Hey guys welcome back in today's video you're gon na notice me a little bit heavier a lot fluffier and hella pregnant. So if you don't know well, basically i'm six months and two days pregnant, you will notice that i'm very out of breath and that's okay. I think these are things that come along with pregnancy. They say with pregnancy, you get the urge to just like change things up about yourself and that definitely happened to me. I woke up one day i was like i'm gon na i'm gon na dye, my hair. If it falls off, it falls off i'll, wear a wig, it's okay. So to start off, i want to show you my before picture black beautiful hair love me some black long long, long hair, but it was time for a change. So i've seen these pictures on pinterest, of course, pinterest, which you know i was worried, pinterest versus reality. Most times you get reality versus what you see on pinterest and thankfully i'm happy with my hair and the way it looks. But this inspo picture right here is exactly what i wanted so now you see what i was going for and then, of course this is the after. These are the results that i got soon after three weeks later, but let me show you everything that i bought everything i needed everything that i used now. First things. First, my first step step: one is we're going to use some color zap. So basically i did some research. I was looking for something that wouldn't damage your hair, something that was able to remove color without bleach. That was my intention without bleach, so i did my research and i did find color zap and color oops well with the research. I also seen that color oops is really really smelly and with pregnancy, i'm already like super sensitive to smells. So i stayed you know far far away from that and i decided to go with the color zap, but apparently both do. I guess the job. The same way, i don't know i've never tried the color oops. If you have, maybe you know a little bit more about it. You can leave a comment down below, but yeah. I ended up using five boxes of color zap. Do i think i needed the colors app honestly? I don't think i needed it, but i did use five boxes of color zap. Now i wouldn't be able to tell you this process without saying that i used it, because what, if you try it, you don't use the colors app and then you don't get the results that you or that i have. You know what i mean so definitely just if you're trying to do these steps. Do it the way i did it so that i guess you could achieve the same results. So basically, the colors app removed the black a lot of it actually and when i washed it out, it was really really just like a dark, deep, deep, deep, maroon color. So it did remove the black. It'S not that i'm saying it didn't work. It definitely worked, but maybe because my hair was so dark i was like okay. Is this even doing anything? I ended up leaving that on for about one hour and you know regular, shampoo, regular conditioner and then i did add an extra step to my routine. I added a leave-in conditioner, so i wanted to make sure that during this entire process, i was hydrating my hair and really moisturizing it as much as possible, providing as much conditioner as i could, because i knew this was going to be a hefty project, especially after Seeing that the color zap did not necessarily give me the color that i thought would happen, i don't know. I really thought that it was gon na bring it to a nice little caramelly color, which it did not and that's. Okay, i mean years and years again of black box dye. So that's what happened. We washed it off the shampoo conditioner and then hydrated with a nice leave-in, conditioner and i'll insert clips of the conditioners that i used. Everything that i used amazing feels such a huge difference in my hair, with a few times that i've used those products, so definitely definitely recommend okay, so we were good. We waited a week that second step is here it's time to bleach our hair. Yes, i said bleach, we have to bleach our hair and that's why step number one was so crucial: hydrate, hydrate, hydrate condition oil up your hair and just add as much moisture as you possibly can, so that you can make sure that each section is really getting Saturated and covered each strand is getting saturated. I will say this was a tough project, considering how much hair i do have. I literally have hair for about six people. It goes down to my waist, it's very very thick, a lion's mane here, so it was a lot to work with especially doing it by myself. In a later clip you will see that i ended up needing an extra pair of pants, but for this first bleaching session i ended up just getting the quick blue powder dye along with 30 developer. Once i was able to saturate each section, then i went ahead and left it on for an entire hour. Now they say: leave it on for 30 minutes to one hour. I left it on an hour, so that might have been a lot more damaging. I shouldn't have done that, but i did that was the first time around okay, a week later we're at step three again we're gon na do the same exact process with bleaching we're going to do one scoop of bleach powder and four tablespoons of developer. Well, i'm not saying that i only use one scoop. I hope i'm not miss. You know communicating this because i actually used, i think, a total of about 22 scoops for my entire head, but i'm just kind of giving you the ratio of how much you know powder you need per developer is what i'm trying to say. So we did the whole. You know mixture, but this time around, i made sure to add conditioner to the bleach, because you know i'm bleaching my hair again. This is dangerous. At this point, i'm literally freaking out my heart is beating. I was nervous. I kept telling glenn, i don't know, i don't know, i'm scared to bleach my hair again. I'Ve watched many many horror, you know not movies, but videos about just like hair bleaching and how they damage their hair and how their hair falls out, and that was just terrifying to me. So i made sure not to go that route. I added the conditioner, and here we go, we sectioned the hair. Again we went through we saturated each piece. We just made sure that the bleach was looking nice and pasty. It doesn't look like toothpaste is from what you know. The professionals say it doesn't look like toothpaste on your hair, then you're not doing it right. So i made sure i just glopped it on. I feel like the little brush. Applicator did its job, i mean it did what it could do, but i do also feel like using and massaging the product with. My hands was a lot better because it really saturated each strand and it didn't leave it like as blotchy or patchy as it did. The first time around so you know i was using the brush, but i was also using my hands and just kind of moving it and massaging it into my hair. Now i also added some foils did i mention that the first time i don't know, but i was definitely adding foils to my ends once i saturated all of the hair, so basically the foils are going to act kind of as a heat absorber. You really want, especially when you're bleaching, darker hair, you really want heat to make the product work. I guess the heat is: what makes the product work again, i'm not a professional. This is me just doing what i've seen watching a million videos and deciding to pursue it myself. So don't quote me, i'm not a professional. This is what i did so far. So good the process was going. Amazingly, things were going great, so i thought until you know, i decided to multitask and i decided to do my work at home while leaving the bleach in my hair. Instead of just checking my hair constantly constantly checking your hair, it's very very crucial. Let me repeat that very crucial to continue checking the foils, making sure that your hair is not over processing. That being said, i did damage some areas, so the areas that i left on for an entire hour were the top sections. So i ended up having to cut some bangs they're actually pulled back right now, but i have just curtain bangs right now looked really pretty, but in the moment i was freaking. The heck out, if you don't have black hair, do not even think about leaving bleach on your hair for an entire hour. So that was a big big no-no and i do regret that. But it is what it is. You do you live, you learn and you don't repeat, that's just the rule of thumb. Moving on to the next step, we're going to bleach our roots. I don't think i mentioned it, but one of the most important steps is to not leech your roots. During this entire process, you want to leave your roots for last, and reason being is because you will get hot roots. Your roots are just the most fresh, the newest hair. It doesn't have product on it, so you know bleaching. Your roots will definitely just speed up the process so quickly. You can leave it on for like 15 minutes and you're literally gon na look like a chick, because it's just gon na be like yellow everywhere, and at least that's what happened to me. Even though i waited literally till the last step. Well, one of the last steps to bleach the roots, so here we are, we waited an entire week since that second bleaching right. We waited an entire week because we're not gon na bleach back to back to back right. I hope you guys are like really getting the gist of this, because we don't want to damage our hair. Do we i mean you probably could, if you're a professional, but if you're anyone like me an amateur, then you do not want to bleach your hair back to back. I waited an entire week and during that week, what did we do? We conditioned we hydrated. We you know oiled it up. We made sure to mask it up, leaving conditioners all that jazz, okay, i ended up having to bleach my roots two times and you'll, see that here in an upcoming clip where i actually needed lens help. So that was my extra set of hands that were very crucially needed now, let me say he's not a professional. He has never, i don't think even touched hair dye in his entire life. So him doing this for me was just like and he was so nervous as well. He was like what, if i ruin your hair, what if i'm doing this wrong? I don't know what i'm doing, but i guided him through it. I kind of just helped him through it, and one thing that i wanted to mention is that i don't know if you noticed, but in this clip where he was helping me out, i actually did not wear any gloves, which was a no-no like you never want To bleach your hair and not wear gloves, i did get some hot roots and i did damage some areas where they were like snapping off, but luckily not too much. You know i'm satisfied with just damaging about three percent of my hair versus 100 of my hair or 50 of my hair. So i'm not gon na lie and say: oh, my hair is perfect, it's not dry. No, it's very very you know dry right now, but luckily it's not like, or i can't brush it, where i'm too scared to brush it. It'S not snapping off it's just more so dry. Once the bleach was in my hair for about 15, i would say: 20. 25 minutes i went ahead and washed it off. I conditioned it. I deep conditioned it, but this time around, i did not add any like leave-in conditioners, any oil treatments any like hair masks. Nothing like that. I just made sure to deep condition, while in the shower and then rinse it all off now. A very, very important factor that i don't think i mentioned is that when washing your hair from the bleach, you never want to go in with like freezing cold water. Um, i know a lot of people say that you should, because it's supposed to be good for your hair. Well, now i'm working with bleach - and i learned this from brad mondo - he actually talked about not going in with really cold water. You should actually go in with lukewarm water when washing out any bleach from your hair, because the last thing you want to do is shock your hair because then you'll get like worse results. So i definitely followed that rule. I did not wash my hair with cold water; in fact it was just lukewarm, so lukewarm water rinsed it all off and called it a day so on to the final step, we're going to go ahead and deposit the color that we desire. Finally, we're done with the bleaching process and we get to finally add some color make ourselves look a little bit better um with the whole bleaching process. I will say there were lighter areas, darker areas which i think in turn helped with the dimension. So as you'll look at my hair you'll see that it's not all necessarily one color, there's darker red there's lighter reds, there's a little bit of orange there's a little bit of everything going on now. This is just the first application of the vegan hair dye that i used, so the hair dye that i decided to go with initially was actually the l'oreal high color highlights. So for years and years and years. I really wanted to use this product. I think back. Nine years ago, when i seen nicole guerrero talk about her red hair and how she used that l'oreal high color highlights in whatever magenta to like redo her hair. So ever since i knew i really wanted one day to have that color now, instead of the magenta, the one that i bought was actually in copper because, like i said, i want to be a little ginger for once in my life, it's just so pretty. I think gingers are just adorable and with just fair skin, you look amazing, i mean even dark girls. Every one really looks really pretty in ginger hair, with evaluating my hair, seeing and going through it and noticing how dry it was how damaged it was. I knew that i had to take a break. The colors that i ended up using were cajun spice by adore and orange blaze, so every bottle of cajun spice, i would add a bottle of orange blaze and then an equal part of conditioner. So, every time that i added any product into my hair, i made sure to make the mixture with conditioner. Just just as i was you know just hydrating, my hair as much as possible. So that's what i did. I ended up using one whole bottle on my roots. As you see, my roots were like super super orangey, yellow whatever color, that was very, very intense, they're called hot roots, and so i knew i needed to take the darkest color that i had and apply that all over my roots. First, before doing the concoction of the orange blaze with the cajun spice with conditioner, so all over my roots, you're gon na see just cajun spice. That'S it cajun spice, it's nice and gingery, but not too bright, not too orangey, and that's what i wanted, because we needed to tone down that craziness. I was worried. I wasn't sure if that was going to work out, but it did. Fortunately, that is everything that i ended up using doing this entire process. I know very lengthy, a lot of info, but i will make sure to add a reminder like tab as well as a price list of everything i ended up, using how much everything cost that way you can have like a reference point. I guess, and you can compare, how much hair i have and kind of get an idea of what it would be to do something like this yourself. You know what i mean is every day,

nami !: this is such a well organized and helpful video, thank you so much!! ur editing is so bomb and ur hair turned out gorgeous, i can't wait to try this

Jackie Bris: Congratulations and LOVE the hair, I didn’t see anyone mention to you that when your pregnant sometimes products like bleach, relaxer’s and textures don’t work as well on your hair when your not pregnant for some reason. Went through the same thing when I was pregnant, something about hormone changes may affect your hair so the results may not be what you normally expect.

Charleigh Marie: This is the most informative, helpful video I could find here on YouTube. Currently going from dark to ginger and this video has helped me a lot. Thankyou x

M K: I've been a bottle ginger now for about 3 years...I love it ❤

Giovana Cardoso: Good morning ☀️, hi I just found your channel , I really love this hair color. It’s beautiful, I just have a question, is it safe to dye your hair when you are pregnant? Everyone around me says it isn’t safe, but I also heard that you can dye your hair with amônia free hair dye. So yeah that’s my question☺️♥️

Nina Amb: Shouldn't you not bleach your hair while being pregnant or am wrong? However the end result is absolutely stunning!

AngelaRoseS: Aweee my whole pregnancy I didn't do anything they told me not to bleach my hair at all throughout my pregnancy

Justina Lynn: You're so pretty, I can't stop watching you LOL

Vanessa Angrisani: You should check out fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.

Katelyn Urbanek: Okay I love how it turned out! However! High color highlights literally lightens and deposits color at the same time! I think you should’ve just used that instead of the bleach! Cause in all actuality you just lightened your hair again which is why you ended up with hot roots unfortunately and if you wanted to leave it in that long next time go with a 20 vol or less! 30 vol just blows open your hair shaft

Amber Wilson: It looks amazing!!! I unfortunately before seeing this video purchased ion copper blonde hair dye… Do you think that would be sufficient enough???

Gorgeous Niina: Hello how long does the color last? Or does it fade away?

Katelyn Urbanek: Okay I love how it turned out! However! High color highlights literally lightens and deposits color at the same time! I think you should’ve just used that instead of the bleach!
