushy mess. It's just that you might need to get to know your aging hair and shift some of your self-perception. Good luck!

Melinda Lewis: I am 51, just started getting a bit of gray around temples, sweetie you are beautiful no matter what color of hair you have! After nine kids I have decided I am going to embrace everything that life throws at me. Natural black with gray or purple pink, no color no hair don’t care. I hope you get to a point that you just say “whatever “.

Spirit Moon: I can so relate to your story when you were dyeing your hair; I did the same...oh NO the grey is showing! Now I embrace my glitter. I'm not laughing at what happened, I'm laughing at your expressions and how you're telling the story; so calm and matter of factly. If that happened to me, I would've headed to the store for box dye and be done with it. You'll get your gorgeous silver/grey back. Thanks for sharing, so we all can learn. ❤

Nikki Oglesby: You seriously are gorgeous with every color. You have GREAT hair and an adorable cut. Have fun with it. ❤️

Hollie Schaefer: Your skin is insanely beautiful! How is it that you don’t have one wrinkle ?!

Stellar By Starlight: You look fabulous with the dark! I can not embrace the grey in my hair, at 56yrs old...I continue to do my roots once a month and I’m very ok with that !

Carolyn Browning: Ohhh. So now your starting all over! Love your silver hair! This is too bad, but you can do this!

elkie tagle: Your wear the grey so well and make it look classy AF. Inspiring. It’s nice we women can change our looks whenever we want. #empower

EARTH ANGEL: Your hair has so much body and it looks pretty when not straightened. Like after you first dyed it, it was feathered around each side and looks stunning. You're so lucky to have such beautiful skin and hair and should love what you have. You're a stunning woman and believe me when I tell you this. We are our own worst critics and I wish you could see what I/we do.....God bless you.

Victoria: I’m going to be honest brown hair makes you look like mid 30s!! Amazing

Holly XO: OMG. A similar thing happened to my hair but in the shower. I still don't know exactly what happened, but my white hairs were splotched with orange, pink, and reddish colors when I'd gotten out and looked in the mirror later. I had just posted my 7-month transition video a couple of days beforehand. I frantically tried whatever I could think of to get it out, including Vitamin C and shampoo. Nothing really worked, but the colors kept changing, which gave me the impression some kind of metals were involved. I didn't have any toners on my gray hairs and hadn't put anything new on my hair. I still don't get it. It's been heartbreaking and I felt my heart plummeting all over again as I watched 15 months of your beautiful silver hair be destroyed and I remembered how I'd felt after every attempt to reclaim the lovely color I'd grown only to find every one of them a fail, as I saw you do similar things in trying to go back to how it was. I don't often cry, but this made me cry several times. That flat iron company has no right to sell flat irons like that. Obviously, your last one didn't do that. I'm so sorry that happened to you. My heart broke when I'd lost 7 months in places on my hair. 15 months. OMG. It's so sad.

blondbum: I'm glad I saw this video. It's a crazy thing you had to go through, but I didn't know this could happen from a flat iron!

GymBarberella *: I have a similar situation with my gray hair. I started using henna for strengthening my hair and it started to stain my hair. So I had to completely color it with cassia obovata to even it out. I can’t believe how healthy my hair is now. My hair looks and feels thicker. My hair breaks a lot less. I’m able to retain length now. I really miss my gray hair but my hair is much healthier than before. Thank you so much for this video because I felt so alone. You are my silver sister forever no matter what color we change it to. Stay beautiful

Palak Jain: All you had to after all this was wait. You looked gorgeous even with the yellow undertone as well. ✨

Val Hollylee: I feel for you. I'm very silver (61) and I would cry if that happened to me so bless you and I hope it isn't too long before you can grow it out. I don't use irons for this very reason.

Rebeca Stevens: I’m mesmerized how Lisa can wear any hair color so fabulously!!!

Reneé: Honestly, I love your new hair hue better because it makes you look even younger. The new color also looks natural. I wouldn’t care what “the silver sisters” think because this looks amazing. You also look like Salma Hayek in this video.

pam glover: Seriously I loved your silver hair!!!! Your dark eyes and eyebrows and skin tone just pop with the silver!! You are a beauty anyway you go!!!

Anais Rivera: OMG you are who I strive to be when I get older. I’ve never understood what the big deal about gray hair is and I’ve always said that I won’t ever dye my hair to cover them. I think you look beautiful both ways but your gray hair is completely stunning. I hope I even look half as good as you do with gray hair.

Country Cluckers: Oh wow! I feel for you!! Your natural color was so pretty. The brown looks good on you also. I went dye free in 2012. My hair is down past my waist now, and natural curly, so thankfully, I do not have to do much with my hair. Most of the time, I just let it dry naturally fluff and go. You are beautiful, regardless what color your hair is! Look on the bright side, goofy bright rainbow colors are in! You could have just let the pink in and rocked it.

Wen: For anyone who doesn't know, gray/silver/white hair CAN be a symptom of certain health issues like low thyroid function or copper dysfunction/deficiency. Please don't think "I'm just getting older and this is natural", if those issues aren't addressed they can lead to serious illness. For more info on copper, refer to Morley Robbins videos and his facebook page - Magnesium Advocacy Group (yes, the title says magnesium, not copper, but it has info about copper as well)

Susie's Nail Hauls And 50 Plus Skin Care: I’m crying for you! I have tried bleaching 3 times toners every thing I could do to get silver I ended up going from salt and pepper to dark blond green! I ended up putting a purple dye just for fun, I have a crew cut so I’m a dark purple now, won’t be long before it gets cut off and I can try again but I need to do it at a salon! Buy the way I thought you looked great at 16 minutes in!

Pppaaattt: I’m soooo sorry you went through that. Thank you for sharing. You are so beautiful and look great as a brunette as well .

Amy Norton: Girl, you rock your natural silver, but never feel bad about doing what’s best for you.

Tammy LT: So sad to see so many comments by women implying that our hair choices should be about trying to look younger instead of about embracing our authentic self. Maturing women are stunning and strong in owning their truth. I'm sorry this happened to you. But know that you are still inspiring to those of us who are transitioning to our natural grey.

paulapwrm: OMG...this is hysterical. I sooo glad I saw this before I started playing with coloring my gray hair. Went gray a couple of years ago, but am bored. Want to do something temporary. BTW, your gray was beautiful, but so is the colored. Must be that you're beautiful.

Twin Flame Radio: Apple CIDER VINEGAR RUINED MY HAIR! So glad I found you!!! I wanted to share my story with you. I allowed my grey to come in last year, when I decided to do a dark Chocolate henna because I got cold feet staying grey and wasn’t ready for it, all went well and the first henna over the grey- I mixed two colors - dark blond henna and chocolate henna from a natural product store wideknown in malls and it looked stunning ! It came out like blond highlights over a chocolate base. I got so many compliments! And felt great and that my hair was healthy with Henna instead of dye. When I went to dye the next incoming grey, I used the same henna’s mixed - HOWEVER someone told me to ADD *coffee and *apple cider vinegar with the next henna. Having mixed all together , the henna soaked up all the liquid and so I kept adding Apple cider vinegar to wet the henna mix for application as it began drying like mud—AND WHEN I WASHED OUT my hair - it turned Lucille Ball red!!!! I WAS MORTIFIED AND REALIZED I BURNT MY HAIR!! I have LEARNED We can’t just do anything we want to our hair. HOT IRON ALSO TURNED MY HAIR GREEN!! picking up one of the bases of the dark black henna I had used a third time to cover this mess !! I had multi color red, green, black, yellow where the henna didn’t take — and some of my hair was faded brown . I WAS DISTURBED AND UNDERSTAND EXACTLY HOW YOU FEEL. I did a NON permanent black twice to balance it out and didn’t want to use permanent dye because my hair was so damaged and dry -and so only multicolors remained when it washed out AND it made it yellow when it washed out. I then did A PERMANENT BLUE BLACK months ago, and have been growing it back out now since last summer. I have learned that our hair is fragile like our skin and we can’t just do anything to it. I learned how much I didn’t know about hair from this experience and I learned a lot about how disturbing hair not being right makes you feel FOR MONTHS AND DAYS AT A TIME HOW IT AFFECTS HOW YOU FEEL WHEN YOU DRESS AND DONT FEEL RIGHT ! I also learned that henna over henna doesn’t color the same like dye over dye. IN MY OWN WAY, I share your journey - 2018 was the worst hair year of my life. I will learn how to maintain my grey hair soon. I even tried cutting it into a bob last year and since I have thick curly hair - someone razor cut it to death and it made it all worse - I kept trying to fix the problem and nothing worked. Lesson learned about my vanity and my ignorance about hair not being a professional trying to use natural products ruined my hair —and I also leaned how our hair affects how we feel/ view ourselves in the world or want to be projected in this world. I realized all my life I took my hair fro granted and how I could rely on it to complete my look in the world of who I am. I really relate to you and understand how this feels for you. Bravo for sharing your journey !! Bravo!!❤️

Ann Evans: You are gorgeous no matter what colour your hair is, although i really loved the silver on you, everyone is going to have their own opinion, as long as you are happy with the choice you made then it really does not matter. :)

D: What a journey! I loved your grey hair it matched your skin tone, I also thought your grey hair made you look very natural and younger. This hair colour is ok, but at least now you know what grey hair looks like on you. I am hoping you will eventually go back natural, but it is whatever makes you happy at the end of the day.

Dany Guerrero: When I read the title my brain could not comprehend what you meant by natural gray hair. After thinking a lot I thought you were one of those people that start growing gray hair since like 30, but then i discovered you are 50! You look so good! It´s a shame what happened to your natural hair, but you still look amazing!

Dreaming KLD: I feel so bad this happened to you. I am working on going to my natural silver grey and that is really scary to see what can happen. I need to use my irons too. Thank you for sharing this.

Tif R: I love it! You look beautiful. I am so glad you decided to do what makes you happy.

qthoshi: I’m glad you showed what this did to your hair, I haven’t flat ironed my hair in a long time and I’m not going to now! My hair is salt and pepper.

Lightning Lass: Awwww hun! I feel for you. Your grey is beautiful, your brown is beautiful. You look gorgeous with any hair colour. Your not letting us down. Your being you!!!! I started my transition 4 months ago, expecting gorgeous grey hair. It’s growing in to a muddy salt and pepper. Am devastated. I expected a lighter hair colour. I am gonna aim for 6 months growth and see how I feel but I feel the same as you, I don’t want the muddy colour! I want the vibrant! Ahhh.... hair can be so stressful. All the love to you Lisa :) xxx

D. Mills: It has taken me years to get my hair to this very long length. I get compliments on it daily. I do dye it but I won't take any chances with something that might burn or break it. Good luck, as it looks to me that you just lost 15 months of grow out work :(

Brandyce Wonderland: I'm about to be 36yrs old and already have my silver growing out, which looks crazy awesome against my black hair. I'm so glad I found this bc I think if my hair changed like that I would melt.

Tammy Waltman: I am 48 and stopped dyeing my hair last month. I am a natural brunette so I just chased the line with dark brown hair color every month for years. Well I decided to stop and let it come in. I got to tell you, my hair feels lighter and looks healthy. The grey looks really good. So I'm just going to let it do its thing. If I don't like it when it's done, I'll just dye it again. Lol oh and your grey was gorgeous!!! What was your secret to such gorgeous silver hair?

Patricia Robinson: OMG. This exactly what happened to me. I have been struggling with yellowing for years. Yes I did everything imaginable to get rid of it with little or no help. I knew the heat of my flat iron was not helping but never thought it was the flat iron itself causing the issue. I recently attempted a Demi color of lavender with a slight streak of pink mainly in the front and sides of my hair where the most yellowing was. I am pretty conservative and did not like it. A color removal was attempted which basically bleached the sections of hair making it completely yellow. At that point the decision was made to color my hair. I am adjusting to the change but have to admit I miss my white hair.

CarolinaLS1: Your hair looks beautiful!! It looked great graying and it looks great the color it is now. Don’t worry one bit about disappointing the women growing out their grey . They will continue, or not, regardless. You do you ! ❤️

Brenda Gurley: I’m so glad I stumbled onto your video. I’m letting my grey grow out from very light blonde tinted hair. I have very long hair, below my shoulders. I couldn’t understand why my ends seemed so yellow. Now I know! Curling iron is at 450 degrees! Too hot! Going back to pin curls!

Val Cat: Wow what a crazy trip. Loving your grey/silver hair. Thank you so much for making this video!! Xxx

Renee Eagan: I love your hair gray it looks so beautiful. I've been thinking about letting my gray grow out, I've had grey hair since I was a teenager. Just getting worse and worse and I'm 34 now. But I was just wondering even before you dye your hair when you're showing those videos your hair doesn't look as Gray as all the other pictures are showing is there a reason why it looks so dark even before you dyed your hair?

Jean Vignes: You still look very pretty with brown hair. Don't stress too much. I've been natural silver for 8 years or so and just last week my neighbor put a "pale baby pink" rinse on it that turned out to be lavender/magenta depending on the light. LMAO! Oh well, we get bored, try to make a change, and sometimes it just doesn't work out. Laugh about it and move on. What else can we do?

Susana Colmenero: I am about to turn 31 and have been graying since I was 15 but oddly enough it’s only gray in the front. I am inspired by your 15 month dye free hair. Sorry this happened to you! You look beautiful either way! :)

Hannah Sharitz: You look amazing! But I’m sorry this was so traumatic for You! Hopefully you embrace the new you you look bomb!

M K: OH MY GOSH, YOU LOOK AMAZING!! i mean the silver was cool but this brown color makes your skin look so healthy and glowing and i know its not just the makeup, the brown probably just makes your skin color pop more.

MikuHatsune: How do you remain so calm? I want to know. I saw your gray transition video and you're my goals

Joy O'Brien: One of the things I love most about your channel is that you always seem to stick with affordable options! It amazes me seeing you make those hollywood lights, color your own hair and do your own manicures. What do you now use to cover your grays between colorings? Thanks! Look forward to learning even more from your channel.

Liv KG: This kind of broke my heart GURL. I feel if you had started the correction process with the vitamin C, you might have gotten through it! I’ve never dyed my hair and plan on keeping my grey hairs when they start coming in ♥️ LOVED your hair before, sorry this happened

Holland Dennis McRae: I absolutely Loved your Gray hair it looked really pretty on you. you look good in any color. Gray hair doesn't make you look old.

Intuitivelygray Journey: Oh no! ‍♀️ This must have been heartbreaking for you—after being committed for so long. You basically had a chemical reaction that worked against you. But, it’s okay...you’re a trooper. If I were you I would’ve embraced the multicolored look. It’s beautiful. Why? Because you’re a trend-setter, it’s what you do. So eventually it would’ve perhaps faded back to the organic silver after a few washes or strips. In the end, your new look also ROCKS!!

Crystal Jacob: I'm so sorry! I prefer the Gray and i know how much of patience it takes to nurture your gray transformation. Blending in with every other 30 yr old is not the best thing. You can do it again! Cos you know how Rock that gray!

Tracy G: Omg I’m emotionally exhausted watching this video! I’m just about a year into going dye free and I KNOW how it feels to agonize over it! I love that you shared even the mistakes. Bless your heart!❤️

Ne. Vs: Absolute torture what were you thinking ???? Ruined your beautiful natural grey hair with all the different chemicals and products .... All the colour reactions were screaming at you ....” leave me alone”...... You kept going resulting to go back to brown, which I admit suits you a lot but....what now ??? Will you be trying to grow it grey, again ??? Or keep colouring it for ever ....??? We just have to accept our natural beautiful selves girls, by stopping all the product companies get richer and richer ....on our expense !!! Never forget, less is more !!!! and never forget to let our NATURAL beauty SHINE !!!!

Amandasilversister: Oh my!!! Thanks for this!!! I’m just fully transitioned now!!!

Rose Ross: Proof that people should always just go to a professional and have it done right the first time. Save yourselves a lot of time and money, plus your hair won’t be a huge fried and damaged mess after the fact.

Robin: I am 60 and, of course, have natural gray coming in. I have been highlighting my hair blonde for many years but I decided to bleach it and do the gray hair that is popular and stop fighting Mother Nature. First of all, I believe it aged me at least 10 years if not more. Then the upkeep was awful. Using a high-pigmented purple shampoo dried out my hair and I don’t think it has gone back to my normal hair yet (probably from the bleaching).

Holland Dennis McRae: I really loved your Gray Silver hair it was so beautiful on you. You looked gorgeous I personally Believe that Gray hair is Beautiful and does not make you look old. You should totally grow out your gray hair when you are ready

Marnie Bishop: Love your hair..gray or brown! I have been going natural gray for the last year after watching you do it .

Cinder: OMG! I feel for you, as a silver sister. But you look just as beautiful. That inevitable white stripe which will appear is not youthful or attractive though people, which was a large part of the reason she went silver in the first place! It is funny how people think the shocker stripe is acceptable and grey hair is not! Anyway, lucky for you, you are gorgeous whatever!

Mel O: Thanks for sharing. I'm going through the grow-out process now and this is very helpful!

World-a-girlz: I must admit I'm sorry to see your beautiful gray hair gone but you look great with the brown as well! You inspired me to let my natural gray come in but I didn't even last a month! I just wasn't ready so I'm happy with my choice to use the black-violet color. I will try the gray again in ten more years!

Gloria Koch: When I was much younger, I used a straight vinegar rinse after shampooing. We hadn’t heard of conditioning in those days. It worked well to keep my naturally dark hair soft and manageable. That was also before the advent of using hot rollers and flat irons. But then the gray started and I started coloring,

cat in the hat: You can tell how great, full and healthy her hair is, shes no qualms slapping stuff on, my hairs so fine I'd never dare attempt a home dye now let alone a remedy for fear my last three strands off comb over will fall out.

Juliana Beu: I am so sorry about what happened to your silver hair. But the new color looks absolutely gorgeous as well

brian cole: Its looks absolutely gorgeous anyway. The contrast of the dark and gray is Perfect!

Rachael Kapaun: I love grey hair. And I have my platinum blonde tinted grey now. Anyone who is hating on this lady's grey needs to shove off!

sistakia33: Your natural hair was is so beautiful you made me want gray hair!!! I'm crazy jealous! Sadly my gray grows in one strand at a time and I end up tweezing the strands out because the strands grow in angry and rebellious! Like teenage rebellion! I think rather than waiting for the next twenty years and hoping for the best I might have to consider Fringe science next! Besides, my mother doesn't have a full head of gray hair either and she's knocking on age 70! (Maybe I have to consider cryogenics? Clearly I'm not going to age and gray naturally! Oh well, beauty is pain!)

Trisha Paniagua: i think this new color is doing wonders for your face it makes it look really young and brings a warmth to your skin tones.Definetly not a fail

zartory amichy: You're gorgeous, not matter what color your hair is, your skin is like a 30 year old, so good luck on this journey with your Beautiful full thick hair

Maria Trapp: LOVE LOVE! Your best color ever!!! The silver was striking, but this is GORGEOUS and dazzles your eyes, lips, and your entire beauty! Youthful too!

angela buckley: I've been growing out my silver gray starting at 40 with the birth of my last baby. That was 15+ years ago. It was thick and beautiful. I got compliments all the time. Now with cancer treatments its falling out. I'm so sad. Good luck with yours. Be glad you still have your hair.

Gloria Koch: I think your hair at 16:00 is absolutely stunning, love it especially the silver ends! Guess I am just not hair savvy but if my hour dresser could copy you, I would so love it,

Maria C.: At least this is a good learning experience! I’ve been debating whether or not to let my gray hair grow out.

I am Darvit: omg the same thing happened to me this week! I'm a hairdresser (licensed for more than 25 years) and ironically I didn't even use a flat iron... it turned pink/purple then yellow & some spots of greenish.. still have NO IDEA what happened. I only had one inch of old dye left on my ends to grow out. With the freaky colors showing up, I tried to use a color remover to try to get the stain off. I only left it on a few minutes but it bleached the lower half of my hair! I'm heartbroken and sick to my stomach over this. I had to go to some colleagues to tell them what happened (their only guess is that there was some strange chemical reaction because of minerals in the tap water & chlorine from the storms we were having & the color oops type product I used to try removing it.) I got their help to match the non-bleached natural hair at the top and I had to dye my hair ends to match as closely as possible. Unfortunately, there will be some of that golden caramel faintly there on the dyed grey ends for probably the next year as I have to allow it to grow out so I can gradually cut it off. :( Our only option is to let it grow out and try to keep our hair healthy... so very sad for you and anyone else that has ever had this happen to them. It totally is like having to start over. There are no words... I know "it's just hair" but we were so close & this is a huge setback. Stay strong <3 I wish you much luck! I'm using caffeine (topically) along with a dilution of rosemary oil in spring water to help my hair grow out healthy, strong & nourished... just hoping for the best.

Sonia Munoz: I realize I’m late to this party, but I just gotta say I’m super impressed you didn’t cry on camera. I’m looking forward to keeping my silver as it comes in, but I also want silver not compromised. Can someone please tell me if vitamin C powder is helpful for hair?

Jasmine Harper: Your hair looks SO MUCH more healthier than before and that is a fantastic cut on you!

Susie Thomas: It looks nice, but please grow out your silver hair! I started going grey (silver) in my early twenties and now, in my forties, I have waist length silver hair and I love it! It's my favorite color it's ever been! Don't give up on your silver!

Tree House: In a case like this, I would have consulted with a hair colorist with a two year history of what has been done to the hair and allow them to restore the grey. I keep thinking all this experimenting is too much of a risk to lose or damage the hair.

Roberta Hubert: Your hair looks great and you are so lucky to have all that hair.

Bren Ten: I'm so sorry you had to go through all that. I can certainly relate, and my hearts breaks for you. Grey hair is a horse of a different color, for sure. I've had just the slightest off white masks discolor my hair, I've had oil turn it green, and demi permanent color stained my hair and cost me 16 inches of hair having to be cut off. ( that was after multiple color removers, vit c treatments, baking soda and developer, bleach washes, etc.failed to work, yet damaged my healthy hair to the point it was breaking off and falling out by the handfuls). Now 2+yrs later, I still have about 4 inches of the demi color left to be cut out. I now baby my hair like crazy because this has been a nightmare. I use no heat, have not even put semi permanent or fanci ful on it-some reviews have claimed that the brown, black, and red fanci ful has stained their hair and now it won't come out either. I know you're now using it and I am going to try the white minx and silver lining once all the demi is cut out, but do be aware that it is possible- I'm sure if a person's hair is really porous that it could possibly stain it. Glad your hair is back on track now, but im sorry you had to go through your nightmare too.

Sidhely Aguilar: Hope to see you transition back to your natural hair when you grow tired of dying it! ❤

Chick with a Guitar: Question: Did you colour your hair TWICE in one day? And did the L’Oreal have a strong smell?

aliciaseptember: On a positive note... you look super good with dark hair!

P J: OMG! Don’t go gray! You look so good with brown hair. You’re too young to go gray!!!!

Angel Diva: Love it, Im growing my gray out...Not about to fight gray hair with color and end up with a see through scalp.

PENN.SMITH.SKINCARE: Good news is you look amazing in any color!!

Cathy: I loved your hair silver/ grey beautiful. What a scary thing to happen. Im allowing my silver grey to dominate Im staying away from flat irons and heat after watching this.

I ❤️ NY: You look beautiful either way ...sorry you went trough this and I hope that flat iron is not making your hair change the color again.
