ABOUT ME: Hi guys! My name is Alyona. I was born in Russia. I'm a musician. And I love art, makeup, fashion, style and beautiful environments. I love playing with makeup and fashion, but at the same time, I’m quite a minimalistic person. I don't like the idea of being fixated on the body too much. I have an alternative and unconventional viewpoint on beauty, the body types and face shapes. I love helping other women find their "it" and finally discover their beauty and boost their confidence.

I have several series on my channel that you might be interested in such as: Body Types, Contouring, Makeup History and Makeup Transformations. Also some random beauty hacks about skin care, hair, nails and beauty in general.

Hello guys so continuing my ask ali series. I'M gon na leave the link on this forum down below and then, if you ask me question, i might choose your question and make a separate video about this. I got loads of questions about pretty much same subject. Alicia best hairstyles for long faces, roxanne tips to make my face. Look less narrow, long, rama, best tips for long and flat faces; ramsha, hey ali love, your videos. Thank you. Please make a video for all the narrow and long face, ladies like what hairstyles they can do to help balance the length of their face or make them look white and what makeup tricks can do the same job help martha how to work with long face. That looks dragged down by wavy hair. The last question is actually pretty specific, so i'm gon na reply right now so long faces uh that have wavy hair that is dragging them down. Normally that happens when wavy hair doesn't have enough air in it. Sometimes all you need to do is just cut a couple of inches shorter or just one inch just cut off those thin and because sometimes those thin ants. They just have that tendency to make the hair look very thin. And it's just lying by your face. Close to your face, it can drag down sometimes or sometimes some layers can help too, but not too much layers, not like super mullet, but just a little bit of layers just to make the waves slightly lighter here. On top that can really make it look absolutely different and beautiful, and also, if you cut it shorter, especially some women they like to cut it slightly shorter on top, then in this case again, not a mullet, just a very, very vertical slide down slightly lightening up Those top hair and then maybe your waves will become smaller curls. If they become smaller curls, then sometimes it can be easier for you just to it will be more air in them and if it will be more air in them and more a volume. On top more volume on the sides too, that will look amazing, and actually it doesn't matter. If your face is long or oval, it doesn't matter for, for, if you feel like it's dragging you down, i don't think it's because of your face as long or longer than oval, so just try that just try, first, just to cut the dead ends a little Bit and then see how it goes and then you can just try and cut it slightly there and make maybe slightly, and it will add some air to your hair. You know and it will not drag you down. So, okay, let's go for tips for long faces. Some time ago i also answered on questions about white faces about makeup and about hair for white faces. You can check them out so for long faces, many people say: don't do straight: hair straight fine, hair, thin, hair or straight hair on the sides. I disagree. I think it looks amazing and if it elongates your face, it's even better long faces. Look amazing and it's a certain style. It just gives you a certain vibe. There are so many famous people with elongated faces and they can pull off something that wider faces or maybe more oval faces. They just can't pull off that well, like jen, jane burkin, for example, with her that famous french fringe, and actually she was a you. She was a british girl right, so she just moved to france, but she was that kind of combination of that english and french style and she became a style icon and you can see her hair actually was very thin and it was lying down the sides of Her face, but she made that fringe and she made that curtain bangs. I would say, probably that gave her so much chic and she played her outfits around that only if you exaggerate the volume on top really exaggerated and not making volume on the sides, but making only volume on top like that. Of course, that can really exaggerate and make your face look longer than that is another good example. Lisa eldridge she has slightly oblong face, but in her case, for example, she has her lips are slightly higher here, so she has slightly longer chin. So she is what she is doing. She is correcting that one feature with her makeup. She doesn't do too much contouring on her face. She doesn't do sometimes she goes without any contouring. She just goes with some blush. She doesn't try to make her face. Slam necessarily and stuff like that she doesn't apply too much darker powder to her chin as well. So what she's trying to do is just she's trying to make her the bottom lip slightly lower, and so she is just over drawing her bottom lip slightly on the bottom here, so that kind of occupies some of space of her chin and then her chin just Looks not as elongated and she kind of doesn't care like the face, looks pretty harmonized, so you see some people, they are just correcting some features themselves, not the face itself, but just some features they're just making them slightly more, even slightly more proportionate. If you watch my video about face shapes, i talk a lot about that and i actually have another video about long faces. All those links i'm gon na leave down below. So you can. You can check that and i'm explaining you how exactly should make the makeup for longer faces. I'M not gon na go too deep into the subject, but today i'm more general about this. Also, today, i have much more experience with women with longer faces, women that i've worked with so and what we did so in general. The answer is, it normally is something else: it's not the face. Normally, it's something else that we fix and boom. I heard some specialists also said that no central parting, it can make your face even longer. I disagree and i think it looks very hippy. It looks very 70s if a woman with elongated face is making no fringe nothing long, hair, long, hair or bob or long bob, and longer longer longer longer when she has that central party. I think it looks amazing, even if she has a flat top, even if she has a lot of hair on the sides or she has very flat hair on the sides. Even if the hair is very thin. I think it looks amazing. It has the vibe. It has the mood if everything else is playing with it. Then it's just gon na shine like, for example, sarah jessica parker. Also, if we look at those three parts of the faces - sarah jessica parker, she has uh elongated middle part of her face also, but there's no need to correct it anyhow, because that is those small details that that is different from from other people, haley baldwin. She has pretty long face and her forehead. That top part is pretty small. Sometimes she does wear fringe actually, and sometimes she doesn't so you see she doesn't care. Another thing that looks amazing on long faces is sleek hair on the back and bun hair bun, very sleek, hair bun. On top, you know some women with wide and rounded faces, especially if their head is pretty flat, sometimes when they are making their hair super sleek. Super super sleek that slightly make their face slightly wide wider than that is so they always try to slightly lift it on top, and for you guys, you don't need that so yeah. If we talk about things, the character is the most important thing here, because banks is is an accessory, it's not it's. It should not be used to hide something. If, let's say you have very oblong face and you have a huge forehead, don't do your bangs just to cover your forehead and actually i'm talking about tall foreheads in this video. So i'm gon na leave the link down below. So you check that. Don'T build your hairstyle and haircut and hair color only to serve some imperfections, how you how you perceive them? We don't serve imperfections because those imperfections is a lie. There'S no such thing: it's a creative thought. If the thought can be created, it can be also not created. You know, that's another trick, so you see the bangs. It mostly depends on your overall style on your lifestyle on the vibe that you want to create. If you have long face and let's say you're tall you're slightly masculine, you love 70s. You love long stuff. You love long pants. You dress slightly vintage and stuff so that bangs can look gorgeous on you, especially if you're wearing something like curtain, bangs, longer, bangs and longer hair with central parting and going to look amazing like real hippie, real hippy or if you have slightly different vibe. I don't know, maybe your features are pretty sharp. Maybe you like more sophisticated, more glamour, so more clean, look less natural, so probably for you that fringe just won't look in harmony with the rest, even though you have huge forehead. That'S amazing just keep it and keep it, keep it open. It will look amazing with open face, alexa chung. She has pretty long face and she doesn't care. Sometimes she is wearing shorter, hair, sometimes longer sometimes she's wearing bangs. Sometimes those bangs are shorter, sometimes they're longer, and sometimes she doesn't wear bangs at all, and she just shows her face. She doesn't care too much. It'S just she's about the outfit she's, not even about makeup too much she's more about the fashion right. So she knows how to build that look for herself how to look stylish. She doesn't care too much about her hair and her makeup lifestyle. Iman long face open, forehead, beautiful. She doesn't care too much. She has a long face. She doesn't care too much. She opens her forehead all the time, because this is not just her thing, especially that period of time when she had those photos. It was just not her thing that bangs was not her thing. The outfits that she was wearing was very elegant and slightly dramatic, so she just didn't want to that fringe. Maybe it was too noisy at that time for her, so she didn't just wear it. She was, she would open her face. She would pull her hair on the back, so many women, if you know uh my kibby serious, keep the types right. So some women can have more sharp bones. Some women can have more blunt bones, blunted square with slightly rounded corners like that. So that is blunt. So some women can have blunt bones. So women with more blunt bones and oblong faces, they look slightly more natural, have slightly more natural vibe, so more tousled hair probably would look cool on them and stuff and they're women with oblong faces. Who can have pretty sharp features and if they're very tall, they can be maybe dramatic women and they already have slightly different vibe in them. So for them, probably something more delicate, delicate, clean and minimalistic would be better or something more geometric and sharp. And there are small girls who have oblong faces, for example, tiny, but slightly tomboyish, maybe they're slightly squarish and figure. Maybe there's flambuent gamins, i don't know sometimes lamborghinis can have longer faces. They can do whether explosion in their hair or they can do some geometry. Asymmetrical geometry: on their hair, you see so it just depends on on so many things on the overall combination of those bone structure, musculature and flesh and how soft it is or how dry, probably you are you see, so it depends on many things. So again, another thing: why we're not building our outlook, uh and outfits around long faces chisel bundchen? So you see she sometimes has that central parting, partial and long hair, for example - or she can have a partial on the side here, and it creates that more horizontal diagonal, as opposed to those girls that i had tips for round one around their faces. So she they would have more uh more vertical diagonal here by the face, so they would. Their parting would not be in the center, but slightly on the side, but not too much on the side, because when it's too much on the side, then the hair goes just like that, but, for example, for oblong faces these girls look amazing with that, especially if They'Re they're slightly asymmetrical and they love that asymmetry. So basically, any length of the hair can look amazing. It'S just. It doesn't depend too much on that. It'S just, as i said, if you are exaggerating the volume on top and make it very sleek on the sides, they can just too much exaggerated long face, but just in general you can do whatever you want. You have even more freedom that goes with round faces because all those slickness and all those sleek buns and if it doesn't fit you you say, probably it's not because of the face shape. I can guarantee maybe 99.9 percent, that it's not because of the fake shape. It'S because of something else, maybe the vibe, the style, your lifestyle or something else is just just, doesn't work all together. So you feel more if you just feel better with like when it's something hanging in here i don't know, it just depends. Those are my tips. Let me know in the comments: if you already do things like that, and it helps or you don't you do them, it doesn't help or you try to do that and it helps let me know and um. Thank you. AA: To all my fellow long faced, big 5headed people out there: we’re beautiful!!!!

UltimaThule: Your attitude to style and beauty is so refreshing. Some of the conventional wisdom of ‘hiding flaws’ can be bad for people’s self-esteem and doesn’t actually help individual people find their style and confidence.

Taylor A: The way she speaks so fondly and affectionately on all types of feature makes me just ☺️. Always leave these videos feeling confident and informed.

Brooke: SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS VIDEO! I feel like we long faced folks are kind of left out, and with all the filters and surgeries that shorten the face becoming so mainstream, I feel like I'm always fighting my face instead of finding ways to flatter it. Almost everyone with a long face puts out photos that are altered or at strategic angles (Khloe Kardashian, or really that whole crew, like Kylie with her jaw surgery) , so it's hard to find guidance or role models. Thank you thank you thank you!

Student Loan: I love long faces! They have an elegant and chic feel. I especially love long faces with bangs or a centre parting! I think the problem is that the renaissance for long faces was the 70s, long faces with droopy eyes were the biggest beauty trend in the 70s For the big forehead girls, their Renaissance was the 90s/early 2000s when a lot of supermodels had bigger foreheads The current beauty trend is definitely catered towards short round and square faces we all have our time as the beauty trend, don’t get caught up in it! focus on what works for you and not whats trending :)

AFCY: I teared up when Aly said that bangs should not be used to hide something and that we don't serve imperfections. My long face and long chin are my inferiority complex. Finally someone has such a positive attitude towards the features that I dislike most about myself.

J W: Love how you so convincingly explain that we shouldn't consider our faces flawed, just uniquely beautiful. This was amazing!

bowtie345: Love how she has to specify “not a mullet” multiple times cause of the current weird mullet trend lol

Erin C: I have a long face and feel my hair looks best up in a high bun. I have a long neck. I always get compliments when it’s up high.

Fickle Kitty: I have a long face and I used to keep my hair very short. For years I felt unattractive and disliked my face shape. Well, I decided to grow my hair out last year (I couldn't go to a salon or barbershop anyway) and I think I am more attractive with long hair. I've also heard that women with long faces should avoid long hair, but I think I've been doing myself a disservice.

AKHAMLICH Mayssane: You’re so well-spoken and your perspective on things is always a breath of fresh air✨ love your channel!

Shaybaebae: I know this sounds generic, or cliche, but honestly hearing her talk about this made me feel more confident. It’s just hair, and you do what suits your lifestyle. Don’t feel pressured into anything other than what works for you

bic: Cher has quite a long face and her signature long straight hair, especially when she was young, is iconic. I love how you approach features that are usually seem as "flaws", like something we must correct or hide. Beauty comes in many different ways. I have an oval, long face and having short, wavy hair and a bit layered hair makes my face look more harmonious.

K: I love you Aly! I am watching your videos since ! was 16 years old and now I am 21 and it really helps me a lot on how I perceive the world besides the superficial things. I learned to see the beauty in everything like there's no ugly in such facial features, it just make us who we are as a person and I live by that every single day and I think I become a better person I always wanted to be!! No drama, Just some respect.

Lenka: I think, the brows are also important. I have long, but wider face. My brows are lower and very fair. (My hair is brown.) Sometimes I look like mediaval painting. I think, little bit higher and darker brows are great, it brings proportions back.

Carolina Becker: I have a very oblong face, but also thin and rectangular. My entire life I was called horseface, i always wished i had a more round face to give me a more feminine look. I really dislike it especially now that i am getting older, it looks even longer because the loss of cheekbones volume. So, as i can't change my face shape, in the beginning of my 20's I decided I was going to cut my hair, cut bangs, or wherever i wanted to do with it instead of following rules or trying to make my face look wider. It was the best decision I've ever made. My hair was always a reference to the other girls and being stylish made me more attractive. Now I have a very long hair, middle parted and I don't plan to change it any sooner. Am I satisfied? Not really. But I can make it work like you said, trying to create a look that goes well with the whole thing. Thank you for the video, it's rare to see a content for our kind of face shape.

Scarlet Stott: This is brilliant I have a very long face and was so embarrassed all my life till I really understood kibble and that my kibble type was more important when in came to flattering my bones musculature and flesh and it’s really changed my perspective to enjoying my look not feeling embarrassed and like I need to hide everything you said was spot on as usual thank you Aly your keen insight is a breath of fresh air x

amanda kimie: love the video. thank you for the tips. i think its crazy how sometimes we can't see the characteristics in our own faces, but then you put it in a way that help us recognize these things. i love what you said about earning our "imperfections", i personally learned to love the things in my face that i once had issues with.

Kimberly Carter: for most of my life, until my late twenties I thought a middle part on my face was ugly. then I started parting in the middle with parted, wispy bangs and I felt like charlotte gainsbourg. i have mostly straight hair, and I agree, the seventies look works for me and my frame (classic, as far as I can surmise)

Surreal Beauty: I have a long face. I embrace my big head with updos, half up half down styles, messy top buns, side parts with tighter waves, and straight long middle parts. I typically feel more comfortable with more volume at the top with a side part but I'm a soft natural so the messy soft slept in hair suits me well.

Marianum Gajeena: Omg! I absolutely agree with your approach to face features: it's not about flaws, it's about non-matching vibe

Lorna Sofía: I actually feel so loved watching this! I am constantly trying to learn how to "work" my really long face and you just made me felt like ... "why the stress? " thank you for such amazing videos! I proceed to binge watch all of them now :')

Spaceisme: Thank you so much Ally!! I have extremely long face and long very straight hair without fringe. I wear my hairstyle alot like you said hippies and a high sleek bun and both look amazing if you ask me And I am not tall but more theatrical romantic in body type. And it still looks great ☺️ Thanks for confirming and also having an open eye for beauty. Your tips and channel is really one of a kind ❤️❤️❤️

Holly Niemand: Wow, this was really helpfull because it was so sophisticated how you payed attention to the fact, that not all long faces look the same and not everyone feels comfartable with the same vibes. Thank you! I have a long face (similar proportions like sarah jessca parker) and I think, I look better with long hair (at least to the collarbones) and without a fringe. My hair has very little volume and looks even thiner when it is shorter. Also bangs could look really thin and greasy if you have a wide forehead and fine sleek hair. When I was younger I once had a perm and I liked this too, but I'm not sure, if this style would still look great today in my 30s.

Moon Moon: I love how you make videos for everyone, it's really refreshing when the current trend on social media is to all look alike. This trend has to go, I love to see diversity . By the way this glasses are looking amazing on you with this color, you're stunning today ! ♥️

Valentina Gomez: I loved this video and I think it has to be named as "the ultimate guide to oblong faces". During my life I experimented all type of hairstyles, I was so insecure about having an oblong face... Now I realised that is a beautiful and elegant feature. I've been always loved the hair on the side, side part hairstyle and now I'm experimenting with middle part hairstyle

Chiara Rizzo: Hi Aly, I've been following you for a long time and I really admire you. You give advice that I never saw before in other channels and that really works. I have a question that I hope you are interested in: How to wax the sideburns according to our face shape or general texture. It is something that I have been asking myself for a long time and I can't find information about it, I tried to draw my own conclusions but I want to know what you think about it. Thank you and many greetings from Argentina

Meruna Art: My face is in between an oval and a diamond I think. For years I struggled with bangs, they were too heavy usually and I had a hard time styling them. When I finally tried out a side part and started growing them out is when I found my look! Now I am growing them out completely :)

Kristina Schlegel: I love love love how you embrace this face shape and the features! Playing up distinct features that really enhance your individuality. Thank you from us long-faced ladies. Xo

Jayaradhe Devi Dasi: Thank you for this video! I love how you encourage us to love the face shape, which has often been a source of insecurity for a lot of people. Thank you - this is sooo refreshing! X

Samanta Rizzi: You can have long face and also pointed chin (like I have!). Bella Hadid and Hayley to me don’t seem like they have particularly long faces. SJP sure does, it’s noticeable. Also Blake Lively has pointy chin and that makes her face seem longer. I feel the same way about Jennifer Aniston. In my opinion long faces are more narrow not too wide. Bella Hadid has cheek bones (fake or not doesn’t matter) that make her face seem less long :)

Sue L.: I love this video, very empowering! I've always been slightly embarrassed of my long face but you have given me a confidence boost. Bless you! ❤️

Elena Nedeva: Aly, you are amazing! Hugs from one dramatic natural, tall, Bulgarian woman, with long face and curly hair. All you said works great for me and I do it. Thank you so much, you are such a sweetheart! ♥️

Denine D: I would consider my face to be slightly long. But I do feel my best with a sleek bun going back to bring out my face. It really adds that regal look. Good video again Aly ✨

Donna dela Cruz: i wish i saw this video in my teenage years! i kept cutting my hair into curtain bangs for years bc i was insecure about my long forehead but i realized bangs dont suit my aesthetic and are also impossible to maintain in my country’s humid weather. in recent years ive learned to stop fixating on my flaws and highlight instead on my positive features inside and out!

Stephy2185: Your videos never fail to inspire me! You are truly a positive force for body and image positivity!!! Amazing!! Thank you for your content!!!

Maddy Lewis: Thanks this was so helpful! I have a slightly longer face with a pointed chin and I used to always just have very long hair with central part, but I started experimenting with fringe/ bangs and I look and feel so much more confident. I prefer the curtain bangs on me because the full fringe feels like it’s blocking my face and I get oily under it so the curtain bangs are a lot more stylish and natural looking and freeing and it looks nicer if you are trying to grow out the fringe :)

di xo: I appreciate you so much! Your tips are truly helpful and your perspective on beauty is beyond refreshing and inspiring. Seriously, thank you!

maryalicepisa: Thank you for your videos! You are gifted. I still remember the Monica Belucci Makeup you did. Looked just like her! I want to share a tip Mark Taylor (Best haircuts ever! San Marino, CA) gave me about hair length. It is so true for my face/hair. I never looked good with hair above the shoulders. He said that if the length from the bottom of the bottom lip is short, hair above the shoulders looks good and if long distance lip to chin, hair longer than the shoulders looks good. I have a long face and long distance lip to chin. Also, straight hair works much better than curly. Seems counterintuitive, but true!

it's alien: ah yes! my daily dose of beauty positivity from Aly

Bridge: Fellow long face here. I cut my hair with dramatic layers and have a fringe about a year ago. It really added air, like you mentioned and totally complimented my face shape!

kkania: I always feel so happy with my face and features after watching your videos. It's amazing that you are both sincere and helpful.

Tracey U: I have a long diamond shaped face. It's been years of confusion for me until I actually took a tape measure to my face. From center hairline to my chin is 8" long. I'm widest at my upper cheekbones-5.5", jaw and temples are the same width-4.5". I have rather balanced dimensions: 2" between my center hairline and my brows. 3" from my brows to the bottom of my nose and 3" from the bottom of my nose to the bottom of my chin. My whole life I've worn bangs of every sort. I think deliberate is the word I use to describe my clothes and hair. I feel I fit the dramatic classic style catagory best. Traditional with a twist. I love simplicity, elegance, tailoring, with the slightest bit of edge or some element that keeps the traditional from looking boring.

Katie •: Im so interested in different cheekbones. Im mostly European, very square face pronounced cheekbones that come out off face sides but the end lower below my nose tip. My ex boyfriend is 1/2 native Canadian his are so short but sit high and almost horizontal. Even with a nearly same face shape. Now since someone pointed out cheekbones I cannot stop looking at everyone’s lol. I love them all! I also love your outlook on features. Nothing is ever wrong or out of place just can be looked at differently as an artist would. Accentuating different areas to bring harmony

Beautiful Loneliness: I have a pretty long face and also kind of androgynous, so I play a lot with my hair, I feel like side bangs and micro bangs/straight bangs looks really good with my vibe, also my hair is colorfull and rn a short bob, the attitude and the self love are the most important things in the end

Rayelle Johnson: Longer face here and my favorite thing to do is the air in the hair especially at the sides and not at top. However I’m also a soft dramatic so not sure if this works with everyone (so I think since I look awful in soft natural clothes) Also my roots are dark and blonde balayage highlightish through the rest. Brings even more volume to the sides and less to the top

Mayowa U: Thanks Aly I really enjoyed this! Please can you do something specifically on oblong faces (long with prominent jaw) and shorter necks. Thanks so much

DEY X: “If a thought can be created it can be also not created” - Aly Art 2021

Haya Alhibshi: I agree with you. Your vibe and confidence you will rock every look! ✨

Karolina: You inspire me to try something new with my hair and long face :)

Myla Gee Diaz: I agree with what you just quoted .. that you don't have to have this cut just to hide something (imperfection).. it's just the people that comments and throws criticisms that makes you feel uncomfortable with your imperfections that u just wanna hide it

Luinmir: Thank you for this! I think I have quite a long face and I look just horrible with a middle parting, also because I don't have much hair there since I have POCS and it's a symptom of it. I don't look good even with a French bang but I don't understand why, since I guess I have a long forehead? I would appreciate any tip if you can spend a moment replying ❤️

S Williams: I would love to know more about sharp features! The girl at 6 minutes is a great example you used. I have a long face, pointy chin and my lips have such a prominent Cupid’s bow and I would love to learn how to soften it! Xx

ganz211: Omg THANK YOU!!! My face is so long and I never know what to do with my hair! You’re the best

Silk: Oh, my. I have a long face and broad features (I.e., nose, lips). A few minutes into watching this video, I changed my hair part from side-left to a middle part. Boom! Now both sides of my hair flow away from my top lips. Fabulous, Helpful, video. Thank you

LaShawna Blanton: I just love your perspective. You are making me feel so much more confident. God bless you

Lkb Merlin: Thank you so much. I’m a soft gamine with a long face and high forehead. I can do long bangs almost to eyes with long waves for a French girl vibe or shorten my hair to collar bone length to increase volume on sides rounding out my hair and balance my face. I’ve also had beautiful long straight hair with a side part. My best tip is to smile, all your features move up and your cheeks fill out.

af Muhammad: Thanks to you I learnt so much + I gained confidence

Tamara Piatrouskaya: It was super helpful and completely make sense to me! Thank you so much! :)

Flower: Hi Aly, I always enjoy your videos. You seem really studied and gifted on finding a woman's true and flattering hair, makeup, and clothing style. Do you have a style consulting service like where someone can send you photos and virtually plan out a makeover with your help? There are also phone apps for trying on makeup and hair colors for example and it would be amazing to get your opinion on looks from those.

Husky Mom: You made me feel so much better about my high forehead - thank you! Any suggestions about a square face with a long forehead?

1816 Glitch: I love your videos so much! I have a long face, but i'm more on a Romantic / TR side (so i think) .The only style that i feel confident is a pineapple bun ... Sometimes i feel like my face doesn't match my body

CarmenCherie93: what a helpful video. I love how you dont make rules but options for what can look good.

H R: Amazing video! I’ll keep those tips in mind. I also love the hippy long hair effect on my face which is pretty long

Slush Puppy: My middle of my face is elongated I think. My face is small in proportion to the rest of my body and I find it hard to tell if I have an oval or oblong face. My face length is around twice the width maybe a bit less its a bit hard to tell. The thing that throws me off is if I tie my hair back it looks bad on me. Something about it just looks off so I never tie my hair in a bun or ponytail- its very much a personal thing I think like you said. I always liked my hair long and parted in the middle. I am hesitant to get a fringe- should have tried it in lockdown but oh well. I have tried shorter hair cuts (chin/just above chin level) and they were okay but it just didn't look like me. My brother said I looked like a skater boy as I was growing it out when it got to a length where it wasn't really a bob but also wasnt long lol. Then ends looked really messy and stuck out.

Ms Nzbody: I have a long face and I feel a bun or the Araiana grande high ponytail is my fav, because it shows the roundness of my forhead. If I part my hair straight in the middle I swear I look like masculine..lol Truth is in general long faces on a women are not considered beautiful and men are not generally attracted to them. If you have a long face you need to have beautiful features to counteract it. Like Liv Tyler she has lots of other pretty features. I do think if you’re going to have a long face its best for it to come from a long forehead, not from a long midface o r lower third of face like Demi Moores daughters. Poor things I showed a pic to my sister and she asked me if they were men in drag.

Online Makeup Academy: Just LOVE seeing a professional know their stuff

Monika: This was the most intelligent and right words about oblong faces, i have ever heard :)) im really impressed, thank you :)

Devon Bear: oo i asked for this video just yesterday, so happy to see one for long faces and also that long hair is ok for long faces too! Thankyou!

Gabriela Gasperin: I have very long and slim face and I love a sleeky bun. Some other person could tell me that my forehead looks too big or I would look like a “horse”, but you don’t do that. You are so respectful. You never tell someone to hide something, that’s what we can call a pro!

Lindsay S: Great video. Came here for tips on covering my large forehead and left with better self-esteem and some great style ideas.

Rachel Hebert: How do i dress when I am a TR without looking too much like I'm trying to get attention? I find wearing form-fitting clothing and lots of jewelry makes me seem somewhat overdressed or inappropriate. Love your videos!

Virginia: If you have a long face, never do short layers. You want long layers. Parting your hair on the side will shorten the length too.

xscdmd: Please do more on long faces!

Doge: Thanks, this helped me realize that I look bad with my hair up because I'm ugly, not because my face is long LOL. Kidding (sort of), but it's good to know that I don't have to get short hair or whatever to look better with my long face.

Aksana: We are ALL so beautifully unique <3!!

vvs: Anjelica Huston looks great with her long straight hair.

Sonia Sohi: I have. a super long face with sharp features and bangs makes my face look less long , more younger. and very nice. They are the type that can do any apart and grow into face framing layers .

xoyo: Thank you so much for this video! I also was the one, who was asking about long faces

Bellah Nemetona: I am in this category. I was wearing bobs in red, purple or very often extra bright ginger colour and something was always not right. I couldn't say what it was. I am 43 y old and my mam was telling me all my life since childhood that with my type of a face i have to wear my hair shorter. And also that my earings should be very short. Than, 10 years ago i moved in different country and all of a sudden, no one was telling me anything like that. I grew my hair long, i part them in the middle and i changed colour for honey with blondish streaks. I started wearing long, long earings that i always admired and here we go! I just simply look great! No joke! Just for reference: i am 1.62 cm high and i consider myself to be a natural type. Btw thank you Ally for all your advices

AmericanGirl: Hi Aly! Please do a video for diamond shaped faces/widest through the cheeks. Thanks!

Teresa Darnielle Morse: I was excited to watch this video but all the examples except one have long hair. Would love a follow up on tips for people with narrow faces who wear short hair. Thank you

ichsohalt: i thought you had much more subscribers, your informations are SO helpfull, more people need to see this!

Asdfghj: This is meee thank you! I feel like Hailey Baldwin doesn’t have a long face though

Sybil Nix: Omg I thought there was something wrong with me since long wavy/curly hair makes me feel like my face is wayyyyy too long I’m so scared of having wavy/curly bangs but the pics you shared in that early section are so cute

Diana Mary: This one's for me! Thanks Aly.

Daria M.: Thank you so much! This was much much needed.

Lois: I have a long face that is proportionate in segments of 3 vertically; however, my temples and forehead narrow slightly. The lower 2/3s of my face is balanced well. My eyes are a little large, but that combined w/ the narrow temples and narrow forehead makes my forehead look large. Is there a way I can make my temples and forehead look wider?

Brittany Dumoulin: 70's girl here..with my long face the curtain bangs are my go to thru out the years thanks!!

Manali Kotecha: Yesss finally one for me thank youuuu

Ember: Aly you make me feel so much better about my appearance

Beautiful Lady: You’re so cute. I have a long face & yes parting it off to the center looks amazing ! Thank you for the tips!

Shirley Anderson: I love your attitude. Your aesthetic is very broad and acknowledges all kinds of styles. "Pretty" gets boring.

Sevi Regis: In person, my face is small and my thick hair completely overwhelms it, making it look narrow and long when it isn’t. I need a new do, but Never quite sure what hair length and style suits me best for balance and proportion.

cherrzbearz: Thank you, u really helped me see my face in a different light :)

Deux Journalistes: I can't believe oblong or elongated faces would even be considered a negative anymore. In these times where we are exposed to so many different cultures, races, and personalities, why would we hold onto a standard that originated from the classical greeks? It's so weird to me. As I've gotten older, I just find people more and more beautiful and interesting, just as they are. I like this channel, and that you put people's humanity first.

Tik Tok tendencias y retos: I've passed the last month thinking that short hair doesn't fit my face, but thanks to you now I'm gonna cut it cuz I reaaaally wanted to, I'm so excited

Inanna: Such an inspiring lady ❤ I wish I were one of your best friends! They are lucky.

Hetty Herz: I have a long face and really long curly hair, I do love to part in the middle and I'm sure it looks awesome.
