Each and every product I feature is something I have used and loved and wanted to share with you. I choose 100% of the products I feature and do not ever recommend anything I haven't personally used myself. Links in my description may be affiliated and are a wonderful way to show your support, allowing me to continue spreading beauty and boldness. A big thank you to everyone who took time from their busy schedules to grace me with their presence and attention. All products shown are purchased by myself.

Tis the season for holiday parties, maybe a wedding or two and you're thinking to yourself. I have short hair and don't know what to do. I'M here to help you and show you the way that even with a tight crop you can have, I don't know I was trying to be dr. Seuss and it just wasn't happening anyway. Welcome to today's video. This is so exciting. For me, I love hair tutorials. I love giving you ideas and examples of how to mix it up and as we head into the holiday season - and there are a lot of parties to attend and you're wanting to kind of break out of the box, do something different. You know you wear your hair like this. Every day you got your short cut and you're thinking. What can I do? I'Ve got my dress on and, and I just don't want to do the same. Look I'm here to show you show you that there are quite a few varieties and and what I've decided to do, because I'm silly this way I have a product of the 80s, and so I've decided to name my four different hairstyles after popular 80's bands. So bear with me, as I try to throw a little humor in the mix anyway. What I'm going to do is first of all, show you what you need. A hair dryer will be a good thing, you're not going to start wet. In fact, it's best if your hair is a few days dirty because it sticks a little bit of tackiness is a good thing when you're trying to create different looks so this is day three hair and it's gon na work perfectly for what I'm going to show. You you'll want a flat iron or curling iron to create waves. You can do it with either. You will want a wide round brush to initially smooth things out, get rid of any kinks twist bends that might be in the hair. You'Ll want a little teasing brush. You will want a comb with a tip and end here to be able to work with part lines. You will want bobby pins. You will want a headband and any hair accessories pins, and things like that. I actually award these in my hair for my wedding and I use them on occasion for updos and different evening looks, but they really dress things up. So if you have any kind of hair, pins and accessories, those are great okay. So I'm going to push in get closer and we're gon na start with look number one. Okay, here we go. The first thing we need to do is make sure that our hair is smooth, like I said, no kinks or bends. So this is when you want to take an opportunity and look at your hairline. Sometimes we get calyx up front and what I will do is just take a large round brush going from back to forward and just smooth it out a little bit on a high heat and really just straightening, okay, and so this just gives us a really clean Palette to start with, I bet you're wondering what I'm going to call this one. Well, I've decided to call this look. My auntie Lennox Eurythmics hairstyle, her hair was much shorter than this. It was very masculine, looking sort of flat into the head and it's a classy classy. Look. I especially love this look if you're doing a pantsuit, especially an evening kind of tuxedo pant suit, it's sort of a masculine feminine thing, and it's very sexy in my opinion and super easy to do and you can modify it and actually make it a little bit More feminine, if you so choose, but this one's easy, so you want to take a brush that has some tightly-packed bristles because we're going to flatten things out. So what I do is, I just find my side part and you can even play with parts. If you want, you can go for a deep side. Part, you can even zigzag in the part line it's up to you, but I'm just going to take this and slick it back and then the side here is just gon na get tucked under my ear, so you're just basically slicking it back and tucking it under. Oh, my god, you guys, I forgot my hairspray hold on okay. Let'S just blame that one on menopause brain okay, my kenra volume 25. I am now good to go so I've done a deep set side. Part you may notice in the back. You might have to just blow dry these guys again we're just looking to make everything smooth so wherever you see calyx bump loved to smooth it out. This look reminds me when I had longer hair - and you may have done this - to sort of that Spanish style, senorita ponytail and you would either have a ponytail in the back or maybe create a knot or a bun in this case no hair. So no bun, but what we're doing is we're just licking it down and giving it a bit of a boyish look and then I'm going to show you how you can pop in some femininity. If need be, you can give yourself a little bit of a push. A little bump in the back, because chances are you've, got some layers back here to give you lift, and that adds a little femininity. If you don't want to have it totally flat, you want everything here to come down and tuck under back to be smooth. Besides, I'm just doing flat here, okay, and so once you have everything in place. This is when you can take advantage of your little decorative pins, and I to me the prettiest, I think is focusing just on one side and on the low part by the ear. So you could take some of these pins and then just kind of tuck them in like so I don't have them fastened in very well just in the name of brevity here, but I'm going to do my best so just pop in a few we're getting there And I will do three, I like odd numbers and then just take them and flatten them down, and that is a way to bring a little bit of femininity to your look as you've flattened out and made your hair a bit more masculine. But you can really play around with different types of pins and hair adornments and get things that maybe match what it is, that you're wearing with color with texture, stones and whatnot. But this took literally two minutes, maybe to put together, which is why I love it. And you can either slick it down with a little bit of gel on the sides or again a hard hold haired, so hairspray I like this can receive all um -- 25. It does the trick for me every time, but this is look number one. Thank You. Auntie Lennox of the Eurythmics sweet dreams are made of this look number two. This one will be an easy transition and don't be afraid of Miz Grace Jones. Okay, she's, the inspiration for this. Second look. Yes, it looks a little hard, but there are ways to soften this up. What we're going to do in this particular case is we're creating kind of a faux hawk here. Okay and what I love also about that hairspray, is that it brushes out it's not sticky or tacky in any way. What I need to do is just read blow-dry, this little front section right here to make it all go back, and it's really just the front. I'M gon na hit it with a cool shot or a cool pup. Okay, just let that hold for a second, and that should do, I think, okay. So now, what we're going to do is we're going to create essentially a fauxhawk we're going to take a little part here on one side, sort of the arch of the brow and the arch of the brow and just go straight straight back like so. Okay and then that hair you're just going to tuck and slicked down and back, and if you have to anchor that with hairspray go for it, you probably will tuck and slicked straight down. Okay and then I'm gon na spray here at the root line to hold that part up again same area kind of at the arch of the brow, go straight back section that off so we've got our little faux hawk right here: okay, tuck and spray okay. Now this don't get scared, take your teasing brush and we're gon na start with the front he used to get some height here now. You can totally tone this down with pins and things like that, which is what I will do, but I'm going to show you two options: okay, so you've created your faux hawk and now you can take this hair and you can slick it straight back like so, And so you're creating height in the middle, and you can then take bobby pins, which is what I'm going to do and I'm going to twist a little bit an anchor some of the top pieces. So I'll grab a section here and I'll twist it twist it back a little bit and then anchor it. I shouldn't do that with my teeth. I know take a section here and just twist it and grip back and you can pull you can loosen along the way whatever it is, that you want to do and then spray as you go and you're, creating a bit of a little pompadour in the center. For those of you who, like some height and again, you can also utilize pins and things to add decoration, you can slick down the sides for again more of that, you know even pink. Does her hair a bit like this or you can take some pins. Here'S some decorative ones with a little bit of gold and red, and if you want to instead of tucking the sides down, but get these guys going back as well, you can do the same thing with decorative pins here on the side. I'Ve got four of them too, and this is a very sort of loose and teased, not perfect, which is what you want. You want a few pieces just kind of popping out again, I like the pin decoration close to the ear by the earring. I just think it's you know a big compliment, doing that there we go and again the back of your hair is just completely slicked back and there is your Grace Jones faux hawk with some pretty embellishments. Should you need to go that way and again everything just slicked back in the back, but again it's not going anywhere that hairspray is going to anchor it and the teasing really helps as well. But the key is just to tease this top section where you want height, because you want it to have more of a flat look here on the sides. But I think this is very fun in flirty and feminine and again only took a couple of minutes to create. So now we're going to transition from this one to my next one of my favorite band members bands actually in the 80s, and that is the go-go's and Belinda Carlisle. These girls always had relatively short hair and they used headbands quite a lot. So that's what we're going to incorporate in this next look, and this will be super super easy and quick as well. I don't need to reload RIE the hair, I'm just essentially brushing out the hairspray, and so for this one, I'm just going to tease a little bit again to create a bigger hair. Look so just do it in sections the front, the top the back here besides by the face, we're creating the illusion of more hair a little bit in the back too much there. We go okay, so we've got woo. We got volume alright and we're gon na. Take what's really popular now these super skinny hair bands and - and a lot of you may wear these to workout in and to keep hair off of your face, but I'm going to show you how you can easily make this a nighttime look as well. So you take your hair band and you're gon na get it relatively close to the hairline. Push it back just a tiny bit, maybe maybe about an inch and then take all this hair and start pushing it back and then what I do is I don't like it so flat here. That'S more of a workout look I'll! Take the comb here and start pulling ever so gently just to get a little bit of a bump up front, though I'm starting to see some gray hairs, it's time for a root touch-up that might be next week's video just keep pulling just a little bit and Then pull get this away from some of your under hair, so they they come out. You can get a little bit of a flip back here. The key again is to have the height up top here in the middle and to keep it very, very kind of free and flowing and fun and crazy, very crazy and so easy the tee. The key with this was just teasing it and getting the volume and again just kind of grab your hair and and piece it. So you know if I want these to come out a little bit in the back I'll. Take it I'll piece it and then I'll hit it with some hairspray, and it just creates a little bit of a fuller look in the back of the hair, and especially here at the crown. You want your height, so just sort of run. Your fingers through that and make sure you've got your height in the back and again another opportunity for hair embellishments. I like matching the headband with the color of the dress. I think that's a great opportunity to or you could even do silver and gold. If you want to have a little bit more of a pop in the headband, but that's it it's a very, very simple evening: look fun a little bit more teased a little bit looser having a good time with our 80s bandmates, and they were just so cute And fresh and fun and playful and - and I just like this - and I just think it's a bit of a Messier look and a little bit of a looser look. If that's something that you're going for and the beauty is, is that it also keeps your hair out of your face, so you'll be able to see all night, you won't worry about it going flat and and then you can go to a workout class. You know the next morning because you haven't slept okay, so my final look today don't laugh again, but it is the flock of seagulls. Now again, it's modified, I'm not going to do the the full flip and two dips on on both sides. I'M going to do the high and then the the flip, and for that we will need our curling iron. So here's what you do for this one. You get yourself a nice deep set part. So for me, it's this side and start pushing your hair. Let'S see already it's already taken on a flock of seagulls thing here, but what I want to do is add a little bit of a wave to it. So that's why I've got the handy, curling slash it's a time, tym a it's a flat iron, but it makes waves and all kinds of things and I'm just gon na go for loose big waves, primarily on the longest part, which is toward the front and kind Of work through big sections, my hair has so much product in it. It'S just sticking to this flat iron, but I'll get her done. Don'T worry. Okay also make sure that you use a product for heat, whether it's blow drying flat iron curling iron. You want to make sure that your hair is protected and I'll list in the description box. Some of the products that I use to to do that job we're getting there. Everything is going back in this case. You extra pieces over here where I've got some length and then, in the name of symmetry, on this side, I'm not going to leave it totally straight. I will wave it back, but it's still going to get slicked back. [ Applause, ], okay. So this is the point now where you basically style with your hands. You should have enough product in your hair at this point, so I'm just gon na take it and I'm going to just loosely run my fingers through it and bring it up to the side and then down forward just kind of pushing it forward, pushing it forward. Okay, the back is getting tucked back here, always make sure when you have short hair to use a mirror and check the back. I'Ve got a little mirror kind of behind me over here, so I can see the back of my hair too, because you want to make sure that you don't have any holes in your head. So I was able to verify that I don't and once you start getting things the way you like it hit it with your hit with your best friend and the Flocka Siegel is long here, so you can take it. Don'T don't do as much curl leave these ends out, so you get a little bit of length here and then kind of scrunch up here to get the height on the side and again slick this back. That comes forward. If you want to use pins here hey, this is the place to do it, especially the area where your hair is pulled back, so you can take a pin and go in look. These have very wide openings, so I've got to get creative and how I twist them. Sometimes it's good to go up and then down and anchor it like. So there we go when you get everything where you want it like. I said spray spray spray, but this one is just a matter of pulling and securing, but I love this. This is very, very fun and loose and playful. It does create the illusion of having longer hair. So, if that's something that you're looking to experience this holiday season - yes, my short hair, ladies - can definitely trick their friends. Everybody be like what how did your hair grow? What kind of vitamins you takin girl, so there you have it. I think we just knocked out for pretty quick and easy ways to change it up during the holidays or even a wedding to add some oomph to your hairstyle short hair is not limiting. Beauty By Anne-Marie: You have the best hair!!! I always love all your hairstyles and as an 80's girl myself I enjoyed the 80's names for the different do's! So cute! xoxo

Lindsay Potts: I just cut my hair off and I haven't felt like myself until now. And you're making me love it even more. Stay fabulous!

Susan Reynard: I'm watching this almost a year later and loving it! We're having a heatwave here in South Africa and I gave my hair the chop earlier this week in desperation to feel a breeze on my neck. Your tutorial is just perfect and well timed. Can't wait to do my hair for Christmas! You really show the process well and the tools you use are those we have on hand, so easy to feel excited and give it a try. I love your channel. When I'm feeling down in the dumps or unmotivated, I watch a back video and your enthusiasm, professionalism and can-do attitude give me the boost I need. Thank you xx

Lucie Taylor: I had the big chop 3 wks ago, partly inspired by you Dominique, your tutorials have been very helpful, thank you. I’ve never had short hair before, I wish I had done it years ago. I love it! My hair looks just like yours but I have shorted bangs. It started falling out due to medication & I spent 3 years clinging on to the length. But now my hair looks so much thicker & healthier. It’s liberating & boosted my confidence. And much easier to manage than I thought. I’m an 80’s girl too xo

Audj943: Love the sparkly top, Dominique! And yes; love the ideas for us mature late 40's women that want to look chic! I've been thinking of different ways to wear my short hair for the holidays. I'm a "retired" hairdresser of 25+ years; age 47; and still enjoy playing with the short styles on myself. (Kenra is the bomb, btw!) So much fun watching your hair tutorials, thank you!!

Penell E: 11/22/19 - I DID IT!!!! Had my hair cut today just like yours and couldn't be happier. I look younger, my hair is healthier looking, and already got a compliment...woooohoooo. Thank you Dominique.

Debra Huddleston: I love Dominique's videos. Anytime I attempt to have a stylist cut my brown hair like hers...I NEVER end up with that cut! So, I wear my hair long, but use 1) hair bands 2) gemmed bobby pins 3) gemmed hair clips 4) hair pieces 5) pony tail....I'm about glitzing it up for variety & mood! Cheers beautiful ladies!

Fiona Mackinlay: Love the tutorials! As a short haired girl it's great to see just how versatile our hair can be. Please do a root touch up video!

Kim M: You are always inspiring!  Thank you for your fantastic videos.  After seeing your video for Beachy Waves for Short Hair I went for it and cut my hair (showing my stylist screenshots from your video).!  I'd always had long beautiful hair, but approaching 50 it was 'time' for a change and I was TERRIFIED!  I'm SO happy with my new hair that I haven't looked back!  Thanks to you I have learned great ways to style it that I wouldn't have taken time to think about!  From curling tools to clip on buns and beautiful headbands and clips.  For the first time in a very long time, I feel sassy again!  Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you!  I would never have done it if not for you! xoxoxo

Carline Francois: Thank you Dominique! I loved all the hairstyles you showed us. I have to re-cut my hair, so I feel better about it. Yes, 80's baby myself and loved the music. Your channel is always helpful. Have a blessed day!

Mari Kraut: Great job on these styles! Your cut, of course, has a lot to do with how manageable the style is but you are really good at styling too! Thanks for the inspiration. I go from short to mid-length all the time and mostly have a bob for every day, it’s just easier and always looks good. I love the “piecy” looks as they are so modern and make you feel younger! Gone are the days when you have to have every strand in place, thank goodness. My stylist always says “avoid helmet head” and I always try for that! Thanks again Dominique!

Jodi Sines: LOVE this!! Your positivity & energy is AWESOME!! Thank you for this BEAUTIFUL tutorial, CAN'T WAIT TO DO THEM ALL!! Happy Holidays ❤❤

Jen Valencia: Dominique, you inspired me to chop off my long hair! I'll be 50 in 2 weeks, and I'm going for it... I've been struggling with RA, my hands hurt most days, blowing out my hair has become unbearable, shorter will take the time down on styling. Thank you for always inspiring me! Annie Lennox is my fav by the way... such a beauty! :)

Elianne D: I’m watching your video (I have medium-long hair) and I can adapt the styles that you showed to my hair length, as they are very versatile. Not only are you a beautiful woman, but you take the time to share with other women how to create beauty for themselves. It’s this joy of sharing coming from the heart that transpires through all of your videos. Be blessed Dominique!

Sheila Kane: Decided to go short last year. Was debating whether or not to grow it out because I felt limited. Had a wedding on New Year's Eve and wish I found your channel earlier. Love the positive message you send at the end of the video. Thanks for showing us short haired gals that we're not locked into one style.

Donna Sisk: I loved this video!! So fun!! I love your hair style as well! I grew my hair out a year ago and it's way down my back, but I used to always have short, sassy hair. Watching your video makes me want to go short again!! Maybe I'll be bold and go short again! Enjoy your videos very much! Have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

Birgit Köchl: There is just nobody who does short hairstyles like you! THANK YOU!!!

akiyoshidai1231: I was born in the 80s, the best decade ever so the theme was on point!! I love your looks and your videos and what you said about hairstyles. I'm a girly girl who loves princess hair but I found the 4th look totally fun and feminine for any age.Fancy hairpins are great for any length and show you put the effort.Great as always Dominique!

Susanne Hobbs: Each look is fantastic.  My favorite is the headband look.  I have a short pixie cut and I love using headbands on my short short hair.  Thanks for the great ideas!  I was in high school in the 80's and I agree, we have the best music ever!

Laura: I love how you flawlessly go from one style to the next! Great step by step video.

aryam: Awesome video! And you are so much fun. Loved all four styles. Love the 80’s everything. I have long hair but I truly enjoyed your video. Will send this to my sister who has short hair like yours. I appreciate how clear and how simple you make your videos. Your enthusiasm and charisma inspire me so much. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Jina Abrams: Every video I watch, I come to a thought that you are a living proof of a rare combination of outstanding beauty, intelligence and versatility of talents. Thank you for the video!

sharon bath: Love love love it ❤️ and love the 80s just had a pixi cut and loving it so I will definitely be trying out some of your wonderful hair styles thank you x

Riikka Ikäheimo: Super easy styles!!!! Love them all. My hair is very thin and it is a bit more challenging but with the right products I could work out all the looks you made. And I agree, 80's music is still so goooooooooooood!!!!!!

Cunning Linguist: You just came up on my feed, and you’re stunning! You make all of the hairstyles look gorgeous and easy to do. Honestly, you’re breathtaking .

Stephana West: I love the 80s inspirations for these hair styles! Thank you for showing how versatile short hair can be. So many of my friends are afraid to go short because they think they will be stuck with one look.

lizshellshell: my gosh!! i love all the styles u have here. I've always love short hair and this video gave me a bunch of ideas on how to look more feminine. Thanks Dominique! <3

Kristen Davidson: Hairband look is my favourite! I was watching before bed and now I want to pull out the hair tools and try some of these looks instead! lol Great inspiration as always in your videos!Love the empowerment in all you do. xx

Tonya Hamrick: I'm a short-haired 80's girl, too! I love everything about this video! Thank you.

Janet Tekenos: Your hair must be magic My hair is short and tends to be wavy and can be frizzy. I’ve always tried to get a good hair cut but limited myself to blow drying it straight and smooth for most of my life. With hot flashes burning away I can hardly stand blow drying my hair while the sweat drips down my face or back so for the first ever, after watching your videos and the Makeover Guy's I started letting my hair dry naturally and with a little help, control the curl and frizz. I love it and people can’t believe that I have curly hair! Thank you for your inspiration and you positivity

Laura Scali Finn: So helpful! My hair is short and I can’t tell you how thankful I am for the tips. Who knew I could do so much with so little?!

Cathy Over 50 - Beauty & Lifestyle: Great tutorial! The 80's was the best decade, lots of great music! Love your channel Dominique. ❤

micapetey: You have such amazing, glossy hair. I've got short hair once again and I find it much more versatile than when I had long hair. And the lift it gives your face when you're over 50 is better than a facelift!

Cherie1215: I was going to wait until you posted a new video, but I just can't wait and I hope you see this. I watched your piece with Claudia Sierra and I just want to thank you for sharing her story. So, often, especially on the internet, people work to tear others down instead of building them up. As women, we need to lift each other up and not tear each other down. Thank you again for shedding light on this topic. Claudia is a brave and strong woman and she deserves support not ridicule. I am hoping that if you can, you will share the piece here on YouTube and maybe talk more about this subject. You are awesome, Dominique!!

Tracey Ker: This profile pic shows my long hair - of 30+ years. Dominique you completely inspired me to cut my hair, now i have a slick, darker bob and feel so free, light and having fun! I love your confidence and positive attitude. Thank you!

ThisnThat: Enjoyed the vid! Just got my pixie cut and am having so much fun styling it! Thanks for the Great Ideas! TFS!

Alta Meisel: You are amazing, four new hair designs.. for us! Thank you, love the 80’s !

Donna Weber: I came across a couple of your videos on your website and am so glad I did! I was absolutely in awe of the beauty and grace of this lady. You are so talented and elegant, but the at the same time also project an real honesty about you and your look. I am 68 years old and in all my years I have never been so fortunate enough to see such beauty on the outside as well as the inside. You go girl-you are sinpirational. Thank you! Donna in Washington state.

Carlie's Mom: Thank you SO MUCH for these hairstyles! My hair is short and I've always felt stuck fixing my hair other ways besides the way I always wear it! BIG HUGS TO YOU!!!

JustJanet: My favorites were the hairband and the flock of seagulls look!! I may experiment a little more since I’m still in the growing out phase... but it’s about the length of yours now! Thanks for the ideas and Merry Christmas!!

Liz Sanchez: I’m amazed how day 3 hair on you can look soooooo fabulous! As a suggestion since you mentioned weddings, can you make a video recommending mother of the bride attire chat doesn’t look “frumpy”

Keri Smith: Thank you for this video... I love each style. I have a ball that i am going to & have short hair that's growing out & had no idea what to do to it & then found this video. Thank you so much for the wonderful & beautiful ideas. Will definitely be using this video for inspiration!! God Bless

Arlene: Dominique, I just love your fun humor and this was one of my favorite tutorials.  I grew up in the 80's and YES the best music EVER! Thanks so much!

S W: Wow!! All of those styles rocked!! I am an 80's girl and I had very short hair back in the day. Tomorrow I have an appointment and am going back to super short. I can't wait to do the Annie Lenox. Thanks for the inspiration. PS You are stunningly beautiful.

* Lotusblume *: I absolutely love this haircut on you and that will be my style too from now on. I got a short, pretty masculine-looking pixie and want to grow it out. I am going grey and don’t want to color it but I have the same skin tone as you and think it would look great on me too but I just chopped it all off so I have to give the grey at least a good try before coloring again. I’m just wondering what color that would be... So beautiful in all styles and when it gets linger I want to try them all! Loved your video!

Laura Blake: Dominique, I finally went and bought Nude Metal lipstick (Lipstick Queen), and I am totally in love with it! I've been wearing a similar Mac color for 10+ years called Sandy B that just got disco'd, and I haven't been able to find anything close to it. This lipstick is actually better, the texture is so velvety, and it looks warm and frosty all day. I'm not having to constantly reapply. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your recommendations are always spot on!

ModeDogs: You have the most amazing, flexible hair, Dominique! It's always stylish and gorgeous.

SABINE BRITTON: Absolutely love your videos. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. Keep up posting your wonderful inspirational videos

Nancyd2736: Hi Dominique!  I love your videos and you have the most amazing hair, I have short hair too and love it and have gotten a lot of tips from you.  The thing I love most though is your passion for making women realize their worth, no matter what kind of hair, makeup, clothing.  You are very inspiring!

lolknowpain: I really loved the last hairstyle. It’s amazing how curled your hair. So pretty!

Nancy Coates: I loved this. I have hair a lot like yours. So I can’t wait to try a couple of these styles. I’ve wanted to try some of the hair pins but wasn’t sure how to use them. Now I know. Thanks again for the fun ideas.

Sandra Jones: Thank you for these quick and easy styles! Tutorial on the gray eyeshadow please!

Valerie Hayes: Hi Domonique another great tutorial love your fun down to earth personality and you are so refreshing just sharing your knowledge with us rather than having sponsered videos and try to maķe us buy more "stuff" . I think your great xx Val UK xx

Isabel Soto: Thank you for such an amazing video also from an 80's chick :-) Any chance we can get a tutorial on your makeup? Loved it and am looking for a elegant look for my sons wedding next month and loved your look here!

Mason Kemper: I’m getting married in October, and I cut all my hair off in January. Right now you are my queen. Even if I don’t do one of these styles, just watching this makes me feel less hopeless.

Maria Elizondo: You are a riot! I enjoyed this video so much! I am so bad at styling my hair and have similar haircut, but not as much hair. Yours is beautiful! The 80’s rule!! I will try these hairstyles and will let you know. Thanks for your ideas and encouragement

Naroa Canalo: Hi Dominique! I loved your video. Your last hairstyle is more or less how I wear my shirt hair everyday. Having short hair can be quite if a challenge. So thanks for this marvelous video ✨

Sina Hurd: Loved it! Love your energy & positivity- Happy Holidays❤

MarieJosee Pitre: Two thumbs up for the 80's !! I love your Annie Lennox look, very classy !! The Gogo's look is my day to day go to look, either my hair is straight or curly, long or short !! Great ideas, thank you !!

Hannah Wiggins: I always love your hairstyles. The last one was my favorite. I love the way the girls in the 80’s embraced the volume. My stylist told me the other day to try not to tease anymore because it causes breakage in the hair. I was like girl, I’m gonna tease this hair til the day I die.

Sam Young: Thank you Dominque, watching your channel encouraged me to finally get a short pixie cut today - very bold and brave for me.

Lynn O'Brien: Love, love, love all of the looks, but especially the Go-Gos look !

jennifer McDonald: I know you’re trying to help, but my darling, you are incredibly beautiful right from the start. I think no matter what you do to your hair you would look gorgeous. Sadly a lot of us aren’t similarly blessed!

Leslie L: Love all of the great ideas for short hair! My favorite videos are the hair styling ones, so fun!

Allison Skinner: I find myself returning to your videos over and over, Dominique. You're so entertaining and talented. And, yes, as an 80s girl, too, I agree it is the best ;-)

Linda B: This made me smile the whole time!!! I love the eighties too, and I love your beautiful hair ideas and lovely attitude. Thank you, have a wonderful weekend =)

roseann153: Hey Dominique!  Love all the different styles!  something a hair stylist told me once,  when style your hair always make sure it looks like you've already been to the party!!!!! Works for me every time!!!  :-)

Wonder Woman: Love the way you explain styles and love your videos.

Jennifer Krzewinski: Loved the 80’s theme The Belinda Carlisle and flock of Seagulls styles were my favorites, but I’m always amazed at how you can look good with ANY hairdo! So pretty and definitely a classy lady that I aspire to be more like! Always looking forward to your next video

Estela Lindo: OMG! YOU LOOK AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS! THANKS 4 THIS VIDEO!

Robin Quinones: Your styles were so on point with today's trends! Thank you for your inspiration. One quick question, I was wondering if you would consider a tutorial on sexual misconduct in the work place? I would love to know your thoughts on this very serious subject.

Cheryl W.: Loves this, rocking my stacked short bob every day. Also on team menopause. I say all the time how lucky I am to be an 80’s girl. This girl is a bonafide Duran duran fan to this day! Yup! Love my age! Love your videos, thank you so much!

Anne Northman: Thanks for the holiday hair tutorial...all looks were stunning. I would love to know what color of highlights you have and YES - please do a root-touchup-tutuorial next week!!

Diana Rosas: Hahahaha Menopause Brain! I get that! Thank you for your wonderful tutorials, tips and tricks. I don’t know if you have already covered this topic, but I would like to see how you care for your makeup and hair brushes. How many of each type of makeup brush do you use when you apply your makeup? When you finish with a brush do you put it in a wash bowl or apply some type of cleaning agent. If you have covered it, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

David Pumpkins: Just wanted to say thank you - I've been burned by you tube recommendations, but after watching you for years, I decided to get the Elchim hair dryer.  I got it for blowouts, but as it turns out, I absolutely love their cocoon diffuser.  Thanks for your integrity.

Ivory Minx: LOVE! Thank you for the inspiration! Flock of Seagulls is my everyday go to with my curls - I use a little less hairspray than I did back in the 80’s though.

Pricilla Soliz: Love all 4 styles but I would definitely appreciate a tutorial on the eyes. Great colors!

Cecilia Suarez Villarroel: I'm in love with your earrings!! And all looks are so glamorous! Such a good ideaaa

L McCauley: I couldn't pick a favorite of the 4 because I think they are all adorable. You have an awesome haircut (and such a pretty face) and that helps too. :) I enjoyed this a lot. My daughter always says she misses the 80's. It was a fun time!! I don't miss some of the perms I got back then though, a couple were pretty bad..Can you say poodle??!! LOL

HipFit SoooGood: You are such a Beauty! Thanks for these cute tips. I have long hair and will probably keep it that way all my life. However, it just goes to show that women can use their imagination to create new looks with any length!

Tamela Bowie Interiors: I am an 80’s girl as well! I loved The Go-Go’s band too! Their fashion was my go-to-look during junior high and high school years...lol! I loved all four looks! It just that with ethnic hair we can not do too much teasing because of hair breakage...lol! I laughed when you spotted a few strands of gray hair. I have a few gray strands around my front hairline but I have not colored them yet...trying to embrace it first...lol! I might start coloring next year when I turn 48...who knows...lol! Anyhow, loved this tutorial and thanks for sharing!

Veronica R: The first hairstyle is always my go to lol. My hair is a little longer but I love that style. It’s just super sleek, classic and refreshing. I then play around with my makeup and/or accessories

Sarah Jane Martin: Just seen this, and wow! You really chose some great styles, and I love that hairspray. Xx

Elaine Doyle: I wish I had your hair it does everything you want and looks beautiful...I'm trying to work out if my hair is rebellious or just darn lazy ❤

Darlene Pham: Okay but you're absolutely beautiful so any of these hair styles you'll look great in ! It's really hard for me to find or to pull off any of these because I have a square face idk lol regretting getting the pixie hair cut because of the awkward stages of grow out ‍♀️ But I love love these hair styles and references

Kekkelpenney Peckeltoot: I’ve just watched what is going to be the first of many videos of yours. You’re beauty is surpassed only by your intelligence and class all wrapped in a fun loving woman! As a 43 y/o who got married days after high school and has grown children it makes no so happy seeing women who aren’t trying to look 20 or reach out to that demographic! Let’s celebrate our age with some Eurythmics, or The Bangles and be beautiful grown women!! I need to go do arms now after 20 minutes of watching yours! Looking absolutely gorgeous!

Carole Frank: You can even look gorgeous with a Grace Jones style! Getting my hair styled tomorrow. I have a lot of hair, but it’s very fine, thus lots of product that tends to dull the shine. I do us Kenra 25 AND LOVE IT. Am a 69yr old redhead, have no gray (red heads mostly don’t gray, we will get some white, but keep our red, or it gets muted to a pinkish tone as we get older. Have redheaded family members who have done both). Am taking photos off your hair to my stylist tomorrow. I’ve let it grow a bit, and hubs keeps asking when is my hair appointment. He likes it shorter, and says he thinks it makes me look younger. I know, I know, I should not let him dictate my hairstyle, but if he thinks I look younger/prettier with it shorter, maybe I should just pay attention. Getting old was nothing I ever worried about. Looking old, well, it was just not on my list of favorite things I wanted to do. I love your videos. I love that you are real and “approachable”.

shalini singh: I love the fact that these hairstyles can be done on any kind of short hairs
