Hi guys welcome back to another video, so today we're going to be doing a color correction, so a little previous kind of background story. Before we start. This is my client she had moved about a year ago and when she had moved she had went somewhere else to go dark and, as you guys could tell, she's got some really bright pieces up on top and then down here below she's got some red in Here and then she's got some really harsh orange and red down at the bottom, but she got this done about eight weeks ago. Obviously, she's not happy, so we're going to be fixing it today and even in here, she's got some really bright gold pieces that are brassy and then just at the bottom she's got that really harsh orange and red up on top is all versions. So you can kind of tell that's the reason why it lifted good. But let's go ahead and get started on this, so i'm going to be doing a partial on her and the reason why is because down below, especially at the bottom of her hair in the back underneath she lift at she lifted really well. And you could tell that the last person who did this started there first, just because the processing time was longer so those process really well, but here up on top she's very brassy still and has a lot of red right where the transition with the balayage and The ombre kind of began, so all i'm going to be doing, is going in with the back to back baby light just to make that transition a little bit more better for bleach. I am using my schwarzkopf blondie, as most of you guys do know. That is my go-to and i'm using just a 20 volume up here and i am using oplex. We got to keep that hair super healthy, so i'm using about 1 8 of an ounce of olaplex in that bleach. Also too, i really wanted to mention something really quick. So in my last video i also did kind of a color correction and a lot of you guys, especially my subscribers. You guys gave me some great feedback and said that you guys loved it, and i really appreciate helping you guys learn, especially all you new hairstylists. Now there was a lot of comments as well in that section that weren't, the greatest and friendliest, and as on my channel, i really like to um keep a lot of positivity on my channel. I, like i, just like to help people learn and i do accept criticism. So if you have anything that you want to tell me or that i could do better. I appreciate that. But when it comes to tearing me down and tearing other hair stylists down as well, your comment is just going to get deleted, so please be respectful in the comments um. I had somebody that posted something very nasty saying that i wasn't as great as these other youtube hairstylists like guy tang and all these people. Guy ting is an amazing hairstylist he's like one of the best, so you know nothing towards him, but these people, i feel like just look at these big other hair stylists and they had the nerve to say that my work was okay and that i wasn't on That level every hair stylist is different guys every hairstylist learns different. Every hair stylist goes into a new client and their hair and does something different. Not every hair. Stylist is the same. Not everybody has the same hair. So please respect that. Please respect also me as well just because i'm just trying to help other people learn so please be respectful in the comments and also too the mask. I cannot get over this if you have the nerve to say something about me wearing a mask or me not wearing a mask. Please do not comment because if you comment you're, just you're going to get deleted you're going to get blocked, i wear my mask to protect others, including my client as well, and if you don't like it or if you do, i don't care. I don't want to see anything more of that. I know that we are in a pandemic and i do keep very clean after my clients, my studio, everything about it so um. This is just for the people that want to learn we're not here to argue over. The coronavirus, so please respect that guys. So now i'm going to be starting off on the other side and i'm just going to be doing the same thing that i did on that first side going to be taking some slices, some baby lights, just to kind of break up a lot of that color And also to just to make a better blend so also some details about this - that i want to go ahead and mention to you guys, because i know i'm going to get asked, but the price range. So for my pricing with color corrections, color corrections can range from about 280 to about 350. Sometimes it could even be more on that just depending on what i have to do, but my client today paid almost about 300 for everything, but she also brought product. Keep that in mind. I do sell the vanilla, no orange and i do sell the vanilla, no yellow. I highly recommend that if you are in cosmetology school or if you own, your own salon sell that product, because that product just goes a long way, especially with your clients. You know it makes you feel better, that your clients are using a professional brand, and you know that they're not using drugstore, shampoo and conditioners. As we know as professionals. We know that it's super important for our clients to use professional, shampoo and conditioners, and that way when they come in, you know that their hair is going to be in good condition. So i highly recommend that you sell those products guys also to my time for today, so this took me about close to almost five hours to do her hair today, um when it comes to color corrections, i like to be kind of slow, i'm going to admit That, just because i want to make sure that i get everything right, i want to make sure that i fix what i have to fix now, as you guys will see later on in the video when i saturate those ends. I had left her for almost an hour now, like i said the previous um before the previous person that did her hair. When she had went dark, they had put a ton of red in her hair and that red i'm not gon na lie red is a super hard color to get out of the hair, especially with my client. For some reason, her hair was just being really stubborn and that color just took a little bit different and she even still kind of had a lot of warmth but you'll see at the end of the video and you'll see on how i tackle that. But it took me about almost five hours to do so, starting in the front as well. I'M going to be doing the same thing just taking that partial going in with some really light, baby lights and some slices, and i'm just going to be making a better transition, and i'm also going to be doing this on the other side. I might not show it, but i just want to let you guys know it's literally the same thing that i was doing to the back just in the front. Okay, so now starting off in the back, all i'm going to be doing is balayaging these ends. Now we got to get rid of that red and that orange and just all that brassiness now. This is the only way that we're going to be able to do that. Unless she wanted to stay dark, then i would probably just go in with a really cool tone to cancel out a lot of that orange, but she wants to go lighter and we have to break through it. So that's the only reason why i'm going to reapply that bleach to the ends. Now i'm just going to be taking a couple pieces and then going in with some foil and foiling it. It'S super important that we foil um this these bottom parts. That way, they could lift that foil is going to help the hair lift and also too i did move up a developer in my blonde me and i'm going to be using a 30 now, especially on these ends. Now, when balayaging i'm not going to be taking this any higher, because i don't want an unleaven, it lift. So all i'm going to be doing is kind of feathering it a little bit above to where you could see that transition line begins, but mostly just trying to get rid of that red. Now, i'm going to be doing this all around throughout the hair. Whatever is left out and then i will be letting her sit, probably for about close to 45 minutes and i'll just keep on checking just to make sure the hair is doing. Okay, let me warm you up baby, please! Let me warm you up baby, please. Let me love you much baby enjoy baby. Now, let me warm you up baby, please! Let me love you much uh, okay, guys, so i got done foiling and everything else and these little pieces because she already kind of had that money piece from the previous hairstylist. All i did was kind of just lighten them a little bit just because she wanted those pieces lighter. I balayaged those ends and they're now in foil and now we're just going to be letting her sit for close to about an hour to 45 minutes. So now for toner, i am going to be toning. Her two different tones now, as you guys, can see that top lifted to about a level eight and she's super yellow. Now, for this top part, i'm just going to be toning, her with redken shades, eq, 8 and 7n. I'M just going to use some neutrals in there. That 7n is going to drop it a little bit down, but that 8n is still going to keep some lightness in there. Now, as you guys, can see, i'm literally just toning, that top part wherever um she lifted. You know lighter than the bottom and then what we'll be doing is going in with another toner and toning, the bottom half okay. So i forgot to tell you guys as well so right before i was about to rinse her. I had looked at the foils and that bottom half was still so orangey, so i had reapplied and i went in with just a 40 volume and i only left her out for about maybe like 10 minutes, and then i rinsed her all right so now. For those mid shaft to ends, as you guys can see, she lifted super warm still. She'S got some orange still in there, not as much red but a lot of orange. So now i'm just going to be using redken shades, eq and 8vb, which is a violet blue base, and i'm also going to be using an 8n to add some neutral in there to match the top. Now. The reason why that violet blue base is going that i'm using it is because it's going to cancel a lot of that warmth. As we know, when we look at the color wheel, we know that blue cancels out orange and violet cancels out yellow in any type of warm tones. So that's the reason why i'm going to be using that i love that redken shades eq, because sometimes it's super pigmented and that vb really really works and, as you guys could tell here in a minute um now that i'm just rubbing that toner in it's super Important that you want to make sure that you get that toner in there really make sure that you mix it all throughout the hair. That way that hair takes completely to the toner. Don'T forget the bottom as well, but, as you guys could see, even when i lift it up just like right now, you guys could already tell that that warmth is already starting to get kind of taken away. So that's what i love about: redken shades, because they're super pigmented at times, and now i'm just going to leave this in her toner for almost 10 minutes foreign. So now for the fun part, i'm going to be using my vanilla, no orange shampoo. I love finola and i love using purple and blue shampoos. Now she does have a lot of hair, so i'm just going to go ahead and saturate all throughout the hair um and the reason why i'm going to do this is because we don't. We know that she had a lot of orange previously and even though we lifted her, she does not like those warmer tones, so the snow or the snow. Orange shampoo from vanilla is really going to cool it down and it has a really strong blue base in it, including violet. So it's going to help cancel out a lot of those warmer tones. Now, i'm just going to saturate this all throughout her hair and i'm going to be leaving this in for about a minute. Okay. So this is the finished look. I hope that you guys enjoyed this video, don't forget to like comment and subscribe to my channel guys, but this looks just so much more better than she came in with, as you guys could tell. She got a little bit more of a better blend now she does have a little bit of warmth in there just a tiny bit, but within time that's gon na go away, but i hope that you all enjoyed this video and i will be back with more Videos bye guys

Ashley A Garcia: Thank you guys for all the positive feedback I appreciate it! Remember if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say it at all✌ this definitely isn’t our first and last session she’s got plenty of more work to be done but at least it looks better than what she came in with

Kathryn Luiz: I’ve been a hairstylist over 20 years, constantly taking classes, especially during Covid. Watching your videos and really absorbing your advice and enthusiasm has made this pandemic more bareable. You’re an excellent hairstylist and SHAME on those idiots who cannot see that. Anabelle Castillo: I am sorry to hear you received negative comments. I am in cosmetology school right now and ur videos are so inspiring. Keep up the good work and do not pay attention to the haters.

Bethany Slatcoff: Looks amazing! You can go in with a toner over the teases certain to cancel the warmth that has been back combed up that’s been a game changer for me Wet balayage at the shampoo bowl will really help bush that last little warmth out Looks amazing , still looks super healthy which is a first priority. Love love love

Crissa Volhontseff: Hi Ashley, I’m not a hairdresser and I came across your video because I’ve been looking for ways to color my own hair at home. I live in an area where we are not able to get our hair done due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My hair is brunette, curly and fine. I’ve noticed after months of not getting my hair colored (to cover the gray) it turns red! I’m hoping that I can do my own hair even after the pandemic is over. Because I’m not a hairdresser I don’t know what a toner is and how to use it? Thank you for sharing your time and talent to help others to learn how improve the look of their hair.

Mandy Goodman: You got this girl!! Don’t worry about those that just like to put everything and everyone down! I love watching your videos! I’ve been a hairstylist for 23 years and you can ALWAYS learn something new!!

Ana P.: Ashley I love you!!! You are great at what you do and I always learn so much from you. I actually have a client that needs color correction in a couple of weeks!! Please keep doing what you are doing. Those haters think you are great but are clearly jealous cuz no one looks to them for knowledge about hair and color techniques.

Gabriella S.: I am currently in Cosmetology school and your video’s are so helpful! Thank you for explaining everything so well

FANOLA: That is such a beautiful color! Loved seeing the entire process and thank you for creating with Fanola!

Bri Paulina: Preach girl! You’re amazing at what you do! I’ve learned a lot

Cathy Howell: You did a great job on this color correction considering what you had to work with! I watch tutorials from many different hairstylists such as Guy Tang, Alexis Mae, etc... + I really enjoy watching your work just as much. As I watched this video I caught a few glimpses of your hair + I love the color. I've been wanting to do a balayage touch up with a root stretch + color melt on myself for a while but I can't decide which shades eq colors to use for my base, then miss + ends. Could you let me know which ones you used to get that look? Keep up the great work + stay safe, Thanks, Cathy

T O R I: So pretty !! I love it , you are so inspiring and have motivated me so much to work on my techniques and now I want to start filming my own work !! ‍♀️ Keep it up girl, you are awesome!!

FER GUZMAN: I’m a cosmetology student & I love your work!! & I love watching your videos because they help me understand more about color

Mz Travia: Absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed every bit of this tutorial. You explain everything very well. New Subbie

Christina: I love your vids so much!! So educational, thank you for explaining why you take certain steps, pricing, TIMING!!! My fav hair YouTuber

Vanessa: I'm a hairstylist I've been learning as much as I can through different videos. For some reason you're one I can watch that I get the "ah haa" moments, and . I like to know how long it takes other stylists to achieve the look as well(on other videos that aren't color correction). Also it's more realistic for me because we use a lot of the same hair color lines. Your personality is great. Not annoying to listen to at all : D. If I only could watch one person do color like balayage, foilyage, melts and so on Id pick you for sure. Im ready for more videos!!

Lorraine: So happy that I found you You are amazing and thank you for sharing your knowledge. Also thank you for keeping your clients safe

Ricksy19: So beautiful! THANK you for sharing all your videos These are very helpful, even for a hairdresser in Denmark I like especially when you explain what you do, why you do and how you do while showing your techniques. How long it takes and what products you are using ..basically nothing is missing!

Amelia Bacani: I really liked how you explained the redken shades, what the letters meant and why you were using it. Most stylists do not do that and sometimes I wonder why they chose certain toners and how it all works together

Liz Tapia: Omg you are incredible with your work! I always learn something new from you. Don’t ever let those haters stop you cause your are amazing ❤️

Hannah Hill: Preach sister! Keep doing you, always making your clients beautiful ❤️

Ruth A / aka Monica: People are MISERABLE in their own skin and delight in bringing others despair in any way they can YOU ARE DOING GREAT Bless YOU!

Priscilla Nieto: Yes! Thank you for properly showing how to use blue to counteract orange. I see so many ppl use purple to counteract orange and of course nothing happens to those orange pieces.

Magaly: wow love it how the toner started changing... amazing!! Love it!!

Katie Powell: This looks so amazing! My only question is how much of the 8VB & 8N did you use, was it equal parts like 2 oz to 2oz?

Gladis Moreno: So pretty I kind of struggle with toners sometimes but you always explain it pretty good so I learn from your videos everytime

Paula n: You’re such a good person! Please don’t pay attention to those comments you don’t deserve them people think they can be rude just because their behind a screen. Pd: I would love if you make a video about what you did on your hair it’s so beautiful!!!

Stephanie Torres: beautiful job on this!!! 5 hours is what it would take me for a color correction also!..would you be able to do a video on retail? love the work youre awsome!

Erica Rae's Way: Love the end result! Great job!

Amanda Maestas: do you personalize (color) your extensions to match ur hair? or do you buy them to match. I recently purchased Bombay extensions and was curious as to how well they would take to being altered.

John Iaffaldano: I love what you did. I think you do incredible work. We all have our own style and way we do hair. I commute to Manhattan to do hair and the main adjective is getting to the final result. I use the analogy, some people get into the city by train some by car some by limousine but the main objective is the goal of getting into the city. Thats what matters. Guy Tang has his style and you have yours. As long as you get to the correct result thats whats matters. Please keep making your videos I enjoy them . By the way I've been doing hair for 37 years....

Tracy: So pretty! Great job! ❤️

Maria Morales: Hi Ashley I really enjoy your creativity your beauty and your sense of style!

BlackThorndRose: I just found your channel recently... and I’ve just been watching videos based on what I’m interested in learning more about and your work is amazing, truly! I wanted to ask you what foils do you use? I like that they’re on the larger side (looks like you cut them that way?) but they just look comfortable to work with if that makes sense, and sturdy too. I often use the Framar, but I always like testing new things.

Liz Cardenas: Looks great!! Thank you for the information. I struggle with getting the warm tones out of hair.

sushblush: i'm sorry to hear that people feel the need to say such nasty things in the comments. you're doing a great job with these videos and please keep them coming! there is thousands of us that actually love you channel and are here to support. ignore the haters. they are just jealous they don't have your skills

mohammad shahab: Thanks so much for sharing this video. I always enjoy watching your videos and I have learned much from your techniques

Gabby Precil: Hi ashley, Just wanted to say that you are so respectful and so kind to the people who are so judge mental of hairstylist and leave those nasty, distasteful comments. I graduated from Paul Mitchell a couple months ago and I just want to say you are such an inspiration to me and I’ve learned so much from you keeping the amazing hairstylist that you are ❤️❤️

Rocio Molina: Thank you Ashley for your knowledge and art It’s beautiful. Cosmologist student here.

Fatima Avila: Beautiful transformations always

Dyeyanik Rodriguez: hey!! love this. do you use the blue shampoo after toning on purpose or do you sometimes put blue or purple shampoo before toning to act as a pre tone?

L T: I’m new in this hair thing and its is a little scary! But definitely support you here and IG.

Marina Garcia: Hi Ashley, I have a question, does eq’s can be apply on dry hair? Thanks Ashley for taking your time to answer my questions.

Ana Banana: Love your videos, they have helped me out so much! Just a quick question is there a reason why you fold your foils this way?

Felika Yonze: You're videos are so informative and honest! I like your style

Susan Maroulis: Looks great- thank you for the information!

Monika K: The colour change is amazing. This is exactly my hair hair, I wanted to know did you mix the the two toners in the one for the bottom half?

Becky O: This is so relaxing to watch. Great job!

Xian Tam: You’re awesome hair stylist Keep up the good work, loved your channel

Tracy Manzi: You tell them girl! Some people need ‘correction’ too.

Mayra Perez: Your honesty my favorite youtube hairstylist. Love your videos and how u explain everything and show everything. Keep posting please

Denise Ascencio: You are a great hairdresser!!! Don’t believe negative people. I have learned so much from you. Thank you!

Ss Ss: You have done ur best getting rid of that brassy colour. As hair dresses we know how hard n frustrated we get when we see these colours come up.And people think we are doing magic not knowing we are all dependng on products which works differently with each hair as texture pigments are different. So don't you worry about what people have to say as long as the client is happy that's what matters sweet.. And every stylist is different how they work. Also to get s color right every hairdresser or even the manufacturers do so many try out before they conclude with the final results how it turns out to be. And as hair dresses we try so many different techniques, stages color to get it right. Only if they know how we try to work it out even in sleep . I often tell my husband at night may I should have done this way or the other .so he asks me fo u wanna go n do it now.

Minerva m Wilson: First time watching you!!! Great results.. love the outcome.. I’d be happy to pay you any amount as long as I get what I ask. I don’t think 300 was a lot.. she had long hair.. as far as NEGATIVE comments.. that’s just any social media unfortunately it comes with the territory.. I wouldn’t even bother acknowledging them! Your awesome

Marina Garcia: Hi Ashley, I just want to tell u that u r awesome. I'm learning a lot from you by watching your videos. Can you tell me what happend when you do highlights and you tone them but you end up not liking it. can you use a different toner on top of the one that you had apply before?

Ɗ α ı ꜱ ƴ ✿: I have very long black hair and recently went to a salon asking for a balayage. I have only put color in my hair ONE other time in my life which was years ago. Anyway, going in with my natural long black hair, it was easier for her to work with. She put “blonde” highlights which turned brassy orange. I now have black, brown hair with super brassy orange highlights. It’s looks nothing like what we had spoken about (which she has mentioned was super doable) How would you suggest fixing this?

Cookin Healthy with Hayley: your amazing keep up the good work don't worry about any bad comments , they have issues if they put you down ❤

lupe arroyo: Love how you show step by step what you do and use i have learn from you

Dareen TV: Yes sweetie l'm with you always delete nasty comments, actually put it on review first so it won't be published until you agree to it, you are an amazing artist,l have learned alot from you, you deserve the best, all this comments are out of jealousy . Big respect sister ❤️❤️

Leeli Garcia: Omg yes!!! I’ve been waiting for another video !!!! You are literally the reason I’m going to cosmetology school after I get my Bachelors degree

Abigail Urbina: I love your videos ❤️so helpful !

Vanessa Martinez: I really want to get my hair done by you! What’s the best way to keep my hair healthy until then?

Ice Queen: Lovely and detailed work ❤️❤️❤️

Megan- -Bcfc: This looks like my hair now I can’t wait to do it

Lesley Morley: Lovley love the way also that you tell us why your using which toner to counteract different tones this helps very much .. Thanku Ashley

anna olijnyk: First of all I cannot believe that you have had to defend your technique and secondly that you have had to shut people down complaining about the use of masks! Unbelievable! You did that really well! I have a question. I work alone and my foiling is slow. How long were you able to leave your first foils in because I feel for sure I would be having to rinse them out by the time I'd finished doing the front!

Mae Lara: I like the technique that you used that seems will save me time instead of balayaging the full head

Roxie Forde: Absolutely Beautiful!!

Bad Betty: Very pretty - good job!

Manila S Samek: Thank you for your tips that help a lot .

PamPam: Awesome job love your work!

cher Lynn: Awe, I'm so sorry, there are so many unhappy people in this world that have nothing better to do than be mean to others, don't let them get to you! You do beautiful work and radiate kindness ❤️

Alma Fonte: Well said! Great content love your videos

Amy Jackman: I’ve just started out have my own little salon in my garden at home love watching you all the way from the
