jonny koch & annie sollange- love me

ellis- clear my head

Hey guys, it's a sling, it's a different setup, I'm using my vlogging camera, I'm dying Abbie's hair today, as you guys have seen in a previous video, we did red to orange. It'S been almost a month since we've dyed her hair, she's gone swimming and washes a bunch, and basically she wants brown hair, so we're gon na dye, her hair Brown. Today, I almost didn't film this just because I just didn't want to. I decided to film it because she does have like vibrant red orange hair and we're going Brown. I thought. Maybe it would be helpful for you guys, because I know a lot of people do this. They have bright colored hair and then they want to go Brown. So I thought I'd film it for you guys. Normally I would go to Sally Beauty, but that is 30 minutes away from me. So it's 30 minutes there, 30 minutes back, I'm not trying to do that today. I didn't want to go there, so we got box dye from Walmart. If you have a problem with box dye, you can click on this video right, the [ __ ]. Now I did try to get the higher end box. Dye color is color. The only difference between box dye and color at Sally's is color at Sally's has more like conditioning ingredients in it. So it is a little bit better for your hair, but at the end of the day, it's color and developer, no matter where you're getting it at. I did get L'Oreal color, because L'Oreal is owned by Redken. Redken is a professional hair color, so I got L'Oreal since they're owned by Redken. This is like pretty much the same thing as a professional product, just repackaged differently in sold at Walmart. Instead of being sold to licensed cosmetologist because your hair is still very vibrant, i got a level 5 c. So that's cool. It'S like anti brass, and i think this has a blue undertone and then I got 6a, which has a green undertone. So the green is going to cancel out the red. The blue is going to cancel out the orange, so we're gon na do this. So I'm just gon na mix these two up equally and apply it all over her hair. I might have to dye it one more time after this we'll see how it turns out, but because her hair is still so vibrant. I wanted to stick with all cool tones so that way it would cancel out and neutralize the red and orange she has in her hair. So I'm gon na go ahead and mix these two colors up just equally, both bottles together and then we're going to go ahead and apply it to her hair. We just mix one and two together and then put it on this is permanent color. By the way. That'S going to help cover the bright red a little bit more than if I was going to use, add mi, permanent and permanent color gives your hair a little bit more shine. Okay, I'm going to dump both of these into a bowl and mix it together and apply it with a bowl and brush. So I'm gon na start up here at the roots, because this is where she is the brightest at. So I'm gon na go through and apply it all the way on her roots and then we'll go ahead and drag it down and apply everything to her end after because her ends are all so porous. It'S going to suck up the color a lot quicker than her roots will and again her roots are way brighter than her ends, so we're gon na leave those out to last all right, we're gon na. Let this sit for 30 minutes and then we'll be back to show you what it looks like. We might have to do one more round of brown or this could take care of it and we could be done so I'll see you guys once we're done. Processing. Okay, so here is what we wound up with her. Regrowth is now like a burgundy color and then her ends are more of like a muddy brown, which is exactly what would have happened. Her ends are more porous, they weren't as red as up here. So now we just have to color correct one more time, so we went back to the store. We got demi-permanent dye this time because we want deposit only because last time the permanent dye did not cover her regrowth. So I want to make sure that gets covered. This is Clara and it's in 5a, so a level five Ashe, so that is gon na go all over where her red is just again using Ashe to cancel out the rest of the red tones and then for her ends. They are pretty muddy. I have some colors left over from a while ago. I have six n, 7n b and 5g - i'm not going to be using the 5g I'm going to be using mostly 7nb, which is a level seven neutral Brown and then I'm going to add a little bit of 6n, which is just a neutral level. Six, I'm going to be applying the 5a to her roots first again, because it's more vibrant and pigmented. We want to cover this first, her enzyme reports so we'll go ahead and apply this color after we get done doing her roots. Just can't, let you go. Lord knows that I've tried to you said I was the only one. No one likes being lied to you made this mess and let me with the pieces now I wan na burn all the bridges between us all right. Everything'S applied we're gon na leave it on. For 20 minutes, and then I'll see you guys once everything's rinsed and we can see what it looks like it looks like it's doing really good this time. So fingers crossed this works and it comes out great. So I'll see you guys in around 20 minutes. Okay, we're back here is hammer here turned out. It turned out really really good. It'S all. Even it's all one color! It'S like a perfect chocolate brown shade. So this is a success, very happy. We'Re done with it I'll like spin her around. So you guys can see the full 360 of her hair you. That is all for today's video. I hope you guys enjoyed it and I hope you guys appreciate me taking the time to film it for you, because I did it just for you guys in case you have red, hair or orange hair, and you wanted to go Brown. I just wanted to make this give the video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it. I love you guys so much and until next time guys stay weird goodbye right.

Nass J: I'm kind of sad she's leaving the red behind, but she probably has her reasons. She looks amazing both ways

The Larkins: I’m a hairstylist and I can agree with your box dye theory lol PEOPLE CALED ME CRAZY!

Dayna Brailey: Finally a video where the red wasn't removed first. Every time I try to look it up it says they either used bleach or color pops to remove the red first. I wanted to see results without lightening from red so this was super helpful.

Kendall Webster: She looks so good in that color!! It compliments her skin so well!

Aliza Dawood: Ur so pretty without makeup omg and ur skin is flawlesssssss

Livi Carter: Why is it that hair always looks healthier when it’s a darker colour? Loved this ❤️

Elizabeth Torres: I love how you explain everything! I didn’t even know box dye had tones. I’m red rn and was planning to go brown as well :-)

xoRobynnn: To be fair I actually really notice a difference when I use ‘professional’ versus ‘box dye’ my hair is in significantly far better condition than it was when I did use box dyes. They always put such a high volume developer with the colour

Lyana The SumoChick: Thank you for uploading this even tho you originally didn't intend to. It's so hard to find professional information to go from bright colors back to "normal" colors. I'm not planing to give up my green hair just yet, but hey, who knows when there be the moment I get sick of it, right?

Marika Marks: It liked alot better after some washes! When it was fresh u could still see the red. After it was washed it was a beautiful color brown!

Yoot: Finally someone that doesn't have a irrational hate hard on for box dye! *cough*Brad*cough*

Colleen Conti: I'm glad that there is at least one person out there that is ok with box dye. I dyed my hair black with box dye for years and it worked pretty damn well. Dont get me wrong, it was a pain to get out and ill never be blonde again but it does the job for less, especially when you have short hair and can use one box

Antonella: I never thought I'd be jealous of someone's brown hair (considering that's my natural hair color and now I have blue hair) but it just looks stunning on her! Good job!

_Danielle_ 2020: Its like a breathe of fresh air here.. no drama.. just the way i like it.. too much drama on peoples channels and im tired of listening to it i love watching ur videos.. so satisfying and relaxing ❤

JessicaLarsenHair: Just so you know. L'oréal owns Redken, not the other way around. I work for L'oréal. L'oréal is one of the oldest hair brands out there. They own Redken, Matrix, Pureology, PulpRiot, Mizani and many more. :)

itsjusthen: Wow, I literally had the same shade of red in my hair last week and went brown for ID and passport photos. I put 3 boxes of Ion semi permanent brown and 1 box of their black to try to get brown. I got similar to what you got her to after the first round and deemed it good enough for pictures (looked dark brown/black in photos, purple/wine in real life). I wish I got the same final result as you did though. I'm fading it now and it's fading to a plum purple in top to a silver on bottom. Looks pretty cool tbh. Still wish I had managed to get the brown though.

All About Anita: Thank you for not being one of those stylists that act like box die is toxic. I had my stylist years ago tell me to keep using the box dye cause it worked well and it’s cheaper that way.

Re Van: "If you have a problem with box dye you can click out of this video right the fuck now"....love you girl! keepin' real like always <3

Amber Eyes: Ugh had my red for a few years and decided this summer to go back to brown so my hair could take a break from all the damage lol. This is extremely helpful! Thank you for filming it

Zoe: Holy heck the colour after a few washes is everything and Abby is so gorgeous in every in colour!

ymctjmt: I love how Aislinn shares with us how she doesn't really want to film things all the time but she does it just for our benefit ♥️what a sweetheart

Tori Summers: She looks great! Chocolate brown suites her well!

Blaketopher: Aislinn looks good without makeup... Am I right or am I right

Brittany Thompson: I'm always surprised how the texture of your hair changes compared to the beginning of the video to afterwards. Since March I've experimented with different colours and had to go back to brown to give my hair a bit of a break. You did an awesome job as always love you ❤

Eugenita: Abby looks so gorgeous!!! I was hoping to see this transformation. Thank you!

Kathleen Ryan: I have used TONS of different boxed dyes, and have had the best balance of staying power vs not frying my hair with Garnier Nutrisse.

inktwin9: I don't think I have seen anyone who is just as beautiful without her makeup as she is with her makeup. Yup that's YOU. I love your videos. I have learned so much from you.

heidithepotter: I love all of your videos, you inspired me to finally try a bright blue strip of hair that I have been wanting to do for ages. Thanks for the quality hair videos Aislinn❤️

Mell M.S.: I am honestly a big lover of dark hair. Being a natural redhead would be change for me but I will eventually make it! I love brown hair for her

Bethann Prather: I've been box dying my hair brunette with Loreal for years. I get compliments all the time. It's a good brand

Robyn Werling: I appreciate you doing this! It would be easy to assume you could just throw brown all over fashion colors and it would cover no problem! Nice to see the whole process :)

Shayne Stephens: To have you do my hair sometime would be just a huge blessing I love what you do with bright colors and I am just sooo busy. Trying find time to do my own is a pain ‍♂️

Lynn Briggs: I seriously appreciate this video!! Great results and good to see Abby !! x

Kerri Simonsen: After she had her hair washed a couple times it looked more brown than an auburn brown color. Either color though looked really pretty on her. And that picture you showed of Abby was SOOOO PRETTY! she’s absolutely gorgeous just like you!

Jennifer1987 87: I've been mixing yellow, green ,red and orange of Arctic fox to get natural colors and its amazing! I like mixing the semi-permanent dyes because if I want my hair bright pink next month it's easy to get out.

Cathy Xoxo: Tbh every time I used to use box dye I’d just swap out their developer with 10-20v I get at Sally’s my hair always came out more healthier ‍♀️

Macy R: You're looking nice and tan! Hope you're doing well and enjoying the summer weather Abby is looking cute as always, great work and thanks for the video

Nicole Shannon: Love that you did this without stripping the color!!!!! So many people are so quick to grab the bleach or color remover!!! Great alternative!!! Thank you for this!!

Assault_N_Spice: Hey girl- So i used to always just decide on a color and buy whatever box dye to make it happen. BUT- since ive been watching your videos, Ive learned so much about undertones and the color wheel! This last time i dyed my roots black again i actually looked for a blue black amd its fading sooo much better! Thanks for your enlightenment lol

deVautour: Thank you for this! I have had dark shades for a while and want to go orange as long as I could go back to brown later

Laurie W.: That's so pretty! I love that you showed how to use a box dye to color correct. Awesome.

Jessica Johnson: Yass for the box dye! I color my hair black, I get grey hair and I am just not ready for that yet so every 4 weeks I color over those roots and it has never done me wrong! My hair is very healthy and happy!

nepherteri75: Thank you sooooo much for this video. I have tried everything and this is amazing!!

Mason Steele: Your videos are so helpful. Even though I’ll probably never have brown hair, I’ve learned so much from you just by watching videos like these.

Blaidemaiden: I used to die my hair various shades of red (from copper to auburn) with bix dye all the time. I thought it looked great. It is good to have a video of going back to a more natural color. I may have to do that soon if I have to go job hunting (long story).

Megan: I am officially taking this as a sign to start the process of stripping my hair! (had already been thinking of it today) to eventually go brown. She's so pretty!

Christine: what a beautiful brown that turned out to be! I am sure in a month or so she will be ready to do some crazy colors again! Maybe after swimming season? lol

Adilé: Currently have brown semi processing in my hair lol. I bleached my bangs and split dye them, before I had half color half natural so im coloring the half that was colored brown to match the other side. I eventually am going to use permanent, but I wanted to run through my semi first. This is definetly helpful!

Sìlvèr Fòx: I'm dying my hair back to my original color "dark brown" and this video showed me that dark brown can cover reddish/ blondish hair. My hair is blondish with red tints. I'm very excited I haven't seen my original hair color in so long. Awesome video hun

7 of 9: Im so grateful that you recorded this! I went into it this year, i was purple, blue, purple, pin and red this year. Im over it now and i wamt normal hair ✌

Ashley Norton: Had to watch just for nostalgia lol I've gone from bright red to brown so many times! I did a cool brown with some peek a boo purple once, that was so awesome looking!

Jewel Nickerson-Smith: Sometimes I miss my brown, but I simply won't do it cause it's too much effort to get it blonde again. Looks fantastic on her.

Mason Steele: Box dye has always worked really well for me so I can’t complain lol. Main reason I don’t use it now is because I don’t want permanent color on my hair anymore. I change my mind too often.

Holly Daniels: Abby has the sweetest most innocent face!! She looks like a porcelain doll

Stuff & Places: I love box die! This is what i starting with when i starting dying my hair!! p.s. I love seeing the life in the background!! great video!!

Beth Mills: I love that red she had but she looks good with brown ❤ very informative video.

_Danielle_ 2020: Thats a stunning colour it really suits her.. beautiful

Gianna Rosario: Omg!! I have a bright red unit that I eventually want to chocolate color and this was so helpful ❤️

Nicole Schlager: i hope whenever she plans on doing another color you show us the process!

Kiki 1998: As someone who’s had red hair it’s very hard to up keep and keep it vibrant I understand her wanting to die it brown

Loving Life: Loved it!! Thank you sooo much for filming it!!

Amanda Plaza Valdés: You look so incredible beautiful without make up I am really impressed

ammy jacks: I love watching you videos! They are so relaxing.

Melissa: you’re gorgeous with and without eyeshadow omg!!!

Amanda Wheeler: I’m so surprised you didn’t need a filler! It came out so nice.. awesome job!

Sam Ayyye: The brown is so flattering on her

MyMy: Really enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing it with us ❤

Nikki Rollins: Every color has looked amazing but she also looks stunning brunette

Tatiana Shiroky Schubert: I love this color, I just dyed my hair brown. It was neon yellow

Michaela Hixenbaugh: I was hoping you were doing semi permanent with browns. Sometimes I miss my brown hair but I know in a few weeks I'll want my blonde back to do funky colors.

AC: I believe L’Oreal owns Redken. It owns lots of companies. Her hair turned out very nice

Broken_angel_wing: Looks like a almond nut shade. It’s amazing!

Jo Martin: Abberssss! You’re so brave stepping off the vivid train. Still looking great ❤️

John Hall: you saved me from my red beard disaster dye job Thank You!

Liz Lorenzsonn: It turned out so pretty! I'm not at all shocked, I know you have mad skills Am I wrong for *secretly* hoping she changes her mind and comes back to bringht colors in a few months?

SarahLizette: She's so pretty! So is she not going to be dying her hair anymore?

Regina Hanson: Great results!❤️

Megan Jswjaozw: this is helpful, thank you for filming this

Frankie O'brien: So beautiful without make up!!!x

Club Ninja: Oh my goodness FINALLY someone else who doesn’t have a problem with box die!

Diana Albrecht Miller: There is nothing wrong with box dye!! I use it!!

Cynimonry: I used a box dye "Ruby Noir" and it was beautiful and trendy at first but faded within 2 weeks! Now it's a strange medium red tone! Going to dye it Cool Brown. I viewed a color chemist that addressed the bad box dye issue and he admitted that box dye is much better today for your hair than it was 50 years ago! I've used box dye for many years and honestly I can't tell the difference when I go to a professional except maybe because of the shampoo and conditioner products that they use.

Melina Rodriguez: Girl I just went from my pink hair to light brown! And now I want to go purple

Kathie Vargas Montes: I love the transformation! I am in the same boat.

Mokana: I’m always impressed by your ability to not get dye literally everywhere. Idk if I’m just a clumsy SOB or what but holy crap I get dye EVERYWHERE

Hayley D 🍀🇮🇪: You are sooo talented. Love all your videos.

LayZkillR: I love your attitude haha "if you have a problem with box die click the fuck off now" hahaha I died!! Loves your eyes, so green, very pretty xoxo .. and Abbies hair came out awesome :)

Phonche TV: That brown is so pretty on her <3

Slytherin Ginger Witch: As I live in the UK, I always use box die as it is more available everywhere. I don't see the issue with it, I have never had a problem.

Aleigha Gutierrez: can we just take a min to talk ab how pretty aislinn is with no makeup omg

Nacha Pereira: You did an amazing job❤❤

Theaterm: Is there a specific/simple way to differentiate those undertones in boxed dyes???

TraeLia Moon: you even rock the faded hair color look! Love it on u!

katlauno: aislinnnn. you are so breathtaking when you have your makeup all done up and everything but MAN. i really just sat and stared at you in the beginning bc you are SO beautiful. anyway love you hahaha

Joanna Uppin: Normally I would have a problem with box dye, but you know what you're doing so idrc if you use it on someone else since I trust your judgement and I understand not wanting to drive an hour to go to Sally's with everything going on rn. Brown hair dye is the hardest to get out so if she wants to switch colors, I hope you record the process. I'm interested to see how it will fade out since she already had a filler color (red) to start with tbh.

Claire Salas: I love that you have a neon green hair tie on the pink side and a pink one on the green. You’re giving me Cosmo and Wanda vibesssss

theo🏴‍☠️: I feel like you're the only hairdresser who isn't against box dye.

TheSim1derful: Also damn girl you're working that tan, I love it!

Doseofdepression: I have a question. So I’m kinda on the same boat as your friend, except my hair is currently purple. But I was wondering why you didn’t strip out the red color more before going brown as the dye is still vibrant. I’m trying to fade out the purple before going brown, would it make no difference in whether you would strip out the color? Thank you for making this video!

Katy Maughan: Your hair is mad cute in this video!
