Hey you too foxy silver gal here I hope you are having the most amazing day again. I want to thank all my new subscribers and all of my regular subscribers. I'M happy happy happy because I've only been on here three weeks and I have 48 subscribers. So I'm pleased, thank you so much well, as you can guess from the title today. It'S about making Ziggy shine, making Ziggy Sparkle. I noticed the other day that, on some of the pictures that I was going through, that my grades really weren't silver, they were kind of yellowy dingy, I'm saying hmm. This has got to go and I noticed that essentials, for you was having the same problem because she uploaded a video today and what worked for her was food dye, yeah blue food that she mix in with her her co-wash this morning. But anyway, I decided, as any self-respecting Silver Fox would do in a situation like this would be to go to the internet, and this is what I found so I tried it yesterday. I couldn't really see the results in person, but I did take some pictures and I'm going to upload them at the end so that you can kind of get a comparison between what was there and what is now, and please you tell me if it worked. I'D love to hear from you love to hear your comments. I would love you to rate. Would love you to ask me any questions and again I have fun doing this and I hope you have fun along with me. At any rate, what I am trying to avoid is having to bring in the big guns: dun dun, dun, dun, dun dun. Anybody remember the purple shampoo, so if this works that I won't have to go to that, so thank you. So much youtubers have fun enjoy your day. Bye! Oh yeah. I meant to tell you what I did yesterday. My routine was I first pre pooed with oil, and then I did a co-wash. I did my little paste treatment rinse. That out, then, I deep condition with my homemade shea butter mixture with shea butter oil mixture and I mix in a little bit of the Aubrey organics GP, GP, B yeah for protein treatment and wash that out. Then I followed up with my leave-in, which I like the kinky curly knot today and what I do oh yeah, then I oil that in I locked it oiled it in then put a little bit of more of my shea mixture in there and I braided her Down flat braids for last night so that I could get my fro today, so that's what I did now. The only thing is she's feeling a little hard today harder than I'd like. So I don't know if that was the pace that I used with the soda and the peroxide it could be, or if it was the protein that I mixed in with the deep conditioner I don't know so you tell me: what are your thoughts? Tell me what you think may have happened, but anyway, thanks bye, oops, hey YouTube's practice, silver girl here hope you're having the most amazing day. I am having a great day today, as you can guess by the title. This is about Ziggy and it is about color. It'S about getting away! Dang nope! Don'T like that!

vlnewman: Just found your channel! Thx so much for representing for your fellow foxes. I've been natural for 1 year now and am loving it. I get compliments every day on the color, so maybe we are encouraging others to embrace the gray. You wear it well!

Linda B: My grey is one of the main reasons I decided to go natural. I didn't like that every time I relaxed my hair it changed the color of my grey (and I LIKE MY GREY! I EARNED IT, darnit!) So it is really nice to have found your videos..

vesica piscis: Hey there foxysilvergal, looking good! I've noticed it happens to me too sometimes with protein overload, but deep conditioning may help with the brittle feeling. my hair tends to be a mixture of high, medium and low porosity, so i need the protein, but then i need the moisture too. i'm working on finding the right balance. LOL, thanks for sharing the hysterical bloopers! more, please.

Sara Foster: Your hair looks amazing, the gray is shining just nicely. You know our gray hair is very stubborn and doesn't take well to everything so it could have been the protein or the peroxide, Love the headband keep the videos coming cause I need help...........Be Blessed.

Jan Tankey: I love your hair! The baking soda and peroxide definitely made a difference. As a person who has not embraced her gray hair yet, I am so glad I found you!

FoxySilver Gal: Thank you Flavawear. Accepting my silvers was a process, but I'm embracing just as much as I'm embracing my texture. Love the journey. Yeah, I'm also loving the challenge. Thanks for your comments. ;-)

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks so much HairMercie. I like to keep it light, so I thought the bloopers would keep ya'll laughing. I wet, moisturized and oiled tonight and Ziggy is a little softer. I'll keep working on her. Thanks for your comments. ;-)

Pretti Uneekhair: You and essentially4u are keeping me educated on this. Thanks for sharing. I have heard that some are protein sensitive or protein overload can cause the hard dry feeling. Ziggy still looked great

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks so much. I'm going to co-wash her tonight and re-braid for the next week or so. Hope she softens. Yes, I am having fun. Have to keep it light. It's my new hobby.

Cliche Marie: I replied to Essentials4you about brightening gray/silver hair. My grandmother used Mrs Stewart's Liquid Bluing (laundry whitener) when I was little and her hair color would be absolutely beautiful when she used it as a rinse. The idea of using blue food coloring makes sense because it is non-toxic and biodegradable and so is liquid bluing. However the bluing is hard to find nowadays, so why not try the blue food coloring? I was thinking about dying a gray streak but I'm going to try this!

sheshej4: I love the hair accessory. Very cute on you

Silver Foxy: <----newest sub! Great video, thank you. I've been on this journey for almost two years now. Each step along the way, I'm looking to include more natural products in my life. Recently, I stopped using shampoo, conditioner, hair sprays and serums etc. I even stopped using deodorant...and basically replaced everything with apple cider vinegar and coconut oil. When I tell people this, they look at me like I'm a tree hugging hippie --which may be true ;) ANYHOW, the biggest resistence and dilemma I've come across is dealing with yellowing. I'm going to try this when I wash my hair again. Thank YOU!!!!

NaturallySalt&Pepper: Your hair looks lovely; thanks for video and inspiration.:)

Kim Samantha Ramsey: Hair is looking splendid. Love the video :-)

Word of Hope: Loved the post. Have been using Mrs. Stewart's bluing for more than a year now. Keeps my silver - silver. I put a little in my regular conditioner, leave it on while I shower and rinse as usual. Good for yellowing after heat or if I use the wrong product. Some product contains color.. I try to use products that are either clear or white.

FoxySilver Gal: Hey rcp6326. Good for you! I am so happy to find Ziggy's twin. You're right, they could be from the same mold. LOL. Thanks for the suggestion and congratulations on the move in the techie world. ;-)

Regina C: I have used Aveda's Blue Malva shampoo for years and that works for me. I figured out how to add a photo so you can see Ziggy's twin :-)

Alex Williams: Boy am I late..6 years and just seeing this and others. Anyway I'm so thrilled to see black, women especially embracing and loving their beautiful black kinky curly-naturally curly hair-lol. I've been natural for almost 4 years and yes the gray has arrived..lol... I'm still coloring but soon I'll stop.

FoxySilver Gal: LOL, yes I did get that from Carol. I always thought it was so cute. Who knew I'd mimic her and show it to the world. Hey, happynappy, thanks for the comments and encouragement. '-)

FoxySilver Gal: Oh thank you, Shadae. Do you find the texture of your gray is different?

Beth Parker: Five years later, I guess you were one of the first to do silver! going to do your technique. thanks

Deborah Brown: Your hair is pretty. I love your accessory. You have a magnetic spirit that is enjoyable. I started my journey about 10 months ago. I learned how to do crochet braids from watching Youtube so I have been wearing protective styles most of the time. I am now ready for the big chop by the time the weather warms up. I am happy I found your channel and plan to follow.

NaturalLuxeDiva: You look awesome Foxy Girl. Loved the video :)

FoxySilver Gal: To all my commenters:  If I missed a reply to your comments, please forgive me.  I've been a little AWOL over the last few months but trying to get back on track.  I appreciate all that you share with me and thank you for your support.

woodenshoelane: Just lovely!  You look FAB-U-Lous!  i feel so encouraged now.  I am doing a protective style currently, because my hair is thinning in front from menopause, hormones gone mad!   I have been using organic henna to dye my hair, but i am sooo tired of that I just want to go grey completely. When my hair grows out a little more, I will just leave it gray and nappy.  Thank you so much for this video. I am now a subbie.

PRenea's Place: Love your hair candy!!! Did you make it?

Over50andFantabulous: Took the plunge 8 months ago (going gray). Glad I found you.

Fran Scott: girl, you are having too much fun!! Keep it up Your hair could be hard from the paste you used. Just give it some moisture and you should be ok. BTW, you hair is beaitiful. Thanks for sharing!!!

FoxySilver Gal: Oh thank you so much. We go thru phases of liking or not liking gray. I finally grew to love mine.....thanks for the compliment.

L Taylor Taylor: I was having a problem seeing my grey hair. I mean the way others see it. So, I had my daughter take pictures. My sister said half of my gurl hair was black and the other half mostly white silver with black.

efhawkins19: After any protein conditioner, follow up with a moisturizing conditioner. Use protein conditioner on low porosity hair once a month, or when necessary, your hair will let you know as you noticed after doing this treatment. Protein and moisture even things out. On the yellow try using Bantu conditioner which is white, sold in Sally’s.

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks grayhairtwists. I think I'll try that. As you see, I do have the purple stuff and that did work for me. So I think I'll try the blend. I wasn't sure if the problem was the protein or this, but as I recall when I used the GPB the last time, I didn't get the hardness. So it may have been the soda. I'm going to experiment. Thanks for the suggestion. ;-)

Dionne W. Waller: I love my gray hair, and you are so right about not using anything with color in it eco styler gel the black casterol with flaxseed stained my hair now it a slow process bringing it back to my beautiful silver white hair.

geegrimes: Baking soda and peroxide has a very high pH like relaxer, which is very harsh for hair. That's why your hair was hard the next day, cuticle damage. To get rid of yellow use a conditioner for grey hair first then on top of that, use whatever you normally use for conditioner. rinse it all out then proceed with your leave in. The secret is to not put anything on your hair that has a color. No black castor oil, olive oil, or any other colored products. I use coconut oil because it's white.

dreamweaver822: Your hair looks great! Sorry it' feels hard though. Pravana is what some one recommended a while back. Made for white and gray heads. I haven't tried it. So you can play guinea pig for us

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks so much, Sandy. Thank you for watching. '-)

FoxySilver Gal: Oh my goodness. Thank you girl. Hope you keep watching. I love my subs. ;-)

FoxySilver Gal: Hey Sara. Thanks so much. I think it may have been the peroxide. I'll do my best to keep em coming. '-)

Mrs D: Thanks for the video, love the hairtie :)

Brandy Patton: Hey Lady.. I LOVED your video. Keep them coming..

FoxySilver Gal: Yes, I saw that vid. I forgot to mention that I did bring down the ph by doing a ACV rinse to bring down the ph after I did the treatment and rinsed out the conditioner. Thanks for the compliments. Will bring more vids soon. Thank you for subbing,

LADYOF AK: You are so beautiful love your hair. I'm greying also. I don't like it but as long as it hold on, then I'm happy.

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks for your comments. I maybe protein sensitive. I'll test it again in the future ad see how it turns about. Essentials is such an inspiration to me in helping me get started in this. I can't help but mention her in my vids.

FoxySilver Gal: I don't know if I mentioned it in the vid, but be sure to follow up with an ACV rinse to bring down the ph. Also, check out essentials4you. She has another method for the yellowing gray. Thanks for your support. '-)

naturallyme: hey hey, looking good! I love the bow. I can see the difference. PS...I see that Carol Burnett thing your doing :) I loved her show

Kim Killett: I think it was the protein! A revitalizing deep conditioner with heat should come after protien.

Silver Hiker: You are lovely! Thank you so much for the tip. You are so beautiful!

Sherri Alexander: Love your hair!

SagittariusBlue12: I'm looking for tips on how to grow a healthy afro. I'm over 50 and a lot of the people I've seen on youtube are younger and I'm glad I found your video. Thanks for sharing.

FoxySilver Gal: My pleasure. Thanks for the compliment. That was just a headband with a flower clipped to it. I can only wear fros right now, so I roll with the hair candy. LOL '-)

Belle Haupi: Just subscribed and I love your hair.

essentials4you: I heard some things about protein, but thats something I haven't had problems with. Your hair is brighter. That Black Headband is making Ziggy stand out even brighter...Wondering about the peroxide is it really ok for the hair??? Looking Good...and Thanks for sharing..

Simply BJs Creations: Will this mixture get rid of brassiness in my silver/grey hair?

FoxySilver Gal: You're right. I just haven't tried this again yet, but I'll re-visit and tweak it a little to narrow down the problem. Thanks so much for watching and subbing. '-) And thank you for your suggestion.

FoxySilver Gal: Oh Thank you. You are welcome. I enjoy doing them. I have a lot of inspiration out there. Just sharing the love. ;-)

Jasmin Flower: Bi Carb is like a salt. It will dry your hair out.

Ashanta Pinckney: Your hair is beautiful

sheshej4: You look so pretty!

FoxySilver Gal: My candy. LOL Thanks. It's actually a couple of things I put together. Thanks for watching. '-)

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks Renee, but no I didn't. That is actually two different things I put together. One was just a headband that comes usually 2-3 to a pack and the flower is a metal clip. Walgreens had a BOGO on them and I couldn't resist. Yea, I luv me some hair candy. '-)

Sherri Alexander: You're welcome and thank you very much! 8-)

carol johnson: I love your hair. I have been natrual for a year now. don't have a lot gray hair but my Aunt does. Trying to get information for good conditioners for her hair. Please help if you have any ideas.

Taina Chapman: hi beautiful, .please post or show all your products that you mention as well so that we can see them and hopefully purchase them for our beauty & hair treats!! til next time ..enjoy your day!!

FoxySilver Gal: Moisture, moisture, moisture and more moisture. I've learned a lot from here on the tube. Try things to see what works for you. It's a lot of fun and don't take it too seriously, ;-)

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks for watching. '-)

1108PNC: You were recommended by a friend, love your engery . I tried this mixture before seeing your video. It did not work for me. Because of the peroxide it turned my black stands brown. DId not like the look.

Desistah: Love your personality...

FoxySilver Gal: Oh Thanks girl. I subbed your channel. '-)

Jackie Kelley: If would be more helpful if you showed the products you used, step by step , and actually do your hair on video. thank you... and thank you for the information.

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks, girl. Hope you don't mind me mentioning you. Please consider it a compliment.

FoxySilver Gal: Oh Thank You for your comments and for subbing. Been busy, but have more vids coming soon. Thanks Much. '-)

DrivingFree: @bettymayfield. I’m not sure about the brassieres. It did make my silver really shine

Antoinette Mitchell: hello there my name is Antoinette, I stop perming my hair about year and half ago now I am natural and I like my grey and it's shiny to but I used Cantu products so far but I oil my scalp with Lavender, jojoba, Castro, Olive oil, what is good for grey hair

FoxySilver Gal: LOL. I have a lot more bloopers. I think I'll do one video of nothing but outtakes. I have to laugh at myself when I'm doing these. Thanks so much for your compliments. I appreciate your support. '-)

FoxySilver Gal: Aw Shucks! Thanks girl. '-)

missarcene: It possibly was the protein. You can't leave protein on for too long.

FoxySilver Gal: Yep Girl! When in doubt, check the net (and Youtube) right? Thanks for your comments. ;-)

Nelia Dotson: Hi I just watched for the first time. I was waiting to find out the details on the soda and peroxide. Oh well..

Phyllis Stephens: I want to try this. My roots are grey so I want my whole head grey or silver. So just use baking soda and peroxide

FoxySilver Gal: Hey, thanks. What is Pravana? I'll try to find it and be the guinea. ;-)

dreamweaver822: I have that same hair toy lol,

dreamweaver822: Pravana It's supposed to be a sulfate free shampoo made for gray hair. they sell it on Amazon. Kinda pricey though. Read the reviews.

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks much. '-)

Living Beyond Vision: The protein probably made it hard. Protein makes my hair hard.

FoxySilver Gal: Hey! Correction. Had to look at the vid again. That flower was just a big floppy one that I have, not the metal one. I have so many senior moments lately. Ha!

FoxySilver Gal: Thanks much.

Moebetter Sweety: Looking good. I heard kimmaytube say baking soda is too high ph. For hair lots of alkaline or acid. Check her ph videos. But no yellow I see.

Sarenzo Beauty: it was prob the protein ..... unless your hair is damage or color treated you really do not need to do protein treatments .....

Emmer Smith: yes, I will have to try the baking soda and peroxide, thanks

FoxySilver Gal: Good for you. You won't regret it. I just focus on good hair care and enjoy the results. Actually get a lot of comments on my "color". Thanks for watching. '-)

Ashanta Pinckney: You are wearing that head band

sheshej4: lol
